In this paper, first by using Hamilton principle, we derive the variational equation of circular corrugated plates. Taking the central maximum amplitude of circular corrugated plates as the perturbation parameter and adopting the perturbation variational method, in the first-order approximation, we obtain the natural frequency of linear vibration of circular corrugated plates and then the nonlinear natural frequency of the corrugated plates. By comparing with the linear results, the attempt of this paper is proved feasible.This paper was presented in the 2nd National Conference on Vibration (Xi'An 1984) 相似文献

In this paper, fundamental equations and boundary conditions of nonlinear axisymmetrical bending theory for the circular sandwich plates with a soft core are derived by means of the method of calculus of variations. Especially in the case of very thin faces, the preceding fundamental epuations and boundary conditions simplity considerably. For example, a circular sandwich plate with edge clamped but free to siip under the action of uniform lateral load is considered. A more accurate solution of this problem has been obtained by means of the modified iteration method.Notation

The BEM is developed for nonlinear free and forced vibrations of circular plates with variable thickness undergoing large
deflections. General boundary conditions are considered, which may be also nonlinear. The problem is formulated in terms of
displacements. The solution is based on the concept of the analog equation, according to which the two coupled nonlinear differential
equations with variable coefficients pertaining to the in-plane radial and transverse deformation are converted to two uncoupled
linear ones of a substitute beam with unit axial and unit bending stiffness, respectively, under fictitious quasi-static load

Summary In this paper, a combination model based on the Mises yield criterion which considers simultaneously the expansion (or the contraction) and the translation of the yield surface is treated. This work investigates nonlinear characteristics of a circular laminated plate. A nonparametric identification method based on the Hilbert transform is applied to identify the nonlinear system. The results demonstrate that the force–displacement curve has a soft nonlinear characteristic under small displacements and a hard nonlinear characteristic under large displacements. The force–velocity curve also has a soft nonlinear characteristic. A circular isotropic plate is treated to test the method. The force-state method is adopted to confirm the identification results. The effects of the plate diameter are examined. A combination of a cubic polynomial and a hyperbolic tangent function is proposed to fit the experiment data. The fitting results are verified by time domain simulations under random excitations. The work illustrates some novel nonlinear characteristics in transverse vibration of a circular laminated plate via a nonlinear system identification process. 相似文献

Analytic nonlinear three-dimension solutions are presented for axially symmetrical homogeneous isotropic circular plates and multilayered plates with rigidly clamped boundary conditions and under transverse load.The geometric nonlinearily from a moderately large deflection is considered.A developmental perturbation method is used to solve the complicated nonlinear three-dimension differential equations of equilibrium.The basic idea of this perturbation method is using the two-dimension solutions as a basic form of the corresponding three-dimension solutions,and then processing the perturbation procedure to obtain the three-dimension perturbation solutions.The nonlinear three-dimension results in analytic expressions and in numerical forms for ordinary plates and multilayered plates are presented.All of the plate stresses are shown in figures.The results show that this perturbation method used to analyse nonlinear three-dimension problems of plates is effective. 相似文献

Summary In this paper a nonlinear vibration theory which includes the effects of transverse shear deformation and rotatory inertia is formulated for rectilinearly orthotropic circular plates using Berger's method. A solution to the governing equations for rigidly clamped plates is obtained on the basis of a single-mode approach by use of Galerkin's method and numerical Runge-Kutta procedure. A good agreement is found between present results and those obtained by a more accurate theory for nonlinear static and dynamic cases. Numerical results indicate significant influence of these effects on the vibration behaviour of moderately thick plates, especially high-modulus composite plates. These effects, however, are not so significant for the radius-to-thickness ratio greater than 10.

Übersicht Eine Theorie nichtlinearer Schwingungen orthotroper Kreisplatten wird mit der Methode von Berger formuliert, wobei Schubverformung und Drehträgheit berücksichtigt werden. Für eingespannte Platten wird mit dem Verfahren von Galerkin eine numerische Lösung bestimmt und mit bekannten Lösungen verglichen. Die numerischen Ergebnisse zeigen, daß der Einfluß von Schubverformung und Drehträgheit bei mäßig dicken Platten beträchtlich sein kann.相似文献

Based on von Karman plate theory, the issue about nonlinear vibration for circular sandwich plates under circumjacent load with the loosely clamped boundary condition was researched. Nonlinear differential eigenvalue equations and boundary conditions of the problem were formulated by variational method and then their exact static solution can be got. The solution was derived by modified iteration method, so the analytic relations between amplitude and nonlinear oscillating frequency for circular sandwich plates were obtained. When circumjacent load makes the lowest natural frequency zero, critical load is obtained. 相似文献

A theoretical model for geometrically nonlinear vibration analysis of thermo-piezoelectrically actuated circular plates made
of functionally grade material (FGM) is presented based on Kirchhoff’s–Love hypothesis with von-Karman type geometrical large
nonlinear deformations. The material properties of the FG core plate are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction according
to the power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. Dynamic equations and boundary conditions
including thermal, elastic and piezoelectric couplings are formulated and solutions are derived. An exact series expansion
method combined with perturbation approach is used to model the nonlinear thermo-electro-mechanical vibration behavior of
the structure. Control of the FG plate’s nonlinear deflections and natural frequencies using high control voltages is studied
and their nonlinear effects are evaluated. Numerical results for FG plates with various mixtures of ceramic and metal are
presented in dimensionless forms. A parametric study is also undertaken to highlight the effects of the thermal environment,
applied actuator voltage and material composition of the FG core plate on the nonlinear vibration characteristics of the composite

In this paper we discuss the adoption of the anisotropic hardening model due to the existence of Bauschinger effect when thin plate is applied by repeated loading. The loading condition of thin plates for linear kinematic hardening has been deduced in terms of generalized forces and generalized plastic deformation. The governing equation of a Helmholtz resonator considering nonlinear terms of restoring and damping forces is studied. The system is treated by a time multi-scales method, and the softening and hardening behaviors of such resonators are detected as functions of amplitudes. In this study, elastic large deflection analysis of axisymmetric ring-stiffened circular and annular general angle-ply laminated plates subjected to transverse uniform load is studied. Based on first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and large deflection von-Karman relations, the governing equations are derived. The dynamic relaxation (DR) method in conjunction with the central finite difference discretization technique is used to solve the nonlinear equilibrium equations. A detailed parametric study is carried out to investigate the influences of plate thicknesses, stiffener width, stiffener depth, fiber orientation, stacking sequence and different types of boundary conditions.
