Anionic polymerization high vacuum techniques were employed for the synthesis of a diblock (PS-b-PtBuMA) and two triblock (PS-b-PtBuMA-b-PS) copolymers of polystyrene (PS) and poly(t-butyl methacrylate) (PtBuMA) bearing similar low molecular weight PS end-block(s). Dilute solution viscometry, as well as static and dynamic light scattering, were employed to assess whether the short PS end-blocks were able to promote association in t-amyl alcohol, a selective solvent for PtBuMA. The effect of macromolecular architecture on the association behavior of the copolymers was also examined.  相似文献

Free radical copolymerisation of tert-butyl methacrylate (1) and itaconic anhydride (2) has been investigated and reactivity ratios and have been obtained. Peak temperature of the endotherm and the enthalpy of the cis-elimination of the tert-butyl ester show a linear dependence on the content of anhydride in the copolymer. Alcoholysis of the anhydride with methanol resulted in complete formation of monomethyl itaconate, whereas the reaction with isopropanol in the presence of N,N-dimethyl-aminopyridine as catalyst stopped at lower conversion. Re-formation of the anhydride takes place around 100 °C in case of the monoisopropyl itaconate and at 120 °C for the monomethyl ester. This offers the possibility to adjust polymer properties, e.g. glass transition temperatures and solubility by controlled polymer analogous reaction. The copolymers can be used in photoresist processing, where adhesion and solubility can be adjusted during processing by alcoholysis and baking steps.  相似文献

A trace amount of solvents such as n-octane, n-nonane, n-decane, ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate, isoamyl acetate, toluene, ethyl benzene, n-propyl benzene, isopropyl benzene and chloro benzene was passed through the column of a gas chromatograph of which the stationary phase is poly(tert-butyl acrylate-b-methyl methacrylate), poly(tBA-b-MMA), block copolymer with low polydispersity, prepared via ATRP of tBA and MMA, respectively. The retention diagrams to determine the thermal transition of the polymer were obtained by plotting the logarithm of the specific retention volumes of isoamyl acetate and toluene against reciprocal values of absolute column temperatures between 40 and 170 °C by inverse gas chromatography (IGC) technique. Three glass transition temperatures, Tgs of poly(tBA-b-MMA) were determined at 50, 70 and 105 °C by IGC indicating the phase separation of the polymeric blocks in the copolymer. The thermodynamical interaction parameters such as weight fraction activity coefficient of solvent at infinite dilution, , Flory-Huggins polymer-solvent interaction parameter, , equation-of-state polymer solvent interaction parameter, , effective exchange energy parameter, Xeff, and solubility parameter of the copolymer, δ2 were calculated at studied temperatures. The closeness of parameters of the poly(tBA-b-MMA) to those of the PMMA indicated that the continuous phase is MMA block in the microphase separated block copolymer. It seems that IGC is a reliable technique to study a phase separated block copolymer which contains nanosized domains.  相似文献

Poly(methyl methacrylate-co-styrene)-block-polysulfide-block-poly(methyl methacrylate-co-styrene) triblock copolymers were synthesized for the first time by the free radical copolymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and styrene (St) in the presence of a thiocol oligomer as a chain transfer agent, followed by chemical oxidation of the remaining SH-end groups. The apparent chain transfer constant of the thiocol SH groups in the copolymerization reaction was estimated from the rate of consumption of the thiol groups versus the overall rate of consumption of the monomers (CT = 1.28). Based on this value, the chain transfer constant of the thiocol SH groups in St polymerization was calculated . The triblock copolymers synthesized were characterized by SEC and 1H NMR measurements.  相似文献

The synthesis of one original poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)-g-perfluoropolyether graft copolymer, achieved from the radical terpolymerization of vinylidene fluoride (VDF), hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) bearing an ω-allylic group, is presented. This functional PFPE was synthesized from the condensation of an ω-carboxylic PFPE with an allyl amine. The terpolymerization was initiated by t-butyl peroxide in a perfluorohexane/acetonitrile mixture. NMR spectroscopy enabled the VDF, HFP and allyl amido PFPE base units contained in the terpolymer to be assessed, showing the good incorporation of VDF and the poor reactivity of HFP.  相似文献

1,2,4,5-Tetrakis(p-tert-butylphenylselenomethyl)benzene was synthesized and used as a tetrafunctional photoiniferter for the polymerization of styrene. Both the yield and the number average molecular weight () of polymers increased with reaction time and linearly increased with yield of polymer. The polymerization of styrene using this novel photoiniferter permitted formation of star-shaped polystyrene containing arylseleno groups at the chain ends, and the average degree of functionality was 3.2. Photopolymerization of styrene with end-functional star polystyrene as polymeric photoiniferter afforded polystyrene having high molecular weight.  相似文献

We have studied the structural evolution of monoclinic BaZr(PO4)2 during heating up to 835 K by Raman spectroscopy. In agreement with previous studies we found a first-order phase transition at about 730 K during heating while upon cooling the reverse transition occurs at 705 K. However, some disagreement about the crystal structure of the high-temperature polymorph occurs in the literature. While the space group has not yet been determined, the X-ray diffraction pattern of the high-temperature phase has been indexed on either an orthorhombic or a hexagonal unit cell. We found that the number of Raman active internal PO4 vibrational modes decrease from nine to six during the transition. A group theoretical survey through all orthorhombic, trigonal, and hexagonal factor groups revealed that the observed number of vibrations would only be consistent with the Ba and Zr atoms located at a site, the P and two O atoms at a C3v(3m), and six O atoms at a Cs(m) site in the D3d factor group. Based on our Raman data, the space group of the high-temperature polymorph is thus either , , or .  相似文献

The novel compound Ca2Co1.6Ga0.4O5 with brownmillerite (BM) structure has been prepared from citrates at 950 °C. The crystal structure of Ca2Co1.6Ga0.4O5 was refined, from neutron powder diffraction (NPD) data, in space group Pnma, , , , χ2=1.798, , Rwp=0.0378 and Rp=0.0292. On the basis of the NPD refinement the compound was found to be a G-type antiferromagnet (space group Pnma) at room temperature, with the magnetic moments of cobalt atoms directed along chains of tetrahedra in the BM structure. Electron diffraction and electron microscopy studies revealed disorder in the crystallites, which can be interpreted as the presence of slabs with BM-type structure of Pnma and I2mb symmetry.  相似文献

The enthalpies of solution were determined for 1,1,3,3-tetramethylurea in ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, and t-butanol (2-methyl-2-propanol). Measurements were made at 298.15 K and molalities m ≅ (0.007 to 0.036) mol · kg−1 with a precise isoperibol ampoule-type calorimeter. Standard enthalpies of solution and transfer from one alkanol to the other (including methanol) were calculated. The obvious relationship between the enthalpic and volumetric effects of solution of tetramethylurea in the n-alkanols (C1-C4) was discovered. The enthalpic effects of transfer caused by branching of the alkanol molecules, 1-propanol → 2-propanol, and 1-butanol → t-butanol, are opposite in sign and dominated by the configurational changes in the solvation environment of tetramethylurea.  相似文献

The new functional styrenic monomer, 4-trisylmethyl styrene (TsiMS) [Tsi=trisyl=tris(trimethylsilyl)methyl], was synthesized by reacting 4-chloromethyl styrene (CMS) with trisyllithium (TsiLi) in tetrahydrofuran (THF) solvent in the presence of copper chloride (CuCl). Attempt for the free radical polymerization of TsiMS by α,α-azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) as an initiator at 70 ± 1 °C failed for several periods of times. This result showed that the trisyl group is a highly sterically hindered substituent and, subsequently, TsiMS becomes resistant for polymerization. Therefore, for preparation of new methacrylic, acrylic and dienic copolymers of TsiMS, we firstly synthesized the copolymers of CMS with different monomers such as methyl methacrylate (MMA), ethyl methacrylate (EMA), methyl acrylate (MA), ethyl acrylate (EA), n-butyl acrylate (BA) and isoprene (IP) by free radical polymerization method in toluene solution at 70 ± 1 °C using AIBN initiator to give the copolymers I-VI in good yields. The copolymer compositions were obtained using related 1H NMR spectra and the polydispersity indices of the copolymers determined using gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The trisyl groups were then covalently attached to the obtained copolymers as side chains by reaction between excess of TsiLi and benzyl chloride bonds of CMS units, to give the copolymers - in 80-92% yields. All the resulted polymers were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopic techniques. The solubility of all the copolymers was examined in various polar and non-polar solvents. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of all copolymers was determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) apparatus. The Tg value of copolymers containing bulky trisyl groups was found to increase with incorporation of trisyl groups in polymer structures. The presence of trisyl groups in polymer side chains, create new macromolecules with novel modified properties.  相似文献

Well‐defined poly(tert‐butyl methacrylate)‐graft‐poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS) graft copolymers were synthesized via reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) copolymerization of methacryloyl‐terminated poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS‐MA) with tert‐butyl methacrylate (tBuMA) in ethyl acetate, using 2,2′‐azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) as the initiator and 2‐cyanoprop‐2‐yl dithiobenzoate as the RAFT agent. The RAFT statistical copolymerization of PDMS‐MA with tBuMA is shown to be azeotropic and the obtained PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers have homogeneously distributed branches because of the similar reactivity of monomers (rtBuMArPDMSMA ≈ 1). By the RAFT block copolymerization of PDMS‐MA with tBuMA, moreover, narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn < 1.3) PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers with gradient or blocky branch spacing were synthesized. The graft copolymers exhibit the glass transitions corresponding to the PDMS and PtBuMA phase, respectively. However, the arrangement of monomer units in copolymer chains and the length of PtBuMA moieties have important effects on the thermal behavior of PtBuMA‐g‐PDMS graft copolymers. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Monodisperse and isolated microspheres of poly(N-methylaniline) were successfully prepared through chemical polymerization of N-methylaniline by in adipic acid containing poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). Mean diameters of the microspheres with smooth surfaces changed from 320 to 100 nm by increasing the reaction temperature from 25 to 75 °C. The concentration of PVP did not affect much the size of microspheres, but the increased PVP concentration led to longer induction times for the onset of dispersion polymerization.  相似文献

A new ternary compound, Ce2PdGa10, has been synthesized using Ga flux and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Ce2PdGa10 adopts a tetragonal structure in the I4/mmm space group and is isostructural to Ce2NiGa10. Lattice parameters are , , , and Z=2. The compound is metallic (dρ/dT>0), with the resistance decreasing roughly linearly with temperature from 300 to 175 K. The magnetic susceptibility of Ce2PdGa10 is consistent with local-moment paramagnetism and no long-range magnetic ordering occurs down to 2 K. A large positive magnetoresistance over 200% is observed at 2 K for fields of 9 T. In this paper, we present the structure and physical properties of Ce2PdGa10 and compared them to CePdGa6.  相似文献

A new heterometallic iodide, PbI4Cu2(PPh3)4, was synthesized by reactions of PbI2, CuI and triphenylphosphine (PPh3) in DMF solution. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses show that Pb(II) center adopts an unusual cis-divacant octahedral geometry. Crystal data: triclinic, space group , , , , α=106.623(4)°, β=103.478(6)°, γ=93.574(5)°, and Z=2. Density function theory (DFT) calculations and fragment orbital interaction analyses reveal the presence of a three-center four-electron (3c-4e) hypervalent bonding about lead; and the formation of the unusual cis-divacant [PbI4]2− octahedron is energetically favorable. The title yellow compound has an optical bandgap of 2.69 eV and shows remarkable red-infrared fluorescence emission at 732 nm with lifetime of 24 μs which is assigned as an iodine 5p-lead 6s to PPh3-lead 6p charge transfer (XM-LM-CT).  相似文献
