A uqr mapping of an -manifold is a mapping which is rational with respect to a bounded measurable conformal structure on . Remarkably, the only closed manifolds on which locally (but not globally) injective uqr mappings act are Euclidean space forms. We further characterize space forms admitting uniformly quasiregular self mappings and we show that the space forms admitting branched uqr maps are precisely the spherical space forms. We further show that every non-injective uqr map of a Euclidean space form is a quasiconformal conjugate of a conformal map. This is not true if the non-injective hypothesis is removed.

We adopt the idea of Baire's category method as presented in a series of papers by Dacorogna and Marcellini to study the boundary value problem for quasiregular mappings in space. Our main result is to prove that for any 0$"> and any piece-wise affine map with for almost every there exists a map such that

The theorems of Dacorogna and Marcellini do not directly apply to our result since the involved sets are unbounded. Our proof is elementary and does not require any notion of polyconvexity, quasiconvexity or rank-one convexity in the vectorial calculus of variations, as required in the papers by the quoted authors.

We investigate how the integrability of the derivatives of Orlicz-Sobolev mappings defined on open subsets of Rn affect the sizes of the images of sets of Hausdorff dimension less than n. We measure the sizes of the image sets in terms of generalized Hausdorff measures.  相似文献

We prove a common fixed point theorem of Gregus type for four mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition in metric spaces using the concept of weak compatibility which generalizes theorems of [I. In this paper, based on a basic result on condensing mappings satisfying the interior condition, some new fixed point theorems of the condensing mappings of this kind are obtained. As a result, the famous Altman’s theorem, Roth’s theorem and Petryshyn’s theorem are extended to condensing mappings satisfying the interior condition.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We classify proper holomorphic mappings between generalized pseudoellipsoids of different dimensions. Those domains are parametrized by the exponents. The relations among them are also obtained. Main tool is the orthogonal decomposition of a CR bundle. Such a decomposition derives the ‘variable-splitting’ of the mapping.  相似文献

We characterize the (sequentially) weak and strong closure of planar diffeomorphisms in the Sobolev topology and we show that they always coincide. We also provide some sufficient condition for a planar map to be approximable by diffeomorphisms in terms of the connectedness of its counter-images, in the spirit of Young's characterisation of monotone functions. We finally show that the closure of diffeomorphisms in the Sobolev topology is strictly contained in the class INV introduced by Müller and Spector.  相似文献

This paper deals with the stability properties of those set-valued mappings from locally metrizable spaces to Euclidean spaces for which the images are the convex hull of their boundaries (i.e., they are closed convex sets not containing a halfspace). Examples of this class of mappings are the feasible set and the optimal set of convex optimization problems, and the solution set of convex systems, when the data are subject to perturbations. More in detail, we associate with the given set-valued mapping its corresponding boundary mapping and we analyze the transmission of the stability properties (lower and upper semicontinuity, continuity and closedness) from the given mapping to its boundary and vice versa.  相似文献

This article presents a mathematical analysis of input-output mappings in inverse coefficient and source problems for the linear parabolic equation ut=(kx(x)ux)+F(x,t), (x,t)∈ΩT:=(0,1)×(0,T]. The most experimentally feasible boundary measured data, the Neumann output (flux) data f(t):=−k(0)ux(0,t), is used at the boundary x=0. For each inverse problems structure of the input-output mappings is analyzed based on maximum principle and corresponding adjoint problems. Derived integral identities between the solutions of forward problems and corresponding adjoint problems, permit one to prove the monotonicity and invertibility of the input-output mappings. Some numerical applications are presented.  相似文献
