The t-dependence of ?, f and g resonance production is compared using data from the CERN-Munich spectrometer. An amplitude analysis is performed, and the significance for various proposed models of the production mechanism discussed. The OPE term becomes increasingly adequate to describe the data as the resonant mass increases.  相似文献

The reaction np → dπ+π? was studied from threshold up to 3.5 GeV/c neutron beam momentum. Cross-section values for this reaction are evaluated as a function of the beam momentum. The deuteron production features and the enhancement observed in the dπ mass spectrum at 2.17 GeV are adequately described in terms of an OPE model and nucleon-nucleon final-state interactions.  相似文献

We examined the steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence spectral properties of the DNA stain Hoechst 33342 for one-photon (OPE) and two-photon (TPE) excitation. Hoechst 33342 was found to display a large cross section for two-photon excitation within the fundamental wavelength range of pyridine 2 and rhodamine 6G dye lasers, 690 to 770 and 560 to 630 nm, respectively. The time-resolved measurements show that intensity decays are similar for OPE- and TPE. The anisotropy decay measurements of Hoechst 33342 in ethanol revealed the same correlation times for TPE as observed for OPE. However, the zero-time anisotropies recovered from anisotropy decay measurements are 1.4-fold higher for TPE than for OPE. The anisotropy spectra of Hoechst 33342 were examined in glycerol at ?20°C, revealing limiting values close to the theoretical limits for OPE (0.4) and TPE (0.57). The steady-state anisotropy for OPE decreases in the shorter-wavelength region (R6G dye laser, 280–315 nm), but the two-photon anisotropy for 560 to 630-nm excitation remains as high as in the long-wavelength region (690–770 nm). This result suggests that one-photon absorption is due to two electronic, but only one transition contributes to the two-photon absorption over the wavelength range from 580 to 770 nm. Our demonstration of these favorable two-photon properties for Hoechst 33342, and the high photostability of the dye reported by other laboratories, suggests that this dye will be valuable for time-resolved studies of DNA with TPE and for two-photon fluorescence microscopy.  相似文献

Oligo(phenylene ethynylene) (OPE) molecular junction has been suggested as a H2 molecule sensor based on calculations using the first principles of density–functional theory and non-equilibrium Green's function. The electronic transport properties of the OPE molecule between two Au electrodes with or without adsorbed H2 molecules are investigated. Results show that the adsorbed H2 molecule significantly changes the characteristics of the current–voltage curve of the OPE molecular junction. The pure OPE molecular junction exhibits a significant negative differential resistance, but this kind of phenomenon will disappear or weaken after hydrogen molecules are adsorbed. The conductance of the junction also obviously decreases in the bias range of [−0.4, 0.4] V after adsorbing H2 molecules. These effects can be used to design a H2 molecule sensor.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论和非平衡格林函数相结合的方法研究了S原子作为单、双端基的(CH3)2-OPE (齐聚苯乙炔)和(NH2)2-OPE分子在金电极间的电子输运性质. 通过第一性原理优化计算获得分子部分稳定结构, 再置于Au电极之间构成两极系统, 然后再优化整个两极系统获得稳定结构. 另外, 通过非平衡格林函数方法计算了两极系统的电子输运性质. 计算结果表明, 不同的修饰基团和桥接方式可以导致两极系统的开关效应、负微分电阻行为和整流行为等不同的电子输运性质. 通过计算不同偏压下的分子体系投影轨道电子分布、透射谱、态密度, 对这些新异的电输运性质出现的机理进行了解释.  相似文献

分别利用单胶子交换和单π交换夸克模型计算了核子负宇称激发态的电磁跃迁振幅,讨论了两个模型所给出的不同的组态混合角. 结果表明, 单胶子交换模型所给出的重子波函数比单π交换夸克模型的波函数更为合理.Electromagnetic transition amplitudes of negative parity resonances are calculated based on one pion exchange (OPE) model and one gluon exchange (OGE) model, respectively. The configuration mixing caused by the hyperfine interactions of the two models is discussed. Calculated results for the amplitudes indicate that baryon wave functions of OGE are more reasonable than those of OPE.  相似文献

In order to investigate the possibility of the recently observed X(5568) being a 0~+ tetraquark state, we make an improvement to the study of the related various configuration states in the framework of the QCD sum rules. Particularly, to ensure the quality of the analysis, condensates up to dimension 12 are included to inspect the convergence of operator product expansion(OPE) and improve the final results of the studied states. We note that some condensate contributions could play an important role on the OPE side. By releasing the rigid OPE convergence criterion, we arrive at the numerical value 5.57+0.35 for the scalar-scalar diquark-antidiquark 0~+ -0.23 Ge Vstate, which agrees with the experimental data for the X(5568) and could support its interpretation in terms of a 0~+ tetraquark state with the scalar-scalar configuration. The corresponding result for the axial-axial current is calculated to be 5.77+0.44 still consistent with the mass of X(5568) in view of the uncertainty. The feasibility of-0.33 Ge V, which isX(5568) being a tetraquark state with the axial-axial configuration therefore cannot be definitely excluded. For the pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar and the vector-vector cases, their unsatisfactory OPE convergence make it difficult to find reasonable work windows to extract the hadronic information.  相似文献

本工作共积累了317个非弹性作用事例。作用中的次级带电粒子在(π--N)质心系中的角分布与动量分布等和前人结果一致,并且基本上可以用边缘碰撞机制来说明。对带有次级质子的事例作了如下分析:(1)计算全部次级粒子(质子除外)在它们自己系统中的总能量ω。作ω分布,并与边缘碰撞1π交换近似计算的理论曲线比较,在ω=1.5BeV附近观察到有突出于理论曲线之外的高峯,并对峯区内事例进行了初步分析。(2)综合我们的和联合原子核研究所的数据,计算了次级质子在镜象系的非弹性系数Kз,并使Kз值的分布与根据Барашенков等人理论计算的Kз分布曲线作了比较。此外,还试从靶质量观点出发,利用Duller-Walker的F图方法,对不同Kз值的各类事例进行了分析和讨论。  相似文献

The usual formulations of quantum field theory in Minkowski spacetime make crucial use of features—such as Poincaré invariance and the existence of a preferred vacuum state—that are very special to Minkowski spacetime. In order to generalize the formulation of quantum field theory to arbitrary globally hyperbolic curved spacetimes, it is essential that the theory be formulated in an entirely local and covariant manner, without assuming the presence of a preferred state. We propose a new framework for quantum field theory, in which the existence of an Operator Product Expansion (OPE) is elevated to a fundamental status, and, in essence, all of the properties of the quantum field theory are determined by its OPE. We provide general axioms for the OPE coefficients of a quantum field theory. These include a local and covariance assumption (implying that the quantum field theory is constructed in a local and covariant manner from the spacetime metric and other background structure, such as time and space orientations), a microlocal spectrum condition, an “associativity” condition, and the requirement that the coefficient of the identity in the OPE of the product of a field with its adjoint have positive scaling degree. We prove curved spacetime versions of the spin-statistics theorem and the PCT theorem. Some potentially significant further implications of our new viewpoint on quantum field theory are discussed.  相似文献

Theoretical investigation of the polarization effect on a potential single‐molecule transistor has been studied with density functional theory. 4,4′‐(2‐Amino‐5‐nitro‐1,4‐phenylene)bis(ethyne‐2,1‐diyl) dibenzenethiol (AN‐OPE), containing a donor and an acceptor (D–A) crossed to its oligo(p‐phenylene‐ethynylene) (OPE) backbone, was used as a prototype for this study. Simulation results indicate that AN‐OPE has a higher on/off ratio on conductance than OPE because of the larger polarization along the D–A direction. This high on/off ratio was proved by the 20 times variation in molecular charge, 15 times variation in bond lengths, 49 times variation in polarizability, 9 times variation in the rotation angles, and 13 times variation in the highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular orbital gaps under the same gate using B3LYP/6‐31G (d, p). And results imply that conjugated molecules with a cross D–A structure could be a good direction for constructing a better single‐molecule field‐effect transistor. We present an algorithm for constructing the Wilson operator product expansion (OPE) for perturbative interacting quantum field theory in general Lorentzian curved spacetimes, to arbitrary orders in perturbation theory. The remainder in this expansion is shown to go to zero at short distances in the sense of expectation values in arbitrary Hadamard states. We also establish a number of general properties of the OPE coefficients: (a) they only depend (locally and covariantly) upon the spacetime metric and coupling constants, (b) they satisfy an associativity property, (c) they satisfy a renormalization group equation, (d) they satisfy a certain microlocal wave front set condition, (e) they possess a “scaling expansion”. The latter means that each OPE coefficient can be written as a sum of terms, each of which is the product of a curvature polynomial at a spacetime point, times a Lorentz invariant Minkowski distribution in the tangent space of that point. To make sense of quantum field theory in an arbitrary (globally hyperbolic) curved spacetime, the theory must be formulated in a local and covariant manner in terms of locally measurable field observables. Since a generic curved spacetime does not possess symmetries or a unique notion of a vacuum state, the theory also must be formulated in a manner that does not require symmetries or a preferred notion of a “vacuum state” and “particles”. We propose such a formulation of quantum field theory, wherein the operator product expansion (OPE) of the quantum fields is elevated to a fundamental status, and the quantum field theory is viewed as being defined by its OPE. Since the OPE coefficients may be better behaved than any quantities having to do with states, we suggest that it may be possible to perturbatively construct the OPE coefficients—and, thus, the quantum field theory. By contrast, ground/vacuum states—in spacetimes, such as Minkowski spacetime, where they may be defined—cannot vary analytically with the parameters of the theory. We argue that this implies that composite fields may acquire nonvanishing vacuum state expectation values due to nonperturbative effects. We speculate that this could account for the existence of a nonvanishing vacuum expectation value of the stress-energy tensor of a quantum field occurring at a scale much smaller than the natural scales of the theory. In this paper, by using harmonic-oscillator wave functions of different interaction models, i.e. OPE (one-pion-exchange model), OPsE (only pseudoscalar meson exchange model), the extended GBE (Goldstone-boson-exchange model including vector and scalar mesons), and OGE (one-gluon-exchange model), we calculate and compare the strong decays of negative parity N* resonances under 2 GeV. We find that the conventional mixing angles are correct, and GBE and OGE are obviously superior to OPE and OPsE.  相似文献

By continuation of 14 tensor polarizations to the stripping and pick-up poles of the 2H(d,p)3H reaction we have determined ?D values for the deuteron and triton wavefunctions. The new precision value for the deuteron 0.0272 ± 0.004 suggests an increase of the applied strength of the OPE potentials. For the triton a value of 0.051±0.005 was found.  相似文献

We show, within the framework of the massive Euclidean j4{\varphi^4} -quantum field theory in four dimensions, that the Wilson operator product expansion (OPE) is not only an asymptotic expansion at short distances as previously believed, but even converges at arbitrary finite distances. Our proof rests on a detailed estimation of the remainder term in the OPE, of an arbitrary product of composite fields, inserted as usual into a correlation function with further “spectator fields”. The estimates are obtained using a suitably adapted version of the method of renormalization group flow equations. Convergence follows because the remainder is seen to become arbitrarily small as the OPE is carried out to sufficiently high order, i.e. to operators of sufficiently high dimension. Our results hold for arbitrary, but finite, loop orders. As an interesting side-result of our estimates, we can also prove that the “gradient expansion” of the effective action is convergent.  相似文献

The earlier introduced method of calculation of quark distributions in hadrons, based on QCD sum rules, is improved. The imaginary part of the virtual photon forward scattering amplitude on some hadronic current is considered in the case, when initial and final virtualities of the current , and are different, . The operator product expansion (OPE) in , is performed. The sum rule for quark distribution is obtained using double dispersion representation of the amplitude on one side in terms of calculated in QCD OPE and on the other side in terms of physical states contributions. Double Borel transformation in , is applied to the sum rule, killing background non-diagonal transition terms which deteriorated the accuracy in previous calculations. The case of the valence quark distribution in the pion is considered, which was impossible to treat by the previous method. OPE up to dimension 6 operators is performed and leading order perturbative corrections are accounted. Valence u-quark distribution in was found at intermediate x, , and normalization point . We use ALEPH data on hadronic tau decays in order to calculate Euclidean coordinate space correlation functions in the vector and axial-vector channels. The linear combination V-A receives no perturbative contribution and is quantitatively reproduced by the instanton liquid model. In the case of V+A the instanton calculation is in good agreement with the data once perturbative corrections are included. These corrections clearly show the evolution of alpha(s). We also analyze the range of validity of the operator product expansion (OPE). We conclude that the range of validity of the OPE is limited to x less, similar 0.3 fm, whereas the instanton model describes the data over the entire range.  相似文献

The operator product expansion (OPE) for heavy-light-quark pseudoscalar mesons (D -mesons and B -mesons) in medium is determined, both for a moving meson with respect to the surrounding medium as well as for a meson at rest. First of all, the OPE is given in terms of normal-ordered operators up to mass dimension 5, and the mass of the heavy quark and the mass of the light quark are kept finite. The Wilson coefficients of such an expansion are infrared (IR) divergent in the limit of a vanishing light-quark mass. A consistent separation of scales necessitates an OPE in terms of non-normal-ordered operators, which implies operator mixing, where the IR-divergences are absorbed into the operators. It is shown that the Wilson coefficients of such an expansion are IR-stable, and the limit of a vanishing light-quark mass is perfomed. Details of the major steps for the calculation of the Wilson coefficients are presented. By a comparison with previous results obtained by other theoretical groups we have found serious disagreements.  相似文献
