We report a measurement of the Bs(0) lifetime in the semileptonic decay channel Bs(0) --> Ds- mu+ nuX (and its charge conjugate), using approximately 0.4 fb(-1) of data collected with the D0 detector during 2002-2004. Using 5176 reconstructed Ds- mu+ signal events, we have measured the Bs(0) lifetime to be tau(Bs(0))=1.398+/-0.044(stat)(-0.025)(+0.028)(syst) ps. This is the most precise measurement of the Bs(0) lifetime to date. 相似文献

We report a measurement of the Lambda(b)(0) lifetime using a sample corresponding to 1.3 fb(-1) of data collected by the D0 experiment in 2002-2006 during run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The Lambda(b)(0) baryon is reconstructed via the decay Lambda(b)(0)-->micronuLambda(c)(+)X. Using 4437+/-329 signal candidates, we measure the Lambda(b)(0) lifetime to be tau(Lambda(b)(0))=1.290(-0.110)(+0.119)(stat)(-0.091)(+0.087)(syst) ps, which is among the most precise measurements in semileptonic Lambda(b)(0) decays. The results are presented for the charge asymmetry of the Dalitz plot parameters g, h, and k measured for K ± → π ± π 0 π 0 decays. The experiment has been carried out in the 35-GeV/c kaon beams at the IHEP accelerator. The g, h, and k parameters appear to be identical for K + and K ? decays within the experimental uncertainty. In particular, a value of (0.2 ± 1.9) × 10?3 is obtained for the charge asymmetry A g = (g + ? g ?)/(g + + g ?) of the Dalitz plot slope. 相似文献

The decay KS0→πeν has been observed by the CMD-2 detector at the e+e− collider VEPP-2M at Novosibirsk. Of 6 million produced KL0KS0 pairs, 75±13 events of the KS0→πeν decay were selected. The corresponding branching ratio is B(KS0→πeν)=(7.2±1.4)×10−4. This result is consistent with the evaluation of B(KS0→πeν) from the KL0 semileptonic rate and KS0 lifetime assuming ΔS=ΔQ . 相似文献

We present the first precise measurement of the Bs0-Bs0 oscillation frequency Deltams. We use 1 fb-1 of data from pp collisions at sqrts=1.96 TeV collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The sample contains signals of 3600 fully reconstructed hadronic Bs decays and 37,000 partially reconstructed semileptonic Bs decays. We measure the probability as a function of proper decay time that the Bs decays with the same, or opposite, flavor as the flavor at production, and we find a signal consistent with Bs0-Bs0 oscillations. The probability that random fluctuations could produce a comparable signal is 0.2%. Under the hypothesis that the signal is due to Bs0-Bs0 oscillations, we measure Deltams=17.31(-0.18)+0.33(stat)+/-0.07(syst) ps-1 and determine |Vtd/Vts|=0.208(-0.002)+0.001(expt)-0.006(+0.008)(theor). 相似文献

With the first data sample collected by the CLEO-c detector at the psi(3770) resonance we have studied four exclusive semileptonic decays of the D0 meson. Our results include the first observation and absolute branching fraction measurement for D0 --> p-e+ve and improved measurements of the absolute branching fractions for D0 decays to K-e+ve, pi-e+ve, and K*-e+ve. 相似文献

We present a measurement of the B0-Bmacr;(0) mixing parameter Deltam(d) using neutral B meson pairs in a 29.1 fb(-1) data sample collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. We exclusively reconstruct one neutral B meson in the semileptonic B0-->D(*-)l(+)nu decay mode and identify the flavor of the accompanying B meson from its decay products. From the distribution of the time intervals between the two flavor-tagged B meson decay points, we obtain Deltam(d)=(0.494+/-0.012+/-0.015) ps(-1), where the first error is statistical and the second error is systematic. 相似文献

In left-right models the gluonic penguin contribution to b-->ss;s transition is enhanced by m(t)/m(b) due to the presence of (V+A) currents and by large values of loop functions. Together those effects may overcome the suppression due to the small left-right mixing angle xi less, similar 0.013. Two independent new phases in the B-->phiK(S) decay amplitude appearing in a large class of left-right models can modify the time-dependent CP asymmetry in this decay mode by O(1) and explain the recent BABAR and Belle CP asymmetry measurements in this channel. This scenario implies observable deviations from the standard model also in B(s) decays which could be measured at Tevatron and LHC. 相似文献

We present the first measurement of the ratio R Λl defined as R Λl = BR(Λ b → ΛlX)/BR(Λ b → ΛX) where Λ b denotes all weakly decaying b baryons and l represents the average of electrons and muons. Using all hadronic Z0 decay events collected with the OPAL detector near the Z0 resonance, we measure R Λl = (7.0 ± 1.2 ± 0.7)%. We also measure f(b → Λ b) · BR(Λ b → Λ X) = (3.93 ± 0.46 ± 0.37)%, f(b → B) · BR(B → Λ X) = (1.94 ± 0.28 ± 0.24)%, and BR(b → ΛX) = (5.87 ± 0.46 ± 0.48)%. The “partonic” calculation of the charge asymmetry of like-sign lepton pairs coming from \(B_d - \bar B_d \) decays as a result of mixing is reconsidered.
