In the presence of large new physics contributions to loop-induced b-->s transitions, sizable direct CP violation in B-->phiK decays is expected on general grounds. We compute explicitly CP-violating effects using QCD factorization and find that, even in the restricted case in which new physics has the same penguin structure as the standard model, the rate asymmetry can be of the order of 1. We briefly discuss a more general scenario and comment on the inclusion of power-suppressed corrections to factorization.  相似文献

CP violation in B-->J/PsiK* decays is studied using an angular analysis in a data sample of 253 fb(-1) recorded with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider. The flavor separated measurements of the decay amplitudes indicate no evidence for direct CP violation. T-odd CP violation is studied using the asymmetries in triple product correlations, and the results are consistent with the standard model null predictions. The time-dependent angular analysis gives the following values of CP-violating parameters: sin(2phi(1) = 0.24 +/- 0.31 +/- 0.05 and cos(2phi(1)=0.56 +/- 0.79 +/- 0.11.  相似文献

We present a possible supersymmetric solution to the discrepancy between the observed mixing CP asymmetries in B-->phiK(S) and B-->eta(')K(S). We show that, due to the different parity in the final states of these processes, their supersymmetric contributions from the R sector have opposite signs, which naturally leads to S(phiK(S)) not equal Seta(')(K(S)). We also consider the proposed mechanisms to solve the puzzle of the observed large branching ratio of B-->eta'K and their impact on Seta(')(K(S)).  相似文献

In left-right models the gluonic penguin contribution to b-->ss;s transition is enhanced by m(t)/m(b) due to the presence of (V+A) currents and by large values of loop functions. Together those effects may overcome the suppression due to the small left-right mixing angle xi less, similar 0.013. Two independent new phases in the B-->phiK(S) decay amplitude appearing in a large class of left-right models can modify the time-dependent CP asymmetry in this decay mode by O(1) and explain the recent BABAR and Belle CP asymmetry measurements in this channel. This scenario implies observable deviations from the standard model also in B(s) decays which could be measured at Tevatron and LHC.  相似文献

We derive model-independent lower bounds on the CKM parameters (1-rho) and eta as functions of the mixing-induced CP asymmetry S in B-->pi(+)pi(-) and sin(2 beta from B-->psiK(S). The bounds do not depend on specific results of theoretical calculations for the penguin contribution to B-->pi(+)pi(-). They require only the very conservative condition that a hadronic phase, which vanishes in the heavy-quark limit, does not exceed 90 degrees in magnitude. The bounds are effective if -sin(2 beta相似文献

We present measurements of decay amplitudes and triple-product correlations in B-->phiK* decays based on 253 fb(-1) of data recorded at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) storage ring. The decay amplitudes for the three different helicity states are determined from the angular distributions of final-state particles. The longitudinal polarization amplitudes are found to be 0.45 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.02 for B0-->phiK(*0) and 0.52 +/- 0.08 +/- 0.03 for B+ -->phiK(*+) decays. CP- and T-odd CP-violating triple-product asymmetries are measured to be consistent with zero.  相似文献

We present the first measurement of decay amplitudes in B-->phiK* and measurements of branching fractions in B-->phiK(*) decays based on 78.1 fb(-1) of data recorded at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- storage ring. The decay amplitudes for the different phiK*0 helicity states are measured from the angular distributions of final state particles in the transversity basis. The longitudinal and transverse complex amplitudes are |A0|2=0.43+/-0.09+/-0.04, |A(perpendicular)|2=0.41+/-0.10+/-0.04, arg((A(parallel))=-2.57+/-0.39+/-0.09, and arg((A(perpendicular))=0.48+/-0.32+/-0.06. The direct CP-violating asymmetries are found to be consistent with zero.  相似文献

The LHCb collaboration measured CPV at the level of one percent in the difference of asymmetries in $ D^0 (\mathop {D^0 }\limits^ \leftharpoondown ) $ D^0 (\mathop {D^0 }\limits^ \leftharpoondown ) → π+π, K + K decays. If confirmed on a larger statistics and final systematics this would mean New Physics manifestation. The fourth quark-lepton generation can be responsible for the observed effect.  相似文献

We report searches for B-meson decays to the charmless final states rhoK* and f0(980)K* with a sample of 232x10(6) BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e- collider. We measure in units of 10(-6) the following branching fractions, where the first error quoted is statistical and the second systematic, or upper limits are given at the 90% confidence level: B(B+-->rho0K*+)<6.1, B(B+-->rho+K*0)=9.6+/-1.7+/-1.5, B(B0-->rho-K*+)<12.0, B(B0-->rho0K*0)=5.6+/-0.9+/-1.3, B(B+-->f0(980)K*+)=5.2+/-1.2+/-0.5, and B(B0-->f0(980)K*0)<4.3. For the significant modes, we also measure the fraction of longitudinal polarization and the charge asymmetry: fL(B+-->rho+K*0)=0.52+/-0.10+/-0.04, fL(B0-->rho0K*0)=0.57+/-0.09+/-0.08, ACP(B+-->rho+K*0)=-0.01+/-0.16+/-0.02, ACP(B0-->rho0K*0)=0.09+/-0.19+/-0.02, and ACP(B+-->f0(980)K*+)=-0.34+/-0.21+/-0.03.  相似文献

The influence of coherence in a soft parton bremsstrahlung on hadron spectra in jets is discussed. We present a simple functional method for calculation of different inclusive parton distributions in the “plateau” region. Inclusive parton cross sections, spectra, multiplicities, energy and angular correlations, etc. are derived in the Double Logarithmic approximation.  相似文献

Direct CP violation in the b-->sgamma process is a sensitive probe of physics beyond the standard model. We report a measurement of the CP asymmetry in B-->X(s)gamma, where the hadronic recoil system X(s) is reconstructed using a pseudoreconstruction technique. In this approach there is negligible contamination from b-->dgamma decays, which are expected to have a much larger CP asymmetry. We find A(CP)=0.002+/-0.050(stat)+/-0.030(syst) for B-->X(s)gamma events having recoil mass smaller than 2.1 GeV/c(2). The analysis is based on a data sample of 140 fb(-1) recorded at the upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) storage ring.  相似文献
