Dynamical R-matrix relations are derived for the group-valued chiral vertex operators in the SU(n) WZNW model from the KZ equation for a general four-point function including two step operators. They fit the exchange relations of the U q (sl n ) covariant quantum matrix algebra derived previously by solving the dynamical Yang–Baxter equation. As a byproduct, we extend the regular basis introduced earlier for SU(2) chiral fields to SU(n) step operators and display the corresponding triangular matrix representation of the braid group.  相似文献

Cyclic representations of maximal dimension of the quantum algebra U q L associated with any finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra L are studied from its regular representation at q p =1, which is proved to be a quotient module of itself as a left module with respect to some submodules. The general theory is given after an instructive example U q sl(2) is studied. Another explicit example U q sl(3) is also presented. This work is supported in part by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. We show that it is possible to express the basis elements of the Lie algebra of the Euclidean group,E(2), as simple irrational functions of certainq deformed expressions involving the generators of the quantum algebraU q (so(2, 1)). We consider implications of these results for the representation theory of the Lie algebra ofE(2). We briefly discess analogous results forU q (so(2, 2)). Abstract

A (p, q)-analog of two-dimensional conformally invariant field theory based on the quantum algebra Upq (su(1, 1)) is proposed. The representation of the algebra Upq (su(1, 1)) on the space of quasi-primary fields is given. The (p, q)-deformed Ward identities of conformal field theory are defined. The two- and three-point correlation functions of quasi-primary fields are calculated.  相似文献

By generalizing De Concini and Kac's cyclic representation theory of quantum groups at roots of unity, the cyclic representations of the quantum superalgebra U q osp(2, 1) are constructed in three classes: irreducible representations with single multiplicities, irreducible representations with the multiplicities larger than one, and indecomposable representations. This work is supported in part by the National Sciene Foundation in China.  相似文献

The Borel-Weil (BW) construction for unitary irreps of a compact Lie group is extended to a construction of all unitary irreps of the quantum groupU q(n). Thisq-BW construction uses a recursion procedure forU q(n) in which the fiber of the bundle carries an irrep ofU q(n–1)×U q(1) with sections that are holomorphic functions in the homogeneous spaceU q(n)/U q(n–1)×U q(1). Explicit results are obtained for theU q(n) irreps and for the related isomorphism of quantum group algebras.Supported in part by the National Science Foundation, No. PHY-9008007  相似文献

We show that the quantum Heisenberg groupH q (1) and its *-Hopf algebra structure can be obtained by means of contraction from quantumSU q (2) group. Its dual Hopf algebra is the quantum Heisenberg algebraU q (h(1)). We derive left and right regular representations forU q (h(1)) as acting on its dualH q (1). Imposing conditions on the right representation, the left representation is reduced to an irreducible holomorphic representation with an associated quantum coherent state. Realized in the Bargmann-Hilbert space of analytic functions the unitarity of regular representation is also shown. By duality, left and right regular representations for quantum Heisenberg group with the quantum Heisenberg algebra as representation module are also constructed. As before reduction of group left representations leads to finite dimensional irreducible ones for which the intertwinning operator is also investigated.  相似文献

Crystal algebra
We define the crystal algebra, an algebra which has a base of elements of crystal bases of a quantum group. The multiplication is defined by the tensor product rule of crystal bases. A universal n-colored crystal algebra is defined. We study the relation between those algebras and the tensor algebras of the crystal algebra of U q (sl(2)) and give a presentation by generators and relations for the case of U q (sl(n)).  相似文献

Explicit expressions for the generators of the quantum superalgebraU q [gl(n/m)] acting on a class of irreducible representations are given. The class under consideration consists of all essentially typical representations: for these a Gel'fand-Zetlin basis is known. The verification of the quantum superalgebra relations to be satisfied is shown to reduce to a set ofq-number identities.  相似文献

We compute an intrinsic rank invariant for quasitriangular Hopf algebras in the case of general quantum groupsU q (g). As a function ofq the rank has remarkable number theoretic properties connected with modular covariance and Galois theory. A number of examples are treated in detail, including rank (U q (su(3))) and rank (U q (e 8)). We briefly indicate a physical interpretation as relating Chern-Simons theory with the theory of a quantum particle confined to an alcove ofg.  相似文献

Starting from any representation of the Lie algebra on the finite dimensional vector space V we can construct the representation on the space Aut(V). These representations are of the type of ad. That is one of the reasons, why it is important to study the adjoint representation of the Lie algebra on the universal enveloping algebra U(). A similar situation is for the quantum groups Uq(). In this paper, we study the adjoint representation for the simplest quantum algebra Uq(sl(2)) in the case that q is not a root of unity.  相似文献

The modern representation theory has its roots in the classical theory of invariants of binary forms of Caley, Silvester, Clebsch, Gordan, Capelli etc. We use the theory of the quantum group U q(sl(2, IR) in order to develop a quantum theory of invariants. Higher binary forms are introduced on the basis of braided algebras. We define quantised invariants and give basic examples. We show that the symbolic method of Clebsch and Gordan works also in the quantised case. We calculate the quantised discriminant of the quadratic form, the quantised catalecticant of the quartic form and further invariants without a classical analogon.  相似文献

We study the homology groups with coefficient in local systems arising in the free field representation of minimal models of conformal field theory on an elliptic curve with punctures. We define an action of the quantum enveloping algebraU q (sl 2) on a space of relative cycles, extending results obtained previously for the sphere. Absolute cycles are identified with singular vectors. In the case of one puncture, we find that the resulting topological representation is essentially the adjoint representation.  相似文献

It is shown that the quantum supergroup U q (osp(1/2n)) is essentially isomorphic to the quantum group U -q (so(2n+1)) restricted to tensorial representations. This renders it straightforward to classify all the finite-dimensional irreducible representations of U q (osp(1/2n)) at generic q. In particular, it is proved that at generic q, every-dimensional irrep of this quantum supergroup is a deformation of an osp(1/2n) irrep, and all the finite-dimensional representations are completely reducible.  相似文献

A Poisson bracket structure having the commutation relations of the quantum group SL q (2) is quantized by means of the Moyal star-product on C (2), showing that quantum groups are not exactly quantizations, but require a quantization (with another parameter) in the background. The resulting associative algebra is a strongly invariant nonlinear star-product realization of the q-algebra U q (sl(2)). The principle of strong invariance (the requirement that the star-commutator is star-expressed, up to a phase, by the same function as its classical limit) implies essentially the uniqueness of the commutation relations of U q (sl(2)).  相似文献

When the deformation parameter is a root of unity, the centre of a quantum group can be described by a set of generators and non trivial relations. In the case ofU q (sl(N)), these relations simply derive from the expressions of the deformed Casimir operators. In the case ofU q (osp(1|2)), the relation is simple if we use an operator which anticommutes with the fermionic generators and whose square is the quadratic Casimir. This operator also simplifies the classification of finite dimensional irreducible representations. In the case ofU q (sl(1|2)), the relations derive from the (infinite set of) standard Casimir operators.Presented at the 5th International Colloquium on Quantum Groups: Quantum Groups and Integrable Systems, Prague, 20–22 June 1996.  相似文献

Explicit recurrence formulas of canonical realization (boson representation) for quantum enveloping algebrasU q (gl(n, C)) are given. Using them, irreducible highest weight representations ofU q (gl(n, C)) are obtained as restriction of representation of Fock space to invariant subspace generated by vacuum as a cyclic vector.  相似文献

This paper constructs two representations of the quantum groupU q g' by exploiting its quotient structure and the quantum double construction. Here the quantum group is taken as the dual to the quantised algebraU q g, a one parameter deformation of the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra g, as in Drinfel'd [6] and Jimbo [10]. From the two representations, the Hopf structure of the quantised algebraU q g is reexpressed in a matrix format. This is the very structure given by Faddeev et al. [7], in their approach to defining quantum groups and quantised algebras via the quantisation of the function space of the associated Lie group to g.Supported by a SERC studentship  相似文献

We study representations of the mapping class group of the punctured torus on the double of a finite dimensional possibly non-semisimple Hopf algebra that arise in the construction of universal, extended topological field theories. We discuss how for doubles the degeneracy problem of TQFT's is circumvented. We find compact formulae for theS ±1-matrices using the canonical, non-degenerate forms of Hopf algebras and the bicrossed structure of doubles rather than monodromy matrices. A rigorous proof of the modular relations and the computation of the projective phases is supplied using Radford's relations between the canonical forms and the moduli of integrals. We analyze the projectiveSL(2, Z)-action on the center ofU q(sl2) forq anl=2m+1st root of unity. It appears that the 3m+1-dimensional representation decomposes into anm+1-dimensional finite representation and a2m-dimensional, irreducible representation. The latter is the tensor product of the two dimensional, standard representation ofSL(2, Z) and the finite,m-dimensional representation, obtained from the truncated TQFT of the semisimplified representation category ofU q(sl2).  相似文献
