Anion-exchange data have been obtained for the elements As, Hf, Mo, Nb, Pa, Re, Sb, Sn, Ta, Tc, W, and Zr in 0.1 to 10M H2SO4 and in HF–H2SO4 mixtures of combination extending from 0.1 to 10M HF and from 0.1 to 10M H2SO4. The state and kinetic stability of tetrazaporphin (I) in acetic acid and in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) in the presence of H2SO4 were investigated. Partial protonatiqn of I to give I-AcOH2 associates occurs in acetic acid. The kinetic parameters of the reaction involving the destruction of tetrazaporphin in the presence of H2SO4 in acetic acid and DMSO solutions were determined. We have experimentally investigated the water and sulfuric acid-rich regions of the H2SO4/(NH4)2SO4/H2O ternary liquid/solid phase diagram using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and infrared spectroscopy of thin films. We present the liquid/solid ternary phase diagram for temperatures below 373 K and H2SO4 concentrations below 60 wt %. We have determined two ternary eutectics and two tributary reaction points for this system in the regions studied. It is also seen that sulfuric acid tetrahydrate (SAT) forms as a metastable solid over a large concentration range. Two true binary systems have been identified: ice/letovicite and SAT/ammonium bisulfate. Finally, we have compared our results to the predictions of the aerosol inorganics model and have found significant differences both in the final melting points and in the location of some of the phase boundaries including a significant discrepancy in the invariant points predicted versus those observed.  相似文献

We present experimental results obtained with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) that indicate the small ice particles in low-temperature cirrus clouds are not completely solid but rather coated with an unfrozen H2SO4/H2O overlayer. Our results provide a new look on the formation, development, and microphysical properties of low-temperature cirrus clouds.  相似文献

The extraction of HC1 by the secondary amine (B), known as Amberlite LA-2, dissolved in 1,2-dichloroethane and the aggregation of BHC1 have been studied by using a two-phase potentiometric titration technique. The experimental data, treated by a general minimizing program, indicate dimerization: 2 BHClright harpoon over left harpoon(BHCl)(2). The equilibrium constant of this reaction was calculated. The extraction of ZnCl(2), CdCl(2) and PbCl(2) from 0.2,0.5, 1.0 and 2.0M HCl, and 1MNaCl by Amberlite LA-2 hydrochloride (BHCl), dissolved in 1,2-dichloroethane, has been studied. The complexes (BHCl)(2)ZnCl(2), (BHCl)(2)CdCl(2) and (BHCl)(2)PbCl(2) were found to exist, irrespective of the composition of the aqueous phase. Studies of the extraction kinetics of cerium(IV) from H(2)SO(4)-HF solutions with Cyanex 923 in n-heptane have been carried out using a constant interfacial area cell with laminar flow. The experimental hydrodynamic conditions were chosen so that the contribution of diffusion to the measured rate of reaction was minimized. The data were analyzed in terms of pseudo-first order constants. The results were compared with those of the system without HF. It was concluded that the addition of HF reduces the activation energy for the forward rate from 46.2 to 36.5 kJ mol(-1) while it has an opposite effect on the activation energy for the reverse process(the activation energy increased from 23.3 to 90.8 kJ mol(-1)). Thus, HF can accelerate the rate of cerium(IV) extraction. At the same time, the extraction rate is controlled by a mixed chemical reaction-diffusion rather than by a chemical reaction alone. A rate equation has also been obtained.  相似文献

A rapid and sensitive flow injection online preconcentration method was developed for determination of Cd, Co, Cu, and Zn in natural water samples by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The procedure is based on the retention of analytes in the form of 2,6-dihydroxyphenyl-diazoaminoazobenzene (DHDAA) complexes on a microcolumn packed with XAD-4-DHDAA resin. Cd, Co, Cu, and Zn can be eluted from the microcolumn with 0.5 mol L−1 HCl and pumped directly to the nebulizer-burner system of the flame atomic absorption spectrometer (FAAS). The enrichment factors are 42 (Cd), 33 (Co), 28 (Cu), and 31 (Zn), for a sample volume of 6.0 mL and 1 min preconcentration time relative to direct introduction of aqueous solutions into an atomic absorption spectrometer. The sampling frequency was 30 h−1 with a 1 min loading. The proposed method allowed the determination of Cd, Co, Cu, and Zn with detection limits of 0.1, 0.5, 0.3, and 0.2 μg L−1, respectively. The selectivity of the XAD-4-DHDAA resin for Cd, Co, Cu, and Zn over several electrolytes was also investigated. The method was validated by analysis of a standard reference material (GBW 08301) with the results agreement with those quoted by manufactures. The developed method was applied to the determination of trace Cd, Co, Cu, and Zn in tap water, ground water and river water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Photochemical processes of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and sulfuric acid monohydrate (H2SO4-H2O) following overtone excitation of the OH stretching mode are studied by classical trajectory simulations using the semiempirical PM3 potential suface in "on the fly" calculations. The main results are the following: (1) In the excitation of H2SO4 to the fifth OH-stretch overtone, hopping of the H atom between oxygen atoms is found to take place in 22% of the trajectories, only once during simulations of 400 ps. (2) All the trajectories for H2SO4 show a rapid cis-trans isomerization. (3) The photolysis of H2SO4 into SO3 + H2O takes place in 5% of the trajectories on a time scale of approximately 9 ps. (4) Only low overtone levels of H2SO4-H2O have sufficiently long lifetimes to be spectroscopically relevant. Excitation to these OH stretching overtones is found to result in the dissociation of the cluster. H hopping or dissociation of H2SO4 does not take place.  相似文献

The contact extraction of copper in the form of dispersed powders onto compact zinc from H2SO4-CuSO4 and H2SO4-CuSO4-ZnSO4 solutions was studied.
