This work concerns the extension of a weak form of the Rolle's theorem to locally convex spaces that satisfy an axiom of separation. The result provides a condition for asserting the uniqueness of a solution to nonlinear functional equations, including nonlinear integro-differential equations. We use the extended Rolle's theorem to prove the uniqueness of a solution to a nonlinear, fractional differential equation.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behaviour of non-negative solutions of Yamabe type equations on a complete Riemannian manifold. Then we provide a comparison result, based on a form of the weak maximum principle at infinity, which together with the “a priori” estimates previously obtained, yields uniqueness under very general Ricci assumptions. The paper ends with an existence result and an application to the non-compact Yamabe problem.  相似文献

Existence, uniqueness and periodic solutions for the elliptic–hyperbolic system of piezoelectric elastic bodies are studied. In the stationary case the proof of existence and uniqueness is based on the Lax–Milgram lemma defining a suitable bilinear form to take into account the lack of global ellipticity. The linear initial-boundary value problem is dealt with using the theory of semigroup. Certain similarities with the wave equation are also discussed. A related problem that is non-linear for the presence of a damping term is also treated, and a result of existence and uniqueness proved using the Galerkin method. We study an evolution problem which describes the dynamic contact of an elastic-visco-plastic body with a foundation. We model the contact with normal damped response and a local friction law. A damage of the material caused by elastic deformation is taken into account, its evolution is described by an inclusion of parabolic type. We derive variational formulation for the model which is in the form of a system involving the displacement field, the stress field and the damage field. We prove the existence and uniqueness result of the weak solution. The proof is based on arguments of evolution equations with monotone operators, a classical existence and uniqueness result on parabolic inequalities and fixed point.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equation of zerosum differential games with discontinuous running cost. For such class of equations, the uniqueness of the solutions is not guaranteed in general. We prove principles of optimality for viscosity solutions where one of the players can play either causal strategies or only a subset of continuous strategies. This allows us to obtain nonstandard representation formulas for the minimal and maximal viscosity solutions and prove that a weak form of the existence of value is always satisfied. We state also an explicit uniqueness result for the HJI equations for piecewise continuous coefficients, in which case the usual statement on the existence of value holds.  相似文献

The aims of this paper are to discuss global existence and uniqueness of strong solution for a class of isentropic compressible navier-Stokes equations with non-Newtonian in one-dimensional bounded intervals. We prove two global existence results on strong solutions of isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The first result shows only the existence. We prove a result of existence and uniqueness of solutions to forward–backward stochastic differential equations, with non-degeneracy of the diffusion matrix and boundedness of the coefficients as functions of x as main assumptions.This result is proved in two steps. The first part studies the problem of existence and uniqueness over a small enough time duration, whereas the second one explains, by using the connection with quasi-linear parabolic system of PDEs, how we can deduce, from this local result, the existence and uniqueness of a solution over an arbitrarily prescribed time duration. Improving this method, we obtain a result of existence and uniqueness of classical solutions to non-degenerate quasi-linear parabolic systems of PDEs.This approach relaxes the regularity assumptions required on the coefficients by the Four-Step scheme.  相似文献

In this paper the persistence of bounded solutions to degenerate evolution equations of Sobolev-Galpern type is discussed. In order to define the evolution operator well, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to its linear form. On this basis we discuss exponential dichotomies of the evolution operator and give the Fredholm alternative result for bounded solutions of nonhomogeneous linear degenerate equations. This result enables us to give a condition for the persistence of bounded solutions of a general degenerate nonlinear autonomous equation under a nonautonomous perturbation.  相似文献

A Lie superalgebra endowed with a non-degenerate super-symmetric and invariant bilinear form is called a quadratic Lie superalgebra. ln this paper, we consider the decomposition of a Lie superalgebra and the first main result is that the decomposition of a Lie superalgebra into indecomposable graded ideals is unique up to an isomorphism. We prove that the BMO norm of the velocity and the vorticity controls the blow-up phenomena of smooth solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations. We exhibit simple sufficient conditions which give weak-strong uniqueness for the 3D Navier-Stokes equations. The main tools are trilinear estimates and energy inequalities. We then apply our result to the framework of Lorentz, Morrey and Besov over Morrey spaces so as to get new weak-strong uniqueness classes and so uniqueness classes for solutions in the Leray-Hopf class. In the last section, we give a uniqueness and regularity result. We obtain new uniqueness classes for solutions in the Leray-Hopf class without energy inequalities but sufficiently regular.  相似文献

The boundary control problem of an elastic thin plate with boundary viscoelasticity is formulated in the standard form of a linear infinite-dimensional systems in the energy Hilbert space. The feedback control is designed so that the input and output are collocated. The frequency-domain approach is adopted in investigating the exponential stability of the closed-loop system. Finally, by considering the boundary viscoelasticity as damping, we establish a strong stability result based on the LaSalle invariance principle and the Hömander uniqueness theorem.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the uniformly strong convergence of the Kähler-Ricci flow on a Fano manifold with varied initial metrics and smoothly deformed complex structures. As an application, we prove the uniqueness of Kähler-Ricci solitons in the sense of diffeomorphism orbits. The result generalizes Tian-Zhu’s theorem for the uniqueness of of Kähler-Ricci solitons on a compact complex manifold, and it is also a generalization of Chen-Sun’s result of the uniqueness of Kähler-Einstein metric orbits.

We consider a semilinear integrodifferential system in non-normal form. Such a system is a generalization of the one that arises in the phase-field theory with memory. We prove an abstract existence and uniqueness theorem and a continuous dependence result for the direct problem. Reformulating the direct problem in a suitable way we prove that the identification problem admits a unique solution.  相似文献
