Sample preparation procedures which included the use of new aminopropyl (NH2) and octadecyl (C18) solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents are proposed for the simultaneous multiclass determination of the fungicide benomyl and of the herbicides tebuthiuron, diuron, simazine, atrazine, and ametryn in grapes, using single wavelength high-performance liquid chromatography. Sorbent preparation uses a fast, easy, and effective procedure to obtain silica-based materials, made by depositing polysiloxanes on a silica support followed by thermal immobilization. Recovery results of the compounds, after elution from the SPE cartridges, indicate that the most efficient system employed silica loaded with 40% of an aminofunctional polydimethylsiloxane as sorbent, using dichloromethane:methanol (95:5, v/v) as eluent. Method validation, carried out in agreement with International Conference on Harmonization directives, was performed at three fortification levels (100, 200, and 1000 microg kg(-1)). Limits of detection and quantification show that the method developed can be used to detect the pesticides at concentrations below the maximum residue levels established by Codex Alimentarius, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the European Union, and Brazilian legislation.  相似文献

A laboratory-made sorbent for solid-phase extraction (SPE) was obtained by thermal immobilization of poly(methyloctylsiloxane) (PMOS) onto silica. Cartridges packed with the new sorbent were used for the simultaneous determination of imazethapyr, nicosulfuron, diuron, linuron and chlorimuron-ethyl in water. These pesticides were separated and quantified using high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). The recoveries achieved with the laboratory-made PMOS cartridges were compared with those of some commercially available silica-based and polymer-based cartridges having C18, C8 and NH(2) pendant groups. Method validation using the laboratory-made sorbent was performed for the five pesticides at three fortifications levels (1x, 2x and 10x the limit of quantification of each pesticide). The laboratory-made PMOS cartridge has low cost preparation and showed good recoveries (72-111%) for all pesticides. Repeatability and intermediate precision were lower than 15%. Its performance was similar or even better, in some cases, than those of the commercial cartridges.  相似文献

A new material based on poly(methyltetradecylsiloxane) (PMTDS) thermally immobilized onto a silica support has been tested as a sorbent for the solid-phase extraction (SPE) from water of several pesticides used in soybean cultivation. The SPE methodology was developed and validated for six of these pesticides (imazethapyr, imazaquin, metsulfuron-methyl, bentazone, chlorimuron-ethyl and tebuconazole) according to the International Conference on Harmonization directives and the results were compared with those obtained with a commercial C18 SPE cartridge. The PMTDS-based sorbent gives results similar to the commercial sorbent with recoveries and precisions in agreement with directives for residue analysis. The quantification limits, after concentration, of all the pesticides evaluated were 1.0 μg L−1, below the levels imposed by the principal regulatory agencies. The PMTDS-based sorbent preparation is fast, easy and reproducible and the cartridges are less expensive than similar commercial SPE materials.  相似文献

A multiresidue method for screening of emerging contaminants in aquatic environments was developed. The method was based on sample pretreatment with solid phase extraction (SPE) and analysis with an ultra performance liquid chromatograph-time-of-flight mass spectrometer (UPLC-TOF-MS). The method was optimized and tested with standard solutions of model compounds containing 84 pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Four different SPE sorbents were evaluated to gain maximum recovery for the analytes. For the final procedure a combination of two different sorbents was chosen. In spite of high matrix suppression, the method quantification limits (MQLs) were acceptable. Therefore, the method can be used for screening known target compounds. The applicability of the method for posttarget and nontarget screening will be reported later. To preliminarily assess the quantitative performance of the method, some compounds in wastewater effluent were quantified using the standard addition method. Three pesticides and eight pharmaceuticals were found in concentrations up to ~2200 ng/L.  相似文献

The feasibility of gas chromatography-negative chemical ionization-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (GC-NCI-MS-MS), as a routine multiresidue method for simultaneous analysis of 82 pesticides in fruits and vegetables, was investigated. The precursor ions, product ions and collision energy were selected using experiments, and 164 different multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions were monitored simultaneously in one run. Prior to GC-NCI-MS-MS analysis, co-extractives were removed from the concentrated acetonitrile extracts by using dispersive solid phase extraction with octadecyl (350 mg) and primary secondary amine (100 mg) sorbents. Large volume injection (10 µL) combined with a temperature-programmed vaporizer (PTV) system of gas chromatography was used to improve the sensitivity of analytes. To evaluate performance of this method, validation experiments were carried out on cabbage and apples at two spiking levels (10 and 20 ??g kg?1). The average recoveries ranged between 58.7 and 124.4% with intra-day relative standard deviations (RSD) between 3.9 and 15.9%. The limits of detection (LOD), limits of confirmation (LOC) and limits of quantification (LOQ) of all pesticides were below its maximum residue levels (MRLs). The proposed method was successfully applied in the analysis of fruits and vegetables.  相似文献

In this detailed analytical study, we have evaluated in-house synthesised polymeric solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents in the form of monodisperse, hypercrosslinked polymer microspheres with diameters in the low micrometre range (approximately 4 microm). More specifically, their performance in the on-line SPE of a group of polar pollutants has been investigated thoroughly. The novel hypercrosslinked materials were compared with satisfactory results to commercial SPE sorbents with similar chemical and morphological properties, albeit that the commercial materials had higher particle sizes and broader particle size distributions. The on-line SPE method developed using these novel particles as packing material was applied successfully to ultrapure, mineral, tap and Ebre river water samples, with near total recoveries of all the analytes studied when 500 ml samples were percolated through the sorbents. Method validation with river water samples demonstrated good linearity, low detection limits as well as satisfactory precision in terms of repeatability and reproducibility, with values of relative standard deviation (%RSD) lower than 6.7 and 8.7%, respectively.  相似文献

Graphitized carbons for solid-phase extraction   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The objective of this review is to provide updated information about the most important features of graphitized carbonaceous sorbents used for solid-phase extraction (SPE) of organic compounds from liquid natural matrices or extracts. The surface characteristics of graphitized carbon blacks and porous graphitic carbons are described which are responsible for the various types interactions (hydrophobic, electronic and ion-exchange) with analytes. The method development is given which is based on the prediction from liquid chromatographic retention data obtained using porous graphitic carbon. Emphasis is placed on their capability for trapping very polar and water-soluble analytes from aqueous samples. Comparison is made between carbon-based SPE sorbents and other reversed-phase materials such as octadecyl silicas and highly cross-linked copolymers. Especially, the difficulty encountered for the desorption of some strongly retained analytes is explained by LC data and solutions are given for optimizing the composition and volume of the desorption solution. Many examples illustrate the various common features of graphitized carbons which are the extraction of very polar analytes and multiresidue extractions. Some applications are specific to graphitized carbon black due to the presence of surface functional groups. They include the extraction of anionic compounds such as benzene and naphthalene sulfonates or acidic pesticides. Other applications are specific to porous graphitic carbon due to its flat and homogeneous surface. One example is the trace extraction of coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans from other PCB congeners.  相似文献

Rice crop is mainly cultivated in large river basins which constitute unique ecosystems and their ecological quality is invaluable. However, the high loads of pesticides used in rice cultivation contribute to the contamination of the water resources in such rice-cultivated regions. To regularly monitor the quality of such water resources there is a need for a rapid and sensitive multi-residue analytical method. This study presents the development and validation of a new analytical method for the simultaneous determination of most rice pesticides including penoxsulam, tricyclazole, propanil and its main metabolite 3,4-dichloroaniline, azoxystrobin, molinate, profoxydim and deltamethrin. A solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedure followed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detection (DAD) was used. A C18 RP column operated at 30°C was utilised and the analytes were separated with a mobile phase of acetonitrile/water mixture in a linear gradient. Clean-up of water samples and isolation of pesticides was performed on SPE Bakerbond octadecyl cartridges and an ethyl acetate-dichlomethane mixture (9?:?1 v/v, 2?mL) was used for elution. Method validation was performed by means of intra-day (n?=?5) and inter-day accuracy and precision (n?=?8), sensitivity and linearity. The relative recoveries of the pesticides in paddy water samples were acceptable (80.6–110.2%) and the relative standard deviation (RSD%) ranged from 1.9 to 7.6%. Limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantification (LOQ) varied from 0.1 to 0.8?ng?mL?1 and 0.25 to 2.0?ng?mL?1 respectively, depending on the analyte. The method was subsequently applied for the determination of pesticide residues in paddy and canal water samples. Tricyclazole was the most frequently detected pesticide at the highest concentrations, while herbicides were less frequently detected and at lower concentrations. The method described could be a valuable tool for regular monitoring of surface water systems in rice-cultivated basins.  相似文献

A multiresidue method is developed for the screening, quantification and confirmation of 43 pesticides, belonging to different chemical families of insecticides, acaricides, fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators, and 9 pesticide metabolites in four fruit and vegetable matrices. Pesticide residues are extracted from the samples with MeOH:H2O (80:20, v/v) 0.1% HCOOH, and then a cleanup step using OASIS HLB SPE cartridges is applied. The SPE eluate is concentrated and the final volume adjusted to 1 mL with MeOH:H2O (10:90, v/v) before injection into LC-MS/MS. Analyses are performed using electrospray ionization (ESI) and triple quadrupole (QqQ) analyzer. The method has been validated based on the SANCO European Guidelines for representative samples that were chosen to study the influence of different matrices: high water content (tomato), high acidic content (lemon), high sugar content (raisin) and high lipidic content (avocado). Special attention has been given to minimize the degradation of some pesticides into their metabolites and the losses observed in the evaporation step. Under the optimized conditions, the recoveries were, with a few exceptions, in the range 70-110% with satisfactory precision (CV < or = 15%). The quantification of analytes was carried out using the most sensitive transition for every compound and by "matrix-matched" standards calibration. The method can be used for the accurate determination of 52 pesticides and metabolites in one single determination step at the 0.01 mg/kg level. Confirmation of residues detected in samples is performed by an independent injection into the LC-MS/MS system by acquiring additional MS/MS transitions to that used for quantification. The acquisition of the highest number of available transitions is suggested for unequivocal confirmation of the analyte.  相似文献

A multiresidue analytical method based on acetone extraction and clean-up/pre-concentration on polymeric sorbents was validated for 42 pesticides in peach matrix in order to control safety of fresh production on the Bulgarian market. Matrix-matched calibration was used by addition of pesticides just before SPE. In this way the standards and the samples undergo exactly the same procedure and an improvement of recoveries for the target analytes was observed. The identification and quantification were done by gas chromatographic technique with mass-spectrometric detection (GC-MS). The limits of detection obtained were 0.005?mg?kg–1 or lower for the most of analytes, and the recovery data were in range 73–109% at three spiked levels 0.01, 0.1 and 0.2?mg?kg?1. The validated method was used for monitoring of selected pesticides in fresh peach fruits home production. Approximately 30% of the analysed lots (total 33 samples) contained residues mainly of cypermethrin and procymidone, but did not exceed EU MRLs.  相似文献

A multiresidue analysis method has been developed for the determination of pesticides in water by ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) combined with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS). The selected pesticides represent a broad range of polarity and volatility [benzoylcyclohexanedione (mesotrione and sulcotrione); chloroacetamide (acetochlor, alachlor, dimethenamide, and metolachlor); phenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D and MCPA); phenoxypropionic (dichloprop and mecoprop); phenylurea (chlortoluron, diuron, isoproturon, linuron, and metoxuron); sulfonylurea (foramsulfuron, iodosulfuron, and nicolsulfuron); triazine (atrazine, cyanazine, desethylatrazine (DEA), desisopropylatrazine (DIA), simazine, and terbutylazine)]. The analytes were extracted using solid-phase extraction (SPE). The separation was carried out on an acquity UPLC BEH C18 column (1.7 microm, 50 mm x 1 mm ID) using a gradient elution profile and mobile phase consisting of 0.1% formic acid in water and acetonitrile. The pesticides were detected with a tandem mass spectrometer after being ionised positively or negatively (depending on the molecule) using an electrospray ionisation (ESI) source. To achieve the suitable extraction conditions for sample preparation, several parameters affecting the efficiency of SPE such as the nature of the sorbent and the eluent, extractant volume and pH were studied. The best recovery was obtained by the extraction with an Oasis HLB cartridge and 3 mL of a solution of acetonitrile/dichloromethane (1:1, v/v) at pH 2. The average recoveries of the pesticides in different samples ranged from 82 to 109%. The weight least squares (WLS) linear regression was used to calculate the limits of detection and quantification (LOD and LOQ) because the dispersion was heteroskedastic. All the pesticides could be correctly quantified at a concentration level of 50 ng L(-1) and most of them could be detected at a concentration inferior or equal to 8 ng L(-1). Efficiency and robustness of this method were evaluated by the analysis of several samples of real natural water.  相似文献

Due to the wide range of pesticides that can be used in agriculture, the development of fast multiresidue methods that simultaneously determine polar and non-polar pesticides is greatly demanded. This study shows the development and validation of a multiresidue method for the analysis of 98 non-polar pesticides and 28 polar pesticides in soil. A simultaneous extraction step by pressurized liquid extraction was utilized. The optimum results were obtained using ethyl acetate-methanol (3:1, v/v) with 2 min of preheat time and 85 degrees C as the extraction temperature. The final determination of non-polar pesticides was performed by GC, whereas polar pesticides were determined by ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). Both GC and UPLC were coupled to triple-quadrupole analyzers operating in tandem MS. The optimized extraction procedure was validated. The average extraction recoveries were in the range 72-108% (10 microg/kg) and 71-106% (50 microg/kg), with RSD values < or = 26%. The matrix effect was also evaluated, and matrix-matched standard calibration was finally applied for quantification. The suitability of the method was also checked by the analysis of a certified reference material. Furthermore, 26 real soil samples were analyzed by the proposed methods in order to assess their applicability. Several pesticides (e.g., bifenthrin, triadimefon, or endosulfan) were found in the samples.  相似文献

Solid phase extraction (SPE) and UV spectrophotometry is used for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soils. A combination of aminopropyl and octadecyl bonded silica in a double SPE cartridge system has been optimized and validated using a certified reference material. The quantification is carried out after a principal component regression. The calibration has been done on a set of 40 samples of contaminated soils and has been optimized by using cross-validation. The 3σ detection limit was found to be 4.5 mg kg−1.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate an application of 2-D high-performance planar chromatography-diode array detector (DAD) and HPLC-DAD after solid-phase extraction (SPE) for identification and quantitative analysis of pesticides (isoproturon, aziprotryne, hexazinone, flufenoxuron, methabenzthiazuron, procymidone, and α-cypermethrin) in Melissa officinalis L. (Labiatae) samples. The procedure described for the determination of compounds is inexpensive and can be applied to routine analysis of analytes in medical herbs' samples after preliminary cleanup and concentration by SPE. Average recoveries on C18 SPE cartridges of pesticides eluted with 5 mL tetrahydrofuran by the proposed HPLC-DAD method, before and after 2-D-high-performance planar chromatography separation of analytes from M. officinalis L. samples spiked with pesticide at a concentration level of 10 μg/g in plant material are presented. Method validation parameters for the quantification of pesticides by the proposed HPLC-DAD after SPE method are also presented.  相似文献

A rapid, specific and sensitive multiresidue method based on the Quick Easy Cheap Effective Rugged and Safe (QuEChERS) sample preparation method and gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection by selected ion monitoring (GC/MS-SIM) has been developed for the routine analysis of 109 pesticides in rice. The method uses one quantification ion and two identification ions. Temperature control during sample preparation helps improve the recovery of thermally labile pesticides such as captan. The method was validated by the analysis of samples spiked at 0.025-0.150 mg/kg in rice matrix. The recoveries of all pesticides were between 80% and 115% with a relative standard deviation of less than 15%. The limit of quantitation (LOQ) for most compounds met the maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pesticides in rice in Korea.  相似文献

A comparative study of two analytical methodologies for piroxicam quantitation in plasma by off-line and on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is described. The SPE cartridges contained C8 for both extraction methods. The analytes piroxicam and tenoxican (internal standard) were separated on a C18 column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile:20 mM phosphate buffer pH 3.1 (50:50, v/v) followed by UV detection at 360 nm. The validation of the methods demonstrated good recoveries (over 90%), sensitivity (limits of quantification of 0.05 microgram/ml with on-line SPE and 0.1 microgram/ml with off-line SPE, based on a 100 microliters and 200 microliters sample volume, respectively), accuracy and precision (better than 9.5%). Both methodologies have been used for bioequivalence studies.  相似文献

A procedure based on solid-phase extraction (SPE) followed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detection has been developed for the simultaneous analysis of 16 widely used pesticides in groundwater samples. The compounds analysed were: aldicarb, atrazine, desethylatrazine, desysopropylatrazine, carbofuran, 2,4-D, dicloran, fenitrothion, iprodione, linuron, metalaxyl, metazachlor, phenmedipham, procymidone, simazine and vinclozolin. Five different SPE sorbents, C18 bonded silica (Isolute SPE C18 (EC)), graphitised carbon black (Superclean Envi-Carb), highly cross-linked polystyrene-divinylbenzene (Lichrolut EN), divinylbenzene-N-vinylpyrrolidone (Oasis HLB) and surface modified styrene-divinylbenzene (Strata X), were compared. HPLC separation and quantification of the selected pesticides was carried out under isocratic conditions by means of a new reversed-phase column (Gemini from Phenomenex) based on C18 bonded to organic-silica particles. Oasis HLB and Strata X provided the best results in the preconcentration of 1-l samples, yielding average recoveries higher than 70%, except for phenmedipham that rapidly degrades in groundwater. Detection limits of the target pesticides provided by the proposed SPE-HPLC procedure were between 0.003 and 0.04 μg l−1.  相似文献

An optimized multiresidue analysis method based on matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) and gas chromatography (GC) is proposed for the determination of organochlorines and pyrethroids in the tea samples. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimize the extraction conditions of MSPD, such as the sorbent type, eluent composition, dichloromethane concentration and eluting volume. Desirability function approach was employed to optimize the pesticide recoveries and matrix cleanup. Compromising the recoveries and cleanup degree, MSPD was carried out with Florisil as the sorbent and n-hexane-dichloromethane (1:1, v/v) as the eluent. The pesticide recoveries in tea samples were better than 80% spiked in the concentration range of 0.01-0.05mg/kg and the relative standard deviations were lower than 7%. The quantification limits of the pesticides were in the range of 0.002-0.06mg/kg, which were lower than the maximum residue limits of the pesticides in tea samples established by the European Union.  相似文献
