10 Gb/s全光3R再生的研究   总被引:6,自引:3,他引:3  
报道了对10Gb/s恶化数据信号的全光3R(再放大、再定时、再整形)再生的实验研究。针对利用基于半导体光放大器的注入锁模环形激光器进行时钟恢复时的码型效应问题,提出了利用梳状滤波器对信号进行预处理。利用这个技术极大的减小了由于码型效应造成的时钟信号的幅度和时间抖动,从恶化的数据信号中恢复出无码型效应的高质量光时钟脉冲。信号整形的关键是光判决门,性能良好的判决门可以进一步提高信号的消光比、减小抖动。研究了基于电吸收调制器的信号再整形。利用上述器件构成的3R再生器,实现了10Gb/s恶化信号的全光3R再生。  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate all-optical clock recovery (OR) from nonreturn-to-zero differential phase-shift- keying (NRZ-DPSK) signals at different bit rates theoretically and experimentally. By pre-processing with a single optical filter, clock component can be enhanced significantly and thus clock signal can be extracted from the preprocessed signals, by cascading a OR unit with a semiconductor optical amplifier based fibre ring laser. Compared with the previous preprocessing schemes, the single filter is simple and suitable for different bit rates. The clock signals can be achieved with extinction ratio over lOdB and rms timing jitter of 0.86 and 0.9 at 10 and 20 Gb/s, respectively. The output performances related to the bandwidth and the detuning of the filter are analysed. By simply using a filter with larger bandwidth, much higher operation can be achieved easily.  相似文献

时钟信号的好坏在同步、解复用和光判决中起着决定性的作用,双折射光纤环镜具有灵活可调的滤波特性,光时钟信号通过双折射环形镜可以使其消光比得到改善,从而提高时钟信号的质量。为此提出了利用高双折射光纤环形镜提高光时钟信号消光比的方案,数值上模拟了环形镜透射谱随双折射器件偏振延时量(Δt)、偏振控制器快慢轴角度以及偏振控制器所引入光程差的变化而变化的情况,并理论分析了消光比不理想的时钟信号经过环形镜后的光谱形式。用法布里-珀罗滤波器提取的40 GHz时钟信号进行实验,时钟经过环形镜后消光比改善了13 dB,实验结果和理论模拟得到了很好的匹配。  相似文献

A novel scheme of all-optical clock recovery from mutiwavelength non-return-to-zero (NRZ) data stream is proposed and demonstrated. The chirp induced by a chirped fibre Bragg grating and a semiconductor optical amplifier is used to enhance the clock. The clock is recovered after injecting the enhanced signal into the scheme based on the stimulated Brillouin scattering. The experiment is carried out and the dual-wavelength clock is recovered. This novel scheme can realize clock recovery of multiwavelength NRZ signal in the total wavelength range of 3.3nm. This clock recovery technology is transparent to the data bit rate and modulation format, also without pattern dependence.  相似文献

In this paper, a general analysis for non-linear micro-ring resonator as all optical switch is discussed in a vertically coupled GaAs–AlGaAs micro-ring resonator by carrier injection. The ring resonator is optically pumped, which results in temporal shift of resonant wavelength by refractive index change due to carrier injection. A green laser as optical pump beam is used to shift resonant wavelength 1.5 nm of the ring resonator. Simulation, analysis and overall transfer function of single ring as well as cascaded micro-ring resonator (MRR) is studied. A single circuit, consisting of three MRRs, capable to perform all the two input sixteen logic operations is studied and reported. The same circuit can also act as half adder/subtractor and single bit data comparator.  相似文献

Optical performance monitoring using asynchronous optical or electrical sampling has gained considerable attention. Relative clock wander between data signal and sampling source is a typical occurrence in such systems. A method for the quantitative monitoring of the relative clock wander in asynchronous optical undersampling system is presented. With a series of simulations, the clock wanders recovered using this method are in good agreement with the preset clock wanders of different amounts and frequencies for both RZ and NRZ signals. Hence, the reliability and robustness of the method are proven.  相似文献

We investigate the pattern dependency of the 40-Gb/s optical duobinary signals generated by a 10-Gb/s-rated Mach-Zehnder modulator with four different configurations. These configurations correspond to all possible combinations of a 15-GHz-bandwidth low-pass filter and a 0.24-nm bandwidth optical filter used to shape up the duobinary signals. We compare through experiment the back-to-back sensitivities and transmission performances of the duobinary signals for pseudorandom bit sequence lengths of 27-1 and 231-1. The results show that the combination of the 10-Gb/s-rated modulator and the 0.24-nm optical filter exhibits the best performance in terms of both the receiver sensitivity and pattern dependency owing to the good frequency response of the optical filter.  相似文献

We investigate a new parallel all-optical clock recovery scheme based on heterodyne beats of an optical sideband-filtered signal. The oscillating clock signal is recovered when the filtered sideband is combined with a stable local oscillator. The filtering is performed with an optical resonator, which by nature provides possibility for multiwavelength operation. The local oscillator could be realized by a multiwavelength laser, whose emission wavelengths are injection seeded with carrier wavelengths of the input data. The output signal of such a configuration benefits from a reduced bit-pattern effect and a stable offset level. The sideband filtering is demonstrated for 23 simultaneous channels at 100 GHz DWDM grid, each hosting a data stream of 10 Gbit/s.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a directed optical logic circuit that performs the encoding function from a 4 bit electrical signal to a 2 bit optical signal based on cascaded microring switches. The four logic input signals control the states of the switches, while the two logic outputs are given by the optical power at the output waveguides. For proof of concept, a thermo-optic switching effect is used with an operation speed of 10 kbps.  相似文献

We demonstrate a simple passive technique, using phase shifted fibre Bragg gratings, for extraction of optical clock signals from RZ optical data signals . We study the dependence on fiber birefringence of the bit-error rate (BER) caused by amplifier noise in a linear optical fiber telecommunication system. We show that the probability-distribution function of the BER obtained by averaging over many realizations of birefringent disorder has an extended tail that corresponds to anomalously large values of BER. We specifically discuss the dependence of the tail on such details of pulse detection at the fiber output as setting the clock and filtering procedures.  相似文献

提出了一种基于单光子脉冲时间随机性的光量子随机源。利用衰减成单光子态的光强恒定光源和一个单光子探测器产生单光子随机脉冲,通过连续比较单光子随机脉冲序列中相邻两个脉冲的时间间隔来提取随机位。通过设计高速响应的微通道板单光子探测器和基于现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)的随机位提取电路,获得了超过10Mbit/s的随机位产生速率。通过采用恒比定时和对计数时钟倍频的方法提高时间间隔的测量精度,从而减小随机位序列的相关系数。当光量子随机源的随机位产生速率在10kbit/s以下时,所获得的二进制随机位序列的相关系数小于0.001。运用随机性测试程序ENT和DIEHARD对所获的随机位序列进行测试,测试结果表明序列的随机性非常好且不需要后续处理,完全满足真随机数的标准。  相似文献

A new but simply implemented optical clock recovery scheme for optical time-division multiplexing (OTDM) systems based on stimulated BriUouin scattering (SBS) effect is presented and demonstrated experimentally. According to the unequal-amplitude even-multiplexed OTDM signals, the frame clock is extracted. In addition, the clock with multiple tributary rates is recovered from 160-Gb/s OTDM signal in simulation by utilizing the clock recovery module.  相似文献

We have developed a new optical storage system that uses minute spheres arranged upon a surface-relief grating. By using dye-doped minute spheres as recording bits we can limit a sensitive region within a sphere's diameter. Using a reflection-type confocal optical system, we read out shape signals from minute spheres at high resolution. The shape signals from minute spheres are utilized as clock signals in recording and readout.  相似文献

随着系统电路工作频率的不断越高,在应用中对系统互连和电路间的时钟提出了更高的要求。针对在某信号处理系统的设计中,在测试中偶尔出现SRIO链路异常问题,对高速时钟的参数进行了深入分析,发现了时钟信号受到热噪声的影响引起时钟抖动,会导致SRIO链路断开。提出了增加时钟信号的过渡斜率的优化方案,改善了时钟信号的品质,试验证明系统工作稳定可靠,达到了预期效果。  相似文献

All-optical clock recovery (CR) from 20 Gbit/s nonreturn-to-zero differential phase-shift-keying (NRZ-DPSK) signals are demonstrated experimentally by using a polarization-maintaining fiber loop mirror filter (PMF-LMF) and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) fiber ring laser. Only by adjusting polarization controller (PC), NRZ-DPSK signals were conveniently and fast converted to pseudo return-to-zero (PRZ) signal via PMF-LMF. Then the PRZ signals are injected into the SOA fiber laser for CR. The recovered clock signals is with the extinction ratio (ER) of 10 dB and the root-mean-square (RMS) timing jitter of 750 fs in 231 − 1 long pseudorandom binary sequence (PRBS) NRZ-DPSK signals measurement. Moreover, the broad wavelength tunability of recovered clock stemmed from the use of SOAs as modulator and the gain medium are shown too.  相似文献

We propose a new scheme for generating radially polarized light by mimicking optical activity using linear birefringence. It involves a birefringent spirally varying retarder sandwiched between two orthogonally oriented quarter-wave plates. Using Poincaré sphere representation, we show that the polarization transformation of such a scheme is equivalent to that of a spirally varying optical activity and is capable of generating radially polarized light. We demonstrate the proof-of-concept using y-cut crystalline quartz.  相似文献

In this article we show how optical technology can allow the design of new optical devices that are able to perform some network functions in order to treat very high bit rate signals (100 Gbit/s). The multiplexing technique that we take into account is the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), and the network functions we consider are multiplexing, demultiplexing, synchronization, packet decoding, routing, and resolution of packet contention.

In order to show how these new optical devices can improve the network performance we propose two different network topologies: the first concerns a TDMA star network where the signal information is simultaneously broadcast to all users, while the second is a multihop network. The former is useful mainly for circuit switching, while the latter is suitable for packet switching.

Soliton propagation is used in order to avoid the problem of fiber chromatic dispersion.  相似文献

We show that optical signal propagation in a coupled resonator optical waveguide (CROW) does not introduce additional performance penalties with respect to propagation in a conventional optical waveguide. The result is demonstrated in a low-loss (1 dB) eight-ring silicon CROW by means of bit error rate measurements performed over the whole telecommunication C-band. An extensive characterization of the CROW parameters in terms of insertion loss, bandwidth, in-band intensity ripple, crosstalk, and sensitivity to thermal drifts is presented.  相似文献
