Proposed on-axis current channeling through the use of photoactive layer(s) in vertical-cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) cavities counteracts hole burning and allows single mode operation at high currents. The photoactive layers act as variable resistivity screens whose radial 'aperture' is controlled by the light itself, providing an efficient feedback for mode control. Absorption of a small fraction of the light intensity suffices for significant on-axis current peaking with minimum efficiency loss and optical mode distortion. Fabrication is implemented during the molecular beam epitaxy phase without wafer post-processing, as for oxide apertures.  相似文献

To address the discrepancy between carrier collection and light absorption of organic solar cells caused by the limited carrier mobility and optical absorption coefficient for the normally employed organic photoactive layers, a light management structure composed of a front indium tin oxide(ITO) nanograting and ultrathin Al layer inserted in between the photoactive layer and the electron transport layer(ETL) is introduced. Owing to the antireflection and light scattering induced by the ITO nanograting and the suppression of light absorption in the ETL by the inserted Al layer, the light absorption of the photoactive layer is significantly enhanced in a spectral range from 400 nm to 650 nm that also covers the main energy region of solar irradiation for the normally employed active materials such as the P3HT:PC_(61) BM blend. The simulation results indicate that comparing with the control device with a planar configuration of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3HT:PC_(61) BM(80-nm thick)/Zn O/Al, the short-circuit current density and power conversion efficiency of the optimized light management structure can be improved by 32.86% and 34.46%. Moreover, good omnidirectional light management is observed for the proposed device structure. Owing to the fact that the light management structure possesses the simple structure and excellent performance, the exploration of such a structure can be believed to be significant in fabricating the thin film-based optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

为增强有机太阳能电池的光利用率,提高能量转换效率,本文合成了金四面体形状的纳米粒子,并用聚苯乙烯磺酸钠(PSS)包裹形成了核壳结构的金纳米四面体(Au@PSS tetrahedra NPs).将其掺杂到有机太阳能电池空穴提取层与活性层的界面处,利用表面等离子体共振效应来增强活性层对光的吸收,从而提高有机太阳能电池的能量转换效率.研究了掺杂浓度和PSS包裹厚度对电池性能的影响.结果表明:掺杂浓度为6%时,器件性能最佳,能量转换效率达到3.08%; PSS壳层厚度优化为2.5 nm时,转换效率达到3.65%,较标准电池提升了22.9%.电池性能的改善主要源于金四面体纳米粒子的共振吸收峰位于给体材料吸收谱范围内,纳米粒子的共振促进了给体的吸收,同时PSS壳层的引入促进了激子的解离和电荷的转移,上述因素的改善提升了电池的短路电流、填充因子和转换效率.  相似文献

利用Collins公式得出光强均匀部分相干光经柱面球差透镜聚焦后的轴上光强分布,并通过数值模拟的方法研究了入射光的菲涅耳数、相干度和透镜的球差对轴上点光强分布的影响.结果显示,当菲涅耳数较小、空间相干度较小的部分相干光经无球差透镜聚焦时,轴上点光强分布会产生焦移现象,而当部分相干光被球差透镜聚焦时,也会有焦移现象产生.  相似文献

The effect of Au nanorods(NRs) on optical-to-electric conversion efficiency is investigated in inverted polymer solar cells, in which Au NRs are sandwiched between two layers of Zn O. Accompanied by the optimization of thickness of Zn O covered on Au NRs, a high-power conversion efficiency of 3.60% and an enhanced short-circuit current density(J SC) of10.87 m A/cm2 are achieved in the poly(3-hexylthiophene): [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester(P3HT:PC60BM)-based inverted cell and the power conversion efficiency(PCE) is enhanced by 19.6% compared with the control device. The detailed analyses of the light absorption characteristics, the simulated scattering induced by Au NRs, and the electromagnetic field around Au NRs show that the absorption improvement in the photoactive layer due to the light scattering from the longitudinal axis and the near-field increase around Au NRs induced by localized surface plasmon resonance plays a key role in enhancing the performances.  相似文献

The quasi-Bessel beam range produced by an absorbing axicon is investigated. It is shown that when an incident Gaussian beam is used, the absorbing axicon stretches (with respect to transparent axicon case) the uniform on-axis light intensity distribution length, as well as expanding the quasi-Bessel beam range. In addition, the peak of axial light distribution is shifted from the axicon tip. As a result any spatial modulation formed due to the bluntness of the tip is reduced close to the on-axis intensity peak, which becomes more smooth and uniform.  相似文献

We propose an achromatic interferometer for the observation of a faint off-axis light source against the background of a bright on-axis light source. The on-axis source and its copy acquire an achromatic phase shift by 180° and interfere with a phase difference of π. The achromatic phase shift is attributable to the geometric phase in the three-dimensional interferometer scheme. Interference spatially separates the nulled and bright fields of the on-axis source, redirecting them on opposite sides of the beamsplitter. Interference does not attenuate the field of the off-axis source and redirects it with an equal intensity on both sides of the beamsplitter. We consider the principle of operation of the nulling interferometer and constraints on the attenuation of an extended source due to the decrease in coherence. The laboratory breadboard and experiment are briefly described.  相似文献

基于Hankel 波理论分析了非相干光源产生Bessel光束的自重建特性, 利用光学设计软件ZEMAX模拟了Bessel光束经过轴上圆形障碍物后的截面光强分布. 由于发光二级管(LED) 具有一定的频谱宽度且不像激光具有很高的相干度, 因此我们采用一定频宽范围的连续谱来描述. 从模拟结果可以直观地看出Bessel光束被轴上圆形障碍物遮挡后逐步完成自重建, 说明用LED非相干光作为光源具有自重建特性.实验上采用LED和轴棱锥元件产生Bessel光束, 然后通过轴上圆形障碍物、轴上方形障碍物, 并拍摄了不同位置处的截面光强分布图, 证实了非相干光源产生Bessel光束的自重建特性.实验结果和模拟结果相符合. 关键词: 无衍射光束 LED光源 轴棱锥 自重建  相似文献

A three-dimensional common-path interferometer is proposed, which can achromatically null out an on-axis source while it maintains the detectability of an off-axis source. A geometric phase in the three-dimensional interferometer introduces an achromatic pi-phase shift to the light from the on-axis source, such that destructive interference nulls out the axial light at one of the ports of the interferometer. Light from the off-axis source, which is exempt from the pi-phase shift, comes out from both ports with equal intensity. The common-path scheme makes the system highly immune to environmental disturbances.  相似文献

A common-path interferometer that is intended for observation of a faint off-axis light source against the background of an intense on-axis source is suggested. The on-axis source and its replicated image acquire an achromatic phase shift of 180° and interfere in antiphase. The achromatic phase shift is due to the geometrical phase in the configuration of a 3D interferometer. Interference spatially separates the dark and bright fields of the on-axis source by directing them to different sides of a beam splitter. At the same time, interference does not attenuate the field of the off-axis source, directing it to different sides of the beam splitter with equal intensities. Such a configuration of the common-path interferometer provides mechanical stability.  相似文献

Optical functionality of materials used in devices is the basis of modern photonics. It depends on selected photoactive impurities or low-dimensional structures, which can be tailored by ion implantation. The present survey covers cathode-luminescence spectroscopy performed after Ge, Ba, Na, Rb and Cs ion implantation in α-quartz, in connection with dynamic, laser-induced and chemical epitaxy of the surface layers amorphized during the ion irradiation. The correlations, which emerged for various luminescence bands, ion species and thermal processing methods, allows one to classify the bands into ion-specific and intrinsic ones. The microstructural properties measured by ion beam analysis and transmission electron microscopy will be combined with the luminescence data, and the role of photoactive defects in quartz and nanoparticles of the implants will be discussed. The technologically most attractive case of double Rb/Ge implantation will be highlighted, which combines the achievement of full chemical epitaxy (due to the alkali ions) and a high light output (due to Ge atoms). Finally, some investigations suggested to better understand the interplay between nanostructure and light emission in ion-doped quartz and the enormous potential for photonic application will be outlined.  相似文献

The wavelength-dependent intensity of a light beam scattered by an isotropic homogeneous particle illuminated with an on-axis monochromatic polarized Gaussian beam is calculated in this paper. The vector spherical harmonics expansion and T transformation matrix are used to form the theoretical basis. Numerical results show that the angular intensity distribution is symmetric for an on-axis polarized Gaussian beam illumination upon an aqueous spherical particle at 473, 532 and 660 nm. For the specified aqueous spherical particle, the scattered intensity distribution decreases with increase in wavelengths.  相似文献

Surfaces of 6H-SiC(0001) homoepitaxial layers deposited on vicinal (3.5° off (0001) towards [11 0]) and on-axis 6H---SiC wafers by chemical vapour deposition have been investigated using ultra-high vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy. Undulating step configurations were observed on both the on-axis and the vicinal surfaces. The former surface possessed wider terraces than the latter. Step heights on both surfaces were 0.25 nm corresponding to single bilayers containing one Si and one C layer. After annealing at T>1100°C for 3–5 min in UHV, selected terraces contained honeycomb-like regions caused by the transformation to a graphitic surface as a result of Si sublimation. A model of the observed step configuration has been proposed based on the observation of the [ 110] or [1 10] orientations of the steps and energetic considerations. Additional deposition of very thin (2 nm) SiC films on the above samples by gas source molecular beam epitaxy was performed to observe the evolution of the surface structure. Step bunching and growth of 6H---SiC layers and formation of 3C---SiC islands were observed on the vicinal and the on-axis surfaces, respectively, and controlled by the diffusion lengths of the adatoms.  相似文献

Summary We present a family of laser beams with spatially pulsing on-axis intensity. They are obtained by summation of nondiffracting Bessel beams. They are shown to be able to realize, with good approximation, any spatial periodic on-axis intensity in the period limits set by the frequency of the monochromatic source of light used. We proposed a roll-to-plate UV imprinting lithography (RPIL) process for fabricating dual brightness enhancement structures on light guide plates (LGPs). The refractive indices of the UV resin for layers imprinted on the LGP were investigated through computer-aid optical analysis and experiments. The refractive indices of the resins ranged from 1.49 to 1.69, and flat films such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films used by the media layer have better on-axis luminous intensity enhancement rate rates. Using the proposed process, several vertical prismatic structures on the LGP achieved a formability rate of 97% respectively, and the luminous intensity enhancement rate exceeded 2.1, which is almost the same as that of 3M's dual-prism film. This study demonstrates the potential of our proposed process for fabricating multi-layer of microstructures on the LGP.  相似文献

基于广义惠更斯-菲涅耳原理,推导出啁啾脉冲高斯光束在湍流大气中传输的光谱解析表达式,并对解析表达式进行了数值仿真。结果表明:啁啾参数越大,光源谱宽越宽;当光源相对谱宽大于0.336时,轴上点光谱产生蓝移;湍流使得轴上点光谱的相对频移量减小,相对频移量随源光谱宽的增大而非线性增大;增大光束束腰半径可减小湍流对光谱频移、光束展宽的影响。  相似文献

We present an experimental characterization of the process of coherent harmonic generation in single-pass free electron lasers. The harmonic radiation is obtained by seeding the electron beam stored in the Elettra storage ring with a Ti:sapphire laser. Different methods for generating harmonics are compared between them, and a detailed characterization of the emitted light is performed for different polarizations. Our results also contribute to the debate about the possible presence of a coherent on-axis signal in helical undulators. In this respect, we provide an experimental confirmation of recent theoretical studies that predict no coherent on-axis signal.  相似文献

从标量衍射理论出发,采用瑞利-索末菲衍射边界条件,通过求解第一类瑞利-索末菲衍射积分得到平面波经圆环衍射后轴上的波函数,进而分析轴上的光强特性以及光强极值数量、位置和大小与衍射圆环内外孔径的关系.比较用传统的光强定义和精确定义得到的光强公式的偏差,以及偏差与内外半径的关系.并将圆环衍射向内半径为零和外半径为无穷大两个方向进行推广,即对圆孔和圆形障碍物两种情况下的衍射情况进行讨论.  相似文献

The on-axis intensity distribution of a beam generated by a Fresnel axicon (fraxicon) is experimentally and numerically examined and compared to a classical axicon. Monochromatic illumination produces strong oscillations in this distribution due to diffraction from the fraxicon facets combined with shadowing effects. It is shown that by proper selection of the ratio of the illuminating light wavelength to the period of the fraxicon these oscillations can be minimized by exploiting interference. In addition, polychromatic illumination of the fraxicon also permits homogenization of the on-axis intensity with some remaining oscillations at the start of the depth of field which can be reduced by decreasing the period of the fraxicon.  相似文献

Brillouin scattering of light by sound waves in photoconducting CdS under current saturation conditions gives a fair explanation for the multisaturations of the I–V characteristic. The acoustic flux is spread in the symmetry plane ⊥ to the C axis and is made up of on-axis and of-axis shear phonons respectively responsible for the first and second saturation. Off-axis modes are located in privileged directions which depend on the crystal size and surface treatment. D. L. White's theory explains the whole experimental observation and foresees the occurrence of more than two knees in the I–V characteristic.  相似文献
