We study the generalized hypergeometric system introduced by Gelfand, Kapranov and Zelevinsky and its relationship with the toric Deligne-Mumford (DM) stacks recently studied by Borisov, Chen and Smith. We construct series solutions with values in a combinatorial version of the Chen-Ruan (orbifold) cohomology and in the K-theory of the associated DM stacks. In the spirit of the homological mirror symmetry conjecture of Kontsevich, we show that the K-theory action of the Fourier-Mukai functors associated to basic toric birational maps of DM stacks are mirrored by analytic continuation transformations of Mellin-Barnes type.  相似文献

Summary This paper treats periodic fluid transients in liquid metals contained in constant-area rectangular ducts with uniform, transverse, applied magnetic fields and with insulating walls parallel to the magnetic field and perfectly conducting walls perpendicular to it. The magnetic Reynolds and Mach numbers are assumed to be small, and the Reynolds number is assumed to be large. First, asymptotic solutions are obtained for small values of the interaction parameter and then approximate solutions are obtained for arbitrary values of the interaction parameter using a Galerkin method with modified Fourier series.
Résumé Cet article traite des ondes de compression périodiques dans un métal liquide contenu dans une conduite rectangulaire à section rectangulaire constante, à laquelle un champ magnétique transverse et uniforme est appliqué et dont deux parois sont isolantes et parallèles au champ magnétique, les deux autres étant parfaitement conductrices. On admet que le nombre magnétique de Reynolds et le nombre de Mach sont petits et que le nombre de Reynolds est grand. Quand le nombre d'intéraction est petit, les solutions seront asymptotiques et quand le nombre d'intéraction est arbitrarire, on trouvera les solutions approximatives par la méthode de Galerkin avec les series modifiées de Fourier.

The influences of Hall current and slip condition on the MHD flow induced by sinusoidal peristaltic wavy wall in two dimensional viscous fluid through a porous medium for moderately large Reynolds number is considered on the basis of boundary layer theory in the case where the thickness of the boundary layer is larger than the amplitude of the wavy wall. Solutions are obtained in terms of a series expansion with respect to small amplitude by a regular perturbation method. Graphs of velocity components, both for the outer and inner flows for various values of the Reynolds number, slip parameter, Hall and magnetic parameters are drawn. The inner and outer solutions are matched by the matching process. An interesting application of the present results to mechanical engineering may be the possibility of the fluid transportation without an external pressure.  相似文献

Oseen’ approximations are used to study the slow motion of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid past a circular cylinder in the presence of a uniform aligned magnetic field. Using series truncation method, the analytical solutions for the first three terms in the Fourier sine series expansion of the stream function are obtained. Numerical values of the tangential drag for different values of magnetic interaction parameter and viscous Reynolds number are calculated.  相似文献

A new seven-modes truncation of Fourier series of Navier-Stokes equations for a two-dimensional incompressible fluid on a torus is obtained.And its stationary solutions,the existence of attractor and the global stability of the equations are firmly proved.At the same time,several issues such as some basic dynamical behaviors and routs to chaos are shown numerically by changing Reynolds number.The system exhibits a stochastic behavior approached through an involved sequence of bifurcations.  相似文献

We construct examples of supersingular Calabi-Yau threefolds in characteristic 2 making use of the method by Schoen. Unirational Calabi-Yau threefolds of five different topological types are obtained. There are two examples with the third Betti number zero among them, and they are counted as other examples of non-liftable Calabi-Yau threefolds in characteristic 2 after the one given by Schröer.  相似文献

The direct boundary element method is applied to the numerical modelling of thermal fluid flow in a transient state. The Navier-Stokes equations are considered under the Boussinesq approximation and the viscous thermal flow equations are expressed in terms of stream function, vorticity, and temperature in two dimensions. Boundary integral equations are derived using logarithmic potential and time-dependent heat potential as fundamental solutions. Boundary unknowns are discretized by linear boundary elements and flow domains are divided into a series of triangular cells. Charged points are translated upstream in the numerical evaluation of convective terms. Unknown stream function, vorticity, and temperature are staggered in the computational scheme.

Simple iteration is found to converge to the quasi steady-state flow. Boundary solutions for two-dimensional examples at a Reynolds number 100 and Grashoff number 107 are obtained.  相似文献

For diagonal cubic surfaces, we give an upper bound for E. Peyre's Tamagawa type number in terms of the coefficients of the defining equation. This bound shows that the reciprocal admits a fundamental finiteness property on the set of all diagonal cubic surfaces. As an application, we show that the infinite series of Tamagawa numbers related to the Fano cubic bundles considered by Batyrev and Tschinkel (1996) [BT] are indeed convergent.  相似文献

The magnetic Reynolds and Mach numbers are assumed to be small, and the Reynolds number is assumed to be large. By the use of a complex coordinate transformation, closed-form solutions are obtained for the perfectly conducting duct. By the same technique, solutions in series of Mathieu functions are obtained for the fully insultating duct. A method for solving the dispersion relation for each case is outlined, and sample numerical results are presented.

Ici on suppose que le nombre magnétique de Reynolds et le nombre de Mach sont petits et que le nombre de Reynolds est grand. A l'aide d'une transformation complexe des corrdonnées on obtient des solutions éxactes pour une conduite qui est parfaitement conductrice. Par le même technique on trouve les solutions pour la conduite parfaitement isolante dans une série de fonctions de Mathieu. Une méthode pour la solution de l'équation de dispersion est esquissée et des exemples de résultats numériques sont présentés.

The problem of peristaltic transport induced by sinusoidal waves of a particle-fluid mixture in the presence of a Poiseuille flow, is analysed. The governing equations of motion resulting from the Navier-Stokes equations for both the fluid and particle phases are solved and closed form solutions are obtained for limiting values of Reynolds number, wave number and the Poiseuille flow parameter while the method of Frobenius series solution is used for the general case. It is found that the mean flow is strongly dependent on the Poiseuille flow parameter. The effects of particle concentration in the fluid is well discharged throughout the analysis and the results are compared with the other studies in the literature.  相似文献

Summary The steady axisymmetric flow of a viscous incompressible fluid between two coaxial disks, one rotating and the other stationary, with uniform suction at the stationary disk is discussed. Similarity solutions of Navier-Stokes equations are obtained by the method of regular perturbation for small suction Reynolds number and numerically for an arbitrary suction Reynolds number by a series expansion method and also by integrating directly by a Newton-Raphson technique. It is found that for a fixed rotational Reynolds number and varying suction Reynolds number there is an overall increase in the velocity components as the suction increases.
Zusammenfassung Es wird die stationäre axisymmetrische Strömung zwischen zwei koaxialen Platten untersucht, von denen die eine rotiert und die andere stationär ist, wobei an der stationären Platte eine gleichförmige Absaugung stattfindet. Ähnlichkeitslösungen der Navier-Stokesschen Gleichungen werden erhalten, durch eine reguläre Störungsrechnung bei kleinen Absaug-Reynoldszahlen, während bei beliebigen Werten dieses Parameters numerische Resultate sowohl durch eine Reihenentwicklung wie auch durch direkte Integration mit Hilfe der Newton-Raphson-Technik gefunden werden. Bei fester Rotations-Reynoldszahl und variabler Absaugung findet man eine allgemeine Erhöhung der Geschwindigkeits-komponenten mit der Absaugung.

Elliptic surfaces over an algebraically closed field in characteristic p>0 with multiple supersingular elliptic fibers, that is, multiple fibers of a supersingular elliptic curve, are investigated. In particular, it is shown that for an elliptic surface with q=g+1 and a supersingular elliptic curve as a general fiber, where q is the dimension of an Albanese variety of the surface and g is the genus of the base curve, the multiplicities of the multiple supersingular elliptic fibers are not divisible by p2. As an application of this result, the structure of false hyperelliptic surfaces is discussed on this basis.  相似文献

The problem of injection (suction) of a viscous incompressible fluid through a rotating porous disc onto a rotating co-axial disc is studied using computer extended series. The universal coefficients in the low Reynolds number perturbation expansion are generated by delegating the routine complex algebra to computer. Various cases leading to specific types of flows are studied. Analytic continuation of the series solution yields results which agree favourably with pure numerical findings up to moderately large Reynolds number. The precise variation of lift as a function of R is established in each case.  相似文献

We prove the infinitesimal Torelli theorem for general minimal complex surfaces X's with the first Chern number 3, geometric genus 1, and irregularity 0 which have non-trivial 3-torsion divisors.
