An asymmetric feeding X-band active leaky-wave antennas is developed, to excite the first high order mode of the microstrip
leaky wave antenna. One is the asymmetric feeding leaky-wave antenna which integrated with a HEMT oscillator, and the other
is the frequency-tuned leaky-wave antenna which integrated with a varactortuned HEMT VCO. The microstrip leaky-wave antenna
is operated in the first higher mode. To excite the first higher mode, the microstrip leaky-wave antenna is fed asymmetrically.
The dominant mode excitation has been successfully suppressed by adding a sequence of covered wire in the center of the microstrip
leaky wave antenna. The design of these active leaky-wave antennas is discussed and the beam scanning phenomena of the antenna
is presented. The HEMT oscillator frequency is controlled by tuning the varactor DC bias and the beam scanning is demonstrated.
The measured scanning angle agree with prediction, it is close to 30° as the VCO frequency tuned from 8.06 GHz to 9GHz. 相似文献

In this paper, a metamaterial antenna based on complementary electric-LC (CELC) resonator is proposed. The antenna consists of slot-loaded ELC on the ground plane as the main antennas radiating element and excited by a microstrip line. The CELC resonator is characterized by single-negative magnetic moment excited by coupling between the microstrip transmission line and slot-loaded CELC. The peak realized gain and efficiency of 2.63 dB and 86 % are obtained, respectively, at resonance frequency. Simulation and measurement results are presented to validate the design. The antenna is suitable for WLAN applications (2.39–2.48 GHz). 相似文献

A frequency tunable active leaky-wave scanning antenna using Gunn-diode voltage control oscillator (VCO) as source is developed. The frequency tuning controlled by changing either the varactor diode dc bias or the Gunn diode dc bias is demonstrated. The measured scanning angle of active antenna is close to 15 degree as the Gunn VCO frequency tuned from 12.58GHz to 12.98GHz. To excite the first higher order mode of the microstrip leaky-wave antenna is fed asymmetrically. The dominant mode excitation has been successfully suppressed by adding a sequence of covered wire in the middle line of the microstrip leaky wave antenna. This is a prototype of frequency scanning antenna using two terminal device, which can be easily scaled up to millimeter wave frequency region. 相似文献

利用Rogers 5880为介质材料设计了一款应用于车载防撞雷达前端的圆极化微带阵列天线,该阵列天线采用直线阵结构,运用了多个四分之一波长阻抗变换器实现了阻抗匹配。仿真和测试结果表明: 该阵列天线的阻抗带宽(S11 < -10 dB)为23.45~25.65 GHz,最大增益为15.54 dB;轴比带宽24.56~25 GHz,轴比最小为1.25 dB;第一副瓣电平小于-20 dB,E面半功率波瓣宽度为10°,H面波瓣宽度为75°,其尺寸为70.94 mm×14.72 mm×0.508 mm。该天线具有高增益、低副瓣、体积小、性能稳定等优点,在汽车防撞雷达系统中有广阔的应用前景。 相似文献

A fully automated tool for designing CRLH interdigital microstrip structures using a co-design synthesis computational approach
is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. This approach uses an electromagnetic simulator in conjunction with a genetic
algorithm to synthesize and optimize a balanced CRLH interdigital microstrip transmission line. The high sensitivity of a
long balanced transmission line to fabrication tolerances is controlled by the use of a high precision 3D simulator. The 2.5D
simulator used was found insufficient for a large number of unit cells. A 13 UC CRLH transmission line is designed with the
proposed approach. The response sensitivity of the balanced transmission lines to the over/under-etching factor is highlighted
by comparing the measurements of four lines with different factors. The effect of over/under-etching is significant for values

A simple varactor tuned X-band Gunn diode VCO antenna array which is strongly coupled has been demonstrated. These arrays
have the advantages of simple biasing circuit, no resistors required to eliminate multimode problem and suitable for monolithic
integration circuit. Preliminary results show a maximum tuning range of 47MHz for 1×1 array and 170MHz for 2×2 array. In order
to solve power combining heating problem, we move the backside metal forward and it becomes a microstrip form. The measured

本文通过设计出一种反射型极化旋转超表面,在8—12 GHz频域内实现高效的极化旋转,并将其加载于微带缝隙天线下方构成新型的极化旋转超表面天线,利用超表面的90°极化旋转效应,成功实现了天线的圆极化辐射调制.仿真与实验结果表明:圆极化天线的中心工作频率为GHz,阻抗带宽为8.3—10 GHz.当微带缝隙天线与极化旋转超表面的间距H=4.5mm时,天线在8.3—8.8 GHz频带内实现了圆极化辐射;当mm时,天线在8.8—9.3 GHz频带内实现了圆极化辐射;当=8mm时,天线在9.3—10 GHz频带内实现了圆极化辐射.实验结果与仿真结果相符,证明了此种设计方法的有效性,也为微带缝隙天线的圆极化设计提供了一种新的途径. 相似文献

Design and prototyping of a low profile, compact square loop microstrip line fed miniature patch antenna on 1.9 mm thick ceramic-polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) high dielectric composite material substrate is presented in this paper. The measured ?10 dB return loss bandwidths of the antenna are 300 MHz (0.75–1.05 GHz) and 800 MHz (2.4–3.2 GHz) with 3.4 dBi, 8.86 dBi and 7.42 dBi at 900 MHz, 2.5 GHz and 3.0 GHz, respectively. The measured symmetric and almost stable radiation pattern makes the proposed antenna suitable for RFID, GSM, ZIGBEE, WBAN, LR-WPAN etc. integrated mobile devices. 相似文献

首先提出了一种基于互补开口单环谐振器对(CSSRRP)的新型谐振式复合左右手传输线(CRLH TL)和其等效电路模型. 采用Bloch理论对等效电路进行了深入研究, 推导了CRLH TL工作于平衡态的计算公式. 通过等效电磁参数提取, 证明了该结构的负折射率与后向波传输特性. 其次在CSSRRP中引入Koch分形结构, 设计了工作于WiMAX波段的电小平衡零相移传输线. 最后基于设计的零相移传输线制作了一分四串联功分器. 对其进行测试, 测试结果与仿真结果完全符合, 从而验证了设计方法的正确性. 与传统统蜿蜒线状一分四功分器相比, 本文提出的功分器带宽有效展宽56%且尺寸缩减了42%. 基于分形CSSRRP的左手传输线必将在小型化无线通信系统中得到广泛应用. 相似文献

The design and prototyping of a new double L-shaped patch antenna on substrate of available low cost polymer resin composite material is presented. The designed microstrip line fed compact antenna consists of a planar double L-shaped slotted radiating patch, 1.6 mm thick substrate and ground plane. The proposed small antenna was designed and analyzed using a finite-element method-based, commercially available, high frequency structure simulator, and fabricated on a printed circuit board. The measured ?10 dB return loss bandwidths were 220 MHz and 650 MHz at 4.85 GHz and 8.10 GHz center frequencies. The corresponding symmetric and almost steady radiation patterns have peak gains of 7.6 dBi and 4.1 dBi, making the proposed antenna suitable for C and × band wireless applications, especially for WLANs, mobiles and satellites. The radiation efficiency, input impedance and current distribution of the proposed antenna were also analyzed. 相似文献

Continuous electromagnetic emission from a Gunn diode built in a microstrip log-periodic antenna in the frequency range from 25 to 60 GHz is studied experimentally. The microstrip antenna was located on an insulating substrate with a thickness of about a quarter of the wavelength and with a metallized back side. It is shown that the output radiation power of such an antenna reaches 5 mW, which is over 50% of the power received from similar diodes in the waveguide cavity. The oscillation regime was varied from single-mode to noise-like, depending on the dielectric thickness and could be synchronized by external emission. Such a quasi-optical structure based on a Gunn diode is convenient for summing up powers from individual oscillators in an open resonator and is of great interest for the terahertz frequency band. 相似文献

We propose a single-beam leaky-wave antenna (LWA) with a wide-scanning angle and a high-scanning rate based on spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) in this paper. The SSPP transmission line (TL) is etched with periodically arranged circular patches, which converts the slow-wave mode into the fast-wave region for radiation. The proposed LWA is designed, fabricated, and tested. The simulated results imply that the proposed LWA not only achieves a high radiation efficiency of about 81.4%, and a high scanning rate of 12.12, but also has a large scanning angle of 176° over a narrow operation bandwidth of 8.3—9.6 GHz (for |S11|<-10 dB). In addition, the simulated average gain of the LWA can reach as high as 10.9 dBi. The measured scanning angle range is 175° in the operation band of 8.2—9.6 GHz, and the measured average gain is 10.6 dBi. The experimental results are consistent with the simulation, validating its performance. An antenna with high radiation efficiency, wide scanning angle range, and high scanning rate has great potential for application in radar and wireless communication systems. 相似文献

AbstractIn this study, we explain an approach including conversion from constitutive parameters to dispersive transmission line parameters using the double-band DNG (double-negative) properties of the circular type fishnet metamaterials. After designing the metamaterial structure, the numerical calculations and the composite right/left-handed (CRLH) modeling of circular-type metamaterials are realized in free space. Detailed dispersion characteristics give us the opportunity to explain the true behavior of the inclusions during the analysis stage. By combining the results coming from the standard retrieval procedure with the conventional CRLH theory, we calculate the actual values of the transmission line parameters for all frequency regimes. The constitutive parameters of an equivalent CRLH transmission line are derived and shown to be negative values. It is shown that the constitutive parameters present the same behavior for all negative refractive index regimes. The double-negative properties and the phase advance/lag behavior of metamaterials are observed based on the dispersive transmission line parameters. 相似文献
