Washout filter is a simple filter that can be designed easily. In this paper, a system for controlling a neural equation with discrete time delay based on Washout filter is presented. The transcendental equation of the corresponding linearized system is analyzed. In this control system, it is found that Hopf bifurcation occurs when the control parameters are chosen properly and that a chaotic orbit can be controlled to a stable periodic solution. The stability condition for bifurcating periodic solutions and the direction of Hopf bifurcation are studied by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. Some numerical results are also presented to illustrate the correctness of our results.  相似文献

Chaos and chaos synchronization of the centrifugal flywheel governor system are studied in this paper. By mechanics analyzing, the dynamical equation of the centrifugal flywheel governor system is established. Because of the non-linear terms of the system, the system exhibits both regular and chaotic motions. The characteristic of chaotic attractors of the system is presented by the phase portraits and power spectra. The evolution from Hopf bifurcation to chaos is shown by the bifurcation diagrams and a series of Poincaré sections under different sets of system parameters, and the bifurcation diagrams are verified by the related Lyapunov exponent spectra. This letter addresses control for the chaos synchronization of feedback control laws in two coupled non-autonomous chaotic systems with three different coupling terms, which is demonstrated and verified by Lyapunov exponent spectra and phase portraits. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed chaos synchronization scheme.  相似文献

This paper analyzes a controlled servomechanism with feedback and a cubic nonlinearity by means of the Bogdanov–Takens and Andronov–Poincaré–Hopf bifurcations, from which steady-state, self-oscillating and chaotic behaviors will be investigated using the center manifold theorem. The system controller is formed by a Proportional plus Integral plus Derivative action (PID) that allows to stabilize and drive to a prescribed set point a body connected to the shaft of a DC motor. The Bogdanov–Takens bifurcation is analyzed through the second Lyapunov stability method and the harmonic-balance method, whereas the first Lyapunov value is used for the Andronov–Poincaré–Hopf bifurcation. On the basis of the results deduced from the bifurcation analysis, we show a procedure to select the parameters of the PID controller so that an arbitrary steady-state position of the servomechanism can be reached even in presence of noise. We also show how chaotic behavior can be obtained by applying a harmonical external torque to the device in self-oscillating regime. The advantage of achieving chaotic behavior is that it can be used so that the system reaches a set point inside a strange attractor with a small control effort. The analytical calculations have been verified through detailed numerical simulations.  相似文献

The paper studies the dynamical behaviors of a discrete Logistic system with feedback control. The system undergoes Flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation by using the center manifold theorem and the bifurcation theory. Numerical simulations not only illustrate our results, but also exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors of the system, such as the period-doubling bifurcation in periods 2, 4, 8 and 16, and quasi-periodic orbits and chaotic sets.  相似文献

This paper characterizes some complex dynamics of Chen’s system. Some conditions of existence for pitchfork bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are derived by using bifurcation theory and the center manifold theorem. Numerical simulation results not only show consistence with the theoretical analysis but also display some new and interesting dynamical behaviors including homoclinic bifurcation and the coexistence of two stable limit cycles and one chaotic attractor as well as some periodic solutions emerging from Hopf bifurcation but ending in homoclinic bifurcation, which are different from those reported in the literature before. All these show that Chen’s system has very rich nonlinear dynamics.  相似文献

The stability and bifurcation of a van der Pol-Duffing oscillator with the delay feedback are investigated, in which the strength of feedback control is a nonlinear function of delay. A geometrical method in conjunction with an analytical method is developed to identify the critical values for stability switches and Hopf bifurcations. The Hopf bifurcation curves and multi-stable regions are obtained as two parameters vary. Some weak resonant and non-resonant double Hopf bifurcation phenomena are observed due to the vanishing of the real parts of two pairs of characteristic roots on the margins of the “death island” regions simultaneously. By applying the center manifold theory, the normal forms near the double Hopf bifurcation points, as well as classifications of local dynamics are analyzed. Furthermore, some quasi-periodic and chaotic motions are verified in both theoretical and numerical ways.  相似文献

In this study the results are presented concerning the dynamics of homogeneous tubular chemical reactors with the recycle of mass. A detailed analysis shows that two types of dynamic bifurcation exist, namely, the flip bifurcation (FB) and the Hopf bifurcation (HB). It is demonstrated that each of these two types leads, for given values of the model parameters, to chaotic oscillations. Moreover, the Hopf bifurcation can also generate quasi-periodic solutions. The results are illustrated using temporal trajectories, bifurcation diagrams and Poincaré sections.  相似文献

In this study, we consider a fractional prey–predator scavenger model as well as harvesting by a predator and scavenger. We prove the positivity and boundedness of the solutions in this system. The model undergoes a Hopf bifurcation around one of the existing equilibria where the conditions are met for the occurrence of a Hopf bifurcation. The results show that chaos disappears in this biological model. We conclude that the fractional system is more stable compared with the classical case and the stability domain can be extended under fractional order. In addition, a suitable amount of prey harvesting and a fractional order derivative can control the chaotic dynamics and stabilize them. We also present an extended numerical simulation to validate the results.  相似文献

A system with more than one positive Lyapunov exponent can be classified as a hyperchaotic system. In this study, a sinusoidal perturbation was designed for generating hyperchaos from the Chen–Lee chaotic system. The hyperchaos was identified by the existence of two positive Lyapunov exponents and bifurcation diagrams. The system is hyperchaotic in several different regions of the parameters c, ε, and ω. It was found that this method not only can enhance or suppress chaotic behavior, but also induces chaos in non-chaotic parameter ranges. In addition, two interesting dynamical behaviors, Hopf bifurcation and intermittency, were also found in this study.  相似文献

This paper presents a 4D new hyperchaotic system which is constructed by a linear controller to a 3D new chaotic system with one saddle and two stable node-foci. Some complex dynamical behaviors such as ultimate boundedness, chaos and hyperchaos of the simple 4D autonomous system are investigated and analyzed. The corresponding bounded hyperchaotic and chaotic attractor is first numerically verified through investigating phase trajectories, Lyapunove exponents, bifurcation path, analysis of power spectrum and Poincaré projections. Finally, two complete mathematical characterizations for 4D Hopf bifurcation are rigorous derived and studied.  相似文献

This paper reports a four-dimension (4D) fast-slow hyperchaotic system with the structure of two time scales by adding a slow state variable w into a three-dimension (3D) chaotic dynamical system, studies the stability and Hopf bifurcation of origin point. Furthermore, based on the fast-slow dynamical bifurcation analysis and the phase planes analysis, different bursting phenomena, symmetric fold/fold bursting, symmetric sub-Hopf/sub-Hopf bursting and chaotic bursting, as well as chaotic and periodic spiking, are observed in the fast-slow hyperchaotic system. Time delays are often sources of complex behavior in dynamic systems. Yet its complexity needs to be further explored, particularly when multiple time delays are present. As a purpose to gain insight into such complexity under multiple time delays, we investigate the mechanism for the action of multiple time delays on a particular non-autonomous system in this paper. The original mathematical model under consideration is a Duffing oscillator with harmonic excitation. A delayed system is obtained by adding delayed feedbacks to the original system. Two time delays are involved in such system, one of which in the displacement feedback and the other in the velocity feedback. The time delays are taken as adjustable parameters to study their effects on the dynamics of the system. Firstly, the stability of the trivial equilibrium of the linearized system is discussed and the condition under which the equilibrium loses its stability is obtained. This leads to a critical stability boundary where Hopf bifurcation or double Hopf bifurcation may occur. Then, the chaotic behavior of such system is investigated in detail. Particular emphasis is laid on the effect of delay difference between two time delays on the chaotic properties. A Melnikov’s analysis is employed to obtain the necessary condition for onset of chaos resulting from homoclinic bifurcation. And numerical analyses via the bifurcation diagram and the top Lyapunov exponent are carried out to show the actual time delay effect. Both the results obtained by the two analyses show that the delay difference between two time delays plays a very important role in inducing or suppressing chaos, so that it can be taken as a simple but efficient “switch” to control the motion of a system: either from order to chaos or from chaos to order.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence of both Hopf bifurcation and topological horseshoe for a novel finance chaotic system. First, through rigorous mathematical analysis, we show that a Hopf bifurcation occurs at systems’ three equilibriums S0,1,2 and Hopf bifurcation at equilibrium S0 is non-degenerate and supercritical. Second, the computer-assisted verifications for horseshoe chaos in the system are given. Simulation results are presented to support the analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an improved wheelset motion model with two degrees of freedom and study the dynamic behaviors of the system including the symmetry, the existence and uniqueness of the solution, continuous dependence on initial conditions, and Hopf bifurcation. The dynamic characteristics of the wheelset motion system under a nonholonomic constraint are investigated. These results generalize and improve some known results about the wheelset motion system. Meanwhile, based on multiple equilibrium analysis, calculation of Lyapunov exponents and Poincaré section, the chaotic behaviors of the wheelset system are discussed, which indicates that there are more complex dynamic behaviors in the railway wheelset system with higher order terms of Taylor series of trigonometric functions. This paper has also realized the chaos control and bifurcation control for the wheelset motion system by adaptive feedback control method and linear feedback control. The results show that the chaotic wheelset system and bifurcation wheelset system are all well controlled, whether by controlling the yaw angle and the lateral displacement or only by controlling the yaw angle. Numerical simulations are carried out to further verify theoretical analyses.  相似文献

From the view of bifurcation and chaos control, the dynamics of modified Chua’s circuit system are investigated by a delayed feedback method. Firstly, the local stability of the equilibria is discussed by analyzing the distribution of the roots of associated characteristic equation. The regions of linear stability of equilibria are given. It is found that there exist Hopf bifurcation and Hopf-zero bifurcation when the delay passes though a sequence of critical values. By using the normal form method and the center manifold theory, we derive the explicit formulas for determining the direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation. Finally, chaotic oscillation is converted into a stable equilibrium or a stable periodic orbit by designing appropriate feedback strength and delay. Some numerical simulations are carried out to support the analytic results.  相似文献

This paper reports the nonlinear dynamics of a novel three-scroll chaotic system. The local stability of hyperbolic equilibrium and non-hyperbolic equilibrium are investigated by using center manifold theorem. Pitchfork bifurcation, degenerate pitchfork bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation are analyzed when the parameters are varied in the space of parameter. For a suitable choice of the parameters, the existence of singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles and Hopf bifurcation without parameters are also investigated. The present paper revisits a three dimensional (3D) autonomous chaotic system with four-wing occurring in the known literature [Nonlinear Dyn (2010) 60(3): 443--457] with the entitle ``A new type of four-wing chaotic attractors in 3-D quadratic autonomous systems'' and is devoted to discussing its complex dynamical behaviors, mainly for its non-isolated equilibria, Hopf bifurcation, heteroclinic orbit and singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles, etc. Firstly, the detailed distribution of its equilibrium points is formulated. Secondly, the local behaviors of its equilibria, especially the Hopf bifurcation, are studied. Thirdly, its such singular orbits as the heteroclinic orbits and singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles are exploited. In particular, numerical simulations demonstrate that this system not only has four heteroclinic orbits to the origin and other four symmetry equilibria, but also two different kinds of infinitely many singularly degenerate heteroclinic cycles with the corresponding two-wing and four-wing chaotic attractors nearby.  相似文献

The dynamics of a discrete-time predator-prey system is investigated in detail in this paper. It is shown that the system undergoes flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation by using center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Furthermore, Marotto''s chaos is proved when some certain conditions are satisfied. Numerical simulations are presented not only to illustrate our results with the theoretical analysis, but also to exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors, such as the period-6, 7, 8, 10, 14, 18, 24, 36, 50 orbits, attracting invariant cycles, quasi-periodic orbits, nice chaotic behaviors which appear and disappear suddenly, coexisting chaotic attractors, etc. These results reveal far richer dynamics of the discrete-time predator-prey system. Specifically, we have stabilized the chaotic orbits at an unstable fixed point using the feedback control method.  相似文献

In this paper,a 3D chaotic system with multi-parameters is introduced. The dynamical systems of the original ADVP circuit and the modified ADVP model are regarded as special examples to the system.Some basic dynamical behaviors such as the stability of equilibria,the existence of Hopf bifurcation are investigated.We analyse the Hopf bifurcation of the system comprehensively using the first Lyapunov coefficient by precise symbolic computation.As a result,in fact we have studied the further dynamical behaviors.  相似文献
