The study of energy transfer between coupled subsystems in a hybrid system is very important for applications. This paper presents an analytical analysis of energy transfer between plates of a visco-elastically connected double-plate system in free transversal vibrations. The analytical analysis shows that the visco-elastic connection between plates is responsible for the appearance of two-frequency regime in the time function, which corresponds to one eigen amplitude function of one mode, and also that time functions of different vibration modes are uncoupled, but energy transfer between plates in one eigen mode appears. It was shown for each shape of vibrations. Series of the two Lyapunov exponents corresponding to the one eigen amplitude mode are expressed by using the energy of the corresponding eigen amplitude time component.  相似文献

The basic equations of the Mindlin theory are specified as starting point for its modification in which total deflection and rotations are split into pure bending deflection and shear deflection with bending angles of rotation, and in-plane shear angles. The equilibrium equations of the former displacement field are split into one partial differential equation for flexural vibrations. In the latter case two differential equations for in-plane shear vibrations are obtained, which are similar to the well-known membrane equations. Rectangular shear locking-free finite element for flexural vibrations is developed. For in-plane shear vibrations ordinary membrane finite elements can be used. Application of the modified Mindlin theory is illustrated in a case of simply supported square plate. Problems are solved analytically and by FEM and the obtained results are compared with the relevant ones available in the literature.  相似文献

This paper analyses the bending of rectangular orthotropic plates on a Winkler elastic foundation.Appropriate definition of symplectic inner product and symplectic space formed by generalized displacements establish dual variables and dual equations in the symplectic space.The operator matrix of the equation set is proven to be a Hamilton operator matrix.Separation of variables and eigenfunction expansion creates a basis for analyzing the bending of rectangular orthotropic plates on Winkler elastic foundation and obtaining solutions for plates having any boundary condition.There is discussion of symplectic eigenvalue problems of orthotropic plates under two typical boundary conditions,with opposite sides simply supported and opposite sides clamped.Transcendental equations of eigenvalues and symplectic eigenvectors in analytical form given.Analytical solutions using two examples are presented to show the use of the new methods described in this paper.To verify the accuracy and convergence,a fully simply supported plate that is fully and simply supported under uniformly distributed load is used to compare the classical Navier method,the Levy method and the new method.Results show that the new technique has good accuracy and better convergence speed than other methods,especially in relation to internal forces.A fully clamped rectangular plate on Winkler foundation is solved to validate application of the new methods,with solutions compared to those produced by the Galerkin method.  相似文献

By application of the theory of complex functions, the analytical solutions are obtained for mode III interface crack that propagates along the interface of two joined media with weak dissimilarity and strong orthotropy. The Riemann–Hilbert problem is formulated. Several examples are given for different loadings on a moving crack. By superposition, the case of arbitrary loading can be obtained.  相似文献

In this paper the anti-plane problem for an interface crack between two dissimilar magneto-electro-elastic plates subjected to anti-plane mechanical and in-plane magneto-electrical loads is investigated. The interface crack is assumed to be either magneto-electrically impermeable or permeable, and the position of the interface crack is arbitrary. The finite Fourier transform method is employed to reduce the mixed boundary-value problem to triple trigonometric series equations. The dislocation density functions and proper replacement of the variables are introduced to reduce these series equations to a standard Cauchy singular integral equation of the first kind. The resulting integral equation together with the corresponding single-valued condition is approximated as a system of linear algebra equations which can be easily solved. Field intensity factors and energy release rates are determined numerically and discussed in detail. Numerical results show the effects of crack configuration and loading combination parameters on the fracture behaviors of crack tips according to energy release rate criterion. The study of this problem is expected to have applications to the investigation of dynamic fracture properties of magneto-electro-elastic materials with cracks.  相似文献

The problem of vibrations of a viscoelastic plate with concentrated masses is studied in a geometrically nonlinear formulation. In the equation of motion of the plate, the action of the concentrated masses is taken into account using Dirac δ-functions. The problem is reduced to solving a system of Volterra type ordinary nonlinear integrodifferential equations using the Bubnov-Galerkin method. The resulting system with a singular Koltunov-Rzhanitsyn kernel is solved using a numerical method based on quadrature formulas. The effect of the viscoelastic properties of the plate material and the location and amount of concentrated masses on the vibration amplitude and frequency characteristics is studied. In the present paper, an exact analytical solution is obtained for the problem of a semi-infinite elastic rod struck by a rigid mass through a linear Kelvin–Voigt element. The optimization problem resulting in generating compressed pulses of minimum duration is addressed. The case of undamped impact has been studied in detail, and the optimal value for the spring stiffness is presented in a closed form. Inverse problems of recovery of the impact system parameters from the parameters of the strain wave impulse are also considered.  相似文献

The dynamic theory of linear piezoelectricity is applied to analyze the scattering of time harmonic flexural waves by a through crack in a symmetric piezoelectric laminated plate subjected to electric field loading. An incident wave giving rise to moments symmetric about the crack plane is considered. Piezoelectric layers are added to the upper and lower surfaces. Classical lamination theory is extended to include dynamic piezoelectric effects. Fourier transforms are used to reduce the problem to the solution of a pair of dual integral equations, the solution of which is then expressed in terms of a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. The dynamic moment intensity factor vs. frequency is computed and the influence of the electric field on the normalized values is displayed graphically.  相似文献

This article presents the first instance of a double contact discontinuity in analytical solutions for multicomponent, two-phase flow in porous media. We use a three-component system with constant equilibrium ratios and fixed injection and initial conditions, to demonstrate this structure. This wave structure occurs for two-phase injection compositions. Such conditions were not considered previously in the development of analytical solutions for compositional flows. We demonstrate the stability of the double contact discontinuity in terms of the Liu entropy condition and also show that the resulting solution is continuously dependent on initial data. Extensions to four-component and systems with adsorption are presented, demonstrating the more widespread occurrence of this wave structure in multicomponent, two-phase flow systems. The developments in this article provide the building blocks for the development of a complete Riemann solver for general initial and injection conditions.  相似文献

Non-linear free damped vibrations of a rectangular plate described by three non-linear differential equations are considered when the plate is being under the conditions of the internal resonance one-to-one, and the internal additive or difference combinational resonances. Viscous properties of the system are described by the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative of the order smaller than unit. The functions of the in-plane and out-of-plane displacements are determined in terms of eigenfunctions of linear vibrations with the further utilization of the method of multiple scales, in so doing the amplitude functions are expanded into power series in terms of the small parameter and depend on different time scales, but the fractional derivative is represented as a fractional power of the differentiation operator. It is assumed that the order of the damping coefficient depends on the character of the vibratory process and takes on the magnitude of the amplitudes’ order. The time-dependence of the amplitudes in the form of incomplete integrals of the first kind is obtained. Using the constructed solutions, the influence of viscosity on the energy exchange mechanism is analyzed which is intrinsic to free vibrations of different structures being under the conditions of the internal resonance. It is shown that each mode is characterized by its damping coefficient which is connected with the natural frequency of this mode by the exponential relationship with a negative fractional exponent. It is shown that viscosity may have a twofold effect on the system: a destabilizing influence producing unsteady energy exchange, and a stabilizing influence resulting in damping of the energy exchange mechanism.  相似文献

The eigenvalue problem for the Hamiltonian operator associated with the mathematical model for the deflection of a thin elastic plate is investigated. First, the problem for a rectangular plate with simply supported edges is solved directly. Then, the completeness of the eigenfunctions is proved, thereby demonstrating the feasibility of using separation of variables to solve the problem. The paper deals with the plane problem of steady-state time harmonic vibrations of an infinite elastic plate resting on a water-saturated porous solid. The displacements of the plate are described by means of the linear theory of small elastic oscillations. The motion of the two-phase medium is studied within the framework of Biot's linear theory of consolidation. The main interest is focused on the investigation of properties of the Rayleigh-type waves propagating alongside of the contact surface between the plate and the porous half-space. In particular, the dependence of the phase velocity and attenuation of the waves on the plate stiffness, mass coupling coefficient, and degree of saturation of the medium is studied. Besides, for the limiting case of an infinitely thin plate, the comparison of the wave characteristics is carried out with those of the pure Rayleigh waves.  相似文献

A problem of fracture mechanics on crack nucleation in a reinforced plate attenuated by a periodic system of circular holes is considered. Crack nucleation is modeled by a pre-fracture band in the plastic flow state with a constant stress, which is considered as a region of attenuated bonds between material particles. Determining unknown parameters characterizing the emerging crack reduces to solving a singular integral equation. In this paper the weakly nonlinear, transversal vibrations of aconveyor belt will be considered. The belt is assumed to move witha low and time-varying speed. Using Kirchhoff's approach a singleequation of motion will be derived from a coupled system ofpartial differential equations describing the longitudinal andtransversal vibrations of the belt. A two time-scalesperturbation method is then applied to approximate the solutionsof the problem. It will turn out that the frequencies of the belt speed fluctuations play an important role in the dynamic behaviourof the belt. It is well-known in linear systems that instabilitiescan occur if the frequency of the belt speed fluctuations is thesum of two natural frequencies. However, in the weakly nonlinearcase as considered in this paper this is no longer true. It turns out that the weak nonlinearity stabilizes the system.  相似文献

This paper presents an extension of a boundary element method to fatigue growth analysis of mixed-mode cracked plane elastic bodies. The method consists of the non-singular displacement discontinuity element presented by Crouch and Starfield and the crack-tip displacement discontinuity element due to the author. In the boundary element implementation the left or the right crack-tip element is placed locally at the corresponding left or right crack tip on top of non-singular displacement discontinuity elements that cover the entire crack surface and the other boundaries. Crack growth is simulated with an incremental crack extension analysis based on the modified maximum strain energy density criterion. In numerical simulation, for each increment of crack extension, remeshing of existing boundaries is not required because of an intrinsic feature of the boundary element method. Crack growth is simulated by adding new boundary elements on the incremental crack extension to the previous crack boundaries. At the same time, the element characters of some related elements are adjusted according to the manner in which the boundary element method is implemented. Some numerical results of fatigue growth in a plane elastic plate with a center-inclined crack under uniaxial cyclic loading are given.  相似文献
