In order to improve visible light photocatalytic activities of the nanometer TiO2, a novel and efficient Cr,S-codoped TiO2 (Cr-TiO2-S) photocatalyst was prepared by precipitation-doping method. The crystalline structure, morphology, particle size, and chemical structure of Cr-TiO2-S were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) techniques, respectively. Results indicate that the doping of Cr and S, cause absorption edge shifts to the visible light region (λ > 420 nm) compare to the pure TiO2, reduces average size of the TiO2 crystallites, enhances desired lattice distortion of Ti, promotes separation of photo-induced electron and hole pair, and thus improves pollutant decomposition under visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic activities of Cr-TiO2-S nanoparticles were evaluated using the photodegradation of methyl orange (MO) as probe reaction under the irradiation of UV and visible light and it was observed that the Cr-TiO2-S photocatalyst shows higher visible photocatalytic activity than the pure TiO2. The optimal Cr-TiO2-S concentration to obtain the highest photocatalytic activity was 5 mol% for both of Cr and S.  相似文献

The novel orthorhombic InVO4 nanofibers have been successfully synthesized by annealing electrospun precursor fibers. Citric acid was used as a ligand for it could react with metal salts to get a transparent homogeneous precursor solution and homogeneous precursor sol for electrospining. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP, K-30) was used as a binder and a structure guide reagent because it was one kind of water-soluble polymers. It is easy to gain one-dimensional materials while the viscosity of the citrate/PVP sol was suitable. The structure, morphology and photocatalytic properties of the nanofibers were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, UV-vis spectrophotometer and fluorescence spectrophotometer. The nanofibers calcined at 700 °C were orthorhombic InVO4 with a width in the range of 30-100 nm and length in micron-grade. This one-dimensional pure orthorhombic InVO4 had the higher photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation. The photo-degradation rate of nitrobenzene aqueous solution under visible light reached 69% after 6 h. It is obvious that the orthorhombic InVO4 nanofibers have a potential application in wastewater-treatment.  相似文献

The BiVO4-based photocatalysts loaded with rare earth (RE=Ho, Sm, Yb, Eu, Gd, Nd, Ce and La) were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), nitrogen adsorption for the BET specific surface area and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The photocatalytic activities of the samples were evaluated by decolorization of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The results of XRD, SEM and XPS analysis deduced that the rare earth ions were present as RE2O3 in the samples. The DRS analysis showed the shift in the absorbption edge from the UV to the visible range: Ho3+-BiVO4 < Sm3+-BiVO4 < Yb3+-BiVO4 < Eu3+-BiVO4 < Gd3+-BiVO4 < Nd3+-BiVO4 < La3+-BiVO4 < Ce3+-BiVO4 < BiVO4. Gd3+-BiVO4 had the highest photocatalytic activity among all the RE3+-BiVO4 catalysts. The optimal Gd content was 8 at% under visible light irradiation. This beneficial effect was attributed to the specific electron structure characteristics of gadolinium and the increasing in the separation efficiency of the electron-hole pairs. On the contrast, the other rare earth ions had the detrimental effect on the photocatalytic decolorization of MB.  相似文献

Novel graphitic carbon nitride (C3N4) and bismuth vanadate (BiVO4) composite photocatalysts were successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that an intimate interface between C3N4 and BiVO4 formed in the composites. Compared with the pure C3N4 and BiVO4, the C3N4–BiVO4 photocatalysts showed remarkably the higher photocatalytic activities in degrading rhodamine B (Rh B). The best active heterojunction proportion was 0.5C3N4–0.5BiVO4. Over this catalyst, the 100% degradation of Rh B (0.002 mmol L−1) was obtained under visible light irradiation (λ>420 nm) for 40 min. The active species in Rh B degradation were examined by adding a series of scavengers. The study on photocatalytic mechanism revealed that the electrons injected directly from the conduction band of C3N4 to that of BiVO4, resulting in the production of superoxide radical (O2•−) and hydroxyl radical (OH) in the conduction band of BiVO4. Simultaneously, the rich holes in the valence band of g-C3N4 oxidized Rh B directly to promote the photocatalytic degradation reaction.  相似文献

Increasing environmental pollution caused by the volatile organic compounds due to their toxicity makes their removal imperative. So it is crucial to develop processes which can degrade these compounds effectively. The paper demonstrates that the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 toward the decomposition of gaseous benzene in a batch reactor can be greatly enhanced by loading TiO2 onto the surface of CexZr1−xO2 (x ≥ 0.25) using sol-gel technology. This research investigated the relationship between x amount and the photocatalytic activity of TiO2. The prepared photocatalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, UV-vis diffuse reflectance and XPS analyses. The specific surface area of photocatalyst decreases as x decreases. XRD results reveal the no peaks of titania were detected. Among the five catalysts prepared, only the binding energy values of Ti2p3/2 of TiO2/Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 shift toward lower value. The order of photocatalytic activity is TiO2/Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 > TiO2/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 > TiO2/CeO2 ≈ TiO2/Ce0.25Zr0.75O2 > TiO2/ZrO2 ≈ TiO2. The mechanism role of Ceria-Zirconia mixed oxides in photocatalytic reaction was speculated.  相似文献

The nanocrystalline anatase TiO2, which was synthesized by a sol-hydrothermal process in advance, has successfully modified with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) in the acidic condition as well as in the basic condition. On the basis of the measurements of infrared spectrum and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of the resulting TiO2, together with the phase-transfer experiments, it is suggested that the modification mechanism in the acidic condition is closely related to Br. Interestingly, compared with un-modified TiO2, the modified TiO2 exhibits high photocatalytic activity for degrading Rhodamine B (RhB) solution, especially for that modified in the acid. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of modified TiO2 in the acid is attributed to the role that the Br can easily capture photo-induced holes and then form active Br, consequently effectively inducing photocatalytic oxidation reactions, based on the surface photovoltage responses of the resulting TiO2. After that, a one-pot sol-hydrothermal route at the temperature as low as 80 °C is developed to directly synthesize CTAB-modified nanocrystalline TiO2 with a little preferred growth along 〈0 0 1〉 direction, which can be easily dispersed in the organic system and possess good photocatalytic performance. This work provides a feasible strategy to further improve the photocatalytic performance of nanocrystalline anatase and to synthesize TiO2 nanocrystals with preferential growth.  相似文献

The Cu-TiO2 nanoparticles with different Cu dopant content were prepared by sol-gel method. The structure of the as-prepared catalysts and the surface species of Cu-TiO2 were determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and diffuse reflection spectroscopy (DRS). The relationship between the photocatalytic activity and the surface species of Cu-TiO2 was revealed via the measurement of surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS) as well as the degradation of the rhodamine B (RhB). The experimental results suggest that the Cu-TiO2 photocatalysts with appropriate content of Cu (about 0.06 mol%) possess abundant electronic trap, which effectively inhibits the recombination of photoinduced charge carriers, improving the photocatalytic activity of TiO2. While at high Cu dopant region (>0.06 mol%), the excessive oxygen vacancies and Cu species can become the recombination centers of photoinduced electrons and holes. Meanwhile, at heavy Cu doping concentration, excessive P-type Cu2O can cover the surface of TiO2, which leads to decrease in the photocatalytic activity of photocatalyst. The photocatalytic experimental results are in good agreement with the conclusions of SPS measurements, indicating that there is a close relationship between the photocatalytic activity and the intensity of SPS spectra.  相似文献

Porous TiO2 films were deposited on SiO2 pre-coated glass-slides by sol-gel method using octadecylamine (ODA) as template. The amount of ODA in the sol played an important role on the physicochemical properties and photocatalytic performance of the TiO2 films. The films prepared at different conditions were all composed of anatase titanium dioxide crystals, and TiO2 crystalline size got larger with increasing ODA amount. The maximum specific surface area of 41.5 m2/g was obtained for TiO2 powders prepared from titanium sol containing 2.0 g ODA. Methyl orange degradation rate was enhanced along with increasing ODA amount and reached the maximal value at 2.0 g addition of ODA. After 40 min of UV-light irradiation, methyl orange degradation rate reached 30.5% on the porous film, which was about 10% higher than that on the smooth film. Porous TiO2 film showed almost constant activity with slight decrease from 30.5% to 28.5% after 4 times of recycles.  相似文献

The novel visible-light-activated La/I/TiO2 nanocomposition photocatalyst was successfully synthesized using precipitation-dipping method, and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC) and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis DRS). The photocatalytic activity of La/I/TiO2 was evaluated by studying photodegradation of reactive blue 19 as a probe reaction under simulated sunlight irradiation. Photocatalytic experiment results showed that the maximum specific photocatalytic activity of the La/I/TiO2 photocatalyst appeared when the molar ratio of La/Ti was 2.0 at%, calcined at 350 °C for 2 h, due to the sample with good crystallization, high BET surface area and small crystal size. Under simulated sunlight irradiation, the degradation of reactive blue 19 aqueous solution reached 98.6% in 80 min, which showed La/I/TiO2 photocatalyst to be much higher photocatalytic activity compared to standard Degussa P25 photocatalyst. The higher visible light activity is due to the codoping of lanthanum and iodine.  相似文献

TiO2 thick films deposited on macroporous reticulated Al2O3 foams with pore size of 10 ppi and 15 ppi were prepared using dip coating from slurries of Aeroxide® P25 nanopowder and precipitated titania. All prepared films have sufficiently good adhesion to the surface of the substrate also in case of strongly cracked films. No measurable release of deposited TiO2 after repeated photocatalytic cycles was observed. The photocatalytic activity was characterized as the rate of mineralization of aqueous phenol solution under irradiation of UVA light by TOC technique. The best activity was obtained with Aeroxide® P25 coated Al2O3 foam with the pore size of 10 ppi, annealed at 600 °C. The optimal annealing temperature for preparation of films from precipitated titania could be determined at 700 °C. Films prepared by sol-gel deposition technique were considerably thinner compared to coatings made of suspensions and their photocatalytic activity was significantly smaller.  相似文献

TiO2 sol-gels with various Ag/TiO2 molar ratios from 0 to 0.9% were used to fabricate silver-modified nano-structured TiO2 thin films using a layer-by-layer dip-coating (LLDC) technique. This technique allows obtaining TiO2 nano-structured thin films with a silver hierarchical configuration. The coating of pure TiO2 sol-gel and Ag-modified sol-gel was marked as T and A, respectively. According to the coating order and the nature of the TiO2 sol-gel, four types of the TiO2 thin films were constructed, and marked as AT (bottom layer was Ag modified, surface layer was pure TiO2), TA (bottom layer was pure TiO2, surface layer was Ag modified), TT (pure TiO2 thin film) and AA (TiO2 thin film was uniformly Ag modified). These thin films were characterized by means of linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and transient photocurrent (Iph). LSV confirmed the existence of Ag0 state in the TiO2 thin film. SEM and XRD experiments indicated that the sizes of the TiO2 nanoparticles of the resulting films were in the order of TT > AT > TA > AA, suggesting the gradient Ag distribution in the films. The SEM and XRD results also confirmed that Ag had an inhibition effect on the size growth of anatase nanoparticles. Photocatalytic activities of the resulting thin films were also evaluated in the photocatalytic degradation process of methyl orange. The preliminary results demonstrated the sequence of the photocatalytic activity of the resulting films was AT > TA > AA > TT. This suggested that the silver hierarchical configuration can be used to improve the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 thin film.  相似文献

In this paper, WxTi1−xO2 solid solutions (x = 0.000, 0.005, 0.010, 0.015, and 0.020) microspheres were synthesized with an aerosol-assisted flow synthesis method. The resulting samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), nitrogen sorption, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum (DRS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The photocatalytic activities of the as-prepared catalysts were measured by the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 420 nm). All the solid solutions exhibited higher photocatalytic activities than pure TiO2 and the W0.015Ti0.985O2 solid solution possessed the highest photocatalytic activity. The degradation constant of RhB on W0.015Ti0.985O2 solid solution catalyst was about 15 times of that of the pure TiO2 and 25 times of that of Degussa P25, respectively. This study provides an effective method to prepare visible light photocatalysts on a large scale.  相似文献

The effect of N2 treatment on the photocatalytic activity of Pt0/TiO2 was investigated. The results showed that after treatment at 500 °C in N2, 70% of the photocatalytic activity of 1.0 wt.% Pt0/TiO2 was lost by the evaluation of photocatalytic oxidation reaction of C3H6. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Ar+ ion sputtering tests revealed that in the course of high-temperature N2 treatment, the size of Pt0 particles on TiO2 increases and a strong interaction between metal and support, i.e. Pt0 particles encapsulated by TixOy, happens, which are the reasons for the deactivation of Pt0/TiO2 photocatalyst treated by high-temperature N2.  相似文献

In the present work, nano-calcium carbonate powder was prepared by micropore dispersion method with assistance of oleic acid as surfactant. CO2 gas was dispersed into the Ca(OH)2/H2O slurry via a glass micropore-plate with the diameter of micropore about 20 μm. To investigate the effect of oleic acid on the size of CaCO3 particles, different amount of oleic acid was added in Ca(OH)2/H2O slurry at 5 °C and 25 °C, respectively. XRD patterns show that cubic calcite is the only crystalline phase in all cases. ZPA data and TEM photo indicate that the average particle size synthesized at 5 °C without oleic acid is of about 40 nm, slightly smaller than that of prepared at 25 °C, and that the dispersity of sample prepared at 5 °C is better than that of 25 °C. When oleic acid is added in both temperatures, the average particle size decreases a little. FT-IR spectra demonstrate that oleic acid interacts with Ca2+ and carbon-carbon double bond existed on the surface of particle. Consequently, two opposite roles of oleic acid during the process of preparation of nano-CaCO3 were proposed, namely preventing nanoparticles from growing during reaction and making nanoparticles reunite to a certain extent after reaction.  相似文献

Vermiculite was treated by sulfuric or nitric acid aqueous solutions with different concentration. These modified materials as the promising supports, were used to immobilize TiO2. TiO2 was prepared by the precursor, which was obtained by substituting partly isopropyl alcohol with Cl in titanium chloride {[Ti(IV)(OR)nClm] (n = 2-3, m = 4 − n)}. The TiO2/vermiculite composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and the nitrogen absorption. Their photocatalytic activity was evaluated by removal of methylene blue (MB). The pure anatase type crystalline phase was well deposited on the supports. The concentrations of acid for treatment had a significant influence on pore sizes and surface area of vermiculite. The treatment process changed microstructure of vermiculite, modified its characteristics, and farther improved the catalytic activity and absorption capacity of TiO2/vermiculite composites. The treatment effect of nitric acid was superior to that of sulfuric acid.  相似文献

The Ag+/BiVO4 photocatalyst was fabricated through a facile hydrothermal method by using K6V10O28·9H2O as the vanadium source. The impact of Ag+ on the product's structure and morphology was studied. It was shown that the amount of Ag+ has no effect on the product’s crystal phases but plays an important role on the morphology of the nanoparticles that construct the shell of BiVO4 microspheres. In addition, the Ag+-doped photocatalysts have much higher photocatalytic activities in removing RhB and MB under the UV light illumination than the pure BiVO4. A possible photocatalytic mechanism was proposed in photoexcitation of the BiVO4 electrons which subsequently captured by the dopant. The present work may offer a novel route to reach higher photocatalytic activity by doping the Ag+ in the semiconductor catalysts.  相似文献

The anatase-TiO2 transparent films, containing 3 mol% of Si and P elements (as dopants), were synthesized using a process combining the sol-gel method and spin-coating technique. Effects of relative ratio of dopants and calcination temperature on phase transformation, grain growth, surface morphology, light transmittance, band-gap energy and photocatalytic activity of the P/Si-TiO2 films were examined and their results were compared with those of the undoped-TiO2 and Si-TiO2 films. The P/Si-TiO2 films calcined at temperature between 600 and 900 °C adhered strongly to the surface of fused-silica substrate and were composed of anatase-TiO2 monophase. The photocatalytic activities of the films were measured and represented using a characteristic time constant (τ) for the methylene blue (MB) photodegradation. The small τ stands for high photocatalytic ability of the film. The P/Si-TiO2 film, containing equalmolar Si and P dopants, calcined at 800 °C gave the best performance in photocatalysis; this film had τ=5.7 h and decomposed about 90 mole% of MB in the water after 12 h of the 365-nm UV light irradiation.  相似文献

BiVO4 nanoparticles are prepared by molten salt method. Tetragonal BiVO4 completely transforms to monoclinic phase after heating in molten LiNO3 at 270 °C for 18 h. The average particle sizes of monoclinic BiVO4 varied from 30 to 52 nm while the initial ratio of BiVO4 to LiNO3 changes from 1:6 to 1:24. The photocatalytic activity is evaluated by measuring decolorization of N,N,N′,N′-tetraethylated rhodamine dye solution under visible-light irradiation. Both of the de-ethylation and chromophore cleavage are responsible for the decolorization of RB. The sample with an average particle size of 52 nm and a moderate surface area of 10 m2/g exhibit the highest visible-light photocatalytic activity. The shift of Raman peak position indicates that the symmetry distortions in the local structure of the monoclinic BiVO4. The variations of the local structure result in the modification of the electronic structure, which is responsible for the high visible-light photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

Blue phosphors Ca1 − xAl2O4: xEu2+ were prepared by high temperature solid-state method. Their structure, morphology and luminescent properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and fluorescence spectroscopy. The effect of different amounts of fluxing agent H3BO3 on structure, morphology and luminescent properties of blue phosphors Ca1 − xAl2O4: xEu2+ luminous intensity caused by different amount of H3BO3 was also investigated. The amount of H3BO3 doped Ca1 − xAl2O4: xEu2+ in optimal luminous intensity had been determined. The results showed that both the excitation and emission spectra of samples were all broad bands, and that the peak of emission spectra was near 442 nm, which was corresponding to the 4f65d → 4f7 transition of Eu2+ illuminating blue light. Ca1 − xAl2O4: xEu2+ (x = 3.5 mol%) could be gained with good morphology and the best luminous intensity when H3BO3 mass ratio was 0.5 wt%.  相似文献

The mesoporous N, S-codoped TiO2(B) nanobelts are synthesized via hydrothermal synthesis and post-treatment, and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), N2 adsorption-desorption measurements (BET), X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS), and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS). The results show that the prepared samples are mesoporous structured and exhibit stronger absorption in the visible light region with red shift in the absorption edge. The photocatalytic activity of N, S-codoped mesoporous TiO2(B) nanobelts is evaluated by the photocatalytic photodegradation of potassium ethyl xanthate (KEX) under visible light irradiation. It is found that the photocatalytic activity of the prepared samples increases with increasing the molar ratio of thiourea to Ti (R). At R = 3, the photocatalytic activity of the N, S-codoped TiO2(B) sample TBLTS-3 reaches a maximum value. With further increasing R, the photocatalytic activity of the sample decreases. The high photocatalytic activity of N, S-codoped TiO2(B) nanobelts can be attributed to the balance between strong absorption in visible light region and low recombination rate of electron/hole pairs.  相似文献
