The attenuation of 660 MHz surface acoustic waves propagating in a thin film of Nb3Sn 5000 Å thick has been measured as a function of temperature from 4.2 K to 16 K. The A 15 Nb3Sn, electron-beam codeposited on YZ lithium niobate and annealed at 700°C, was studied using 5.1 μm wavelength interdigital electrodes. The film revealed a transition temperature of 14.2 ± 0.1 K and using the BCS theory, an energy gap 2Δ(0) = 3.5 kBTc.  相似文献

Interference measurements of small variations in the velocity and attenuation of surface acoustic waves (SAWs) are used to investigate water layers up to 15 nm thick adsorbed on the surface of a lithium niobate crystal. The frequency dependence of the relative variation of the SAW velocity with the adsorption of water vapor is measured in the range from 40 to 400 MHz. Acoustic techniques are used to experimentally estimate the frequency dependence of the dielectric constant of adsorbed water and its dipole relaxation frequency along with the dependence of the adsorption layer thickness on the water vapor pressure in the surrounding medium. A simple expression is proposed for calculating the dispersion of the SAW velocity in a solid loaded with a thin liquid layer.  相似文献

An electric-field poling process was established that yielded uniform periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) in 0.5 mm thick lithium niobate substrate. We have fabricated 50 mm long fanned as well as multigrating PPLNs having period variations from 25 μm to 32 μm. These PPLNs are required for quasi-phase-matched (QPM) optical parametric oscillator (OPO) applications. We have also configured a bench-top OPO set-up based on these PPLNs.  相似文献

Lithium niobate is praised as silicon in nonlinear optics for its wide usage both in fundamental science and applications in optics. But its photorefractive effect hinders it from more extensive application in optics. The deadlock has been broken by doping some metallic elements such as magnesium into the congruent lithium niobate crystal for its high damage resistance. The single-shot and multi-shot surface ablation experiments by femotosecond laser with the wavelength of 800 nm and the duration of 80 fs were conducted in the same condition and the ablation threshold fluence was gained for congruent lithium niobate crystal and 6 mol % Mg-doped lithium niobate crystal. The band gap widening after doping is responsible for the discrepancy of the ablation thresholds between the two samples. The laser threshold fluence dependence of lasershot number demonstrates the difference of the accumulation effect. The large reduction of trapping cross section for electrons after heavy doping of magnesium is focused more to interpret this distinction.  相似文献

The damage threshold of lithium niobate crystal under single and multiple femtosecond laser pulses has been studied theoretically and experimentally. Firstly, the model for the damage threshold prediction of crystal materials based on the improved rate equation has been proposed. Then, the experimental measure method of the damage threshold of crystal materials has been given in detail. On the basis, the variation of the damage threshold of lithium niobate crystal with the pulse duration has also been analyzed quantitatively. Finally, the damage threshold of lithium niobate crystal under multiple laser pulses has been measured and compared to the theoretical results. The results show that the transmittance of lithium niobate crystal is almost a constant when the laser pulse fluence is relative low, whereas it decreases linearly with the increase in the laser pulse fluence below the damage threshold. The damage threshold of lithium niobate crystal increases with the increase in the duration of the femtosecond laser pulse. And the damage threshold of lithium niobate crystal under multiple laser pulses is obviously lower than that irradiated by a single laser pulse. The theoretical data fall in good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

A detailed theoretical analysis of the optical properties of periodically poled crystals of lithium niobate for optical parametric oscillation with excitation at 1 μm is presented. Crystals of congruent lithium niobate with and without MgO-doping are considered. The choice of materials, their basic optical properties, quasi-phasematching and wavelength tuning ranges, as well as dispersive effects are discussed. These results provide a useful roadmap for the construction of optical parametric oscillators and generators operating in the ultrashort pulse regime with excitation at 1 μm.  相似文献

The formation of periodic domain structures in stoichiometric lithium niobate crystals via direct surface irradiation using a controllable electron beam in a scanning electron microscope is studied. The periodic domain structures are fabricated at different microscope parameters (current, voltage, charge density) and different ways of charge implantation. The irradiation modes for the formation of uniform periodic domain structures are experimentally found. The use of optimal electron-beam parameters and ways of crystal surface irradiation make it possible to fabricate domain structures with a period of 6.9 μm in a crystal 0.5 mm thick. Domain structures of this kind can be used for optical wavelength conversion by quasi-phase-matching and second harmonic generation in lithium niobate.  相似文献

A broadband acoustic matching of a piezoelectric transducer made of a lithium niobate crystal with an acousto-optic TeO2 crystal has been studied. The transducer is acoustically attached to the crystal by the method of adhesive contact. The experimental method of creating a piezoelectric transducer with an acoustic matching layer from a tin film is developed. The conditions of the optimal technological regime when applying the matching layer are determined. The results of the research are used in creating a broadband high-performance deflector with a central ultrasound frequency of 37 MHz, with the frequency band scanning more than 30 MHz, and a diffraction efficiency of about 90% at a wavelength of 1.06 μm.  相似文献

It has been shown recently that shear horizontal acoustic waves propagating in piezoelectric plates whose thickness h is much less than the acoustic wavelength λ possess a number of attractive properties for use in sensor and signal processing applications. In order to exploit the potential benefits of these waves, however, one needs to fabricate devices on very thin plates. We have developed a suitable fabrication method which can be used to realize devices on such thin plates. In this method, the device is first fabricated on a plate of normal thickness (approximately 500 μm) and the substrate is then lapped from the back side to reduce the thickness. The technique has been utilized to realize devices on plates of thickness less than 70 μm. A shear horizontal plate acoustic wave (SH-PAW) delay line of fundamental resonant frequency greater than 25 MHz and insertion loss less than 7 dB has been realized on a 60 μm thick Y – cut, X – propagation lithium niobate substrate. The device also shows strong response near the third harmonic frequency of 75 MHz.  相似文献

Paper is devoted to the investigation of SH(0) acoustic waves propagating in structure "piezoelectric plate-polymeric nanocomposite film". The analysis was carried out by the example of the polymeric nanocomposite film based on high-pressure polyethylene with various contents of CdS nanoparticles and lithium tantalate and lithium niobate plate. The resonant attenuation of investigated waves for the certain ratios of plate and film thicknesses was found. The obtained results open the prospects of the development of structures for SH(0) waves consisting of nanocomposite polymeric substrates and thin piezoelectric plates. Such structures may be useful for development of various thermostable chemical and biological sensors and signal processing devices.  相似文献

We have used the method of successive approximations to solve the problem of exciting bulk elastic waves from the surfaces of piezoelectric materials with 3m symmetry. In the approximation of a given electric field created by a two-electrode transducer on the surface of a piezoelectric sample, we found the displacement distribution of acoustic modes excited by the transducer. We determined the parameters for an equivalent circuit of a two-electrode transmitter, taking into account piezo additions and losses during the transformation for the surface piezotransducer deposited on 135o Y-cut lithium niobate. We show that it is possible to use surface transducers in acousto-optic modulators in the UHF region.  相似文献

基于掺MgO周期极化铌酸锂晶体的光学参量振荡器是一种全固态中红外可调谐相干光源.泵浦源为1064 nm声光调Q Nd:YAG激光器.通过温度调谐实现了中红外可调谐参量光的输出,当晶体的温度从40°C升高到200°C时,获得信号光的输出范围为1.561 μm~1.670μm,空闲光的调谐范围为3.342 μm~2.932 μm.当泵浦源脉宽为70 ns,重复频率为10 kHz,平均功率为.161 W,获得波长为1631μm.当泵浦源脉宽为70 ns,重复频率为10 kHz,平均功率为1.61 W,获得波长为1631 nm信号光的输出功率为21 1 mW.  相似文献

采用外加电场极化方式对具有扇形光栅的 0 .5mm厚Z切铌酸锂晶体进行极化反转 ,制成了退火质子交换光波导。极化反转周期为 5 .8μm~ 6 .2 μm ,采用Nd∶YAG激光器输出的 1.0 6 4 μm连续激光为基频光波 ,实现了0 .5 32 μm倍频绿光输出 ,相互作用长度为 4mm ,耦入波导的基频光波功率为 10mW ,获得了 2 0 μW的绿色倍频光输出 ,归一化转换效率为 12 5 % (W·cm2 )。  相似文献

The variations of the electroacoustic parameters (Q factor, electromechanical coupling coefficient, and capacitance) of lithium niobate piezoelectric transducers with increasing high-frequency excitation voltage are studied experimentally. The relative acoustic strain is found to reach a maximum of about 10?4 in the frequency range from 2 to 3 MHz. The Q factor of the transducers may increase by 100% in the range of acoustic strains studied. This increase is accompanied with acoustic emission. The reason for this effect is the block structure of the lithium niobate crystal.  相似文献

稳定同位素比值的测量在地质学、气象学和地球科学的研究中具有重要的应用价值。水汽同位素丰度的测量对理解与干旱相关的同温层大气科学具有重要的意义。水汽分子在2.7 μm附近具有较强的吸收,适宜于高灵敏度光谱的测量。文章报道了利用差频技术(Difference frequency generation)和准相位匹配技术(Quasi-phase matching),将调谐范围在750~840 nm之间的连续可调谐钛宝石激光器和单频连续的Nd∶YAG激光器,耦合到周期性极化铌酸锂非线性光学晶体中,产生2.5~4 μm波段的中红外可调谐激光。选择周期为20 μm的PPLN晶体,产生2.7 μm附近的中红外差频激光,利用差频产生的中红外激光光源,具有窄线宽、宽调谐等优点。结合光程为100 m的Herriott型多通吸收池,采用直接吸收光谱方法测量了实验室大气中的水汽分子同位素,得到了同位素比值R及17O,18O,D的丰度值δ,实验所测R值与国际标准具有很好的一致性。  相似文献
