Convenient way to 5‐substituted 4‐amino‐2,3‐dihydro‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3‐thiones

Various 4‐amino‐2,3‐dihydro‐4H‐triazoles with aromatic, aliphatic and heterocyclic substituents at the C(5) position were synthesized from corresponding esters and thiocarbohydrazide. This method allows the synthesis these heterocycles in a short time and at reduced expenses.     

Synthesis and photochemical properties of trans‐2‐(2‐aryl‐ or heteroarylvinyl)‐4,5‐dichloropyridazin‐3(2H)‐ones

trans‐2‐(2‐Aryl‐ or heteroarylvinyl)‐4,5‐dichloropyridazin‐3(2H)‐ones 3 were synthesized from 4,5‐dichloropyridazin‐3(2H)‐one via 2 step. The photochemical behavior of 3 in THF, methylene chloride, acetonitrile and methanol is dependent on the kind of aryl or heterocyclic ring and the solvent polarity     

A new convenient synthesis of 2,4‐disubstituted‐1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐a] quinazolin‐5(4H)‐ones

A novel series of 2,4‐disubstituted‐1,2,4‐triazolo[1,5‐a]quinazolin‐5(4H)‐ones were prepared by Dimroth rearrangement of their respective isomers namely 1,4‐disubstituted‐[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3‐a]‐quinazolin‐5(4H)‐ones. The latter were prepared via new synthetic strategy based on 1,5‐elecrocyclization of the respective N‐(4‐oxo‐3‐phenylquinazolin‐2‐yl)nitrilimines.     

Synthesis of a novel class of 3‐(2′‐benzothiazolyl)‐2,3‐dihydroquinazolin‐4(1H)‐ones under solvent‐free and catalyst‐free conditions

A solvent‐ and catalyst‐free one‐pot three‐component condensation reaction approach was developed for the synthesis of a new class of 3‐(2′‐benzothiazolyl)‐2,3‐dihydroquinazolin‐4(1H)‐ones in relatively good yields.     

Synthesis of novel 3,5,7‐triaryl‐5,6‐dihydro‐4h‐1,2,5‐triazepines

Several hitherto unknown 3,5,7‐triaryl‐5,6‐dihydro‐4H‐1,2,5‐triazepines have been synthesised by cyclocondensation of N,N‐bis(phenacyl)anilines with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol or ethyleneglycol under reflux condition. Increased yields were obtained in the presence of p‐toluenesulfonic acid compared to the uncatalysed reaction.     

Transformations of phenylhydrazones of 5‐acyl‐1,2,4‐triazines to pyrazolo[4,3‐e][1,2,4]triazines or 4‐cyanopyrazole

A simple and high yielding preparation of pyrazolo[4,3‐e][1,2,4]triazines and 4‐cyano‐3‐methyl‐1‐phenylpyrazole derivatives from corresponding phenylhydrazones of 5‐acyl‐1,2,4‐triazines by melt under acidic medium and by thermal heating, respectively.     

A facile regioselective synthesis of (5‐amino‐4‐cyano‐1h‐imidazol‐1‐yl) benzoic acids

A simple and efficient method was developped for the synthesis of 3‐(5‐amino‐4‐cyano‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)‐4‐substituted benzoic acids 3 . These compounds were isolated by intramolecular cyclisation of the corresponding 3‐{[(Z)‐2‐amino‐1,2‐dicyano‐vinyl]amino}methyleneaminobenzoic acids in the presence of base.     

A convenient synthesis of novel 1,3,4‐triaryl‐3,4‐dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones by cyclization of aromatic isocyanates with β‐arylamino‐1‐phenylpropan‐1‐ones

A simple one‐step method for preparation of novel 1,3,4‐triaryl‐3,4‐dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones has been developed by reaction of aromatic isocyanates with β‐arylamino‐1‐phenylpropan‐1‐ones in refluxing toluene in the presence of KHSO₄ and HCl.     

Microwave assisted synthesis of novel 6,7,8‐trimethoxy N‐substituted‐4‐aminoquinazoline compounds

A fast, efficient and convenient reaction of 6,7,8‐trimethoxy‐4‐chloroquinazoline and aryl (or benzyl) amines was achieved under microwave irradiation in isopropyl alcohol, providing a simple method for synthesis of novel 6,7,8‐trimethoxy N‐substituted‐4‐aminoquinazoline compounds in good yield in short time. The title compounds were evaluated for their in vitro anti‐proliferative activities against PC3 cell by MTT method.     

An efficient synthesis of new pyrido[4′,3′:4,5]thieno[2,3‐d]‐pyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one derivatives

The carbodiimides 5 , obtained from reactions of iminophosphorane 4 with aromatic isocyanates, reacted with amines, phenols or ROH to give 2‐substituted 5,6,7,8‐tetrahydropyrido[4′,3′:4,5]thieno[2,3‐d]‐pyrimidin‐4(3H)‐one 7 in the presence of catalytic amount of sodium alkoxide or solid potassium carbonate in satisfactory yields.     

Synthesis of new derivatives of thieno[2,3‐b]pyridine fused with octyl ring

Derivatives of thiophene, thieno[2,3‐b]pyridine, thieno[5′,4′:4,5]pyrimido[3,2‐a]pyridine and thiepine fused with octyl ring have been synthesized and tested for antimicrobial and antifungal activities. The structure of the newly synthesized compounds have been established on the basis of their analytical and spectral data.     

Application of the acetate of baylis‐hillman adducts of salicylaldehydes in the synthesis of methyl 2‐oxo‐2,3‐dihydrobenzo[b]oxepine‐4‐carboxylates

A simple synthesis of several methyl 2‐oxo‐2,3‐dihydrobenzo[b]oxepine‐4‐carboxylates from Baylis‐Hillman adducts of O‐benzyl protected 2‐hydroxybenzadehydes has been described through the acetylation, cyanation, debenzylation, as well as acid assisted Pinner cyclization.
