Synthesis of some 3‐aryl‐1H‐isochromene‐1‐thiones

A rapid microwave‐accelerated thionation of some 3‐substitued isocoumarins to corresponding 1‐thio‐isocoumarins was achieved employing Lawesson's reagent under solventless conditions.     

A facile regioselective synthesis of (5‐amino‐4‐cyano‐1h‐imidazol‐1‐yl) benzoic acids

A simple and efficient method was developped for the synthesis of 3‐(5‐amino‐4‐cyano‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)‐4‐substituted benzoic acids 3 . These compounds were isolated by intramolecular cyclisation of the corresponding 3‐{[(Z)‐2‐amino‐1,2‐dicyano‐vinyl]amino}methyleneaminobenzoic acids in the presence of base.     

Progress in the chemistry of 4‐ thiazolidinones

This review article includes a recent development in the chemistry of 4‐thiazolidinones. Structure, basicity, synthetic aspects, reactions, and applications were also reported.     

1,2,4‐Diazaphospholide Complexes of Tin(II): From Nitride Stannylene to Stannylenated Ammonium Ions

Tin knows its oniums! An unusual nitride tetrastannylene and a stannylenated ammonium ion stabilized by a samarium tetradiazaphospholido counterion are the first examples of a tris(organostannylenyl)amine derivative and a divalent tin coordinate onium ion that incorporates 1,2,4‐diazaphospholide ligand (see figure).

An efficient synthesis of highly substituted pyrrole and bis pyrrole derivatives is reported.     

A rapid and efficient method for synthesis of pyrimido[1,2‐a]‐benzimidazole derivatives under microwave irradiation

A rapid and efficient method for synthesis pyrimido[1,2‐a]benzimidazole derivatives from readily available starting materials is accomplished under microwave irradiation. This method has the advantages of short reaction time, operational simplicity, increased safety for small‐scale high‐speed synthesis, and minimal environment impact.     

Microwave induced efficient synthesis of (un)substituted benzaldehyde (5‐aryl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazol‐2‐yl)hydrazones using silica‐supported dichlorophosphate as a recoverable dehydrant

(Un)substituted benzaldehyde (5‐aryl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazol‐2‐yl)hydrazones were efficiently synthesized by reactions of (un)substituted benzaldehyde thiocarbohydrazones with aromatic carboxylic acids by using silica‐supported dichlorophosphate as a recoverable dehydrant under microwave irradiation. The protocol has advantages of short reaction time, high yield, easy work‐up procedure and no environmental pollution.     

Cycloaddition reactions of phthalimide substituted cyclic polyenes with heteroatom dienophiles

The cycloaddition of 6‐phthalimidobicyclo[5.1.0]octa‐2,4‐diene and 7‐phthalimido‐1,3,5‐cycloheptatriene with nitrosobenzene and with 4‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐triazoline‐3,5‐dione each gave a single heterocyclic product. X‐ray crystallographic analysis of 8a indicated the regio‐ and stereoselectivity of this cycloaddition.     

Convenient way to 5‐substituted 4‐amino‐2,3‐dihydro‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazole‐3‐thiones

Various 4‐amino‐2,3‐dihydro‐4H‐triazoles with aromatic, aliphatic and heterocyclic substituents at the C(5) position were synthesized from corresponding esters and thiocarbohydrazide. This method allows the synthesis these heterocycles in a short time and at reduced expenses.     

Synthesis of substituted 3‐pyrrolidinecarbonitriles

Cyclopropanes substituted at the same ring carbon by two electron‐withdrawing groups such as alkoxycarbonyl or cyano group react with the primary arylamines via a ring‐opening reaction and ensuing intramolecular cyclization to form substituted pyrrolidines.
