We report a successful approach in fabricating well shape two‐dimensional Au nanocluster hexagonal array on an Si(111)‐7 × 7 surface. The size of Au hexagons is about 2.5 × 2.5 nm2. The easiness of preparing large scale Au hexagonal array makes this approach usable to fabricate a wide range of other metal nanocluster arrays. Further deposition of small amount of Au nanoclusters on the Au hexagonal array surface will prefer to occupy the holes of the hexagonal array at room temperature. Finally, a reasonable structure of formatting the hexagonal Au nanocluster array on the Si(111)‐7 × 7 surface was proposed. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The adsorption of 1,1‐diamino‐2,2‐dinitroethylene (FOX‐7) molecule on the Al(111) surface was investigated by the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) of density functional theory (DFT). The calculations employ a supercell (4×4×2) slab model and three‐dimensional periodic boundary conditions. The strong attractive forces between oxygen and aluminum atoms induce the N? O bond breaking of the FOX‐7. Subsequently, the dissociated oxygen atoms and radical fragment of FOX‐7 oxidize the Al surface. The largest adsorption energy is ?940.5 kJ/mol. Most of charge transfer is 3.31e from the Al surface to the fragment of FOX‐7 molecule. We also investigated the adsorption and decomposition mechanism of FOX‐7 molecule on the Al(111) surface. The activation energy for the dissociation steps of P2 con?guration is as large as 428.8 kJ/mol, while activation energies of other con?gurations are much smaller, in range of 2.4 to 147.7 kJ/mol.  相似文献

To obtain a hydrogel‐like elastic membrane, we prepared semi‐interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) by the radical polymerization of methacrylates such as 2‐methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC), 2‐hydroxyethylmethacrylate, and triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate diffused into segmented polyurethane (SPU) membranes swollen with a monomer mixture. The values of Young's modulus for the hydrated semi‐IPN membranes were less than that for an SPU membrane because of higher hydration, but they were much higher than that for a hydrated MPC polymer gel (non‐SPU). According to a thermal analysis, the MPC polymer influenced the segment association of SPU. The diffusion coefficient of 8‐anilino‐1‐naphthalenesulfonic acid sodium salt from the semi‐IPN membrane could be controlled with different MPC unit concentrations in the membrane, and it was about 7 × 102 times higher than that of the SPU membrane. Fibroblast cell adhesion on the semi‐IPN membrane was effectively reduced by the MPC units. We concluded that semi‐IPNs composed of the MPC polymer and SPU may be novel polymer materials possessing attractive mechanical, diffusive‐release, and nonbiofouling properties. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Electrostatic interactions within a semi‐interpenetrating network (semi‐IPN) gel can control the postsynthesis loading, long‐term retention, and subsequent release of small‐molecule cationic antibiotics. Here, electrostatic charge is introduced into an otherwise neutral gel [poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)] by physically entrapping high‐molecular‐weight poly(acrylic acid) (PAA). The network structure is characterized by small‐angle neutron scattering. PEG/PAA semi‐IPN gels absorb over 40 times more antibiotic than PAA‐free PEG gels. Subsequent soaking in physiological buffer (pH 7.4; 0.15 M NaCl) releases the loaded antibiotics for periods as long as 30 days. The loaded gels elute antibiotics with diffusivities of 4.46 × 10?8 cm2/s (amikacin) and 2.08 × 10?8 cm2/s (colistin), which are two orders of magnitude less than those in pure PEG gels where diffusion is controlled purely by gel tortuosity. The release and hindered diffusion can be understood based on the partial shielding of the charged groups within the loaded gel, and they have a significant effect on the antimicrobial properties of these gels. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In situ scanning tunneling microscopy combined with density functional theory molecular dynamics simulations reveal a complex structure for the self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) of racemic 2‐butanethiol on Au(111) in aqueous solution. Six adsorbate molecules occupy a (10×√3)R30° cell organized as two RSAuSR adatom‐bound motifs plus two RS species bound directly to face‐centered‐cubic and hexagonally close‐packed sites. This is the first time that these competing head‐group arrangements have been observed in the same ordered SAM. Such unusual packing is favored as it facilitates SAMs with anomalously high coverage (30 %), much larger than that for enantiomerically resolved 2‐butanethiol or secondary‐branched butanethiol (25 %) and near that for linear‐chain 1‐butanethiol (33 %).  相似文献

Acetonitrile and [FXeOXe‐ ‐ ‐FXeF][AsF6] react at ?60 °C in anhydrous HF (aHF) to form the CH3CN adduct of the previously unknown [XeOXe]2+ cation. The low‐temperature X‐ray structure of [CH3CN‐ ‐ ‐XeOXe‐ ‐ ‐NCCH3][AsF6]2 exhibits a well‐isolated adduct‐cation that has among the shortest Xe?N distances obtained for an sp‐hybridized nitrogen base adducted to xenon. The Raman spectrum was fully assigned by comparison with the calculated vibrational frequencies and with the aid of 18O‐enrichment studies. Natural bond orbital (NBO), atoms in molecules (AIM), electron localization function (ELF), and molecular electrostatic potential surface (MEPS) analyses show that the Xe?O bonds are semi‐ionic whereas the Xe?N bonds may be described as strong electrostatic (σ‐hole) interactions.  相似文献

A structurally novel compound was isolated as the main product of tandem Pechmann–dehydration between diethyl 4‐hydroxy‐4‐methyl‐2‐(4′‐nitrophenyl)‐6‐oxocyclohexane‐1,3‐dicarboxylate ( 1 ) and resorcinol in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid. The structure of the product was determined as a racemate of (7R,8R)‐ and (7S,8S)‐ethyl 7,8‐dihydro‐3‐hydroxy‐9‐methyl‐7‐(4′‐nitrophenyl)‐6H‐dibenzo[c]‐pyran‐6‐one‐8‐carboxylate ( 3a ) enantiomers by single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The X‐ray crystal structure revealed that 3a possesses an extended and more stable conjugated aromatic system as a consequence of the stereoselectivity of intramolecular dehydration behavior of Pechmann condensation product 2 . In the crystal superstructure, the (7R,8R)‐ and (7S,8S)‐isomers of 3a respectively self‐assembled into left‐ and right‐handed supramolecular helical chains with a channel size of 3.70 Å × 10.20 Å in virtue of intermolecular hydrogen bonding together with dramatic twisting between carboxylate group at C8 and tricyclic ring framework of 3a , which are then arranged alternatively along the b‐axis direction with a pitch length of 7.894 Å.  相似文献

The authors aimed to investigate the diffusion of Cu monomer, dimer and trimer on Ag (110) (1×2) missing‐row surface. This problem is addressed through molecular dynamic simulation based on semi‐empirical many‐body potential, derived from the embedded atom method. Within this approach, we have identified and calculated the activation energy of each microscopic mechanism. Thus, for Cu monomer, the diffusion process occurs essentially by simple hopping between nearest‐neighbor sites. While for the Cu dimer, three processes have been identified such as dissociation–reassociation (DR), concerted jump (CJ) and leapfrog mechanisms (LF) with a slight predominance of DR process and a dual competition between CJ and LF processes. But, in the case of small one‐dimensional cluster such as trimer on (110)(1×2) missing‐row reconstructed surface, the main diffusion mechanism is the LF process. These results shed light on the diffusion processes on missing‐row reconstructed surfaces, especially for heterogeneous systems. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of group 4 metallocenes (RCp)[Cp―(bridge)―(2‐C4H3S)]MCl2 [M = Ti ( C1 , C2 , C3 , C4 ); M = Zr ( C5 , C6 , C7 , C8 )] bearing a pendant thiophene group on a cyclopentadienyl ring have been synthesized, characterized and tested as catalyst precursors for ethylene polymerization. The molecular structures of representative titanocenes C2 and C4 were confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction and revealed that both complexes exist in an expected coordination environment for a monomeric bent metallocene. No intramolecular coordination between the thiophene group and the titanium center could be observed in the solid state. Upon activation by methylaluminoxane (MAO), titanocenes C1 , C2 , C3 , C4 showed moderate catalytic activities and produced high‐ or ultra‐high‐molecular‐weight polyethylene (Mv 70.5–227.1 × 104 g mol?1). Titanocene C3 is more active and long‐lived, with a lifetime of nearly 9 h at 30 °C. At elevated temperatures of 80–110 °C, zirconocenes C5 , C6 , C7 , C8 displayed high catalytic activities (up to 27.6 × 105 g PE (mol Zr)?1 h?1), giving high‐molecular‐weight polyethylene (Mv 11.2–53.7 × 104 g mol?1). A series of 1‐(2,6‐dibenzhydryl‐4‐fluorophenylimino)‐ 2‐aryliminoacenaphthylene derivatives ( L1–L5 ) and their halonickel complexes LNiX2 (X = Br, Ni1–Ni5 ; X = Cl, Ni6–Ni10 ) are synthesized and well characterized. The molecular structures of representative complexes Ni2 and Ni4 are confirmed as the distorted tetrahedron geometry around nickel atom by the single crystal X‐ray diffraction. Upon activation with methylaluminoxane, all nickel complexes show high activities up to 1.49 × 107 g of PE (mol of Ni)?1 h?1 toward ethylene polymerization, producing polyethylenes with high branches and molecular weights up to 1.62 × 106 g mol?1 as well as narrow polydispersity. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The construction, performance, and applications of a novel ytterbium(III) sensor based on N‐(2‐pyridyl)‐N′‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)‐thiourea (PMT), as an excellent carrier, in plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) PVC matrix, is described. The influences of membrane composition and pH on the potentiometric response of the sensor were investigated. The sensor exhibits a nice Nernstian response for Yb(III) ion over a wide concentration range of 4 decades of concentration (1.0×10?6–1.0×10?2 M), and a detection limit of 5.0×10?7 M. The response time of the electrodes is between 8 and 10 s, depending on the concentration of ytterbium(III) ions. The proposed sensor can be used for about 8 weeks without any considerable divergence in potential. The sensor revealed very good selectivity for Yb(III) in the presence of several metal ions. The best performance was observed for the membrane containing; 30% PVC, 59% o‐nitrophenyloctyl ether (NPOE) as solvent mediator, 7% PMT, and 4% sodium tetraphenyl borate (NaTPB). It was successfully applied as indicator electrodes in the potentiometric titration of Yb(III) with EDTA and for the determination of fluoride ion in two mouth wash formulations. The proposed La(III) sensor was found to work well under laboratory conditions. It was also used as an indicator electrode in titration of a 1.0×10?4 M of Yb(III) with a standard EDTA solution (1.0×10?2 M). A poly(vinyl chloride)‐based membrane of dimethyl 1‐acetyl‐8‐oxo‐2,8‐dihydro‐1H‐pyra‐zolo[5,1‐a]isoindole‐2,3‐dicarboxylate as a neutral carrier with sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB) as an anion excluder and 2‐nitrophenyl octyl ether (NPOE) as plasticizer was prepared and investigated as a Ba(II)‐selective electrode. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 29.7±0.4 mV per decade over a wide concentration range (1.0×10?6 to 1.0×10?1 M) with a detection limit of 7.6×10?7 M between pH 3.0 and 11.0. The response time of the sensor is about 10 s and it can be used over a period of 2 months without any divergence in potential. The proposed membrane sensor revealed good selectivity for Ba(II) over a wide variety of other metal ions. It was successfully used in direct determination of barium ions in industrial wastewater samples.  相似文献

The role of spin polarization on adsorption of atomic and molecular hydrogen on Si(111)(1×1) surface is examined by comparing the results of the local spin density approximation (LSD) and those of the local density approximation (LDA). A large improvement of the adsorption energies (around 0.8 eV/H) was found for the H atom adsorbed on Si(111)(1×1) surface. The inclusion of spin polarization reduces the overbinding between the H atom and the silicon surface and its effect is much more pronounced when the H atom is far away from the surface. Despite of the large changes in the adsorption energies, the main character of the potential energy surface of the H atom on Si(111)(1×1) surface is retained. An opposite effect is found in the charge‐density‐transfer map of LSD results as compared to LDA results for the H atom approaching the surface through the H3 path, in which the H atom loses electrons rather than gains electrons from the surface. The fact that the H atom tends to lose electrons in the silicon bulk has already been reported by the experimental studies for the behavior of the H atom in the p‐type silicon. Remarkably enhanced stability of the self‐assembled hydrogen‐bonded heterocapsule 1?2 by the encapsulation of 1,4‐bis(1‐propynyl)benzene 3 a was found with Ka=1.14×109 M ?1 in CDCl3 and Ka2=1.59×108 M ?2 in CD3OD/CDCl3 (10 % v/v) at 298 K. The formation of 3 a @( 1?2 ) was enthalpically driven (ΔH°<0 and ΔS°<0) and there was a unique inflection point in the correlation between ΔH° versus ΔS° as a function of polar solvent content. The ab initio calculations revealed that favorable guest–capsule dispersion and electrostatic interactions between the acetylenic parts (triple bonds) of 3 a and the aromatic inner space of 1?2 , as well as less structural deformation of 1?2 upon encapsulation of 3 a , play important roles in the remarkable stability of 3 a @( 1?2 ).  相似文献

The initial stages of water adsorption on magnetite Fe3O4(111) surface and the atomic structure of the water/oxide interface remain controversial. Herein, we provide experimental results obtained by infrared reflection–absorption spectroscopy (IRAS) and temperature‐programmed desorption (TPD), corroborated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations showing that water readily dissociates on Fetet sites to form two hydroxo species. These act as an anchor for water molecules to form a dimer complex which self‐assembles into an ordered (2×2) structure. Water ad‐layer ordering is rationalized in terms of a cooperative effect induced by a hydrogen‐bonding network.  相似文献

Regulatory agencies from all over the world have set up stringent guidelines with regard to drug degradation products due to their toxic effects or carcinogenicity. Lansoprazole, a proton‐pump inhibitor, was subjected to forced degradation studies as per ICH guidelines Q1A (R2). The drug was found to degrade under acidic, basic, neutral hydrolysis and oxidative stress conditions, whereas it was found to be stable under thermal and photolytic conditions. The chromatographic separation of the drug and its degradation products were achieved on a Hiber Purospher, C18 (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 μ) column using 10 mM ammonium acetate and acetonitrile as a mobile phase in a gradient elution mode at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The eight degradation products (DP1–8) were identified and characterized by UPLC/ESI/HRMS with in‐source CID experiments combined with accurate mass measurements. DP‐1, DP‐2 and DP‐3 were formed in acidic, DP‐4 in basic, DP‐5 in neutral and DP‐1, DP‐6, DP‐7 and DP‐8 were in oxidation stress condition Among eight degradation products, five were hitherto unknown degradation products. In addition, one of the major degradation products, DP‐2, was isolated by using semi preparative HPLC and other two, DP‐6 and DP‐7 were synthesized. The cytotoxic effect of these degradation products (DP‐2, DP‐6 and DP‐7) were tested on normal human cells such as HEK 293 (embryonic kidney cells) and RWPE‐1(normal prostate epithelial cells) by MTT assay. From the results of cytotoxicity, it was found that lansoprazole as well as its degradation products (DP‐2, DP‐6 and DP‐7) were nontoxic up to 50‐μM concentrations, and the latter showed slightly higher cytotoxicity when compared with that of lansoprazole. DNA binding studies using spectroscopic techniques indicate that DP‐2, DP‐6 and DP‐7 molecules interact with ctDNA and may bind to its surface. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The voltammetric behavior of 3‐nitrofluoranthene and 3‐aminofluoranthene was investigated in mixed methanol‐water solutions by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at boron doped diamond thin‐film electrode (BDDE). Optimum conditions have been found for determination of 3‐nitrofluoranthene in the concentration range of 2×10?8–1×10?6 mol L?1, and for determination 3‐aminofluorathnene in the concentration range of 2×10?7–1×10?5 mol L?1, respectively. Limits of determination were 3×10?8 mol L?1 (3‐nitrofluoranthene) and 2×10?7 mol L?1 (3‐aminofluoranthene).  相似文献

Two new orange red light‐emitting hyperbranched and linear polymers, poly(pyridine phenylene)s P1 and P2, were prepared by the Heck coupling reaction. In particular, an A2 + B3 approach was developed to synthesize conjugated hyperbranched polymer P2 via one‐pot polycondensation. The polymers were characterized by NMR, Fourier transform infrared, ultraviolet–visible, and elemental analysis. They showed excellent solubility in common solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, CH2Cl2, CHCl3, and N,N‐dimethylformamide and had high molecular weights (up to 6.1 × 105 and 5.8 × 105). Cyclic voltammetry studies revealed that P2 had a low‐lying lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy level of ?3.22 eV and a highest occupied molecular orbital energy level of ?5.43 eV. The thin film of P2 emitted strong orange‐red photoluminescence at 595 nm. A double‐layer light‐emitting diode fabricated with the configuration of indium tin oxide/P2/tris(8‐hydroxy‐quinoline)aluminum/Al emitted orange‐red light at 599 nm, with a brightness of 662 cd/m2 at 7 V and a turn‐on voltage of 4.0 V; its external quantum efficiency was calculated to be 0.19% at 130.61 mA/cm2. This indicated that this new electroluminescent polymer (P2) based on 3,5‐dicyano‐2,4,6‐tristyrylpyridine could possibly be used as an orange‐red emitter in polymer light‐emitting displays. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets could serve as ideal building blocks of molecular sieve membranes owing to their structural diversity and minimized mass‐transfer barrier. To date, discovery of appropriate MOF nanosheets and facile fabrication of high performance MOF nanosheet‐based membranes remain as great challenges. A modified soft‐physical exfoliation method was used to disintegrate a lamellar amphiprotic MOF into nanosheets with a high aspect ratio. Consequently sub‐10 nm‐thick ultrathin membranes were successfully prepared, and these demonstrated a remarkable H2/CO2 separation performance, with a separation factor of up to 166 and H2 permeance of up to 8×10−7 mol m−2 s−1 Pa−1 at elevated testing temperatures owing to a well‐defined size‐exclusion effect. This nanosheet‐based membrane holds great promise as the next generation of ultrapermeable gas separation membrane.  相似文献

A serial of late transition metal complexes, which bearing Benzocyclohexane–ketoarylimine ligand and named as Mt(benzocyclohexane–ketoarylimino)2 {Mt(bchkai)2: Mt=Ni or Pd; bchkai=C10H8(O)CN(Ar)CH3; Ar=naphthyl or fluoryl}, have been synthesized and characterized. The molecular structures of the ligands and nickel complex have been confirmed by X‐ray single‐crystal analyses. The nickel complexes exhibited very high activity up to 2.7 × 105 gpolymer/molNi·h and palladium complexes showed high activity up to 2.3 × 105 gpolymer/molPd·h for norbornene (NB) homo‐polymerization with tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane as cocatalyst. The four complexes were effective for copolymerization of NB and 5‐norbornene‐2‐carboxylic acid methyl ester (NB‐COOCH3) in relatively high activities (0.1–2.4 × 105 gpolymer/molMt·h) and produced the addition‐type copolymers with relatively high molecular weights (0.5 × 105–1.2 × 105 g/mol) as well as narrow molecular weight distributions (PDI < 2 for all polymers). Influences of the metals and comonomer feed content on the polymerization activity as well as on the incorporation rates (20.9–42.6%) were investigated. The achieved NB/NB‐COOCH3 copolymers were confirmed to be noncrystalline, exhibited good thermal stability (Td > 400°C) and showed good solubility in common organic solvents. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
