A construction of bases for cell modules of the Birman–Murakami–Wenzl (or B–M–W) algebra B n (q,r) by lifting bases for cell modules of B n−1(q,r) is given. By iterating this procedure, we produce cellular bases for B–M–W algebras on which a large Abelian subalgebra, generated by elements which generalise the Jucys–Murphy elements from the representation theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group, acts triangularly. The triangular action of this Abelian subalgebra is used to provide explicit criteria, in terms of the defining parameters q and r, for B–M–W algebras to be semisimple. The aforementioned constructions provide generalisations, to the algebras under consideration here, of certain results from the Specht module theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group. In this paper we give an analytic proof of the identity A 5,3,3(n)=B 5,3,30(n), where A 5,3,3(n) counts the number of partitions of n subject to certain restrictions on their parts, and B 5,3,30(n) counts the number of partitions of n subject to certain other restrictions on their parts, both too long to be stated in the abstract. Our proof establishes actually a refinement of that partition identity. The original identity was first discovered by the first author jointly with M. Ruby Salestina and S.R. Sudarshan in [Proceedings of the International Conference on Analytic Number Theory with Special Emphasis on L-functions, Ramanujan Math. Soc., Mysore, 2005, pp. 57–70], where it was also given a combinatorial proof, thus answering a question of Andrews. Canonical well-generatedness is defined in the introduction. Recall thatB(ℵ1) *B(ℵ0) is canonically well-generated, and thus well-generated. We prove the following result. Theorem 2:B(ℵ1) *B(ℵ0)contains a non canonically well generated Boolean subalgebra. In contrast with Theorem 1(b), we have the following result. Theorem 3:Let A ={ɑ:α<ℵ1}⊆℘(w)be a strictly increasing sequence in the relation of almost containment. Let B be the subalgebra of ℘(w)generated by {{n}:n∈ℵ0}∪A.Then B is superatomic, and B is not embeddable in a well-generated algebra.  相似文献

The h-super connectivity κh and the h-super edge-connectivity λh are more refined network reliability indices than the conneetivity and the edge-connectivity. This paper shows that for a connected balanced digraph D and its line digraph L, if D is optimally super edge-connected, then κ1(L) = 2λ1 (D), and that for a connected graph G and its line graph L, if one of κ1 (L) and λ(G) exists, then κ1(L) = λ2(G). This paper determines that κ1(B(d, n) is equal to 4d- 8 for n = 2 and d ≥ 4, and to 4d-4 for n ≥ 3 and d ≥ 3, and that κ1(K(d, n)) is equal to 4d- 4 for d 〉 2 and n ≥ 2 except K(2, 2). It then follows that B(d,n) and K(d, n) are both super connected for any d ≥ 2 and n ≥ 1.  相似文献

The realization of functions of the k-valued logic by circuits is considered over an arbitrary infinite complete basis B. The Shannon function D B (n) of the circuit depth over B is examined (for any positive integer n the value D B (n) is the minimal depth sufficient to realize every function of the k-valued logic of n variables by a circuit over B). It is shown that for each fixed k ≥ 2 and for any infinite complete basis B either there exists a constant α ≥ 1 such that D B (n) = α for all sufficiently large n, or there exist constants β (β > 0), γ, δ such that βlog2 nD B (n) ≤ γlog2 n + δ for all n.  相似文献

It is proved that the Bergman type operatorT, is a bounded projection from the pluriharmonic Bergman spaceL p (B)∩h(B) onto Bergman spaceL p (B) ∩ H(B) for 0p 1 ands (p1-1)(n+1). In the present paper for arbitrary automorphism φ of the free Bunside group B(m, n) and for any odd number n ≥ 1003 a sufficient condition for existence of non-φ-admissible normal subgroup of B(m, n) was found. In particular, if automorphism φ is normal, then for any basis {a 1, a 2, …, a m } of the group B(m, n) there is an integer k such that for each i the elements a i and φ(a i) k are conjugates.  相似文献

The paper establishes strong rigidity properties of the corresponding elementary operators ε a,b on the Calkin algebraC(ℓ p )≡L(ℓ p )/K(ℓ p ); , where quotient elements are denoted bys=S+K(ℓ p ) forSεL(ℓ p ). It is shown among other results that the kernel Ker(ε a,b ) is a non-separable subspace ofC(ℓ p ) whenever ε a,b fails to be one-one, while the quotient is non-separable whenever ε a,b fails to be onto. These results extend earlier ones in several directions: neither of the subsets {A 1,...,A n }, {B 1,...,B n } needs to consist of commuting operators, and the results apply to other spaces apart from Hilbert spaces. The symplectic group branching algebra, B\mathcal {B}, is a graded algebra whose components encode the multiplicities of irreducible representations of Sp2n−2(ℂ) in each finite-dimensional irreducible representation of Sp2n (ℂ). By describing on B\mathcal {B} an ASL structure, we construct an explicit standard monomial basis of B\mathcal {B} consisting of Sp2n−2(ℂ) highest weight vectors. Moreover, B\mathcal {B} is known to carry a canonical action of the n-fold product SL2×⋯×SL2, and we show that the standard monomial basis is the unique (up to scalar) weight basis associated to this representation. Finally, using the theory of Hibi algebras we describe a deformation of Spec(B)\mathrm{Spec}(\mathcal {B}) into an explicitly described toric variety.  相似文献

LetT be a complete theory of linear order; the language ofT may contain a finite or a countable set of unary predicates. We prove the following results. (i) The number of nonisomorphic countable models ofT is either finite or 2ω. (ii) If the language ofT is finite then the number of nonisomorphic countable models ofT is either 1 or 2ω. (iii) IfS 1(T) is countable then so isS n(T) for everyn. (iv) In caseS 1(T) is countable we find a relation between the Cantor Bendixon rank ofS 1(T) and the Cantor Bendixon rank ofS n(T). (v) We define a class of modelsL, and show thatS 1(T) is finite iff the models ofT belong toL. We conclude that ifS 1(T) is finite thenT is finitely axiomatizable. (vi) We prove some theorems concerning the existence and the structure of saturated models. In this paper, we study a certain partition function a(n) defined by Σ n≥0 a(n)q n := Π n=1(1 − q n )−1(1 − q 2n )−1. We prove that given a positive integer j ≥ 1 and a prime m ≥ 5, there are infinitely many congruences of the type a(An + B) ≡ 0 (mod m j ). In order to study the structure of A +(B n )—the affine near-semiring over a Brandt semigroup—this work completely characterizes the Green's classes of its semigroup reducts. In this connection, this work classifies the elements of A +(B n ) and reports the size of A +(B n ).
