利用物理实验室中常见的设备,搭建了一组巨磁阻抗效应实验装置,测量了在不同轴向外磁场及不同频率下钴基非晶态软磁合金细丝的阻抗.阻抗实部虚部均随外磁场增大迅速减小,而随频率增大缓慢增大.与交流阻抗的电磁理论比较,该实验结果与理论一致.实验观察到在40 MHz的频率、10 mT外磁场中阻抗变化达80%.根据数据和理论公式拟合,发现材料复磁导率随磁场强度增大迅速减小.  相似文献

Interaction of traveling electromagnetic waves with MBE-grown Fe/Cr multilayer nanostructures is studied. Measurements are made in the frequency range 5.7–12.5 GHz at magnetic fields of up to 32 kOe. It is found that the dependence of the microwave transmission coefficient on the external magnetic field intensity is similar to the field dependence of the dc giant magnetoresistive effect. As a result of the interaction, the wavenumber varies in proportion to the electrical resistance of the structure. A simulation of the magnetic fields shows that the microwave currents flow largely across the multilayer nanostructure (normally to the layers).  相似文献

We analyze the conditions of the electromagnetic potentials for systems with electric and magnetic charges and the Lagrangian theory with these potentials. The constructed Lagrangian function is valid for obtaining the field equations and the extended Lorentz force for dyonic charges for both relativistic particles in vacuum and non-relativistic entities in solids. In a second part, with the one-body Hamiltonian of independent particles in external fields, we explore some dual properties of the dyonic system under external fields. We analyze the possible diamagnetic (and ‘diaelectric’) response of magnetic monopoles under a weak and constant electromagnetic field and the theory of Landau levels in the case of magnetic charges under strong electromagnetic constant fields.  相似文献

We investigate how dissipation and nonlinearity can affect the electromagnetic wave propagating through a saturated ferromagnet in the presence of an external magnetic field in (2+1) dimensions. The propagation of electromagnetic waves through a ferromagnet under an external magnetic field in the presence of dissipative effect has been studied using reductive perturbation method. It is found that to the lowest order of perturbation the system of equations for the electromagnetic waves in a ferromagnet can be reduced to an integro-differential equation.  相似文献

The matrix 8-component Dirac-like form of the P-odd equations for boson fields of spin 1 and 0 are obtained and the symmetry group of the equations is derived. We found exact solutions of the field equation for vector particles with arbitrary electric and magnetic moments in external constant and uniform electromagnetic fields. The differential probability of pair production of vector particles with electric dipole moments and anomalous magnetic moments by an external constant and uniform electromagnetic field has been found using exact solutions. We have calculated the imaginary and real parts of the electromagnetic field Lagrangian that takes into account the vacuum polarization of vector particles. We investigated the shot noise properties in the diluted-magnetic-semiconductor/semiconductor heterostructures, where the sp-d exchange interaction gives rise to a giant spin splitting when an external magnetic field is applied along the growth direction of the heterostructures. It is found that the noise becomes strongly spin-dependent and can be greatly modulated not only by the external magnetic and electric fields, but also by the structural configuration and geometric parameters. Both the spin-up and spin-down components of the noise spectral density can be greatly suppressed by the magnetic field. The Fano factor is notably sensitive to the transmission probabilities, which varies greatly with the spin-polarization, the external magnetic field, and the structural configuration.  相似文献

We investigate the theory of particles with arbitrary spin and magnetic moment in the Lorentz representation (0, s) (s, 0) in an external constant and uniform electromagnetic field. We obtain the density matrix of free particles in pure spin states. The differential probability of pair producing particles with arbitrary spin by an external constant and uniform electromagnetic field is found using the exact solutions. We calculate the imaginary and real parts of the Lagrangian in an electromagnetic field that takes into account the vacuum polarization.  相似文献

We study electromagnetic waves localized near the surface of a semi-infinite dielectric medium covered by a graphene layer in the presence of a strong external magnetic field. We demonstrate that a novel type of hybrid TE-TM polarized surface plasmons can propagate along the graphene layer. We analyze the effect of the Hall conductivity on the polarization properties of these hybrid surface waves and suggest a possibility to tune the graphene plasmons by the external magnetic field.  相似文献

We analyze the absorption of a high-frequency electromagnetic field in the type II superconductor Pb0.8In0.2 in magnetic fields H c2 < H < H c3. The absorption component proportional to the rate of variation of the external magnetic field is detected. We assume that this absorption component is associated with the dynamic mixed state of the superconducting shell containing 2D magnetic flux vortices (Kulik vortices). The motion of these vortices under the action of the critical current ensures the required difference between the external and internal magnetic inductions of the superconducting shell upon a change in the external magnetic field. This model correctly describes the observed behavior of absorption of rf electromagnetic radiation.  相似文献

We analyze the influence of electric and magnetic interconnection between the components of a magnetoelectric on its magnetoelectric coefficient at high frequency of the external electric and magnetic field. We interpret the obtained results on the basis of the existence in such structures of probing electromagnetic fields. It is shown that allowing for electric and magnetic field capture through the mechanical subsystem leads to a decrease in the magnetoelectric coefficient.  相似文献

Because of strong flux confinement in mesoscopic superconductors, a "giant" vortex may appear in the ground state of the system in an applied magnetic field. This multiquanta vortex can then split into individual vortices (and vice versa) as a function of, e.g., applied current, magnetic field, or temperature. Here we show that such transitions can be identified by calorimetry, as the formation or splitting of a giant vortex results in a clear jump in measured heat capacity versus external drive. We attribute this phenomenon to an abrupt change in the density of states of the quasiparticle excitations in the vortex core(s), and further link it to a sharp change of the magnetic susceptibility at the transition--proving that the formation of a giant vortex can also be detected by magnetometry.  相似文献

We investigate the possibility of charge carrier localization in magnetic semiconductors due to the presence of a highly inhomogeneous external magnetic field. As an example, we study in detail the properties of a magnetic semiconductor-permalloy disk hybrid system. We find that the giant Zeeman response of the magnetic semiconductor in conjunction with the highly nonuniform magnetic field created by the vortex state of a permalloy disk can lead to Zeeman localized states at the interface of the two materials. These trapped states are chiral, with chirality controlled by the orientation of the core magnetization of the permalloy disk. We calculate the energy spectrum and the eigenstates of these Zeeman localized states, and discuss their experimental signatures in spectroscopic probes.  相似文献

We have considered the tunneling of a normally incident electromagnetic wave through a bilayer structure that consists of a ferrite layer and an adjoining layer with a negative permittivity. The ferrite layer is transversely magnetized by an external magnetic field that corresponds to the range of negative values of the effective permeability. It has been shown that the transmission of the structure can be controlled in wide limits by varying the external magnetic field. In particular, nearly perfect tunneling (viz., nonreflective transmission of incident radiation) can be realized.  相似文献

In the present Letter the transparency of a two-moving-magnetized-plasma-layer structure irradiated by an electromagnetic wave is investigated theoretically and its resonant conditions are determined. Here, the direction of the external magnetic field is normal to the plasma surface and two layers move with different velocities parallel to the interface. The effects of the external magnetic field, speed of plasma layers and the magnitude of the wave number component on transparency are simulated. These investigations for S-polarized and P-polarized electromagnetic waves have been done separately.  相似文献

The conditions for the existence of surface electromagnetic waves at the planar interface between a homogeneous medium (vacuum) and a thin-layer periodic structure consisting of alternating semiconductor and dielectric layers in an external magnetic field have been investigated. This structure represents an optically biaxial crystal with the effective permittivity tensor components dependent both on the geometric parameters of the structure and on the physical characteristics (magnetic field strength, frequency, and thicknesses of the layers). It has been shown that the propagation of surface electromagnetic waves localized near the interface can occur in the thin-layer biaxial structure within specific ranges of frequencies and external magnetic field strengths.  相似文献

Based on the model of the two calcium stores developed by Goldbeter, the influence of external magnetic field on the calcium concentration has been discussed. We believe that the cell membrane is a major site of interaction for extremely-low-frequency (ELF) electromagnetic fields, and the permeability of ions can be changed with the changing electromagnetic fields. It is shown that magnetic field initiatesintracellular calcium oscillation with a threshold in flux density, and that the calcium oscillations do not occur if the density of magnetic field is below the threshold. The results of theoretical calculation are consistent with that of the experiment. The intracellular free calcium concentrations of different cells exposed to the same magnetic fields are different from each other. It is indicated that the different behaviors such as oscillation, rise and invariability of calcium concentration are associated with the sort of cells.  相似文献

A general treatment of finite temperature and external electromagnetic field effects for gauge theories is presented. The results are illustrated explicitly for the SU(2) model of Georgi and Glashow for which we obtain the finite temperature one-loop effective action in the presence of an external magnetic field. The reflection of electromagnetic waves from the layered structure of a high-temperature superconductor-multiferroic with cycloidal antiferromagnetic structure in an external magnetic field is studied. The frequency dependence of the reflection coefficient at different values of an external magnetic field is calculated.
