Holographic subsurface radar method is compared with the conventional technology of impulse radars. Basic relationships needed for the reconstruction of complex microwave holograms are presented. Possible applications of the proposed technology are discussed. Diagnostics of polyurethane foam coatings of spacecrafts is used as an example of the efficiency of holographic subsurface radars. Results of reconstruction of complex and amplitude microwave holograms are compared. It is demonstrated that the image quality that results from reconstruction of complex microwave holograms is higher than the image quality obtained with the aid of amplitude holograms.  相似文献

We propose a new picture of black holes through a special holographic screen. This holographic screen contains all the degrees of freedom of a black hole. We find that this holographic screen is similar to the ordinary thermodynamic surface system. Meanwhile, through the "white-wall box" and the formula of sound velocity, we find some similarities between gravitons and photons. We further assume that such a holographic screen is a kind of Bose-Einstein condensate of gravitons. Through this assumption and those similarities, we finally get the area law of static black holes.  相似文献

We construct a holographic dark energy density in the modified gravity for a non-flat space. We incorporate possible modification of equation of state for the holographic energy density in the spirit of f(R) gravity. In this case we choose Jeans length as the IR cut-off in the holographic model. Then we employ the non-flat universe for the holographic modified gravity to obtain a general form of f(R) in this setup.  相似文献

Tunable dual-wavelength operation of a laser diode has been achieved using a dual-period holographic element. The holographic element was positioned in Littrow configuration in an external cavity. The design of this holographic element was based on the superposition of a constant-period grating and a variable-period grating on the same location in a photoresist. We observed simultaneous emission at two wavelengths from a visible semiconductor laser operated with this holographic element. The spectral separation of the dual-wavelength output was varied from 0.76 to 6.27 nm by a simple translation of the holographic element.  相似文献

We investigate the statistical nature of holographic gas, which may represent the quasi-particle excitations of a strongly correlated gravitational system. We find that the holographic entropy can be obtained by modifying degeneracy. We calculate thermodynamical quantities and investigate stability of the holographic gas. When applying to cosmology, we find that the holographic gas behaves as holographic dark energy, and the parameter c in holographic dark energy can be calculated from our model. Our model of holographic gas generally predicts c 〈 1, implying that the fate of our universe is phantom-like.  相似文献

We present our studies on the photopolymer of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) doped with 9,10-phenanthrenequinone based derivatives for volume holographic storage. By introducing different functional groups on the side-chain of 9,10-phenanthrenequinone molecule, the holographic characteristics of the material can be modified. The photoreaction involved with the holographic recording in the samples was investigated by measuring UV-Vis absorption spectrum and mass spectrum. The experimental results show that the similar behaviors were exhibited in these photopolymers. It is found that phase hologram recording in our PQ derivatives doped PMMA photopolymer involves a structure change of the quinone based molecule, which induces a strong change of the refractive index. Experimental characterizations on holographic data storage, including material sensitivity, dynamic range (M#) and bit-error-rate have been performed. We found that, by selecting appropriate functional groups, an improvement in sensitivity and M# for holographic data storage can be achieved.  相似文献

In this paper we study the cosmological evolution of the holographic dark energy in a cyclic universe, generalizing the model of holographic dark energy proposed by Li. The holographic dark energy with c<1 can realize a quintom behavior; namely, it evolves from a quintessence-like component to a phantom-like one. The holographic phantom energy density grows rapidly and dominates the late-time expanding phase, helping to realize a cyclic universe scenario in which the high energy regime is modified by the effects of quantum gravity, causing a turn-around (and a bounce) of the universe. The dynamical evolution of holographic dark energy in the regimes of low energy and high energy is governed by two differential equations, respectively. It is of importance to link the two regimes for this scenario. We propose a link condition giving rise to a complete picture of holographic evolution of a cyclic universe.  相似文献

We study a cosmological implication of holographic dark energy in the Brans–Dicke gravity. We employ the holographic model of dark energy to obtain the equation of state for the holographic energy density in non-flat (closed) universe enclosed by the event horizon measured from the sphere of horizon named L. Our analysis shows that one can obtain the phantom crossing scenario if the model parameter α (of order unity) is tuned accordingly. Moreover, this behavior is achieved by treating the Brans–Dicke scalar field as a Chameleon scalar field and taking a non-minimal coupling of the scalar field with matter. Hence one can generate phantom-like equation of state from a holographic dark energy model in non-flat universe in the Brans–Dicke cosmology framework.  相似文献

High-speed holographic interferometry was applied to the experimental study of a laser-induced plasma plume in pulsed laser welding. We adopted two kinds of holographic interferometers for visualizing and imaging the refractive index distribution of the plume and vaporized metal; a real-time holographic interferometer with a high-speed camera and a double-pulsed holographic interferometer with a dual-reference-beam module. The high-speed photographs of the weld plume were compared with the visualized images by holographic interferometer. The experimental results show the process of generation and propagation of the laser-induced plume and give the feasibility of quantitative measurement of the density distribution of the laser-induced plume and vaporized metal in laser welding.  相似文献

We study higher derivative corrections in holographic dual of Zamolodchikov–Polchinski theorem that states the equivalence between scale invariance and conformal invariance in unitary d-dimensional Poincaré invariant field theories. From the dual holographic perspective, we find that a sufficient condition to show the holographic theorem is the generalized strict null-energy condition of the matter sector in effective (d+1)-dimensional gravitational theory. The same condition has appeared in the holographic dual of the “c-theorem” and our theorem suggests a deep connection between the two, which was manifested in two-dimensional field theoretic proof of the both.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate the use of phase images for holographic data storage. Use of phase images as input leads to uniform diffraction efficiency of multiplexed data pages. Use of binary phase-based data pages with 0 and π phase changes produces uniform spectral distribution at the Fourier plane. This in turn facilitates better recording of higher spatial frequencies. We experimentally demonstrate a phase-based holographic data storage system using shift multiplexing in a Fe:LiNbO3 crystal, and use it for associative retrieval. Preliminary studies indicate high discrimination capabilities of phase-based holographic data storage system over the amplitude-based system in a content-addressable memory.  相似文献

We describe the three-dimensional holographic optical disc system for application as read-only memory. Several systems design issues are discussed including imaging optics, storage density, readout rate, and the alignment servo system. We study quantities which are important for the realization of the holographic principle in the AdS/CFT correspondence: boundaries, geodesics and the propagators of scalar fields. They should play a role in the holographic setup in the BMN limit as well. We review the backgrounds and their relations that are relevant in the AdS/CFT correspondence and in its BMN limit. We describe the realization of the holographic principle in the AdS/CFT correspondence and summarize proposals of how to translate it in the BMN limit. We analyze the boundaries, geodesics and propagators of scalar fields in detail and observe how they behave in the limiting process from AdS5×S5 to the 10‐dimensional plane wave, which is the spacetime in the BMN limit.  相似文献

本文对多空间光调制器不同拼接方式拓展全息三维再现像视角的方法进行了分析,基于多片空间光调制器拼接拓展视角的思想,利用平面反射镜、分光镜和两片透射式空间光调制器设计了曲面拼接系统,进行了全息三维再现像的视角拓展实验研究。用该系统对四棱锥物体的层析菲涅尔衍射全息图进行再现,结果表明,总视角由基于单片空间光调制器的1.7°增大到3.2°,即拓展到约1.9倍,分光镜能够消除两片空间光调制器间的间隙,实现无缝拼接。该方法同样适用于更多空间光调制器的曲面拼接中,可以有效地拓展全息再现像的视场角大小。  相似文献

We investigate the temperature and energy on holographic screens for 4-dimensional axisymmetric black holes with the entropic force idea proposed by Verlinde. According to the principle of thermal equilibrium, the location of holographic screen outside the axisymmetric black hole horizon is not a equivalent radius surface. The location of isothermal holographic screen outside the axisymmetric black hole horizon is obtained. Using the equipartition rule, we derive the correction expression of energy of isothermal holographic screen. When holographic screens are far away the black hole horizon, the entropic force of charged rotating particles can be expressed as Newton’s law of gravity. When the screen crosses the event horizon, the temperature of the screen agrees with the Hawking temperature and the entropic force gives rise to the surface gravity for both of the black holes.  相似文献

We propose a holographic dual of a conformal field theory defined on a manifold with boundaries, i.e., boundary conformal field theory (BCFT). Our new holography, which may be called anti-de?Sitter BCFT, successfully calculates the boundary entropy or g function in two-dimensional BCFTs and it agrees with the finite part of the holographic entanglement entropy. Moreover, we can naturally derive a holographic g theorem. We also analyze the holographic dual of an interval at finite temperature and show that there is a first order phase transition.  相似文献

High-speed holographic interferometry was employed to visualize and record Shockwave phenomena. We performed three kinds of holographic interferometry for visualization and recording of the propagation of a Shockwave: a real-time holographic interferometer with a high-speed framing camera, a real-time holographic interferometer with a high-speed streak camera and a double-pulse laser holographic interferometer with a dual-reference-beam module. The experimental results were compared and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. The experimental results clearly show the high-speed Shockwave propagation and give the feasibility of quantitative interpretation of high-speed gas-dynamics.  相似文献

This work presents a holographic interferometer that uses the photorefractive sillenite crystals in diffusive regimen whose configuration exhibits diffraction anisotropy for real-time holographic interferometry. The writing–reading process of holographic interferogram was done in real-time, connected with an interferogram-analysis method that uses the phase-stepping technique for quantitative measurement of changes on an object. The holographic interferograms from the analyzed surface were captured and they were used to calculate the phase map with four-frame technique. The unwrapping process used was the cellular-automata technique. We obtained quantitative results for some applications: measurements of micro-rotation of surfaces, punctual micro-displacements on an aluminum plate, stress on a dog's jaw, among others; adding new promising applications possibilities for basic research, dentistry and technological areas.  相似文献

We investigate the holographic dark energy scenario with a varying gravitational constant, in flat and non-flat background geometry. We extract the exact differential equations determining the evolution of the dark energy density-parameter, which include G-variation correction terms. Performing a low-redshift expansion of the dark energy equation of state, we provide the involved parameters as functions of the current density parameters, of the holographic dark energy constant and of the G-variation.  相似文献
