By accurate measurements of the lattice parameter of aluminium, silver and gold by K 1 radiation of copper and cobalt it is proved that the values determined by the radiation of cobalt are systematically lower than those determined by the radiation of copper. A semiquantitative analysis of the influence of spectral asymmetry on the determination of the parameter from X-ray diffraction lines is carried out and it is proved that this influence is defined not only by the index of asymmetry of the emission line but also by the broadening of the corresponding diffraction line. From this analysis it follows that the differences in the parameter measured when using radiation of cobalt and copper, can be explained by the influence of the spectral asymmetry of the emission lines K 1 of these radiations.

The existence of long-range order is proved under certain conditions for the antiferromagnetic quantum spin system with anisotropic interactions (XXZ model) on the simple cubic or the square lattice. In three dimensions (the simple cubic lattice), finite long-range order exists at sufficiently low temperatures for any anisotropy(0) ifS1, and for 0<0.29 (XY-like) or>1.19 (Ising-like) ifS=1/2. In two dimensions (the square lattice), ground-state long-range order exists under the following conditions: for any anisotropy (0) ifS3/2; 0<0.032 (XY-like) or 0.67<<1.34 (almost isotropic) or>1.80 (Ising-like) ifS=1;>1.93 (Ising-like) ifS=1/2. We conjecture that the two-dimensional spin-1/2XY model (=0) has finite ground-state long-range order. Numerical evidence supporting this conjecture is given.  相似文献

We study the influence of a finite container on an ideal gas. The trace of theheat kernel (t) = = 1exp(–t), where {} = 1are the eigenvalues of the negative Laplacian – 2 = – 3 = 1(/x )2 in the (x 1, x 2, x 3)-space,is studied for a general bounded domain with a smooth bounding surface S, where afinite number of Dirichlet, Neumann, and Robin boundary conditions on thepiecewise smooth parts S i (i = 1, ..., n) of S are considered such that S =U i = 1 S i . Some geometrical properties of (the volume, the surface area, the meancurvature, and the Gaussian curvature) are determined. Furthermore, thermodynamic quantities, particularly the energy, for an ideal gas enclosed inthe general bounded domain with Dirichlet, Neumann, and Robin conditionsare examined with the help of the asymptotic expansions of (t) for short timet. We show that these thermodynamic quantities depend on some geometricproperties of .  相似文献

We consider translation-invariant attractive spin systems. LetT ,x v be the first time that the average spin inside the hypercube reaches the valuex when the process is started from an invariant measure with density smaller thanx. We obtain sufficient conditions for (1) ¦¦–1 logT ,x v (x) in distribution as ¦¦ , and ¦¦–1 logT ,x v (x) as ¦¦ , where (x):= –lim ¦¦–1 log {(average spin inside ) x. And (2)T ,x v /ET ,x v converges to a unit mean exponential random variable as ¦¦ . Both (1) and (2) are proven under some type of rapid convergence to equilibrium. (1) is also proven without extra conditions for Ising models with ferromagnetic pair interactions evolving according to an attractive reversible dynamics; in this case is a thermodynamic function. We discuss also the case of finite systems with boundary conditions and what can be said about the state of the system at the timeT ,x v .On leave from São Paulo University.  相似文献

The Hamiltonian of nuclear spin interaction in a ferromagnet is derived by the classical method, which introduces the precession of nuclear spin into the equation of motion for magnetization. From this it is shown that the interaction Hamiltonian also depends on the magnitude and sign of nuclear precession frequency N and the damping constant of ferromagnetic resonance A. The calculation of these parameters makes the Suhl [1] quantum mechanical derivation of the Hamiltonian of nuclear spin interaction in a ferromagnet more accurate. The influence of these parameters on the relaxation timeT 2 is also discussed and is applied to the case of cubic cobalt.

The temperature-frequency dependences of the conductivity (), capacitance (C), and dielectric-loss coefficient () have been measured for metalglass film (composition As30Ge10Si12Te48)-metal structures in an alternating electric field. The glass film was obtained by the method of radiofrequency sputtering in an argon atmosphere, and the top and bottom molybdenum electrodes by thermal evaporation in vacuum. The measurements were made in the frequency range 4·102–2·104 Hz at temperatures 209–299°K. The relaxation component r= of the conductivity for T < 240°K and high frequencies does not depend on the temperature (T) and is proportional to 0.8. At higher temperatures, r() is described by a complicated curve, which has at low frequencies the behavior 2 and goes over to saturation at large values of . In this range of frequencies and for positive temperatures r exp(E/T), where E 0.45 eV. The frequency-temperature dependences of r, C, and ' are interpreted on the basis of Fröhlich's model. The calculated and experimental curves are compared. It is assumed that the loss of relaxation type is due to two processes, one of which is governed by carrier hops between localized states near the Fermi level and is predominant at low temperatures. The other is determined by carrier hops between the same states through the valence band and is predominant at positive temperatures.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 9, pp. 35–39, September, 1980.  相似文献

A contribution to the absorption spectrum of amorphous selenium in the infra-red region
The absorption spectrum of amorphous selenium was measured in the region of 0·6 to 25 on samples of high purity and homogeneity. The absorption bands of amorphous and liquid sulphur were also measured in the same wave-length region. The measurements showed that the absorption bands 13·4 and 20·4 , appearing in the spectrum of amorphous selenium, are its intrinsic absorption bands and are not caused by impurities, as some authors think. The similarity between the infra-red spectra of selenium and sulphur is shown.

We derive the hydrodynamic (Euler) approximation for the harmonic time evolution of infinite classical oscillator system on one-dimensional lattice 1 It is known that equilibrium (i.e., time-invariant attractive) states for this model are translationally invariant Gaussian ones, with the mean 0, which satisfy some linear relations involving the interaction quadratic form. The natural parameter characterizing equilibrium states is the spectral density matrix function (SDMF)F(), [– , ). Time evolution of a space profile of local equilibrium parameters is described by a space-time SDMFF(t;x, ) t, xR 1. The hydrodynamic equation forF(t; x, ) which we derive in this paper means that the normal mode profiles indexed by are moving according to linear laws and are mutually independent. The procedure of deriving the hydrodynamic equation is the following: We fix an initial SDMF profileF(x, ) and a familyP ,>0 of mean 0 states which satisfy the two conditions imposed on the covariance of spins at various lattice points: (a) the covariance at points close to the value –1 x in the stateP is approximately described by the SDMFF(x, ); (b) The covariance (on large distances) decreases with distance quickly enough and uniformly in. Given nonzerotR 1, we consider the states P –1 ,>0, describing the system at the time moments –1 t during its harmonic time evolution. We check that the covariance at lattice points close to –1 x in the state P –1 is approximately described by a SDMFF(t;x, ) and establish the connection betweenF(t; x, ) andF(x,).  相似文献

CdSb single crystals were prepared by zone melting in a boat both with and without a seed crystal in a stream of pure hydrogen or in a sealed and evacuated tube. The zone moved with a velocity of 1–20 cm/hour. Zone melting in an evacuated tube was used to prepare CdSb single crystals of high purity containing 1015 acceptors/cm3 at room temperature. During zone refining the stoichiometry is damaged; the front part of the ingot is enriched by cadmium and the end of the ingot by antimony; the enrichment is of an order of several percent after 10 passages of the zone. In the middle part of the ingot the stoichiometric compound remains unchanged. CdSb single crystals grow even by directional cooling of the melt of the stoichiometric compound without a seed crystal.

The Julia setB for the mappingz (z–)2 is considered, where is a complex parameter. For 2 a new upper bound for the Hausdorff dimension is given, and the monic polynomials orthogonal with respect to the equilibrium measure onB are introduced. A method for calculating all of the polynomials is provided, and certain identities which obtain among coefficients of the three-term recurrence relations are given. A unifying theme is the relationship betweenB and -chains ± (± (± ...), which is explored for –1/42 and for with ||1/4, with the aid of the Böttcher equation. ThenB is shown to be a Hölder continuous curve for ||<1/4.Supported by NSF Grant MCS-8104862Supported by NSF Grant MCS-8002731  相似文献

The theory and structure of the temperature image
The paper describes the theory of the formation of a temperature image when there are large temperature differences and introduces the concept of temperature distortion of an image. It also deals with the geometrical distortion of the temperature image by the longitudinal thermal conductivity of the receiver layer and gives a solution of the corresponding differential equation of the temperature image for the case of a general linear line test and general circular concentric test. Equations are derived for the temperature distributions of the temperature images of some optical lineated and circular test objects and their geometrical distortion due to the thermal conductivity of the receiver layer is investigated.

A new photo-voltaic effect was observed which is caused by inhomogeneous distribution of the pressure in a semiconductor. Its production can be explained by the dependence of the energy gap on the pressure.

The temperature dependence of the refractive index of germanium in a wave-length region of 1·8–5·5 and temperature region of 100–530 °K is given for three samples of single crystal germanium having different concentrations of impurities. The temperature dependence of the refractive index is non-linear. Our results are compared with those of other authors. An attempt is also made to theoretically interpret the observed dependence.

The impurity contribution to the resistivity in zero field (T) of dilute hexagonal single crystals of ZnMn, CdMn and MgMn has been studied in the mK range on samples cut parallel () and perpendicular () to thec-axis, using a SQUID technique for the measurements. Typical spin glass behavior is found in (T) as well as (T) for all alloys, with Kondo like logarithmic increases at higher temperatures and maxima atT m at lower temperatures, indicating the influence of impurity interactions. The differences in the corresponding isotropic resistivity poly(T) between the three systems can qualitatively be understood within the framework of a theoretical model by Larsen, describing (T) as a function of universal quantitiesT/T K and RKKY/T K , where RKKY is the RKKY-interaction strength andT K the Kondo temperature. With respect to the two lattice directions studied, the behavior of (T and (T is anisotropic in the Kondo regime as well as in the range where ordering becomes important. While the anisotropy in the Kondo slope can be understood by an anisotropic unitarity limit, the understanding of the anisotropy in region where impurity interactions are important remains problematic.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. S. Energy levels and electromagnetic properties of fluorin isotopes in the Nilsson's model with Coriolis mixing are investigated. Position of the F19 levels is satisfactorily explained up to the energy of 4·5 MeV. Concerning the F21 it seems that the shell model will better correspond to the F21 nucleus.
