Since the tapered quarter wave resonator (QWR) cavity is proven to have a much lower peak surface magnetic field in the short plate and a lower peak surface electric field near the beam tube compared with the straight outer conductor QWR, it has been recommended for the separated sector cyclotron linac injector system in the heavy ion research facility in Lanzhou. This paper is focused on the multipacting (MP) analysis for the tapered QWR with a frequency of 80.5 MHz and beta of 0.085. Using the Analyst program, MP bands can be simulated and analyzed with the Particle Tracking module to identify potential problems in the cavity design. This paper will present the simulation results of MP for the tapered QWR cavity.  相似文献

采用CST软件的粒子工作室模块, 对spoke超导腔中可能发生的二次电子倍增效应进行了分析研究,并采用二次电子倍增效应发生后形成稳定状态时的粒子数增长率来表征其强度。模拟计算表明:该腔存在两处二次电子倍增效应,spoke柱两端的两点一阶倍增; spoke腔两端侧壁与中心圆筒交界处的单点一阶倍增;二次电子倍增在加速腔压为0.65 MV时的增长率最高,而腔压大于1 MV时,增长率均为负,即无倍增发生。  相似文献

Modeling multipacting to steady state saturation is of interest in determining the performance of the micro-pulse electron gun. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to calculate the multipacting resonance param- eters for the gun. This method works well, and the 2-D simulation results suggest that steady state saturation can be achieved in the gun. After saturation the transition from two-surface multipacting to single-surface multipacting occurred, and an extensive range of electron emission time is a suggested way to avoid this kind of transition.  相似文献

In the China ADS(CIADS) proton accelerator, multipacting is an issue of concern for the superconducting cavities. The parallel codes Omega3 P and Track3 P, developed at SLAC under the support of the DOE Sci DAC program, have been used to calculate the electromagnetic field distribution and to analyze the multipacting barriers of such cavities. In this paper, two types of 162.5 MHz half wave resonator cavities, HWR-010(cylinder type with β of 0.10) and HWR-015(taper type with β of 0.15) have been analyzed, and the results of the multipacting analyses show that the resonant electrons occur at different regions with different accelerating gradients. The two-point 1st order multipacting on the short plate has also been researched and discussed.  相似文献

A number of superconducting cavities of axis-symmetric geometry have been considered to study the effect in order to achieve the desired performance.It is shown that the multipacting effect is strongly dependent on the condition of the RF surface and can be suppressed with reconsideration of the geometry.The simulation result is compared with the result of the semi-analytical model in the end.  相似文献

As part of the international research program on the superconducting cavity for the International Linear Collider (ILC) R&D on the 1.3 GHz low loss superconducting cavities has been carried out at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) since 2005. A design of 1.3 GHz low loss cavity shape was proposed and six single-cell cavities of different niobium material were successfully fabricated with standard technology. In this study our priority was on large grain (LG) cavities. The two LG cavities were treated with complete procedures of surface treatments based on chemical polishing (CP) without electro polishing (EP) at IHEP. The two LG cavities and a fine grain cavity were sent to KEK for vertical testing. All the three cavities reached accelerating gradients higher than 35 MV/m and the maximum gradient of 40.27 MV/m was achieved in the LG cavity. This paper presents the process of the vertical RF tests and the comparison of the LG and fine grain cavities's performance.  相似文献

To test superconducting cavities, a vertical test system has been designed and set up at the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP). The system design is based on VCO-PLL hardware and the NI Labview software. The test of the HWR010#2 superconducting cavity shows that the function of this test system is satisfactory for testing the low frequency cavity.  相似文献

Nonlinear effects in the coupling of polarization with elastic strain have been predicted to occur in ferroelectric materials subjected to high electric fields. Such predictions are tested here for a PbZr0.2Ti0.8O3 ferroelectric thin film at electric fields in the range of several hundred MV/m and strains reaching up to 2.7%. The piezoelectric strain exceeds predictions based on constant piezoelectric coefficients at electric fields from approximately 200 to 400 MV/m, which is consistent with a nonlinear effect predicted to occur at corresponding piezoelectric distortions.  相似文献

以在高场作用下载流子对三角势垒的Fowler Nordheim隧穿理论为基础 ,建立了双层有机电致发光器件载流子的输运与复合发光模型。求出了稳态下电荷载流子的复合发光与电压和界面势垒的函数关系式 ,计算并讨论了所加电压和阳极区与阴极区厚度之比 (Lh/Le)对复合发光的影响。该理论模型很好地解释了电场对复合区域的调制作用。  相似文献

A new type of superconducting film is studied at Peking University in order to improve the properties of sputter-coated films for superconducting cavities. NbN film and NbN–Nb film have been prepared by DC diode sputtering technology at certain nitrogen content and temperature. NbN film is prepared between copper and Nb film as a barrier against copper diffusion into Nb. Micro-structure analyses show that the NbN–Nb films grow well on the copper substrate. The Tc of the Cu–NbN–Nb increases to 9.5 K compared to the 9.2 K transition temperature of bulk Nb.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of bipolaron in non-degenerate polymer (e.g. PPV) in an external electric field by using a nonadiabatic evolution method, which allows transition between instantaneous electronic states. When the applied electric field exceeds a critical value, a bipolaron is found to dissociate like the case of polaron due to the lattice distortion not being able to follow the fast moving electrons. The critical value is estimated to be of order 106 V/cm106 V/cm. This result is consistent with experiment in that a large increase in current in PPV occurs at high fields. At a given electric field, the saturation velocity of bipolaron will decrease with the increase of non-degenerate parameters tete.  相似文献
