On the coefficients of a bounded univalent analytic function

LetF _M denote the class of univalent analytic functionsf in |z|<1 with the expansionf (z)=z+a ₂ z ²+a ₃ z ³+... and |f(z)|?M in |z|<1. In this note I derive a rough bound for alln-th coefficients and a more accurate bound for all the third coefficients of functionsf belonging toF _M.     

On some classes of bounded univalent mappings in several complex variables

Let B ⁿ be the Euclidean unit ball in C ⁿ . In this paper, we study several properties of strongly starlike mappings of order α (0 < α < 1) and bounded convex mappings on B ⁿ . We prove that K-quasiregular strongly starlike mappings of order α on B ⁿ have continuous and univalent extensions to ${\overline{B}^n}$ . We show that bounded convex mappings on B ⁿ are strongly starlike of some order α. We give a coefficient estimate for K-quasiregular strongly starlike mappings of order α on B ⁿ . Finally, we give examples of strongly starlike mappings of order α and bounded convex mappings on B ⁿ .     

Asymptotic estimates for the coefficients of bounded univalent functions

In the class of univalent bounded normalized holomorphic functions in the unit disk, we give an asymptotic estimate for the coefficients when the uniform norm of the modulus of the function tends to infinity.     

The sum of coefficients of bounded univalent functions

We solve the maximal value problem for the functional in the class of functionsf(z)=z+a ₂z²+… that are holomorphic and univalent in the unit disk and satisfy the inequality |f(z)|<M. We prove that the Pick functions are extremal for this problem for sufficiently largeM whenever the set of indicesk ₁,…,k_m contains an even number. A rotation theorem in the class of bounded univalent functions

Let S_M, M > 1, be the class of functionsf(z) which are regular and univalent in the disk ¦z¦ < 1 and satisfy the conditionsf(0) = 0,f'(0) = 1, and ¦f(z)¦ < M. In the present note we will obtain an exact estimate for the argument of the derivative of a function of the class S_M.     

On the multiple hyperbolic systems modelling phase transformation kinetics

We discuss Cahn’s time cone method modelling phase transformation kinetics. The model equation by the time cone method is an integral equation in the space-time region. First, we reduce it to a system of hyperbolic equations, and in the case of odd spatial dimensions, the reduced system is a multiple hyperbolic equation. Next, we propose a numerical method for such a hyperbolic system. By means of alternating direction implicit methods, numerical simulations for practical forward problems are implemented with satisfactory accuracy and efficiency. In particular, in the three dimensional case, our numerical method on the basis of reduced multiple hyperbolic equation is fast.

Straightening and bounded cohomology of hyperbolic groups

It was stated by M. Gromov [Gr2] that, for any hyperbolic group G, the map from bounded cohomology Hⁿ_b(G,\Bbb R) H^n_b(G,{\Bbb R}) to Hⁿ(G,\Bbb R) H^n(G,{\Bbb R}) induced by inclusion is surjective for n 3 2 n \ge 2 . We introduce a homological analogue of straightening simplices, which works for any hyperbolic group. This implies that the map Hⁿ_b(G,V) ? Hⁿ(G,V) H^n_b(G,V) \to H^n(G,V) is surjective for n 3 2 n \ge 2 when V is any bounded \Bbb QG {\Bbb Q}G -module and when V is any finitely generated abelian group.     

Curvature flow of complete hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space

In this paper we continue our study of finding the curvature flow of complete hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space with a prescribed asymptotic boundary at infinity. Our main results are proved by deriving a priori global gradient estimates and C ² estimates.
