We investigate BIBDs with three intersection numbers,x, y, and z, such that the relation on the block set given byA B iff the cardinality of the intersectionof A and B is not equal to x is an equivalence relation. Withsuch a design, we associate a family of strongly regular graphswith the same parameters. Two constructions producing infinitefamilies of such designs are given.  相似文献

A distribution function F on the nonnegative real line is called subexponential if limx(1-F *n (x)/(1 - F(x)) = n for all n 2, where F *n denotes the nfold Stieltjes convolution of F with itself. In this paper, we consider the rate of convergence in the above definition and in its density analogue. Among others we discuss the asymptotic behavior of the remainder term R n (x) defined by R n (x) = 1 - F*n(x) - n(1 - F(x)) and of its density analogue rn (x) = -(Rn (x))'. Our results complement and complete those obtained by several authors. In an earlier paper, we obtained results of the form n(x) = O(1)f(x)R(x), where f is the density of F and R(x) = 0 x (1-F(y))dy. In this paper, among others we obtain asymptotic expressions of the form R n(x)= 2 n R2(x) + O(1)(-f'(x))R2(x) where f' is the derivative of f.  相似文献

The rate-of-convergence problem in the central limit theorem is considered for -stable distributions on the noncommutative group of motions in d. The method used here is based on the theory of probability metrics.  相似文献

Some congruences on S (X) are investigated in this paper. A unique atom in the sublattice [C(E), C (E)] is determined for some spaces X and S-equivalences E and X.AMS Subject Classification (1991): 20M20 54H15  相似文献

We study multiple stable stochastic integrals. We begin with a definition of these integrals using a generalization of the LePage representation as Samorodnitsky et al. in Ref. 15 but with a simplified probabilistic background and for general stable measure when 0<<1 and for symmetric stable measure when 1<2. This representation allows to study the law of multiple stable integrals. We prove they are absolutely continuous using a stratification method on the Skorokhod space on which we have previously taken back the problem.  相似文献

The general quadratic group GQ 2n and its elementary subgroup EQ 2n are analogs in the theory of quadratic forms of the general linear group GL n and its elementary subgroup E n . This article proves that the stabilization map GQ 2n /EQ 2n GQ 2(n+1) /EQ 2(n+1) is an isomorphism whenever n +1 and S denotes the -stable rank of rings with anti-involution. As a corollary, a result is obtained which has been anticipated since the late 1960s: over rings of finite Bass–Serre dimension d, the stabilization map is an isomorphism whenever n d + 2.  相似文献

We pursue the fine analysis of the quasi-orderings and on the power set of a quasi-ordering (Q,). We set X Y if every xX is majorized in by some yY, and X Y if every yY is minorized in by some xX. We show that both these quasi-orderings are -wqo if and only if the original quasi-ordering is ( )-wqo. For this holds also restricted to finite subsets, thus providing an example of a finitary operation on quasi-orderings which does not preserve wqo but preserves bqo.  相似文献

In this paper we establish some conditions for an almost -domain to be a -domain. Next -lattices satisfying the union condition on primes are characterized. Using these results, some new characterizations are given for -rings.  相似文献

In this paper we show that the weakly -Engel conditions are closely related to the existance of normal -complements; while the -Engel conditions are closely related to the -nilpotent groups.AMS Subject Classification (2000): 20D20  相似文献

Within Archimedean -groups, and with an infinite cardinal or , we consider X-hulls where X stands for any of the following classes of -groups: -projectable; laterally -complete; boundedly laterally -complete; conditionally -complete; combinations of the preceding, together with divisibility and/or relative uniform completeness. All these hulls exist, and may be obtained by iterated adjunction of the required extra elements, within the essential hull. When the -groups is relatively -complemented one step in the iteration suffices for several crucial properties. We derive from the above a considerable number of equations involving combinations of these hull operators.  相似文献

Topological existence and stability for stackelberg problems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The aim of this paper is to study, in a topological framework, existence and stability for the solutions to a parametrized Stackelberg problem. To this end, approximate solutions are used, more precisely, -solutions and strict -solutions. The results given are of minimal character and the standard types of constraints are considered, that is, constant constraints, constraints defined by a finite number of inequalities, and more generally constraints defined by an arbitrary multifunction.  相似文献

A one-parameter generalization of the Brownian bridge is studied. These processes are then used to compute the laws of some quadratic functionals of Brownian motion, and to obtain identities in law involving local time of modified Bessel processes up to their first hitting time.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider variational inequalities with pseudomonotone maps which depend on a parameter and study the behavior of their solutions. The main result gives sufficient conditions for the stability of the initial variational inequality problem under small perturbations of the parameter. As an application, we obtain a stability result for a class of parametric optimization problems.  相似文献

In this paper we characterize the local structure of monotone and regular divergences, which include f-divergences as a particular case, by giving their Taylor expansion up to fourth order. We extend a previous result obtained by encov, using the invariant properties of Amari's -connections.  相似文献

For a cardinal , we say that a subset B of a space X is C -compact in X if for every continuous function is a compact subset of . If B is a C-compact subset of a space X, then (B, X) denotes the degree of C -compactness of B in X. A space X is called -pseudocompact if X is C -compact into itself. For each cardinal , we give an example of an -pseudocompact space X such that X × X is not pseudocompact: this answers a question posed by T. Retta in Some cardinal generalizations of pseudocompactness Czechoslovak Math. J. 43 (1993), 385–390. The boundedness of the product of two bounded subsets is studied in some particular cases. A version of the classical Glicksberg's Theorem on the pseudocompactness of the product of two spaces is given in the context of boundedness. This theorem is applied to several particular cases.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the notion of operator semirings of a -semiring to study -semirings. It is shown that the lattices of all left (right) ideals (two-sided ideals) of a -semiring and its right (respectively left) operator semiring are isomorphic. This has many applications to characterize various -semirings.AMS Subject Classification (2000): 16Y60, 16Y99  相似文献

For a ring R and a right R-module M, a submodule N of M is said to be -small in M if, whenever N + X = M with M/X singular, we have X = M. If there exists an epimorphism p: P M such that P is projective and Ker(p) is -small in P, then we say that P is a projective -cover of M. A ring R is called -perfect (resp., -semiperfect, -semiregular) if every R-module (resp., simple R-module, cyclically presented R-module) has a projective -cover. The class of all -perfect (resp., -semiperfect, -semiregular) rings contains properly the class of all right perfect (resp., semiperfect, semiregular) rings. This paper is devoted to various properties and characterizations of -perfect, -semiperfect, and -semiregular rings. We define (R) by (R)/Soc(RR) = Jac(R/Soc(RR)) and show, among others, the following results:
(1) (R) is the largest -small right ideal of R.
(2) R is -semiregular if and only if R/(R) is a von Neumann regular ring and idempotents of R(R) lift to idempotents of R.
(3) R is -semiperfect if and only if R/(R) is a semisimple ring and idempotents of R/(R) lift to idempotents of R.
(4) R is -perfect if and only if R/Soc(RR) is a right perfect ring and idempotents of R/(R) lift to idempotents of R.

Quasi-P*-maps and P(, , )-maps defined in this paper are two large classes of nonlinear mappings which are broad enough to include P*-maps as special cases. It is of interest that the class of quasi-P*-maps also encompasses quasimonotone maps (in particular, pseudomonotone maps) as special cases. Under a strict feasibility condition, it is shown that the nonlinear complementarity problem has a solution if the function is a nonlinear quasi-P*-map or P(, , )-map. This result generalizes a classical Karamardian existence theorem and a recent result concerning quasimonotone maps established by Hadjisawas and Schaible, but restricted to complementarity problems. A new existence result under an exceptional regularity condition is also established. Our method is based on the concept of exceptional family of elements for a continuous function, which is a powerful tool for investigating the solvability of complementarity problems.  相似文献

The paper introduces some mild requirements under which a Kan extension is a full embedding that preserves factorization systems and colimits of -directed diagrams. The existence of such Kan extensions is then used to establish conditions equivalent to algebraic universality of concrete categories such as varieties of algebras of any given similarity type.  相似文献

We determine the exact order of -complexity of the numerical integration problem for the anisotropic class Wr(Id) and Hr(Id) with respect to the worst case randomized methods and the average case deterministic methods. We prove this result by developing a decomposition technique of Borel measure on unit cube of d-dimensional Euclidean space. Moreover by the imbedding relationship between function classes we extend our results to the classes of functions Wp(Id) and Hp(Id). By the way we highlight some typical results and stress the importance of some open problems related to the complexity of numerical integration.
