得到了1维条件下电子均匀分布时,环形电子束在同轴波导内轴向传输的空间极限电流解析表达式。通过讨论解析式在薄电子束和波导内导体半径为0等极限条件下的近似情况,分析了其合理性。在电子束非均匀分布的条件下,对空间极限电流进行了数值求解,并与解析计算结果进行了比较。理论研究表明:环形电子束在同轴波导内具有较圆柱波导内更高的空间极限电流,而且当电子束靠近波导壁时,空间极限电流会显著提高。  相似文献

考虑环形束流的空间电荷效应与相对论状态下的自磁效应对离子通道——环形束流系统的影响,研究了通道中环形束流的轨道与场解的自洽平衡态.利用动力学理论得到了电子平衡态分布函数以及环形束流的径向位置和通道内电磁场的自洽解.研究发现,相对论束流的自场对系统平衡态有很大影响,并证实了系统自洽平衡态的存在.数值计算给出了束流位置与通道半径间随能量的分布关系以及通道内场随半径分布的规律,为相关器件的设计提供了重要的理论数据. 关键词: 离子通道 环形束流 动力学理论 自洽平衡态  相似文献

The theory of the wall instabilities of surface waves excited by an electron beam is developed. Their classification, linear, quasilinear and nonlinear theory is given. It is shown that dissipative instabilities convert practically all the energy lost by the beam into the heating of the lossy walls confining the beam.  相似文献

Measurements of the velocity angular distribution of a relativistic electron beam (0.8 MV, 6 kA, 150 ns) after propagation through hydrogen gas are presented. At a pressure of 25 Pa scattering of the beam electrons into a preferential angular interval is observed. At 190 Pa anomalously large scattering is observed, up to an angular width of 90°, during about 30 ns.  相似文献

A solution is presented for the problem of passage of a high-current relativistic electron beam through matter in the stationary case with one-dimensional geometry. The system of equations describing the passage of the beam consists of the kinetic equation for fast electrons, which considers the effect of the electric field on the magnitude and direction of particle momentum, the equations for the field produced by the space charge generated by thermalized electrons, and relations connecting the conductivity of the medium to the radiation field. Higher-order perturbation theory is used for the solution. The solutions reveal that the distribution of expended energy, thermalized electrons, and other properties of the flow are highly dependent on the density of the incident flux and the conductivity of the medium. It will be shown that linear transfer theory may be applied to calculation of the passage of high-current beams through matter over a wide range of currents and conductivities, if the barrier thickness does not exceed one-half the path length, but cannot be used for calculation of passage through large-thickness barriers, i.e., with thickness comparable to the electron free path length.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 9, pp. 67–74, September, 1979.The author thanks A. The nonlinear period in the interaction of a relativistic electron beam (REB) with an electromagnetic wave in a spiral waveguide at the stage of saturation is investigated for a Cherenkov interaction mechanism. On the basis of the kinetic equation and laws of energy and momentum conservation, analytical relations are obtained, allowing the efficiency of excitation and amplification of the electromagnetic wave to be studied using REB in a retarding structure. The possibility was demonstrated of hardening a steel surface layer by alloying it using the energy of relativistic electrons. Investigations were made of how the structure, hardness, and depth of the hardened layer depend on the processing regime and on the initial temperature of the steel in the case of alloying with boron carbide and with Cr+C and Cr+B4C mixtures. The greatest hardening was achieved by alloying with a mixture of Cr and B4C powders. This was due to a higher volume fraction of the second phase in the layer and to the precipitation of chromium carboborides. 对入射等离子体的相对论电子注(REB)在离子通道中可能产生切连科夫(Cherenkov)辐射的问题进行了论证与研究.利用线性理论分析了离子背景下的注-波互作用关系,导出了系统的色散方程与同步辐射条件.结果表明,系统的电磁不稳定性是由离子通道中TM模与电子注模通过电子注耦合所致,其微观机理是离子对电子注的聚焦.对处于运动等离子体状态下的离子-注系统进行了严格地理论分析,获得了通道内辐射波的频偏与波增长率公式,并通过数值模拟计算讨论了系统有关参数对它们的影响. 关键词: 离子通道 等离子体 切连科夫辐射  相似文献

在惯性约束聚变(ICF)电子束快点火物理方案中,需要超强拍瓦激光脉冲驱动MeV能量的强流电子束,并沉积数十kJ能量到压缩氘氚芯区。强流电子束的束流品质是影响点火成功的关键因素之一,为深入了解强流电子束产生物理过程,研制成了三维高性能、适应上万CPU核规模的并行粒子模拟程序,并开展了大规模数值模拟研究,探索了强流电子束的产生机制和输运规律。回顾了近几年来快点火研究团队围绕强流电子束产生和控制开展的研究,介绍了导致束流品质差的两大物理原因:预等离子体效应和束流不稳定性磁场的随机散射。针对这两个物理原因,提出了四种提高强流电子束品质的方法:(1)双层金锥靶减弱预等离子体的负面效应;(2)输运丝产生环向磁场准直强流电子束;(3)外加磁场导引强流电子束提高耦合效率;(4)抑制束流不稳定性以降低随机磁场对电子束流的散射。  相似文献

Some properties of an analytic electrostatic model of relativistic electron beam propagation in vacuum, developed by Poukey and Rostoker [1], are evaluated. In a one-dimensional model the initial phase of the injection of a relativistic electron beam into a plasma is studied, both analytically and computationally. The parametric instability driven by the primary spectrum of the hydrodynamic two-stream instability produced by a relativistic electron beam in a plasma is investigated. The saturated level of the primary wave electric field is determined by electron trapping in the potential well of the wave or by the quasilinear beam relaxation process. After saturation, the primary wave collapses by way of the oscillating two-stream instability. The cases of the strong and weak primary electric field in comparison with the thermal energy of a plasma are considered. For a strong field the growth rates of the parametric instability and plasma heating due to the latter are found. Ion heating is not significant in comparison with electron heating (approximately as the cube root of the mass ratio). In a weak field the parametric oscillating two-stream spectrum of saturation is found. In the one-dimensional case this spectrum of electric field energy fluctuations varies as k−2 if the fluctuation field exceeds the threshold pump electric field for the oscillating two-stream instability. For the weak field plasma heating rate is found. Since the energy transfer is via Landau damping, the particle heating is characterized by the formation of high-energy tails on the distribution function.  相似文献
