通过使用波长 800nm、重复频率 250kHz的飞秒激光脉冲聚焦进Li2O-Nb2O5-SiO2组分的玻璃内部,空间选择性诱导出铌酸锂微晶.为了进一步地研究辐照区域晶体的生长机制,使用显微拉曼光谱仪分析了玻璃样品辐照区域不同位置的结构变化.研究表明,在飞秒激光辐照一段时间后的聚焦区域,由于非线性效应和热累积效应形成了一个高温辐射梯度场,在激光辐照中心区域超过玻璃的析晶温度而促使玻璃熔融析晶.  相似文献

We report on space-selective growth of a second-harmonic-generation beta-BaB(2)O(4) (BBO) crystal inside a BaO-Al(2)O(3)-B(2)O(3) glass sample at the focal point of an 800-nm femtosecond laser beam. A spherical heated region was formed during the focused laser irradiation through observation with an optical microscope. We moved the heated region by changing the position of the focal point of the laser beam relative to the glass sample. We grew BBO crystal continuously in the glass sample by adjusting the moving speed of the heated zone. Our results demonstrate that functional crystals can be formed three dimensionally in glasses by use of a nonresonant ultrashort pulsed laser.  相似文献

We describe a systematic investigation on void structures fabricated by femtosecond laser irradiation inside dielectric materials for fabrication of a compact optical circuit. Void shapes fabricated in 5 different dielectric materials were compared and the physical constants determining the void shape were discussed. A long void array is obtainable in a material which has a low critical power for self-focusing. It was also indicated that the coefficient of thermal expansion is a dominant governing factor to fabricate a precise void which has a clear boundary. Furthermore, we propose and design a Mach-Zehnder interferometer in fused silica composed of optical waveguides and photonic crystals to verify practical application of a void array. Simulation results of the optical propagation in a Mach-Zehnder interferometer indicated that the photonic crystals using a void array have potential to fabricate compact optical circuits.  相似文献

We report cw and femtosecond laser operations under diode pumping of a diffusion-bonding heterocomposite Yb-doped crystal: Yb3+:SrY4(SiO4)3O parallel Y2Al5O12(YAG paralell SYS:Yb). To show the advantages of this heterocomposite crystal over classical Yb:SYS crystal, we first investigate the high-power cw regime. A cw power of 4.3 W is demonstrated. The femtosecond regime is also investigated, and 1-W-average-power, 130-fs pulses at 1070 nm are produced, which represents, to our knowledge, the first demonstration of an Yb-doped heterocomposite mode-locked laser.  相似文献

We investigate the mechanism of formation of periodic void arrays inside fused silica and BK7 glass irradiated by a tightly focused femtosecond (fs) laser beam. Our results show that the period of each void array is not uniform along the laser propagation direction, and the average period of the void array decreases with increasing pulse number and pulse energy. We propose a mechanism in which a standing electron plasma wave created by the interference of a fs-laser-driven electron wave and its reflected wave is responsible for the formation of the periodic void arrays. We demonstrate that quasi-periodic void structure can be self-formed in transparent materials by single femtosecond laser pulse. Compared to the multiple-pulse induced structures, the single-pulse induced void structures are very short and may contain absent voids. The formation mechanisms have been discussed comparatively in detail. Based on this, a technique for high-speed and large-area fabrication of micro-void arrays in transparent materials has been presented. The experimental results show that 3D micro-void structures which contain over several hundred thousand voids in micrometer scales are produced in areas of square millimeters within a few minutes, and the periods of micro-void structures can be easily varied by processing parameters. This work has potential applications in 3D optical storage, photonic crystal and integrated optics, and provides novel insight into the interaction between the single femtosecond pulse and the transparent materials.  相似文献

飞秒激光微加工作为一种新型微纳制造技术,在复杂三维构型制作方面具有其独特的优势,但激光加工效率问题严重制约了飞秒激光微加工技术走向实际工程应用,提出一种飞秒激光湿法刻蚀微纳制造方法,以提高飞秒激光微加工的效率为突破口,通过调控激光与物质相互作用获得材料的目标靶向改性,进而结合化学湿法刻蚀实现硬质材料上的高效和高精度三维微加工,采用这一方法制作出的微透镜尺寸为80 m,球冠高6.7 m,表面粗糙度小于10 nm。利用这种方法,实现了不同结构与特性的高质量微透镜阵列的超精密制备,在石英内部也实现了螺旋微通道的复杂三维结构,螺旋通道直径为20 m,长径比超过100。  相似文献

飞秒激光在军事、医学、通讯、加工等领域有着重要应用,已经成为新世纪激光技术领域的研究热点。得益于激光二极管(LD)的快速发展,以LD作为泵浦源成为新型全固态飞秒激光器的发展趋势。Yb^3+离子掺杂的激光晶体材料因其独特的能级结构、宽带吸收与发射等优势,逐渐成为LD直接泵浦并实现1.0μm飞秒激光输出的重要增益介质。详细总结了当前掺Yb^3+飞秒激光晶体的研究进展,分析了目前存在的主要问题,给出了未来飞秒激光晶体发展的两个建议方向:高效率小功率飞秒激光和大功率高能量飞秒激光。以Yb^3+:Sr3Y2(BO3)4晶体为例,详细研究了其晶体生长、光谱、连续与飞秒激光性能,并实现了中心波长在1060 nm处脉宽为116 fs,平均输出功率为1.08 W,光光转换效率为33.1%的高效率飞秒激光输出,表明Yb^3+:Sr3Y2(BO3)4及其同体系晶体是一类优异的高效率飞秒激光材料。  相似文献

High frequency responses of intrinsic Josephson junctions up to 2.5 THz, including the observation of Shapiro steps under various conditions, are reported and discussed in this Letter. The sample was an array of intrinsic Josephson junctions singled out from inside a high T(C) superconducting Bi2Sr2CaCu2O(8+x) single crystal, with a bow-tie antenna integrated to it. The number of junctions in the array was controllable, the junctions were homogeneous, the distribution of applied irradiation among the junctions was even, and the junctions could synchronously respond to high frequency irradiation.  相似文献

To establish optimal processing conditions for direct write fabrication of diffractive optical elements such as gratings, waveguides, lenses, we have investigated the effect of process parameters such as scan speed, numerical aperture (NA) of objective lens, pulse energy on the characteristics of the filament induced inside fused silica with a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser. The optimum process parameters were used to fabricate a number of Dammann gratings, 6×6 array, having different thicknesses and number of layers. The performance of these optical elements was evaluated by measuring their diffraction efficiencies. All gratings fabricated were strongly birefringent, the zero order spot with high intensity was not separated from the spot array, and the intensity distribution of 6×6 spot array exhibited some degree of nonuniformity. The single layer Dammann grating fabricated with a thickness of 80 μm attained a maximum diffraction efficiency of 38.8%.  相似文献

采用了不同能量的单脉冲和多脉冲飞秒激光对LiNbO3晶体进行烧蚀,并刻蚀了表面衍射型光栅.通过扫描电镜和原子力显微镜观察了烧蚀点的形貌特征,首次发现利用单束飞秒激光脉冲对LiNbO3晶体烧蚀,可以得到超衍射极限的烧蚀点,当聚焦光斑直径约为2μm、能量为170nJ的单脉冲飞秒激光作用时,烧蚀点的直径约为400nm,100nJ,17个脉冲作用时烧蚀点的直径约为800nm.同时可以观察到在能量较低的多脉冲飞秒激光作用下, LiNbO3晶体呈现出大约200nm周期性分布的波纹状结构.实验结果表明,选择合适参数的飞秒激光脉冲可以对LiNbO3晶体进行超衍射极限加工,这对于利用飞秒激光制作LiNbO3基质的微纳光电子器件有十分重要的意义.  相似文献

This paper reports self-organized nanostructures observed on the surface of ZnO crystal after irradiation by a focused beam of a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser with a repetition rate of 250kHz. For a linearly polarized femtosecond laser, the periodic nanograting structure on the ablation crater surface was promoted. The period of self-organization structures is about 180 nm. The grating orientation is adjusted by the laser polarization direction. A long range Bragglike grating is formed by moving the sample at a speed of 10μm/s. For a circularly polarized laser beam, uniform spherical nanoparticles were formed as a result of Coulomb explosion during the interaction of near-infrared laser with ZnO crystal.  相似文献

We report on the microstructure formation in Foturan glass, induced by 1~kHz, 120 femtosecond laser irradiation. It is found that the line-shaped filamentation, not void array tends to be formed in this glass. This is different from our previous experimental results in fused silica and BK7 glasses. A possible mechanism Ag$^+$ captures the free electrons generated by laser, is proposed to explain the observed phenomena.  相似文献

After the photoexcitation by a femtosecond laser pulse inside a LiF single crystal, four cracks appear in the <110> directions of the crystal from the photoexcited region. In our previous study, we found that a femtosecond laser-induced stress wave is responsible for generation and elongation of cracks inside a LiF single crystal. This finding suggests that we can control laser-induced cracks by modulating laser-induced stress waves. In this study, we applied parallel fs laser irradiation with a spatial light modulator to generate multiple stress waves at the same time, and found the modulation of crack formation; one crack became thinner and shorter than any other cracks. By a pump-probe imaging of dynamics of crack generation, we showed that the constructive interference of stress waves at a crack tip could compress the crack, which results in a thinner and shorter crack.  相似文献

基于LiF∶F2晶体在近红外飞秒脉冲激光作用下产生F2色心向F+3色心的转变,以及两种色心荧光光谱的不同,实现了荧光反射共焦读出和多光子写入的三维光数据存储的原理性实验.钛宝石再生放大器输出的脉冲宽度100 fs、中心波长800 nm、重复频率1 kHz的超短脉冲激光束,用数值孔径0.68的显微物镜聚焦到LiF:F2晶体内部,通过移动晶体实现了三维逐位式数据写入;用405 nm的连续蓝光激发存储位,通过探测F+3色心产生的540 nm荧光,实现了对信息位进行快速非破坏性的反射共焦读出.与多光子三维存储的透射共焦散射读出和相衬读出相比,格式与现存光盘技术兼容,结构简单;更重要的是,存储信息位是依靠荧光光谱的变化,折射率变化很小,可以有效增加读出层数.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrated a diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked femtosecond(fs) laser with a self-frequency doubling Yb:YCa_4O(BO_3)_3 crystal.Sub-40 fs laser pulses were directly generated from the oscillator without extracavity compression.The central wavelength was tunable from 1039 nm to 1049 nm with a typical bandwidth of 35 nm and an average output power of 53 mW.For the first time,a self-frequency doubled second harmonic green laser with tunable range from 519 nm to 525 nm was observed.  相似文献

 利用氧化钕和盐酸为原料制得Nd(phen)2Cl3(三氯二邻菲罗啉合钕),测得其光谱特性并以稀土氧化钕、苯甲酸和邻菲罗啉为原料制得绿色液体激光介质钕离子的配合物——NdB3phen(三苯甲酸—邻菲罗啉合钕).利用飞秒激光器,采用单光束Z-扫描法研究了NdB3phen的三阶非线性光学特性.结果表明:当入射飞秒激光脉冲波长为400 nm,峰值功率密度为2.94×1014 W/m2,脉宽为117 fs时,测得样品NdB3phen的非线性折射率为-2.84×10-18 cm2/W|NdB3phen在开孔条件下呈现反饱和吸收现象,测出双光子吸收系数的值为9.11×10-12 m/W.实验结果表明,NdB3phen的双光子吸收系数和非线性折射率随着光强的增强而增大.  相似文献

A microlens array (MLA) was applied for femtosecond laser microfabrication. Two-dimensional periodic patterns that corresponded to the arrangement of lenses in the MLA were recorded by ablation on a glass surface. The two-dimensional periodic patterns were recorded by a single exposure without scanning of the laser beam or the sample, and worked as a grating.
