Let X be a smooth connected compact projective variety over . We study the Shafarevich conjecture concerning holomorphic convexity along the lines of Kollárs approach, when the fundamental group of X admits large finite dimensionnal representations. We prove that, given n, the topological covering space
of a projective algebraic compact complex manifold X corresponding to the intersection of the kernels of all linear reductive representations of 1(X) to GLn() is holomorphically convex. In the surface case, this is a corollary of a theorem due to Katzarkov and Ramachandran. 相似文献

A subalgebraA ?O(R) is calledfull (“voll”), if (F1) for every point ??R there is a function f∈A with a simple zero at ? and no other zeros; (F2) if f, g∈A and f/g has no poles, then f/∈A. In 1971 Ian RICHARDS set the problem whether full subalgebras are dense inO(R), with respect to the topology of compact convergence. We answer this question in the positive, using a lemma of I. RICHARDS and theorems of R. ARENS and the author. Does this approximation theorem remain true for Stein manifolds of dimension n>1, if one modifies condition (F1) in a natural way? Motivated by the problem of longitudinal data assimilation, e.g., in the registration of a sequence of images, we develop the higher-order framework for Lagrangian and Hamiltonian reduction by symmetry in geometric mechanics. In particular, we obtain the reduced variational principles and the associated Poisson brackets. In this work we prove the rationality of the series ?(t) for a class of isometrically equivalent polynomials of m variables, m ≥ 2, containing the sum of two forms ?n(x, y) + ?n+1(x, y) respectively of degrees n and n+1, n ≥ 2. In this article we first adapt their proof to the more general context of a hypoelliptic diffusion.
