Ethyl formate and other substituted ethyl formates exist in stable anti and gauche conformations about the COCC dihedral angle, according to microwave spectroscopic studies. Similar studies of ethyl thiolformates characterize stable gauche conformations about the corresponding CSCC dihedral angle in every compound studied, but the anti conformation is found only in ethyl fluorothiolformate and chlorothiolformate. Ab initio calculations that include electron correlation via MP2 or the B3LYP density functional model have been carried out for ethyl and methyl formate and thiolformate and their fluoroformate analogs. These calculations reveal that the potential energy minima at gauche and anti COCC configurations are well developed in every case. However, although the gauche minimum for the CSCC torsional angle is clearly defined, the potential function near the anti CSCC configuration corresponds to a potential energy plateau rather than a minimum. In the case of ethyl fluorothiolformate, a modest well is predicted at the anti CSCC configuration, in agreement with experimental results. The addition of secondary and primary amines to ethyl (1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)propynoate affords an easily separable mixture of the corresponding ethyl 3-dialkylaminoor 3-alkylamino-3-(1-amino-9,10-anthraquinon-2-yl)acrylate and 3-dialkylamino- or 3-alkylaminonaphthol[2,3-h]quinoline-2(1H), 7,12-trione (in ∼4: 1 ratio). Intramolecular cyclization of the resulting substituted ethyl acrylates results in the formation of 4-dialkylaminoor 4-alkylamino-2-chlorinated pyridine rings. Subsequent nucleophilic substitution of the chlorine atom gives 2-functionalized 4-dialkylamino- or 4-alkylaminonaphtho[2,3-h]quinoline-7,12-diones. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. The influence of the position and nature of the substituent in the thiophene ring on the fragmentation of 3-alkyl- and 5-alkyl-2-thienylamines under electron impact was studied. The derivatives containing the ethyl group in position 3 decompose due to both the elimination of the fragments from the substituents and thiophene ring rupture. In the case of the compounds with thetert-butyl group in position 5, the last process is not observed. The fragmentation of the 3- and 5-methyl-substituted derivatives occurs mainly from the isomeric thiopyran form of the molecular ion. For Part 2, see Ref. 1. Deceased. New di-o-quinones of the biphenyl series, namely, 2,2′-dialkyl-5,5′-di-tert-butylbiphenyl-3,4,3′,4′-diquinones, were synthesized. Their structures were established by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The molecular structure of 2,2′-dimethyl-5,5′-di-tert-butylbiphenyl-3,4,3′,4′-diquinone was established by X-ray structural analysis. The structure is characterized by orthogonal (the torsion angle is 82.9°) mutual arrangement ofo-benzoquinone fragments. ESR studies demonstrated that chemical reduction of diquinone proceeds in four oneelectron stages to form paramagnetic mono- and trianions as intermediates. Quinopyrocatechols, which are intermediates in the synthesis of di-o-quinones, were isolated and characterized. Reaction of 2-alkylthio-6-aminopyrimidin-4(3H)-ones with ethyl bromopyruvate to give ethyl 2-alkyl-thio-4-aminofuro[2,3-d]pyrimidine-5-carboxylates has been shown to proceed under neutral or acidic conditions. The obtained furo[2,3-d]pyrimidines underwent further cyclocondensation reaction with ethyl bromopyruvate to afford diethyl 5-alkylthiofuro[3,2-e]imidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidine-2,9-dicarboxy-lates. Capillary gas chromatography was used to study noncovalent sorption ofn-butyl,n-hexyl, andn-octyl acetates from aqueous solutions by corn starch cryotextures. In the concentration range of 0.5–15.0 mmol L−1, about 38%n-butyl acetate, 70%n-hexyl acetate, and 98%n-octyl acetate are extracted from aqueous solutions. The sorption of the alkyl acetates depends on the alkyl chain length, indicating the hydrophobic character of their interaction with the corn starch cryotexture. No competitive sorption between acetates in the mixture was observed. Binding of alkyl acetates occurs during the cryosponge formation, due probably to the templation at the stage of starch sol, fixation in the cryosponge, and sorption on the surface of its walls. N-tert-Butoxycarbonyl-7-and N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-8-bromo-10-azabicyclo[4.3.1]deca-3,7-dienes are convenient substrates for further modification using replacement of the Br atom by a cyano group or a Li atom. Treatment of lithium derivatives with dimethylformamide and N-methoxy-N-methylacetamide gave the corresponding α,β-unsaturated aldehydes (67–84%) and ketones (∼70%). The partial molar free energy, enthalpy, and entropy of sorption of C11−C23 n-alkanes were calculated on the basis of the GC data obtained on the glass capillary column coated with fullerene C60 (Ful-60) as stationary phase. The thermodynamic parameters ofn-alkane sorption on a column with Ful-60 and a fused silica capillary column with polydimethylsiloxane OV-1 were determined and compared. The enthalpy-entropy compensation effect for the sorption ofn-alkanes on Ful-60 and OV-1 was found. A linear dependence of the partial molar free energy ofn-alkane sorption on the temperature of analysis and carbon chain length was found. The free energy contributions of the methylene groups were calculated, and their temperature dependences were studied. The differences in the temperature dependences of the energy contributions of methylene groups ofn-alkanes on Ful-60 and OV-1 were revealed. The entropy contribution is 68–82% of the enthalpy contribution which indicates a substantial role of the number of contacts with Ful-60 in retention ofn-alkanes. The ability of Ful-60 for dispersive interactions is similar to those of nonpolar liquid phases and substantially differs from that for carbon adsorbents. Densities of solutions of oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids in n-hexane and n-heptane were measured using a vibrating-tube densimeter at 298.15 K in a concentration range of 0–0.012 molar fractions of solute. The measurement error does not exceed ±5·10−6 g cm−3. The limiting partial molar volumes of fatty acids of the studied series in n-hexane and n-heptane and the excess volume properties of binary mixtures were calculated. On going from oleic to linolenic acid, the number of double bonds (>C=C<) in a solute molecule increases, the hydrocarbon chain length in a solvent molecule decreases, and compactness of the structure packing of the resulting solution increases. This is caused, as a whole, by the enhancement of the n-alkane—acid intermolecular interaction. Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. The influence of the composition of catalytic systems and the method for H2 feed into the reaction area on the degree of conversion of CO2 during its joint transformations with ethanol and on the selectivity of formation of liquid organic products (ethyl acetate, acetaldehyde, and hydrocarbons) was studied atp=15 atm andT=573 K. A noticeable conversion of CO2 and ethanol into ethyl acetate and acetaldehyde was observed in the presence of only the intermetallic compound, its composition with a palladium-containing catalyst, and the whole ternary catalytic system. The selectivity of the reaction changed when the binary catalytic composition consisting of the intermetallic and γ-Al2O3 was used. In this case, the fraction of C9–C14 alkenes and alkenes with normal and iso structures was mostly formed; its content was as high as 40%. The degree of conversion of CO2 reached 30–36% and the selectivity to liquid products was 70–80% only when the hydrogen desorbed from the intermetallic was used. In our research into chlorophylls of marine dinoflagellates, chlorophyll a was separated rapidly from the hexane extract of Amphidinium carterae in three steps. The first step was silica gel column chromatography, where elution was performed with 0–50% ethyl acetate in n-hexane. The second was high-speed counter-current chromatography using a two-phase solvent system consisting of n-hexane–ethyl acetate–methanol–water (5:5:5:1, v/v), and the third step was preparative reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography using a solvent system of acetone–water (89:11, v/v). HPLC analysis showed that the purity of chlorophyll a from the second step was over 83%, and after the third it was over 99%. Thirty milligrams of chlorophyll a was isolated from a crude sample of 250 mg of chlorophylls, and its structure was identified by analyzing its MS, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations of chloride complexes of Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, and Bi in anomalous oxidation states (2S1/2 electron state) were carried out by the Becke-Lee-Yang-Parr density functional method using the Dunning-Hay LanL2DZ basis set. Optimum geometric parameters and electronic characteristics of MCl n (H2O) m n (n=1–4 andm=0,4,5) complexes were determined. In each of the considered series the spin, population on the central metal atom decreases as its atomic number increases. The energy of transition of the unpaired electron to the lowest unoccupied MO decreases in the same order. The unpaired electron occupies an orbital that is mostly a linear combination of the s-orbital of the metal atom and the p-orbital of the Cl atom (the antibonding σ-orbital of the M−Cl bond). Distinctions in the changes in spectral properties of aquacomplexes and chloride complexes in isoelectronic series, observed as the degree of oxidation of the metal atom increases, were explained. Summary. A new type of silica precursor was synthesized by (trans)alkoxylation of alkoxy- and chlorosilanes with ethyl (L)-lactate. This novel ethyl lactate modified silane was hydrolyzed and condensed in the presence of a non-ionic surfactant – poly(ethylene oxide)–poly(propylene oxide)–poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer (P123) – to give monolithic silica gels. The wet gels were dried using two different drying techniques resulting in crack-free monoliths: a) supercritical drying with CO2 to yield a porous inorganic material and b) surface silylation with trimethylchlorosilane to yield an inorganic–organic nanocomposite material. The structure and conformational stability of ethyl pseudohalides CH3CH2 — XCN (X = O, S, Se) were investigated using ab initiocalculations at the MP2 level of theory with a triple- basis set augmented with polarization and diffusion functions. Full optimization was performed on the minimum energy structures as well as on the transition state forms. The relative stabilities of rotational conformers were calculated at the MP4 level using MP2 optimized reference geometries. The nature of all considered stationary points was verified by calculation of the harmonic vibrational frequencies. The calculated bond lengths, bond angles, dipole moments, and rotational constants of optimized global minima structures agree very well with the corresponding experimental data obtained from microwave spectroscopic studies. Also, available experimental frequencies are in good accord with the theoretical values. For ethyl cyanate CH3CH2 — OCN, the antiperiplanar (trans) form is predicted to be more stable than the synclinal (gauche) form, and the synperiplanar (cis) form corresponds to the transition state. For both ethyl thiocyanate CH3CH2 — SCN and ethyl selenocyanate CH3CH2 — SeCN, the gaucheform is the global minimum while the trans-conformer is a local minimum and the cis-form is a transition state.  相似文献

The far-infrared spectra (350–35 cm–1) of gaseous ethyl methyl ether-d 0 and ethyl methyl-d 3-ether have been recorded at a resolution of 0.10 cm–1. For the d 0 species, the fundamental asymmetric torsion of the more stable trans conformer (two methyl moieties are trans to one another) has been observed at 115.40 cm–1 with four upper state transitions falling to lower frequency, whereas, for the gauche form, it has been observed at 93.56 cm–1 with two excited states falling to lower frequency. the corresponding series for the d 3 species start from 106.00 and 87.10 cm–1, respectively. From these data, the asymmetric torsional potential coefficients for the d 0 species have been determined to be: V 1 = 572 ± 30; V 2 = 85 ± 8; V 3 = 619 ± 30; V 4 = 175 ± 18, and V 6 = –28 ± 3 cm–1. The trans to gauche and gauche to gauche barriers were calculated to be 958 cm–1 (11.5 kJ/mol) and 631 cm–1 (7.55 kJ/mol), respectively, with an energy difference of 550 ± 6 cm–1 (6.58 ± 0.07 kJ/mol). Utilizing three conformer pairs, variable temperature studies (–105 to –150°C) of the infrared spectra of the d 0 sample dissolved in liquid krypton gave an enthalpy difference of 547 ± 28 cm–1 (6.54 ± 0.33 kJ/mol) with the trans conformer the more stable rotamer. It is estimated that there is only 4% of the gauche conformer present at ambient temperatures. The structural parameters, conformational stabilities, barriers to internal rotation, and fundamental vibrational frequencies, which have been determined experimentally, are compared to those obtained from ab initio gradient predictions from RHF/6-31G* and with full electron correlation at the MP2 level with three different basis sets. The adjusted r 0 structural parameters have been obtained for the trans conformer from combined ab initio MP2/6-311+G** predictions and previously reported microwave rotational constants. The reported distances should be accurate to 0.003 Å and the angles to 0.5°. These results are compared to the corresponding quantities obtained for some similar molecules.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the heat capacityC 0 p of fullerites C60 were studied at temperatures ranging from 5 to 320 K in an adiabatic vacuum calorimeter with an accuracy of 0.4–0.2%. The fullerite C60 samples were prepared by treating the starting fullerite C60 under 8 GPa at 920 and 1270 K and “quenched” by a sharp decrease in pressure to −105 Pa and in temperature to ∼300 K. Fullerite C60(8 GPa, 920 K), a crystalline polymer with layered structure formed by polymerized fullerene C60 molecules, was obtained at 920 K and 8 GPa. Fullerite C60(8 GPa, 1270 K), a three-dimensional polymer with a graphite-like structure formed by fragments of decomposed C60 molecules and containing many C(sp3)−C(sp3) bonds, was obtained at 1270 K and 8 GPa. Both polymers are metastable polymeric phases. The anomalous character of the temperature dependence of the heat capacity was revealed in the 49–66 K range for the polymer formed at 1270 K. The thermodynamic functions of the substances under study were calculated for the 0–320 K region along with entropies of their formation from graphite. A simple TLC method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of heraclenin and heraclenol in the roots of Heracleum candicans D.C. The analytes were separated on silica gel F254 plates with toluene:ethyl acetate (7:3) and scanned using densitometry at 366 nm. The method was validated in terms of precision, repeatability and accuracy. The linear range for heraclenin was found to be 4 - 10 μg per spot with correlation coefficient of 0.997 while for heraclenol it was 1–5 μg per spot with a correlation coefficient of 0.985. The two compounds were quantified in different samples of H. candicans and were found to be present in the range of 1.02 – 1.36% and 0.29 – 0.43% w/w. The method was found to be very simple, accurate, precise and economical and can be used for routine quality control.  相似文献

The contributions of methylene and difluoromethylene units of six homologous and six pseudohomologous series of esters ofn-perfluoroalkanoic acids to the differential molar free energy, enthalpy, and entropy of sorption on stationary phases of different polarities in glass capillary columns under isothermal conditions were calculated. The features observed characterize the peculiarities of the sorption of esters of polyfluorinated carboxylic acids on phases of different polarities and make it possible to estimate the enthalpy and entropy contributions to the energy of sorption of the esters, the effect of the temperature of the analysis and the length of the alkyl or polyfluoroalkyl chain on the retention parameters of the compound analyzed. Strychnos nux vomica is an important plant source for drugs of ayurvedic and homeopathic system of medicine. In this paper a thin layer chromatographic (TLC) method has been developed for the quantitative estimation of the two major alkaloids strychnine and brucine in the plant fruit and in ayurvedic and homeopathic drugs. Chloroform–ethyl acetate–diethyl amine (0.5:8.5:1) as mobile phase gave clear separation with no interference between the bioactive markers. The R f values for strychnine and brucine were 0.55 and 0.42. The TLC method was found to be precise, rugged, robust and accurate with recovery of strychnine in the range 93.11–99.82% and brucine 96.95–99.48%. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for strychnine were 1.9 and 8.25 ng and for brucine 2.2 and 9.2 ng respectively.  相似文献
