We investigate Verma modules V over the generalized Virasoro current algebrag, which is the semidirect sum of the Virasoro algebra and the central extension of a commutative algebra. It is shown that an arbitrary unitary representation with highest weight of algebrag is isomorphic to the tensor product of a unitary Fock representation ofg (or of a one-dimensional representation ofg) and a unitary representation with highest weight of the Virasoro algebra (considered as a representation of algebrag). A pro-C*-algebra is a (projective) limit of C*-algebras in the category of topological *-algebras. From the perspective of non-commutative geometry, pro-C*-algebras can be seen as non-commutative k-spaces. An element of a pro-C*-algebra is bounded if there is a uniform bound for the norm of its images under any continuous *-homomorphism into a C*-algebra. The *-subalgebra consisting of the bounded elements turns out to be a C*-algebra. In this paper, we investigate pro-C*-algebras from a categorical point of view. We study the functor (−) b that assigns to a pro-C*-algebra the C*-algebra of its bounded elements, which is the dual of the Stone-Čech-compactification. We show that (−) b is a coreflector, and it preserves exact sequences. A generalization of the Gelfand duality for commutative unital pro-C*-algebras is also presented.  相似文献

Let (W,I) be a finite Coxeter group. In the case where W is a Weyl group, Berenstein and Kazhdan in [A. Berenstein, D. Kazhdan, Geometric and unipotent crystals. II. From unipotent bicrystals to crystal bases, in: Quantum Groups, in: Contemp. Math., vol. 433, Amer. Math. Soc., Providence, RI, 2007, pp. 13–88] constructed a monoid structure on the set of all subsets of I using unipotent χ-linear bicrystals. In this paper, we will generalize this result to all types of finite Coxeter groups (including non-crystallographic types). Our approach is more elementary, based on some combinatorics of Coxeter groups. Moreover, we will calculate this monoid structure explicitly for each type.  相似文献

We study the properties of common spectral subspaces of the N generators of one-parameter (C0)-groups on different Banach spaces. The method of study is based on the functional calculus in the convolution algebra L1 (RN). The 0-Hecke algebra H n (0) is a deformation of the group algebra of the symmetric group \(\mathfrak{S}_{n}\) . We show that its coinvariant algebra naturally carries the regular representation of H n (0), giving an analogue of the well-known result for \(\mathfrak{S}_{n}\) by Chevalley–Shephard–Todd. By investigating the action of H n (0) on coinvariants and flag varieties, we interpret the generating functions counting the permutations with fixed inverse descent set by their inversion number and major index. We also study the action of H n (0) on the cohomology rings of the Springer fibers, and similarly interpret the (non-commutative) Hall–Littlewood symmetric functions indexed by hook shapes.  相似文献

We prove that the automorphisms of any separable C*-algebra that does not have continuous trace are not classifiable by countable structures up to unitary equivalence. This implies a dichotomy for the Borel complexity of the relation of unitary equivalence of automorphisms of a separable unital C*-algebra: Such relation is either smooth or not even classifiable by countable structures.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the classification of operators on complex separable Hilbert spaces, in the unitary equivalence sense and the similarity sense, respectively. We show that two strongly irreducible operators A and B are unitary equivalent if and only if W*(A+B)′≈M2(C), and two operators A and B in B1(Ω) are similar if and only if A′(AGB)/J≈M2(C). Moreover, we obtain V(H^∞(Ω,μ)≈N and Ko(H^∞(Ω,μ)≈Z by the technique of complex geometry, where Ω is a bounded connected open set in C, and μ is a completely non-reducing measure on Ω.  相似文献
