We prove that if for a continuous map ff on a compact metric space XX, the chain recurrent set, R(f)R(f) has more than one chain component, then ff does not satisfy the asymptotic average shadowing property. We also show that if a continuous map ff on a compact metric space XX has the asymptotic average shadowing property and if AA is an attractor for ff, then AA is the single attractor for ff and we have A=R(f)A=R(f). We also study diffeomorphisms with asymptotic average shadowing property and prove that if MM is a compact manifold which is not finite with dimM=2dimM=2, then the C1C1 interior of the set of all C1C1 diffeomorphisms with the asymptotic average shadowing property is characterized by the set of ΩΩ-stable diffeomorphisms.  相似文献

Suppose XX is a real qq-uniformly smooth Banach space and F,K:X→XF,K:XX are Lipschitz ??-strongly accretive maps with D(K)=F(X)=XD(K)=F(X)=X. Let uu denote the unique solution of the Hammerstein equation u+KFu=0u+KFu=0. An iteration process recently introduced by Chidume and Zegeye is shown to converge strongly to uu. No invertibility assumption is imposed on KK and the operators KK and FF need not be defined on compact subsets of XX. Furthermore, our new technique of proof is of independent interest. In this paper, we study degenerate CR embeddings ff of a strictly pseudoconvex hypersurface M⊂Cn+1MCn+1 into a sphere SS in a higher dimensional complex space CN+1CN+1. The degeneracy of the mapping ff will be characterized in terms of the ranks of the CR second fundamental form and its covariant derivatives. In 2004, the author, together with X. Huang and D. Zaitsev, established a rigidity result for CR embeddings ff into spheres in low codimensions. A key step in the proof of this result was to show that degenerate mappings are necessarily contained in a complex plane section of the target sphere (partial rigidity). In the 2004 paper, it was shown that if the total rank dd of the second fundamental form and all of its covariant derivatives is <n<n (here, nn is the CR dimension of MM), then f(M)f(M) is contained in a complex plane of dimension n+d+1n+d+1. The converse of this statement is also true, as is easy to see. When the total rank dd exceeds nn, it is no longer true, in general, that f(M)f(M) is contained in a complex plane of dimension n+d+1n+d+1, as can be seen by examples. In this paper, we carry out a systematic study of degenerate CR mappings into spheres. We show that when the ranks of the second fundamental form and its covariant derivatives exceed the CR dimension nn, then partial rigidity may still persist, but there is a “defect” kk that arises from the ranks exceeding nn such that f(M)f(M) is only contained in a complex plane of dimension n+d+k+1n+d+k+1. Moreover, this defect occurs in general, as is illustrated by examples.  相似文献

We study the well-posedness of general reflected BSDEs driven by a continuous martingale, when the coefficient ff of the driver has at most quadratic growth in the control variable ZZ, with a bounded terminal condition and a lower obstacle which is bounded above. We obtain the basic results in this setting: comparison and uniqueness, existence, stability. For the comparison theorem and the special comparison theorem for reflected BSDEs (which allows one to compare the increasing processes of two solutions), we give intrinsic proofs which do not rely on the comparison theorem for standard BSDEs. This allows to obtain the special comparison theorem under minimal assumptions. We obtain existence by using the fixed point theorem and then a series of perturbations, first in the case where ff is Lipschitz in the primary variable YY, and then in the case where ff can have slightly-superlinear growth and the case where ff is monotonous in YY with arbitrary growth. We also obtain a local Lipschitz estimate in BMOBMO for the martingale part of the solution.  相似文献

Under the assumption that EE is a reflexive Banach space whose norm is uniformly Gêteaux differentiable and which has a weakly continuous duality mapping JφJφ with gauge function φφ, Ceng–Cubiotti–Yao [Strong convergence theorems for finitely many nonexpansive mappings and applications, Nonlinear Analysis 67 (2007) 1464–1473] introduced a new iterative scheme for a finite commuting family of nonexpansive mappings, and proved strong convergence theorems about this iteration. In this paper, only under the hypothesis that EE is a reflexive Banach space which has a weakly continuous duality mapping JφJφ with gauge function φφ, and several control conditions about the iterative coefficient are removed, we present a short and simple proof of the above theorem.  相似文献

Let GG be a group. Any GG-module MM has an algebraic structure called a GG-family of Alexander quandles. Given a 2-cocycle of a cohomology associated with this GG-family, topological invariants of (handlebody) knots in the 3-sphere are defined. We develop a simple algorithm to algebraically construct nn-cocycles of this GG-family from GG-invariant group nn-cocycles of the abelian group MM. We present many examples of 2-cocycles of these GG-families using facts from (modular) invariant theory.  相似文献

Recently Proinov [P.D. Proinov, A generalization of the Banach contraction principle with high order of convergence of successive approximations, Nonlinear Analysis (2006), doi:10.1016/j.na.2006.09.008] generalized Banach contraction principle with high order of convergence. We extend some results of Proinov to the case of multi-valued maps from a complete metric space XX into the space of all nonempty proximinal closed subsets of XX. Our results not only generalize Nadler’s fixed-point theorem (in the case when TT is a mapping from a complete metric space XX into the space of all nonempty proximinal closed subsets of XX) but also gives high order of convergence. As an application, we obtain an existence theorem for first-order initial value problem.  相似文献

We develop a notion of nonlinear expectation–GG-expectation–generated by a nonlinear heat equation with infinitesimal generator GG. We first study multi-dimensional GG-normal distributions. With this nonlinear distribution we can introduce our GG-expectation under which the canonical process is a multi-dimensional GG-Brownian motion. We then establish the related stochastic calculus, especially stochastic integrals of Itô’s type with respect to our GG-Brownian motion, and derive the related Itô’s formula. We have also obtained the existence and uniqueness of stochastic differential equations under our GG-expectation.  相似文献

We prove the Arad–Herzog conjecture for various families of finite simple groups — if AA and BB are nontrivial conjugacy classes, then ABAB is not a conjugacy class. We also prove that if GG is a finite simple group of Lie type and AA and BB are nontrivial conjugacy classes, either both semisimple or both unipotent, then ABAB is not a conjugacy class. We also prove a strong version of the Arad–Herzog conjecture for simple algebraic groups and in particular show that almost always the product of two conjugacy classes in a simple algebraic group consists of infinitely many conjugacy classes. As a consequence we obtain a complete classification of pairs of centralizers in a simple algebraic group which have dense product. A special case of this has been used by Prasad to prove a uniqueness result for Tits systems in quasi-reductive groups. Our final result is a generalization of the Baer–Suzuki theorem for pp-elements with p≥5p5.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of the (one-parameter subgroup) γγ-condition for a map ff from a Lie group to its Lie algebra and establish αα-theory and γγ-theory for Newton’s method for a map ff satisfying this condition. Applications to analytic maps are provided, and Smale’s αα-theory and γγ-theory are extended and developed. Examples arising from initial value problems on Lie group are presented to illustrate applications of our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish an oscillation estimate of nonnegative harmonic functions for a pure-jump subordinate Brownian motion. The infinitesimal generator of such subordinate Brownian motion is an integro-differential operator. As an application, we give a probabilistic proof of the following form of relative Fatou theorem for such subordinate Brownian motion XX in a bounded κκ-fat open set; if uu is a positive harmonic function with respect to XX in a bounded κκ-fat open set DD and hh is a positive harmonic function in DD vanishing on DcDc, then the non-tangential limit of u/hu/h exists almost everywhere with respect to the Martin-representing measure of hh.  相似文献
