An improved model for structural vulnerability analysis of power networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Electric power networks have been studied as a typical example of real-world complex networks. Traditional models for structural vulnerability analysis appear to be all based on physical topological structure. In this paper, we depict a typical power network as a weighted graph based on electrical topology by introducing its bus admittance matrix, which embodies the important characteristics of power networks in a much more realistic structure. Furthermore, the numerical simulation for both the traditional dynamical model and the proposed electrical topological model are investigated based on the IEEE 300 bus system respectively. The comparison demonstrates that the improved model is more precise and highly efficient for the analysis of structural vulnerability of power networks.  相似文献

为分析公交复杂网络的拓扑性质, 本文以北京市为例, 选取截止到2010年7月的北京全市(14区、2县)的1165条公交线路和9618个公交站点为样本数据, 运用复杂网络理论构建起基于邻接站点的有向加权复杂网络模型. 该方法以公交站点作为节点, 相邻站点之间的公交线路作为边, 使得网络既具有复杂网络的拓扑性质同时节点(站点)又具有明确的地理坐标. 对网络中节点度、点强度、强度分布、平均最短路径、聚类系数等性质的分析显示, 公交复杂网络的度和点强度分布极为不均, 网络中前5%和前10%节点的累计强度分布分别达到22.43%和43.02%; 点强度与排列序数、累积强度分布都服从幂律分布, 具有无标度和小世界的网络特点, 少数关键节点在网络中发挥着重要的连接作用. 为分析复杂网络中的关键节点, 本文通过承载压力分析和基于"掠夺" 的区域中心节点提取两种方法, 得到了公交复杂网络中两类不同表现的关键节点. 这些规律也为优化城市公交网络及交通规划发展提供了新的参考建议.  相似文献

The concept of smart city gives an excellent resolution to construct and develop modern cities, and also demands infrastructure construction. How to build a safe, stable, and highly efficient public transportation system becomes an important topic in the process of city construction. In this work, we study the structural and robustness properties of transportation networks and their sub-networks. We introduce a complementary network model to study the relevance and complementarity between bus network and subway network. Our numerical results show that the mutual supplement of networks can improve the network robustness. This conclusion provides a theoretical basis for the construction of public traffic networks, and it also supports reasonable operation of managing smart cities.  相似文献

In several real networks large heterogeneity of links is present either in intensity or in the nature of relationships. Therefore, recent studies in network science indicate that more detailed topological information are available if weighted or multi-layer aspect is applied. In the age of globalization air transportation is a representative example of huge complex infrastructure systems, which has been analyzed from different points of view. In this paper a novel approach is applied to study the airport network as a weighted multiplex taking into account the fact that the rules and fashion of domestic and international flights differ. Restricting study to only topological features and their correlations in the system (disregarding traffic) one can see reasons why simple network approximation is not adequate.  相似文献

We propose a model of random diffusion to investigate flow fluctuations in complex networks. We derive an analytical law showing that the dependence of fluctuations with the mean traffic in a network is ruled by the delicate interplay of three factors, respectively, of dynamical, topological and statistical nature. In particular, we demonstrate that the existence of a power-law scaling characterizing the flow fluctuations at every node in the network cannot be claimed. We show the validity of this scaling breakdown under quite general topological and dynamical situations by means of different traffic algorithms and by analyzing real data.  相似文献

We generate a directed weighted complex network by a method based on Markov transition probability to represent an experimental two-phase flow. We first systematically carry out gas-liquid two-phase flow experiments for measuring the time series of flow signals. Then we construct directed weighted complex networks from various time series in terms of a network generation method based on Markov transition probability. We find that the generated network inherits the main features of the time series in the network structure. In particular, the networks from time series with different dynamics exhibit distinct topological properties. Finally, we construct two-phase flow directed weighted networks from experimental signals and associate the dynamic behavior of gas-liquid two-phase flow with the topological statistics of the generated networks. The results suggest that the topological statistics of two-phase flow networks allow quantitative characterization of the dynamic flow behavior in the transitions among different gas-liquid flow patterns.  相似文献

Transportation infrastructure of a country is one of the most important indicators of its economic growth. Here we study the Airport Network of India (ANI) which represents India’s domestic civil aviation infrastructure as a complex network. We find that ANI, a network of domestic airports connected by air links, is a small-world network characterized by a truncated power-law degree distribution and has a signature of hierarchy. We investigate ANI as a weighted network to explore its various properties and compare them with their topological counterparts. The traffic in ANI, as in the World-wide Airport Network (WAN), is found to be accumulated on interconnected groups of airports and is concentrated between large airports. In contrast to WAN, ANI is found to be having disassortative mixing which is offset by the traffic dynamics. The analysis indicates possible mechanism of formation of a national transportation network, which is different from that on a global scale.  相似文献

We present a comparative network-theoretic analysis of the two largest global transportation networks: the worldwide air-transportation network (WAN) and the global cargo-ship network (GCSN). We show that both networks exhibit surprising statistical similarities despite significant differences in topology and connectivity. Both networks exhibit a discontinuity in node and link betweenness distributions which implies that these networks naturally segregate into two different classes of nodes and links. We introduce a technique based on effective distances, shortest paths and shortest path trees for strongly weighted symmetric networks and show that in a shortest path tree representation the most significant features of both networks can be readily seen. We show that effective shortest path distance, unlike conventional geographic distance measures, strongly correlates with node centrality measures. Using the new technique we show that network resilience can be investigated more precisely than with contemporary techniques that are based on percolation theory. We extract a functional relationship between node characteristics and resilience to network disruption. Finally we discuss the results, their implications and conclude that dynamic processes that evolve on both networks are expected to share universal dynamic characteristics.  相似文献

Many bus transport networks(BTNs) have evolved into directed networks. A new representation model for BTNs is proposed, called directed-space P. The bus transport network of Harbin(BTN-H) is described as a directed and weighted complex network by the proposed representation model and by giving each node weights. The topological and weighted properties are revealed in detail. In-degree and out-degree distributions, in-weight and out-weight distributions are presented as an exponential law, respectively. There is a strong relation between in-weight and in-degree(also between out-weight and out-degree), which can be fitted by a power function. Degree–degree and weight–weight correlations are investigated to reveal that BTN-H has a disassortative behavior as the nodes have relatively high degree(or weight). The disparity distributions of out-degree and in-degree follow an approximate power-law. Besides, the node degree shows a near linear increase with the number of routes that connect to the corresponding station. These properties revealed in this paper can help public transport planners to analyze the status quo of the BTN in nature.  相似文献

时间序列复杂网络分析近些年已发展成为非线性信号分析领域的一个国际热点课题.为了能更有效地挖掘时间序列(特别是非线性时间序列)中的结构特征,同时简化时间序列分析的复杂度,提出了一种新的基于时间序列符号化结合滑窗技术模式表征的有向加权复杂网络建网方法.该方法首先按照等概率区段划分的方式将时间序列做符号化处理,结合滑窗技术确定不同时刻的符号化模式作为网络的节点;然后将待分析时间序列符号化模式的转换频次和方向作为网络连边的权重和方向,从而建立时间序列有向加权复杂网络.通过对Logistic系统不同参数设置对应的时间序列复杂网络建网测试结果表明,相比经典的可视图建网方法,本文方法的网络拓扑能更简洁、直观地展示时间序列的结构特征.进而,将本文方法应用于规则排列采集的自然风场信号分析,其网络特性指标能较准确地预测采集信号的排布规律,而可视图建网方法的网络特性指标没有任何规律性的结果.  相似文献

We propose a deterministic weighted scale-free small-world model for considering pseudofractal web with the co-evolution of topology and weight. Considering the fluctuations in traffic flow constitute a main reason for congestion of packet delivery and poor performance of communication networks, we suggest a recursive algorithm to generate the network, which restricts the traffic fluctuations on it effectively during the evolutionary process. We provide a relatively complete view of topological structure and weight dynamics characteristics of the networks such as weight and strength distribution, degree correlations, average clustering coefficient and degree-cluster correlations as well as the diameter.  相似文献

There is an explicit and implicit assumption in multimodal traffic equilibrium models, that is, if the equilibrium exists, then it will also occur. The assumption is very idealized; in fact, it may be shown that the quite contrary could happen, because in multimodal traffic network, especially in mixed traffic conditions the interaction among traffic modes is asymmetric and the asymmetric interaction may result in the instability of traffic system. In this paper, to study the stability of multimodal traffic system, we respectively present the travel cost function in mixed traffic conditions and in traffic network with dedicated bus lanes. Based on a day-to-day dynamical model, we study the evolution of daily route choice of travelers in multimodal traffic network using 10000 random initial values for different cases. From the results of simulation, it can be concluded that the asymmetric interaction between the cars and buses in mixed traffic conditions can lead the traffic system to instability when traffic demand is larger. We also study the effect of travelers' perception error on the stability of multimodal traffic network. Although the larger perception error can alleviate the effect of interaction between cars and buses and improve the stability of traffic system in mixed traffic conditions, the traffic system also become instable when the traffic demand is larger than a number. For all cases simulated in this study, with the same parameters, traffic system with dedicated bus lane has better stability for traffic demand than that in mixed traffic conditions. We also find that the network with dedicated bus lane has higher portion of travelers by bus than it of mixed traffic network. So it can be concluded that building dedicated bus lane can improve the stability of traffic system and attract more travelers to choose bus reducing the traffic congestion.  相似文献

Defining the importance of nodes in a complex network has been a fundamental problem in analyzing the structural organization of a network, as well as the dynamical processes on it. Traditionally, the measures of node importance usually depend either on the local neighborhood or global properties of a network. Many real-world networks, however, demonstrate finely detailed structure at various organization levels, such as hierarchy and modularity. In this paper, we propose a multiscale node-importance measure that can characterize the importance of the nodes at varying topological scale. This is achieved by introducing a kernel function whose bandwidth dictates the ranges of interaction, and meanwhile, by taking into account the interactions from all the paths a node is involved. We demonstrate that the scale here is closely related to the physical parameters of the dynamical processes on networks, and that our node-importance measure can characterize more precisely the node influence under different physical parameters of the dynamical process. We use epidemic spreading on networks as an example to show that our multiscale node-importance measure is more effective than other measures.  相似文献

The identification of key nodes plays an important role in improving the robustness of the transportation network. For different types of transportation networks, the effect of the same identification method may be different. It is of practical significance to study the key nodes identification methods corresponding to various types of transportation networks. Based on the knowledge of complex networks, the metro networks and the bus networks are selected as the objects, and the key nodes are identified by the node degree identification method, the neighbor node degree identification method, the weighted k-shell degree neighborhood identification method (KSD), the degree k-shell identification method (DKS), and the degree k-shell neighborhood identification method (DKSN). Take the network efficiency and the largest connected subgraph as the effective indicators. The results show that the KSD identification method that comprehensively considers the elements has the best recognition effect and has certain practical significance.  相似文献

It is commonly accepted that realistic networks can display not only a complex topological structure, but also a heterogeneous distribution of connection weights. In addition, time delay is inevitable because the information spreading through a complex network is characterized by the finite speeds of signal transmission over a distance. Weighted complex networks with coupling delays have been gaining increasing attention in various fields of science and engineering. Some of the topics of most concern in the field of weighted complex networks are finding how the synchronizability depends on various parameters of the network including the coupling strength, weight distribution and delay. On the basis of the theory of asymptotic stability of linear time-delay systems with complex coefficients, the synchronization stability of weighted complex dynamical networks with coupling delays is investigated, and simple criteria are obtained for both delay-independent and delay-dependent stabilities of the synchronization state. Finally, an example is given as an illustration testing the theoretical results.  相似文献

This study explores the space evolution of an urban public transport network, using empirical evidence and a simulation model validated on that data. Public transport patterns primarily depend on traffic spatial-distribution, demands of passengers and expected utility of investors. Evolution is an iterative process of satisfying the needs of passengers and investors based on a given traffic spatial-distribution. The temporal change of urban public transport network is evaluated both using topological measures and spatial ones. The simulation model is validated using empirical data from nine big cities in China. Statistical analyses on topological and spatial attributes suggest that an evolution network with traffic demands characterized by power-law numerical values which distribute in a mode of concentric circles tallies well with these nine cities.  相似文献

The proposed use of fiber-optic networks in launch vehicles is examined. A data bus architecture is defined, which would replace the mesh network connecting major second-stage avionic packages, in addition to one replacing the take-off minus zero umbilical link from the vehicle to the launch complex. The analysis for a Delta, including bus traffic, cost, and risk factors, led to the selection of n hybrid fiber/electrical network. Candidate termini were tested.  相似文献

Two kinds of filtered networks: minimum spanning trees (MSTs) and planar maximally filtered graphs (PMFGs) are constructed from dynamical correlations computed over a moving window. We study the evolution over time of both hierarchical and topological properties of these graphs in relation to market fluctuations. We verify that the dynamical PMFG preserves the same hierarchical structure as the dynamical MST, providing in addition a more significant and richer structure, a stronger robustness and dynamical stability. Central and peripheral stocks are differentiated by using a combination of different topological measures. We find stocks well connected and central; stocks well connected but peripheral; stocks poorly connected but central; stocks poorly connected and peripheral. It results that the Financial sector plays a central role in the entire system. The robustness, stability and persistence of these findings are verified by changing the time window and by performing the computations on different time periods. We discuss these results and the economic meaning of this hierarchical positioning.  相似文献

The properties of complex networks are highly influenced by border effects frequently found as a consequence of the finite nature of real-world networks as well as network sampling. Therefore, it becomes critical to devise effective means for sound estimation of network topological and dynamical properties while avoiding these types of artifacts. In the current work, an algorithm for minimization of border effects is proposed and discussed, and its potential is illustrated with respect to two real-world networks, namely bone canals and air transportation.  相似文献
