In this paper, we introduce some new function spaces of Sobolev type on metric measure spaces. These new function spaces are defined by variants of Poincaré inequalities associated with generalized approximations of the identity, and they generalize the classical Sobolev spaces on Euclidean spaces. We then obtain two characterizations of these new Sobolev spaces including the characterization in terms of a variant of local sharp maximal functions associated with generalized approximations of the identity. For the well-known Hajłasz–Sobolev spaces on metric measure spaces, we also establish some new characterizations related to generalized approximations of the identity. Finally, we clarify the relations between the Sobolev-type spaces introduced in this paper and the Hajłasz–Sobolev spaces on metric measure spaces.  相似文献

The traditional triadic 'Teaching System' (the teacher, the student and mathematics) and the new quaternary version (the teacher, the student, mathematics and new technologies), are studied according to Systems Theory. Systems Theory is described and the model of the traditional 'Teaching System' and that of the new system are analysed with the aid of this theory; that is the structure of each system (elements, interactions) and its function are described. A new technique of integral representations in ℂ n , which is different from the well-known Henkin technique, is given. By means of this new technique, a new integral formula for smooth functions and a new integral representation of solutions of the ∂-equations on strictly pseudoconvex domains in ℂ n are obtained. These new formulas are simpler than the classical ones, especially the solutions of the ∂-equations admit simple uniform estimates. Moreover, this new technique can be further applied to arbitrary bounded domains in ℂ n so that all corresponding formulas are simplified.  相似文献

A new approach for constructing efficient Runge-Kutta-Nyström methods is introduced in this paper. Based on this new approach a new exponentially-fitted Runge-Kutta-Nyström fourth-algebraic-order method is obtained for the numerical solution of initial-value problems with oscillating solutions. The new method has an extended interval of periodicity. Numerical illustrations on well-known initial-value problems with oscillating solutions indicate that the new method is more efficient than other ones.  相似文献

In this paper,we discuss the invariaut complete metric on the Cartan-Hartogs domain of the fourth type.Firstly,we find a new invariant complete metric,and prove the equivalence between Bergman metric and the new metric;Secondly,the Ricci curvature of the new metric has the super bound and lower bound;Thirdly,we prove that the holomorphic sectional curvature of the new metric has the negative supper bound;Finally,we obtain the equivalence between Bergman metric and Einstein-Kahler metric on the Cartan-Hartogs domain of the fourth type.  相似文献

Two classes of Riccati equations arising in the boundary control of parabolic systems are studied by direct methods. The new feature with respect to previous works on this subject is the low regularity of the final data. The classes considered here generalize those of [7]and [5]on one side, and of [14]on the other one. Completely new methods are used to obtain the solution of the Riccati equations, in both cases. The central theme is the dependence of the solutions on a «symmetric» norm of the final data, yielding these new results as well as a new proof of existence for the related algebraic Riccati equation under more general assumptions. The synthesis of the associated linear-quadratic-regulator problems is easily solved using these results.  相似文献

In two recent papers we overhauled the theory of ternary complementary pairs, focusing on questions relating to the possible weights of pairs, and special pairs from which all others can be derived, which we call “primitive.”Of particular interest at this time is a new refinement of the concept of primitivity, which necessitates some revisions to our tables. In this article we report on the state of the art with respect to primitive pairs and elaborate on some conjectures in light of new data.30 new primitive pairs are given; the status of 12 previously “primitive” pairs is changed to “imprimitive.”  相似文献

We generalize the classical Bochner formula for the heat flow on M to martingales on the path space PM and develop a formalism to compute evolution equations for martingales on path space. We see that our Bochner formula on PM is related to two‐sided bounds on Ricci curvature in much the same manner that the classical Bochner formula on M is related to lower bounds on Ricci curvature. Using this formalism, we obtain new characterizations of bounded Ricci curvature, new gradient estimates for martingales on path space, new Hessian estimates for martingales on path space, and streamlined proofs of the previous characterizations of bounded Ricci curvature.© 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

We consider the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through a rigid homogeneous porous medium. We propose a high-order discretisation based on Whitney finite elements, namely, Raviart-Thomas finite elements of degree r +?1 for the discharge and discontinuous piecewise polynomial finite elements of degree r for the pressure, with r ≥?0. We comment on the use of new degrees of freedom that have a clear physical meaning, the so-called weights on the small simplices, for the involved discharge and pressure fields. We describe a new numerical strategy to solve the discrete problem based on a tree-cotree block-decomposition of the unknowns that is natural when considering these new degrees of freedom. Preliminary numerical tests in two dimensions confirm the stability of the adopted method and the effectiveness of the new degrees of freedom.

In this paper, we first construct a new kind of basis functions by a recursive approach. Based on these basis functions, we define the Bézier-like curve and rectangular Bézier-like surface. Then we extend the new basis functions to the triangular domain, and define the Bernstein-Bézier-like surface over the triangular domain. The new curve and surfaces have most properties of the corresponding classical Bézier curve and surfaces. Moreover, the shape parameter can adjust the shape of the new curve and surfaces without changing the control points. Along with the increase of the shape parameter, the new curve and surfaces approach the control polygon or control net. In addition, the evaluation algorithm for the new curve and triangular surface are provided.  相似文献

We introduce a function model for the Teichmüller space of a closed hyperbolic Riemann surface.Then we introduce a new metric on the Teichmüller space by using the maximum norm on the function space.We prove that the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric is uniformly continuous. Moreover, we prove that the inverse of the identity, i.e., the identity map from the Teichmüller space equipped with this new metric to the Teichmüller space equipped with the Teichmüller metric, is continuous(but not uniformly). Therefore, the topology induced by the new metric is the same as the topology induced by the Teichmüller metric on the Teichmüller space.Finally, we give a remark about the pressure metric on the function model and the Weil-Petersson metric on the Teichmüller space.  相似文献

In this paper we develop a functional calculus for bounded operators defined on quaternionic Banach spaces. We consider the problem of locating, on a network, n new facilities that interact with m existing facilities. In addition, pairs of new facilities interact. This problem, the multimedian location problem on a network, is known to be NP-hard. We give a new integer programming formulation of this problem, and show that its linear programming relaxation provides a lower bound that is superior to the bound provided by a previously published formulation. We also report results of computational testing with both formulations.  相似文献

Instead of the standard estimate in terms of the spectral condition number we develop a new CG iteration number estimate depending on the quantity B = 1/ntr M/(det M)1/n, where M is an n × n preconditioned matrix. A new family of iterative methods for solving symmetric positive definite systems based on B-reducing strategies is described. Numerical results are presented for the new algorithms and compared with several well-known preconditioned CG methods.  相似文献

In this paper, based on a new intermediate transformation, a variable-coefficient projective Riccati equation method is proposed. Being concise and straightforward, it is applied to a new (2 + 1)-dimensional simplified generalized Broer–Kaup (SGBK) system. As a result, several new families of exact soliton-like solutions are obtained, beyond the travelling wave. When imposing some condition on them, the new exact solitary wave solutions of the (2 + 1)-dimensional SGBK system are given. The method can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

By means of a new technique of integral representations in C n given by the authors, we establish a new abstract formula with a vector function W for smooth functions on bounded domains in C n , which is different from the well-known Leray formula. This new formula eliminates the term that contains the parameter A from the classical Leray formula, and especially on some domains the uniform estimates for the $\bar \partial - equation$ are very simple. From the new Leray formula, we can obtain correspondingly many new formulas for smooth functions on many domains in C n , which are different from the classical ones, when we properly select the vector function W.  相似文献
