Intelligent control of dispersion management and tunable comb filtering in optical network appfications can be performed by using magneto-optic fiber Bragg gratings (MFBGs). When a nonuniform magnetic field is applied to the MFBG with a constant grating period, the resulting grating response is equivalent to that of a conventional chirped grating. Under a linearly nonuniform magnetic field along the grating, a linear dispersion is achieved in the grating bandgap and the maximal dispersion slope can come to 1260ps/nm2 for a l0-mm-long fiber grating at 1550nm window. Similarly, a Gaussian-apodizing sarnpled MFBG is also useful for magnetically tunable comb filtering, with potential application to clock recovery from return-to-zero optical signals and optical carrier tracking.  相似文献

 减小光栅表面的反射率以得到更高的衍射效率是目前光栅设计与制造中需要解决的重要问题之一。提出利用偏振光沿布儒斯特角入射时具有的特性来实现降低光栅表面反射率的方案,介绍了这种方案的物理模型,并利用严格耦合波分析法进行了模拟计算。计算结果显示,对入射光为TM偏振,波长0.35 μm,当光栅周期较长为2.80 μm时,以布儒斯特角入射的光波,它的表面反射被大大抑制;当光栅周期较短为0.21 μm时也有类似的结论,并且透射光的一级衍射效率极大值出现在刻槽深度为3.50 μm处附近,衍射效率大于95%。  相似文献

提出了光纤光栅啁啾化传感概念和传感机理,将光纤光栅微观分解为栅区长度范围的许多具有独立感知能力且彼此关联的有效作用子栅集,表述了有效作用子栅集与待测环境场空间梯度分布之间的对应关系,从而较好地解释了光纤光栅啁啾谱产生的内在机理.理论推导并实验验证了光栅啁啾谱各谱参量(波长、带宽和反射光强)与待测环境场(温度和应变)之间的对应关系,为利用单一光纤光栅实现多参量同时区分测量、任意非均匀空间分布场传感提供了科学有效的解决方法.  相似文献

研究了基于半导体光放大器(SOA)和双段级联取样光纤光栅构成的新型结构多波长激光器.设 计了取样光纤光栅,计算了其反射谱,模拟了多波长激光器的输出光谱.基于自行制作的SOA 和取样光纤光栅,进行了多波长激光器的实验研究,得到了间隔为0.8nm、输出功率不平坦 度小于1.0dB的11个波长输出.理论和实验两个方面都可以验证:与基于普通取样光栅的多波 长方案相比,基于双段级联取样光栅的方案能改善输出谱平坦度,并可提高可激射波长数. 关键词: 半导体光放大器 取样光纤光栅 多波长激光器  相似文献

将行波耦合激光、驻波光栅激光和静磁场作用于一个超冷原子系综,获得了由两个Bragg反射区和一个电磁感应透明区构成的动态可控光学微腔。对耦合激光、光栅激光和静磁场进行时间调制,将一个弱探测激光送入这一相干诱导光学微腔,使其形成周期振荡,然后再根据需要在一定时间延迟之后将其导出,将这一伴随着较弱能量损耗的探测脉冲受限传播过程视为一个有效的动态光存储机制。对提出的信息存储机制进行了数值模拟,讨论了它的优点和实用价值,提出了它的发展前景。  相似文献

提出了一种利用非均匀镀铜技术在光纤光栅的外包层镀上径向均匀轴向厚度渐变的铜膜,通过温度控制来调节光纤光栅的啁啾量,从而实现光纤光栅的色散可调,用于动态的色散补偿。在理论方面,建立了完整的热平衡方程,对轴向厚度渐变镀铜膜光纤光栅在温度控制下的受力情况进行分析;分析了光纤光栅在同时受到温度变化和非均匀应力时的反射、时延、色散等特性,并进行了数值仿真。在实验方面,在自制的均匀光纤光栅上利用先真空镀后电镀的方法镀上了轴向厚度渐变的铜膜,并对镀膜后的光纤光栅利用温度调节装置进行测试,不同温度变化下光纤光栅的特性和理论仿真结果基本一致,从而验证了理论分析的正确性。  相似文献

Optical fiber gratings have developed into a mature technology with a wide range of applications in various areas, including physical sensing for temperature, strain, acoustic waves and pressure. All of these applications rely on the perturbation of the period or refractive index of a grating inscribed in the fiber core as a transducing mechanism between a quantity to be measured and the optical spectral response of the fiber grating. This paper presents a relatively recent variant of the fiber grating concept, whereby a small tilt of the grating fringes causes coupling of the optical power from the core mode into a multitude of cladding modes, each with its own wavevector and mode field shape. The main consequence of doing so is that the differential response of the modes can then be used to multiply the sensing modalities available for a single fiber grating and also to increase the sensor resolution by taking advantage of the large amount of data available. In particular, the temperature cross‐sensitivity and power source fluctuation noise inherent in all fiber grating designs can be completely eliminated by referencing all the spectral measurements to the wavelength and power level of the core mode back‐reflection. The mode resonances have a quality factor of 105, and they can be observed in reflection or transmission. A thorough review of experimental and theoretical results will show that tilted fiber Bragg gratings can be used for high resolution refractometry, surface plasmon resonance applications, and multiparameter physical sensing (strain, vibration, curvature, and temperature).  相似文献

利用耦合模方程对正弦型Tapered光纤光栅的反射谱进行了较为详细的计算和分析,并从实验上进行了验证。利用叠加均匀周期光纤光栅的模板和周期性振幅光栏一次成栅的方法,获得了具有三个反射峰、中心波长间隔为0.8nm的Tapered光纤光栅,这种光栅具有类似于梳状滤波器的功能,在多波长光纤激光器等方面有重要应用。  相似文献

We introduce photoreprogrammable dual-function gratings, which show different diffraction in transmission and reflection. Parallel metal lines on the photochromic diarylethene (DAE) surface were prepared by selective metal deposition, enabling one-dimensional diffraction in transmission and reflection. Then, another isomerization pattern was programmed on the DAE layer by light irradiation. This grating generated unique diffraction: one-dimensional diffraction in the reflection but two-dimensional diffraction in the transmission, and a dual-function grating was achieved. This programmed state on the DAE layer could be erased by UV irradiation and could be reprogrammed to generate different diffraction by visible laser scanning. This result shows the great potential of the photoreprogrammable dual-function grating as a key element in various future optical devices and systems.  相似文献

A scheme of nonlinear optical four-wave mixing of two counterpropagating laser beams on the surface of a semiconductor is proposed and analyzed. It is shown that the density modulation of the electron-hole plasma current carriers in the light-induced grating manifests itself in the probe beam depolarization signal after the reflection from the surface, which is sensitive to the state of the surface and presence of complex molecules on it.  相似文献

Electrical poling induces polar ordering of molecules in a grating that has been holographically inscribed on a thin film of polymer with azobenzene side chains. The resulting chi2 grating, seen by second-harmonic-generation (SHG) near-field scanning optical microscopy, can have a periodic structure that is significantly different from the topographical image. The far-field linear and SHG diffration patterns correlate well with the grating structures. Poling of the thin-film grating, which presumably has photodriven nonuniform material properties within each period, leads to the more complex structure of the chi2 grating.  相似文献

将有限元法和传输矩阵法相结合,系统地研究了保偏微结构光纤(PM-MOF)啁啾布拉格光栅的折射率传感特性。仿真研究了光纤空气孔中充入不同折射率被测物时啁啾光栅的反射谱,结果表明随着被测物折射率的增加,反射谱的面积出现明显变化,由此得到了光栅反射谱面积与被测物折射率的关系。分析了中心孔直径、啁啾系数、切趾函数等光栅结构参数对反射谱的影响。分析表明由于光纤两个方向的偏振模对温度、噪声等干扰响应相似,因此利用两个偏振模式反射谱的相对变化进行监测能够有效地降低干扰,提高传感器的稳定性;其次,由于反射谱面积正比于光强,这一方法将光栅的光谱解调转化为光强解调,简化了解调系统,便于现场实时测量。研究结果为保偏微结构光纤光栅在折射率传感器及其生物传感器方面的应用提供了理论依据。  相似文献

为了实现在侧边抛磨光纤(SPF)上制作布拉格光栅结构并提高器件设计灵活性,利用重铬酸盐明胶(DCG)作为光刻材料,提出一种新型的光纤表面布拉格光栅制作方法并对该器件温度传感特性进行研究。使用轮式抛磨系统制作SPF,并在SPF侧抛面上旋涂DCG,通过干涉光束曝光显影制作表面布拉格光栅。光谱测量表明:带有布拉格光栅的侧边抛磨光纤在1 480.2 nm处有透射谷,在相应位置反射谱有明显反射峰,其调制幅度达到15.9 dB,这是由于表面光栅的布拉格反射所致。温度传感实验表明,该布拉格反射峰的温度灵敏度为17.84 pm/℃。这种器件已在光纤传感和光纤滤波器等方面获得应用。  相似文献

The tunability of nonuniform reflection holographic filter is investigated theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that the reflection holographic filter has not only high optical density and narrow bandwidth, but also good tunability. The coupled wave theoretical model for uniform medium is compared with the model for nonuniform medium. It is identified that the coincidence of the theoretical results of the nonuniform model with the experimental results are better than that of the uniform model.  相似文献

A phenomenon about optical bistability is successfully investigated in a layered structure consisting of a silver film with Kerr medium and a silver grating sandwiched between semi-infinite linear dielectrics.This type of structure can lead to the optical bistability phenomena occurring in reflection and transmission.There exists an optimal thickness of the metal grating that can cut off the effect of the near-field enhancement and may have the lowest effect on conversion from surface plasmon to light.This structure can realize the functions of the beam splitter and the polarization splitter and will be essential for future classical and quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present two diode laser setups that employ volume holographic transmission gratings to provide optical feedback. The advantage of this kind of grating is high diffraction efficiency and the possibility to place optical elements on both sides of the grating. This allows for advanced external cavities and adjustable feedback efficiency. The first setup is a diode laser in the Littman configuration with the transmission grating replacing the conventional reflection grating. The second setup improves the frequency selectivity by substituting the feedback mirror with a passive resonator. This grating-enhanced external cavity diode laser (GECDL) achieves excellent frequency stability. A prototype of the GECDL setup demonstrates an intrinsic linewidth of 7 kHz and an operation range that covers the full amplification profile of the laser diode.  相似文献

基于啁啾脉冲放大技术的超短脉冲激光系统是提供超快、超强激光的重要途径,具有良好输出波形和高损伤阈值的多层介质膜脉冲宽度压缩光栅是获得高峰值功率脉冲激光的关键. 基于傅里叶谱变换方法和严格模式理论,分析了多层介质膜光栅(MDG)在超短脉冲作用下的光学特性. 结果表明,当MDG的反射带宽小于具有高斯分布的入射脉冲的频谱宽度时,-1级反射脉冲呈非对称高斯分布,其前沿出现振荡,并且-1级反射脉冲能量开始剧烈下降. 讨论了MDG结构参数对其反射带宽的影响. 分析了MDG与超短脉冲作用时的近场光分布,对提高其抗激光损 关键词: 脉冲压缩光栅 傅里叶谱变换 模式理论 损伤阈值  相似文献

The reflection grating method is a special case of the well-known reflection moiré principle. Whereas this moiré effect is suitable for measurement of the slope and curvature of deformed object surfaces by superposition of at least two grating images, the same results can be determined using only one reflected grating image without moiré lines.Some fundamental relationships between grating lines, optical setup and the desired deformation are developed and compared with the simplifications that are known from the moiré principle. The theory is tested using a circular plate, uniformly loaded and clamped at the circumference.  相似文献
