Let C be a small category and R a commutative ring with identity. The cohomology ring of C with coefficients in R is defined as the cohomology ring of the topological realization of its nerve. First we give an example showing that this ring modulo nilpotents is not finitely generated in general, even when the category is finite EI. Then we study the relationship between the cohomology ring of a category and those of its subcategories and extensions. The main results generalize certain theorems in group cohomology theory. 相似文献

Suppose k is a field. Let A and B be two finite dimensional k-algebras such that there is a stable equivalence of Morita type between A and B. In this paper, we prove that (1) if A and B are representation-finite then their Auslander algebras are stably equivalent of Morita type; (2) The n-th Hochschild homology groups of A and B are isomorphic for all n≥1. A new proof is also provided for Hochschild cohomology groups of self-injective algebras under a stable equivalence of Morita type. 相似文献

Throughout the paper k denotes a fixed field. All vector spaces and linear maps are k-vector spaces and k-linear maps, respectively. By Z, N, and N+, we denote the sets of integers, nonnegative integers, and positive integers, respectively. For i,j∈Z, [i,j]:={l∈Z∣i≤l≤j} (in particular, [i,j]=∅ if i>j). 相似文献

We make a general study of Quillen model structures on abelian categories. We show that they are closely related to cotorsion
pairs, which were introduced by Salce [Sal79] and have been much studied recently by Enochs and coauthors [EJ00]. This gives
a method of constructing model structures on abelian categories, which we illustrate by building two model structures on the
category of modules over a (possibly noncommutative) Gorenstein ring. The homotopy category of these model structures is a
generalization of the stable module category much used in modular representation theory. This stable module category has also
been studied by Benson [Ben97].

We consider the relationship between the relative stable category of and the usual singularity category for group algebras with coefficients in a commutative noetherian ring. When the coefficient ring is self-injective we show that these categories share a common, relatively large, Verdier quotient. At the other extreme, when the coefficient ring has finite global dimension, there is a semi-orthogonal decomposition, due to Poulton, relating the two categories. We prove that this decomposition is partially compatible with the monoidal structure and study the morphism it induces on spectra. 相似文献

Simple and semisimple additive categories are studied. We prove, for example, that an artinian additive category is (semi)simple iff it is Morita equivalent to a division ring(oid). Semiprimitive additive categories (that is, those with zero radical) are those which admit anoether full, faithful functor into a category of modules over a division ringoid. 相似文献

We study cluster algebras with principal and arbitrary coefficient systems that are associated to unpunctured surfaces. We give a direct formula for the Laurent polynomial expansion of cluster variables in these cluster algebras in terms of certain paths on a triangulation of the surface. As an immediate consequence, we prove the positivity conjecture of Fomin and Zelevinsky for these cluster algebras.Furthermore, we obtain direct formulas for F-polynomials and g-vectors and show that F-polynomials have constant term equal to 1. As an application, we compute the Euler-Poincaré characteristic of quiver Grassmannians in Dynkin type A and affine Dynkin type . 相似文献

We define derived equivalent invariants for gentle algebras, constructed in an easy combinatorial way from the quiver with relations defining these algebras. Our invariants consist of pairs of natural numbers and contain important information about the algebra and the structure of the stable Auslander-Reiten quiver of its repetitive algebra. As a by-product we obtain that the number of arrows of the quiver of a gentle algebra is invariant under derived equivalence. Finally, our invariants separate the derived equivalence classes of gentle algebras with at most one cycle. 相似文献

For the cluster category of a hereditary or a canonical algebra, or equivalently for the cluster category of the hereditary category of coherent sheaves on a weighted projective line, we study the Grothendieck group with respect to an admissible triangulated structure. 相似文献

We establish the homological foundations for studying polynomially bounded group cohomology, and show that the natural map from PH*(G;Q) to H*(G;Q) is an isomorphism for a certain class of groups. 相似文献

From the viewpoint of higher dimensional Auslander–Reiten theory, we introduce a new class of finite dimensional algebras of global dimension n, which we call n-representation infinite. They are a certain analog of representation infinite hereditary algebras, and we study three important classes of modules: n-preprojective, n-preinjective and n -regular modules. We observe that their homological behaviour is quite interesting. For instance they provide first examples of algebras having infinite Ext1-orthogonal families of modules. Moreover we give general constructions of n-representation infinite algebras. 相似文献

A general formula is proved for the change in the Schur index of a central simple algebra on passing from the ground field F to the function field F(X) of a twisted flag variety X, i.e., a projective variety such that there is an adjoint semisimple algebraic group G acting on X over F such that the action becomes transitive over the separable closure of F. The general formula encompasses special cases previously proved where X is a Brauer-Severi variety, or a generic partial splitting variety of a central simple algebra, or the transfer of such a variety, a quadric, or the involution variety of an algebra with orthogonal involution. For the classical simple groups G of inner type, all the corresponding varieties X are described, and the specific index reduction formula is given for each such X.The second author would like to express his thanks to J.-L. A finite poset X carries a natural structure of a topological space. Fix a field k, and denote by Db(X) the bounded derived category of sheaves of finite dimensional k-vector spaces over X. Two posets X and Y are said to be derived equivalent if Db(X) and Db(Y) are equivalent as triangulated categories. We give explicit combinatorial properties of X which are invariant under derived equivalence; among them are the number of points, the Z-congruency class of the incidence matrix, and the Betti numbers. We also show that taking opposites and products preserves derived equivalence. For any closed subset Y⊆X, we construct a strongly exceptional collection in Db(X) and use it to show an equivalence Db(X)?Db(A) for a finite dimensional algebra A (depending on Y). We give conditions on X and Y under which A becomes an incidence algebra of a poset. We deduce that a lexicographic sum of a collection of posets along a bipartite graph S is derived equivalent to the lexicographic sum of the same collection along the opposite .This construction produces many new derived equivalences of posets and generalizes other well-known ones.As a corollary we show that the derived equivalence class of an ordinal sum of two posets does not depend on the order of summands. We give an example that this is not true for three summands. 相似文献

Families of pairs of matrix-valued meromorphic functions
(,P) depending on two parameters andP are introduced. They are the projective analogues of classes of functions studied in [1] and include as special cases the projective Schur, Nevanlinna and Carathéodory classes. A two sided Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem is defined and solved in
(,P), using the fundamental matrix inequality method. 相似文献

We study the Hochschild homology of algebras related via split pairs, and apply this to fiber products, trivial extensions, monomial algebras, graded-commutative algebras and quantum complete intersections. In particular, we compute lower bounds for the dimensions of both the Hochschild homology and cohomology groups of quantum complete intersections. 相似文献

Let k be an algebraically closed field and A a k-linear hereditary category satisfying Serre duality with no infinite radicals between the preprojective objects. If A is generated by the preprojective objects, then we show that A is derived equivalent to for a so-called strongly locally finite quiver Q. To this end, we introduce light cone distances and round trip distances on quivers which will be used to investigate sections in stable translation quivers of the form ZQ. 相似文献

Using results from extremal graph theory, we determine the asymptotic number of string graphs with n vertices, i.e., graphs that can be obtained as the intersection graph of a system of continuous arcs in the plane. The number
becomes much smaller, for any fixed d, if we restrict our attention to systems of arcs, any two of which cross at most d times. As an application, we estimate the number of different drawings of the complete graph Kn with n vertices under various side conditions.
