In this paper we construct non-negative gradings on a basic Brauer tree algebra AΓ corresponding to an arbitrary Brauer tree Γ of type (m,e). We do this by transferring gradings via derived equivalence from a basic Brauer tree algebra AS, whose tree is a star with the exceptional vertex in the middle, to AΓ. The grading on AS comes from the tight grading given by the radical filtration. To transfer gradings via derived equivalence we use tilting complexes constructed by taking Green’s walk around Γ (cf. Schaps and Zakay-Illouz (2001) [17]). By computing endomorphism rings of these tilting complexes we get graded algebras. We also compute , the group of outer automorphisms that fix the isomorphism classes of simple AΓ-modules, where Γ is an arbitrary Brauer tree, and we prove that there is unique grading on AΓ up to graded Morita equivalence and rescaling.  相似文献

We construct a map from the classifying space of a discrete Kac–Moody group over the algebraic closure of the field with p elements to the classifying space of a complex topological Kac–Moody group and prove that it is a homology equivalence at primes q different from p. This generalizes a classical result of Quillen, Friedlander and Mislin for Lie groups. As an application, we construct unstable Adams operations for general Kac–Moody groups compatible with the Frobenius homomorphism. Our results rely on new integral homology decompositions for certain infinite dimensional unipotent subgroups of discrete Kac–Moody groups.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. The objective of this paper is twofold. First we prove that the cellular Bredon homology groups with coefficients in an arbitrary coefficient system M are isomorphic to the homotopy groups of certain topological abelian group. And second, we study ramified covering G-maps of simplicial sets and of simplicial complexes. As an application, we construct a transfer for them in Bredon homology, when M is a Mackey functor. We also show that the Bredon-Illman homology with coefficients in M satisfies the equivariant weak homotopy equivalence axiom in the category of G-spaces.  相似文献

A polyhedral group G is defined to be the orientation-preserving subgroup of a discrete reflection group acting on hyperbolic 3-space H3, and having a fundamental polyhedron of finite volume. A special presentation for G is obtained from the geometry of the polyhedron. This gives G the structure of a graph amalgamation product, and which, in some cases, splits as a free product with amalgamation. The simplest examples of polyhedral groups are the so-called tetrahedral groups. Other examples are given amongst the the groups PGL(2,Om), where Om is the ring of algebraic integers in the quadratic imaginary field Q(-m), m>0.  相似文献

A finite poset X carries a natural structure of a topological space. Fix a field k, and denote by Db(X) the bounded derived category of sheaves of finite dimensional k-vector spaces over X. Two posets X and Y are said to be derived equivalent if Db(X) and Db(Y) are equivalent as triangulated categories. We give explicit combinatorial properties of X which are invariant under derived equivalence; among them are the number of points, the Z-congruency class of the incidence matrix, and the Betti numbers. We also show that taking opposites and products preserves derived equivalence. For any closed subset YX, we construct a strongly exceptional collection in Db(X) and use it to show an equivalence Db(X)?Db(A) for a finite dimensional algebra A (depending on Y). We give conditions on X and Y under which A becomes an incidence algebra of a poset. We deduce that a lexicographic sum of a collection of posets along a bipartite graph S is derived equivalent to the lexicographic sum of the same collection along the opposite .This construction produces many new derived equivalences of posets and generalizes other well-known ones.As a corollary we show that the derived equivalence class of an ordinal sum of two posets does not depend on the order of summands. We give an example that this is not true for three summands.  相似文献

We consider 2-local geometries and other subgroup complexes for sporadic simple groups. For six groups, the fixed point set of a noncentral involution is shown to be equivariantly homotopy equivalent to a standard geometry for the component of the centralizer. For odd primes, fixed point sets are computed for sporadic groups having an extraspecial Sylow p-subgroup of order p3, acting on the complex of those p-radical subgroups containing a p-central element in their centers. Vertices for summands of the associated reduced Lefschetz modules are described.  相似文献

We say that an algebra A is periodic if it has a periodic projective resolution as an (A,A)-bimodule. We show that any self-injective algebra of finite representation type is periodic. To prove this, we first apply the theory of smash products to show that for a finite Galois covering BA, B is periodic if and only if A is. In addition, when A has finite representation type, we build upon results of Buchweitz to show that periodicity passes between A and its stable Auslander algebra. Finally, we use Asashiba’s classification of the derived equivalence classes of self-injective algebras of finite type to compute bounds for the periods of these algebras, and give an application to stable Calabi-Yau dimensions.  相似文献

We associate several distribution boundary values to an eigenfunction with moderate growth on a riemannian symmetric space G/K; the associated character of the algebra D(G/K) of invariant differential operators is allowed to be non-regular. We prove results on the support of these boundary values. These allow us to recover the theorems of Matsuki-Oshima and Oshima on the equivalence between growth of an eigenfunction and limitations on the supports of its boundary values. Our approach is based on an asymptotic analysis that makes no use of hyperfunction theory.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive quasi-split algebraic group over a field L which is a finite extension of the p-adic numbers. We construct an exact sequence modelled on (the dual of) the BGG resolution involving locally analytic principal series representations for G(L). This leads to an exact sequence involving spaces of overconvergent p-adic automorphic forms for certain groups compact modulo centre at infinity.  相似文献

We prove that non-uniform arithmetic lattices of SL2(C) and consequently the Bianchi groups are conjugacy separable. The proof is based on recent deep results of Agol, Long, Reid and Minasyan. The conjugacy separability of groups commensurable with limit groups is also established.  相似文献

The Hardy spaces H2(D2) can be conveniently viewed as a module over the polynomial ring C[z1,z2]. Submodules of H2(D2) have connections with many areas of study in operator theory. A large amount of research has been carried out striving to understand the structure of submodules under certain equivalence relations. Unitary equivalence is a well-known equivalence relation in set of submodules. However, the rigidity phenomenon discovered in [Douglas et al., Algebraic reduction and rigidity for Hilbert modules, Amer. J. Math. 117 (1) (1995) 75-92] and some other related papers suggests that unitary equivalence, being extremely sensitive to perturbations of zero sets, lacks the flexibility one might need for a classification of submodules. In this paper, we suggest an alternative equivalence relation, namely congruence. The idea is motivated by a symmetry and stability property that the core operator possesses. The congruence relation effectively classifies the submodules with a finite rank core operator. Near the end of the paper, we point out an essential connection of the core operator with operator model theory.  相似文献

We classify every finitely axiomatizable theory in infinite-valued propositional ?ukasiewicz logic by an abstract simplicial complex (V,Σ) equipped with a weight function ω:V→{1,2,…}. Using the W?odarczyk–Morelli solution of the weak Oda conjecture for toric varieties, we then construct a Turing computable one–one correspondence between (Alexander) equivalence classes of weighted abstract simplicial complexes, and equivalence classes of finitely axiomatizable theories, two theories being equivalent if their Lindenbaum algebras are isomorphic. We discuss the relationship between our classification and Markov’s undecidability theorem for PL-homeomorphism of rational polyhedra.  相似文献

We construct three groups Λ1,Λ2,Λ3, which can all be decomposed as amalgamated products F9F81F9 and have very few normal subgroups of finite or infinite index. Concretely, Λ1 is a simple group, Λ2 is not simple but has no non-trivial normal subgroup of infinite index, and Λ3 is not simple but has no proper subgroup of finite index.  相似文献

We study Tukey types of ultrafilters on ω, focusing on the question of when Tukey reducibility is equivalent to Rudin-Keisler reducibility. We give several conditions under which this equivalence holds. We show that there are only c many ultrafilters that are Tukey below any basically generated ultrafilter. The class of basically generated ultrafilters includes all known ultrafilters that are not Tukey above [ω1]<ω. We give a complete characterization of all ultrafilters that are Tukey below a selective. A counterexample showing that Tukey reducibility and RK reducibility can diverge within the class of P-points is also given.  相似文献

We define a 2-category structure (Pre-Orb) on the category of reduced complex orbifold atlases. We construct a 2-functor F from (Pre-Orb) to the 2-category (Grp) of proper étale effective groupoid objects over the complex manifolds. Both on (Pre-Orb) and (Grp) there are natural equivalence relations on objects: (a natural extension of) equivalence of orbifold atlases on (Pre-Orb) and Morita equivalence in (Grp). We prove that F induces a bijection between the equivalence classes of its source and target.  相似文献

In this paper we study the group A0(X) of zero-dimensional cycles of degree 0 modulo rational equivalence on a projective homogeneous algebraic variety X. To do this we translate rational equivalence of 0-cycles on a projective variety into R-equivalence on symmetric powers of the variety. For certain homogeneous varieties, we then relate these symmetric powers to moduli spaces of étale subalgebras of central simple algebras which we construct. This allows us to show A0(X)=0 for certain classes of homogeneous varieties for groups of each of the classical types, extending previous results of Swan/Karpenko, of Merkurjev, and of Panin.  相似文献

The equivalence (or weak equivalence) classes of orientation-preserving free actions of a finite group G on an orientable three-dimensional handlebody of genus g?1 can be enumerated in terms of sets of generators of G. They correspond to the equivalence classes of generating n-vectors of elements of G, where n=1+(g−1)/|G|, under Nielsen equivalence (or weak Nielsen equivalence). For Abelian and dihedral G, this allows a complete determination of the equivalence and weak equivalence classes of actions for all genera. Additional information is obtained for other classes of groups. For all G, there is only one equivalence class of actions on the genus g handlebody if g is at least 1+?(G)|G|, where ?(G) is the maximal length of a chain of subgroups of G. There is a stabilization process that sends an equivalence class of actions to an equivalence class of actions on a higher genus, and some results about its effects are obtained.  相似文献

Finite-sheeted covering mappings onto compact connected groups are studied. We show that for a covering mapping from a connected Hausdorff topological space onto a compact (in general, non-abelian) group there exists a topological group structure on the covering space such that the mapping becomes a homomorphism of groups. To prove this fact we construct an inverse system of covering mappings onto Lie groups which approximates the given covering mapping. As an application, it is shown that a covering mapping onto a compact connected abelian group G must be a homeomorphism provided that the character group of G admits division by degree of the mapping. We also get a criterion for triviality of coverings in terms of means and prove that each finite covering of G is equivalent to a polynomial covering.  相似文献

We construct the first known complex-valued harmonic morphisms from the non-compact Lie groups SLn(R), SU(2n) and Sp(n,R) equipped with their standard Riemannian metrics. We then introduce the notion of a bi-eigenfamily and employ this to construct the first known solutions on the non-compact Riemannian SO(2n), SO(p,q), SU(p,q) and Sp(p,q). Applying a duality principle we then show how to manufacture the first known complex-valued harmonic morphisms from the compact Lie groups SO(n), SU(n) and Sp(n) equipped with semi-Riemannian metrics.  相似文献
