Let X be a topological space. The homology of the iterated loop space HΩnX is an algebra over the homology of the framed n-disks operad HfDn [E. Getzler, Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras and two-dimensional topological field theories, Comm. Math. Phys. 159 (2) (1994) 265-285; P. Salvatore, N. Wahl, Framed discs operads and Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras, Q. J. Math. 54 (2) (2003) 213-231]. We explicitly determine this HfDn-algebra structure on H(ΩnX;Q). We show that the action of H(SO(n)) on the iterated loop space HΩnX is related to the J-homomorphism and that the BV-operator on H(Ω2X) vanishes on spherical classes only in characteristic other than 2.  相似文献

Let Γ denote a distance-regular graph with diameter D?3. Assume Γ has classical parameters (D,b,α,β) with b<-1. Let X denote the vertex set of Γ and let A∈MatX(C) denote the adjacency matrix of Γ. Fix xX and let A∈MatX(C) denote the corresponding dual adjacency matrix. Let T denote the subalgebra of MatX(C) generated by A,A. We call T the Terwilliger algebra of Γ with respect to x. We show that up to isomorphism there exist exactly two irreducible T-modules with endpoint 1; their dimensions are D and 2D-2. For these T-modules we display a basis consisting of eigenvectors for A, and for each basis we give the action of A.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to the classification problem of the quasi-isomorphism classes of free differential graded algebras (dgas) over a (P.I.D) R. We introduce the notion of coherent homomorphisms, perfect and quasi-perfect dgas (the Adams-Hilton model of simply connected CW-complex such that H(X,R) is free is a such a dga) and our first main result asserts that two perfect (quasi-perfect) dgas are quasi-isomorphic if and only if their Whitehead exact sequences are coherently isomorphic. Moreover we define the notion of a strong isomorphism between the Whitehead exact sequences and we show that two free R-dgas, of which their Whitehead exact sequences are strongly isomorphic, are quasi-isomorphic.  相似文献

Let be a fibration of simply connected CW complexes of finite type with classifying map . We study the evaluation subgroup Gn(E,X;j) of the fibre inclusion as an invariant of the fibre-homotopy type of ξ. For spherical fibrations, we show the evaluation subgroup may be expressed as an extension of the Gottlieb group of the fibre sphere provided the classifying map h induces the trivial map on homotopy groups. We extend this result after rationalization: We show that the decomposition G(E,X;j)⊗Q=(G(X)⊗Q)⊕(π(B)⊗Q) is equivalent to the condition Q(h?)=0.  相似文献

Let p:XD be a simple, possibly not connected, 4-sheeted branched covering of a closed 2-dimensional disk D with n branch values A1,…,An. The isotopy classes of homeomorphisms of D which are fixed on the boundary of D and permute the branch values form a braid group Bn. Some of these homeomorphisms can be lifted to homeomorphisms of X. They form a subgroup L(p) of finite index in Bn. For each equivalence class of coverings we find a set of generators for L(p) which contains between n and n+4 elements, depending on the equivalence class of the covering, and the generators are powers of half-twists.  相似文献

An Artin algebra A is said to be CM-finite if there are only finitely many isomorphism classes of indecomposable finitely generated Gorenstein-projective A-modules. Inspired by Auslander's idea on representation dimension, we prove that for 2?n<∞, A is a CM-finite n-Gorenstein algebra if and only if there is a resolving Gorenstein-projective A-module E such that gl.dimEndAop(E)?n.  相似文献

Some new oscillation criteria are established for the matrix linear Hamiltonian system X′=A(t)X+B(t)Y, Y′=C(t)X−A∗(t)Y under the hypothesis: A(t), B(t)=B∗(t)>0, and C(t)=C∗(t) are n×n real continuous matrix functions on the interval [t0,∞), (−∞<t0). These results are sharper than some previous results even for self-adjoint second order matrix differential systems.  相似文献

The standard reduced bar complex B(A) of a differential graded algebra A inherits a natural commutative algebra structure if A is a commutative algebra. We address an extension of this construction in the context of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the bar complex of any E-infinity algebra can be equipped with the structure of an E-infinity algebra so that the bar construction defines a functor from E-infinity algebras to E-infinity algebras. We prove the homotopy uniqueness of such natural E-infinity structures on the bar construction.We apply our construction to cochain complexes of topological spaces, which are instances of E-infinity algebras. We prove that the n-th iterated bar complexes of the cochain algebra of a space X is equivalent to the cochain complex of the n-fold iterated loop space of X, under reasonable connectedness, completeness and finiteness assumptions on X.  相似文献

We generalize the main theorem of Rieffel for Morita equivalence of W-algebras to the case of unital dual operator algebras: two unital dual operator algebras A,B have completely isometric normal representations α,β such that α(A)=[Mβ(B)M]w and β(B)=[Mα(A)M]w for a ternary ring of operators M (i.e. a linear space M such that MMMM) if and only if there exists an equivalence functor which “extends” to a ∗-functor implementing an equivalence between the categories and . By we denote the category of normal representations of A and by the category with the same objects as and Δ(A)-module maps as morphisms (Δ(A)=AA). We prove that this functor is equivalent to a functor “generated” by a B,A bimodule, and that it is normal and completely isometric.  相似文献

Let H be a complex Hilbert space and let B(H) denote the algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. For A,BB(H), the Jordan elementary operator UA,B is defined by UA,B(X)=AXB+BXA, ∀XB(H). In this short note, we discuss the norm of UA,B. We show that if dimH=2 and ‖UA,B‖=‖A‖‖B‖, then either AB or BA is 0. We give some examples of Jordan elementary operators UA,B such that ‖UA,B‖=‖A‖‖B‖ but AB≠0 and BA≠0, which answer negatively a question posed by M. Boumazgour in [M. Boumazgour, Norm inequalities for sums of two basic elementary operators, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 342 (2008) 386-393].  相似文献

In this paper we study the group A0(X) of zero-dimensional cycles of degree 0 modulo rational equivalence on a projective homogeneous algebraic variety X. To do this we translate rational equivalence of 0-cycles on a projective variety into R-equivalence on symmetric powers of the variety. For certain homogeneous varieties, we then relate these symmetric powers to moduli spaces of étale subalgebras of central simple algebras which we construct. This allows us to show A0(X)=0 for certain classes of homogeneous varieties for groups of each of the classical types, extending previous results of Swan/Karpenko, of Merkurjev, and of Panin.  相似文献

Furthermore, isolated points of σ(dAB) are simple poles of the resolvent of dAB. A version of the elementary operator E(X)=A1XA2-B1XB2 and perturbations of dAB by quasi-nilpotent operators are considered, and Weyl’s theorem is proved for dAB.  相似文献

For any left R-module P with endomorphism ring S, the adjoint pair of functors PS− and HomR(P,−) induce an equivalence between the categories of P-static R-modules and P-adstatic S-modules. In particular, this setting subsumes the Morita theory of equivalences between module categories and the theory of tilting modules. In this paper we consider, more generally, any adjoint pair of covariant functors between complete and cocomplete Abelian categories and describe equivalences induced by them. For a coaugmented functor J on spaces, we consider J-modules and finite J-limits. The former are spaces X which are retracts of JX via the natural map. The latter are homotopy limits of J-modules arranged in diagrams whose shape is finite dimensional. Familiar examples are generalised Eilenberg MacLane spaces, which are the SP-modules. Finite SP-limits are nilpotent spaces with a very strong finiteness property. We show that the cofacial Bousfield-Kan construction of the functors Jn is universal for finite J-limits in the sense that every map XY where Y is a finite J-limit, factors through such natural map XJnX, for some n<∞.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with Banach A-module M over admissible Banach A-algebra A. We give some properties of admissible modules and algebras. We study the cohomology of the complex C(A, M). We show that the vanishing of cohomology of this complex in certain dimensions implies to the existence of the A-module structure.  相似文献
