The variational principle in terme of stream function (?) for free surface gravity flowis discussed by the formulation of first-order variation in a variable domain. Because ofdifferent transversal conditions adopted, there are four forms of variational principle interms of (?).An air-filled cavity flow with given discharge and total energy is then analysed by finiteelement method.At the end of the cavity, the free stream line is tangent to a short fictitiousplate of given length, which joins the fixed boundary at an angle to be determined.Thecondition that the free stream line should be tangent to the fixed boundary at the point ofseparation makes the solution unique.Finally curves giving the cavity length as a function of the Froude number,cavitypressure and channel bottom slope are presented.  相似文献

Beams and plates manufactured from laminates of composite materials have distinct advantages in a significant number of applications. However, the anisotropy arising from these materials adds a significant degree of complexity, and thus time, to the stress and deformation analyses of such components, even using numerical approaches such as finite elements. The analysis of composite laminate beams subjected to uniform extension, bending, and/or twisting loads was performed by a novel implementation of the usual finite element method. Due to the symmetric features of the deformations, only a thin slice of the beam to be analysed needs to be modelled. Conventional three-dimensional solid finite elements were used for the structural discretization. The accurate deformation relationships were formulated and implemented through the coupling of nodal translational degrees of freedom in the numerical analysis. A sample solution for a rectangular composite laminate beam is presented to show the validity and accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

In the static and dynamic analysis of composite laminates, a theory for the laminated plates is presented in this paper. Because the deflection W_b which is caused by the classical bending deformation and the deflection W_s which is caused by the shear deformation are divided from the total deflection W in the theory, this makes it easy to solve the governing equations. In addition, this theory is convenient for the discussion and analysis of the effects of transverse shear deformations on bendings, vibrations and stabilities of laminated plates.  相似文献

In this paper, a general analytical method based on Ref. [1] is presented to study the bending vibration of an elliptieal column partially submerged in water. Besides, it is pointed out that there is a limitation to the method mentioned in Ref. [2]. As a special example, the natural frequencies of circular column submerged in water considering compressibility are calculated, and the extent of compressible effect is given.  相似文献

Based on the theory of elastic dynamics, multiple scattering of elastic waves and dynamic stress concentrations in fiber-reinforced composite are studied. The analytical expressions of elastic waves in different regions are presented. The mode coefficients of elastic waves are determined in accordance with the continuous conditions of displacement and stress on the boundary of the multi-interfaces. By using the addition theorem of Hankel functions, the formula of scattered wave fields in different local coordinates are transformed into those in one local coordinate to determine the unknown coefficients and dynamic stress concentration factors (DSCFs). The influences of the distance between two inclusions, material properties and structural size on the DSCFs near the interfaces are analyzed. As examples, the numerical results of DSCFs near the interfaces for two kinds of fiber-reinforced composites are presented and discussed. This contribution attempts to model the alteration of the in-plane elastic properties in laminates caused by stitching,and to predict the in-plane effective tensile strength of the stitched composite laminates.The distortion of in-plane fibers is considered to be the main cause that affects the in-plane mechanical properties.A fiber distortion model is proposed to characterize the fiber misalignment and the fiber content concentration due to stitching.The undistorted region,the fiber distortion region,the resin-rich pocket and the through-thickness reinforcement section are taken into account.The fiber misalignment and inhomogeneous fiber content due to stitching have been formulated by introducing two parameters,the distortion width and maximum misalignment.It has been found that the ply stress concentration in stitched laminates is influenced by the two concurrent factors,the stitch hole and inhomogeneous fiber content.The stitch hole brings about the stress concentration whereas the higher fiber content at the local region induced by stitching restrains the local deformation of the composite.The model is used to predict the tensile strength of the [0/45/0/-45/90/45/0/-45]_(2s) T300/QY9512 composite laminate stitched by Kevlar 29 yarn with different stitching configurations,showing an acceptable agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

A laminate weakened by multiple elliptical holes of arbitrary distribution, arbitrary orientation and arbitrary dimensions, is treated as an anisotropic, infinite, multiple connected thin plate. 基于各向异性体平面弹性理论中的复势方法,应用杂交变分原理建立了一种与常规有限元相协调的含任意椭圆核各向异性板杂交应力有限元,采用该杂交应力有限元来描述层板的椭圆核区域,采用杆单元来描述加强筋(杆单元的刚度取为层板沿筋条方向的刚度),其余区域采用常规8节点等参单元进行模拟,建立起分析含多椭圆核复合材料加筋壁板问题的力学分析方法,详细讨论了椭圆核大小、位置、筋条尺寸、相对位置、铺层比例等诸参数的影响规律,得到了一些有益的结论。  相似文献

Stress resultants and moments around the holes of infinite unsymmetrical composite laminates under remote uniform loading are analyzed using the complex potential approach developed by Chen and Shen [Mech. Res. Commun. 28 (4) (2001) 423; 28 (5) (2001) 513]. In the analysis, the authors’ previous work has been modified to determine the complex constants Bk appeared in the complex potential functions of Chen and Shen [Mech. Res. Commun. 28 (5) (2001) 513]. Herein Bk are the unknown quantities related to the remote loading conditions. The effect of bending extension coupling has been discussed for several laminates such as [0/90]T, [45/−45]T and [0/90/45/−45]nT. Results indicates that the coupling between bending and extension significantly affects the stresses around the hole of an unsymmetrical laminate containing one sub-laminate only. Such the effect rapidly decreases as the number of the sub-laminates increases. The results confirm the validity of the developed complex potential approach.  相似文献

A general anisotropic damage theory of cracked laminates is formulated here. The deformation of composite laminates is composed of matrix elastic strains, pseudo-elastic damage strains due to cracking and permanent damage strains due to interlaminar slip. The surface of damage initiation is constructed according to the concept of linear elastic fracture mechanics for the virgin material. After the initial damage, a pesudo-elastic damage can be used to describe the damage behaviour if interlaminar slip is negligible. Damage evolution, load induced anisotropy and interlaminar intralaminar interaction for composite laminates are examined; the latter can perturb the normality structure of damage strain rate. Explicit expressions are given for pseudo-elastic (or secant) moduli of the damaging composite laminates, under a non-interacting assumption imposed on the cracks between different families.  相似文献

Delamination growth caused by local buckling of delaminated laminate under compression may lead the structure to failure. In this paper, a two-dimensional model of delaminated laminates was studied using a combination of post-buckling theory and fracture mechanics. The delaminated laminate under compression is first analysed by the first-order deformable plate thoery. Then, the energy release rateG at every point along the delamination front is derived by means of a variation problem with a moving boundary. Finally, the near-surface elliptical delamination is also discussed. There is a large variation of energy release rateG along the delamination front, the direction in which delamination growth may occur depends upon the delamination aspect ratio, the state of applied load and the orientation of plies.Supported by the Chinese Science Foundation of Aeronautics  相似文献

在复合材料层合板静压痕接触问题中,由于层合板接触区域的纤维走向发生了变化,导致沿厚度方向的弹性模量产生变化并随着凹坑深度的增加而增大。本文建立压头压入后的力学分析模型,得到了与凹坑深度相关的沿厚度方向的等效弹性模量;将等效弹性模量代入目前被广泛接受的修正Hertz接触理论,建立了新的接触力与凹坑深度的关系式。通过与静压痕试验中接触力和凹坑深度的关系进行比较,结果表明该接触关系式能较好地描述接触力和凹坑深度的关系。与文献修正理论相比,在压痕较小时,本文的修正结果较好。  相似文献

Based on the classical laminated plate theory, a finite composite plate weakened by multiple elliptical holes is treated as an anisotropic multiple connected plate. Using the complex potential method in the plane theory of elasticity of an anisotropic body, an analytical study concerned with the stress distributions around multiple loaded holes in finite composite laminated plates subjected to arbitrary loads was performed. The analysis makes use of the Faber series expansion, conformal mapping and the least squares boundary collocation techniques. The effects of plate and hole sizes, layups, the relative distance between holes, the total number of holes and their locations on the stress distribution are studied in detail. 基于摩擦接触问题的数学规划解法,采用各向异性体平面弹性理论中的复势方法,建立了含多椭圆孔及裂纹群有限大各向异性板,在任意载荷作用下裂纹闭合或局部闭合问题的有效分析方法。通过在可能闭合的裂纹边界引入互补变量函数并将其展成Fourier级数形式,以Faber级数为工具,应用保角映射技术和最小二乘边界配点法,导出无卸载情况下裂纹面摩擦接触的线性互补模型,并通过算例验证了方法的有效性。数值结果表明,由于采用级数解描述板应力场和位移场,该方法具有较高的计算精度和效率,便于研究裂纹闭合对应力强度因子等断裂参数的影响。  相似文献

基于Reddy提出的板高阶剪切变形简化理论,研究了含界面脱粘损伤压电复合材料层合板非线性动力稳定性问题.首先,建立了分层模型,推导了考虑几何非线性、阻尼效应、纵向惯性力和力-电耦合效应的Mathieu方程,并且给出了该方程解的解析表达式.其次,通过典型算例讨论了界面脱粘损伤以及反馈控制力对该层合板动力不稳定区域、纵向、横向共振频率和最大"牵引"深度的影响.由典型算例讨论可知:随着层合板界面脱粘损伤的扩大,其动力稳定性能逐渐减弱,其中在损伤较小时,反馈控制力对智能结构几乎没有影响;而在损伤比较大的情况下,反馈控制力将能有效地减少动力不稳定区域重合面积.  相似文献
