This paper investigates the existence of absolute optimal solutions for a partition P in continuous and quasiconcave games. We show that the P-consistency property introduced in the paper, together with the quasiconcavity and continuity of payoffs, permits the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions in games with compact and convex strategy spaces. The P-consistency property is a general condition that cannot be dispensed with for the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions. We also characterize the existence of P-absolute optimal solutions by providing necessary and sufficient conditions. Moreover, we suggest an algorithm for efficiently computing P-absolute optimal solutions.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence, nonexistence, uniqueness, and non‐uniqueness of solutions for a singular parabolic equation in one dimension case. For different cases of some constant m of the equation, we study the uniqueness of solutions for m > ? 1, the nonexistence of solutions for m ≤ ? p, and the existence and non‐uniqueness of solutions for ? p < m ≤ ? 1. The starting point of this work is a paper by Alvarez, Lasry and Lions (1997) concerning the convexity and the partial convexity of solutions of fully nonlinear degenerate elliptic equations. We extend their results in two directions. First, we deal with possibly sublinear (but epi-pointed) solutions instead of 1-coercive ones; secondly, the partial convexity of C2 solutions is extended to the class of continuous viscosity solutions. A third contribution of this paper concerns C1,1 estimates for convex viscosity solutions of strictly elliptic nonlinear equations. To finish with, all the tools and techniques introduced here permit us to give a new proof of the Alexandroff estimate obtained by Trudinger (1988) and Caffarelli (1989).  相似文献

This paper is a continuation of [13], where we studied the existence and other analytic properties of positive radial solutions for a system of nonlinear Maxwell equations in the plane R2R2, which arises in the modelling of mesoscopic scale electromagnetic phenomena. In this paper we derive local estimates of singular positive solutions, based on which a classification theorem of general positive solutions is established. The refined singularity of general positive solutions is also investigated by employing the theory of infinite dimensional dynamical systems.  相似文献

In this paper we study the long time asymptotic behavior for a class of diffusion–aggregation equations. Most results except the ones in Section 3.3 concern radial solutions. The main tools used in the paper are maximum principle type arguments on mass concentration of solutions, as well as energy method. For the Patlak–Keller–Segel problem with critical power m=2−2/dm=22/d, we prove that all radial solutions with critical mass would converge to a family of stationary solutions, while all radial solutions with subcritical mass converge to a self-similar dissipating solution algebraically fast. For non-radial solutions, we obtain convergence towards the self-similar dissipating solution when the mass is sufficiently small. We also apply the mass comparison method to another aggregation model with repulsive–attractive interaction, and prove that radial solutions converge to the stationary solution exponentially fast.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a time-periodic reaction-diffusion equation. It is known that typical trajectories approach periodic solutions with possibly longer period than that of the equation. Such solutions are called subharmonic solutions. In this paper, for any domain Ω, time-period τ>0 and integer n?2, we construct an example of a time-periodic reaction-diffusion equation on Ω with a minimal period τ which possesses a stable solution of minimal period .  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence and multiplicity of classical solutions for a second-order impulsive differential equation with periodic boundary conditions. By using a variational method and critical point theory, we give some new criteria to guarantee that the impulsive problem has at least one solution, two solutions and infinitely many solutions when the parameter pair (c,λ) lies in different intervals, respectively. Some examples are given in this paper to illustrate the main results.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the theory of planar dynamical systems to carry out qualitative analysis for the dynamical system corresponding to B-BBM equation, and obtain global phase portraits under various parameter conditions. Then, the relations between the behaviors of bounded traveling wave solutions and the dissipation coeffiicient μ are investigated. We find that a bounded traveling wave solution appears as a kink profile solitary wave solution when μ is more than the critical value obtained in this paper, while a bounded traveling wave solution appears as a damped oscillatory solution when μ is less than it. Furthermore, we explain the solitary wave solutions obtained in previous literature, and point out their positions in global phase portraits. In the meantime, approximate damped oscillatory solutions are given by means of undetermined coefficients method. Finally, based on integral equations that reflect the relations between the approximate damped oscillatory solutions and the implicit exact damped oscillatory solutions, error estimates for the approximate solutions are presented.  相似文献

Abstract

The aim of this two-part paper is to investigate the stability properties of a special class of solutions to a coagulation–fragmentation equation. We assume that the coagulation kernel is close to the diagonal kernel, and that the fragmentation kernel is diagonal. We construct a two-parameter family of stationary solutions concentrated in Dirac masses. We carefully study the asymptotic decay of the tails of these solutions, showing that this behavior is stable. In a companion paper, we prove that for initial data which are sufficiently concentrated, the corresponding solutions approach one of these stationary solutions for large times.  相似文献

Under investigation in this paper is a generalized (3+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation, which describes the propagation of nonlinear waves in fluid dynamics. Periodic wave solutions are constructed by virtue of the Hirota–Riemann method. Based on the extended homoclinic test approach, breather and rogue wave solutions are obtained. Moreover, through the symbolic computation, the relationship between the one-periodic wave solutions and one-soliton solutions has been analytically discussed, and it is shown that the one-periodic wave solutions approach the one-soliton solutions when the amplitude η0.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper we are interested in a free boundary problem with a motion law involving the mean curvature term of the free boundary. Viscosity solutions are introduced as a notion of global-time solutions past singularities. We show the comparison principle for viscosity solutions, which yields the existence of minimal and maximal solutions for given initial data. We also prove uniqueness of the solution for several classes of initial data and discuss the possibility of nonunique solutions.  相似文献

The main aim of this paper is to discuss Fuzzy Linear Matrix Equations (shown as FLME) of the form AXB = C for finding its fuzzy solutions. In this paper, the parametric form of the fuzzy linear system is used. In this paper, we discuss positive solutions for certain weighted elliptic equations with critical Sobolev exponent in RN. The weights depend on a positive parameter γ, which is allowed to increase to infinity. While for small values of γ solutions are completely classified, an attempt to such a classification is much more difficult for large values of the parameter. In the present work we prove the nonexistence of solutions with bounded energy as γ increases to infinity. We also prove a multiplicity result for high energy solutions.  相似文献

This paper investigates the structure of solutions of singular boundary value problem with superlinear effect. It is proved that the closure of positive solution set possesses a maximal subcontinuum C (i.e., a maximal closed connected subset of solutions), which comes from (0,θ) and tends to (0,+∞) finally. As a corollary, the existence of multiple positive solutions and the behavior of solutions according to parameter λ are obtained.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with entire solutions of a monostable reaction-advection-diffusion equation in infinite cylinders without the condition f(u)≤f(0). By constructing a quasi-invariant manifold, we prove that there exist two classes of entire solutions. This paper is concerned with global existence of weak solutions for a periodic two-component?μ-Hunter–Saxton system. We first derive global existence for strong solutions to the system with smooth approximate initial data.
