This paper presents a less conservative result for stability analysis of continuous-time systems with additive delays by constructing a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and utilizing free matrix variables in approximating certain integral quadratic terms in obtaining the stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities. In this paper, a problem of the asymptotic stability for a class of neutral systems with multiple discrete and distributed time-delays is considered. Lyapunov stability theory is applied to guarantee the stability for the systems. New discrete-delay-independent and discrete-delay-dependent stability conditions are derived in terms of the spectral radius and linear matrix inequality. By mathematical analysis, the stability criteria are proved to be less conservative than the ones reported in the current literatures. A numerical example is given to illustrate the availability of the proposed results. 相似文献

New delay-independent and delay-dependent stability criteria for linear systems with multiple uncertain delays are established by using both the time-domain and the frequency-domain methods. The results are derived based on the established new preliminary lemmas and by using new-type stability theorems for general retarded dynamical systems and new analysis techniques in the time-domain and the frequency-domain. All the established stability criteria depend only on the eigenvalues related to the coefficient matrices of the systems and do not involve any free tuning parameters. In addition, some remarks are given to explain in detail the obtained results and to point out the limitations of the existing results in the literature. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of selecting the variables of the fixed effects in the linear mixed models where the random effects are present and the observation vectors have been obtained from many clusters. As the variable selection procedure, here we use the Akaike Information Criterion, AIC. In the context of the mixed linear models, two kinds of AIC have been proposed: marginal AIC and conditional AIC. In this paper, we derive three versions of conditional AIC depending upon different estimators of the regression coefficients and the random effects. Through the simulation studies, it is shown that the proposed conditional AIC’s are superior to the marginal and conditional AIC’s proposed in the literature in the sense of selecting the true model. Finally, the results are extended to the case when the random effects in all the clusters are of the same dimension but have a common unknown covariance matrix. 相似文献

This paper further develops a method, originally introduced by Mori et al., for proving local stability of steady states in linear systems of delay differential equations. A nonlinear nonautonomous system of delay differential equations with several delays is considered. Explicit delay-independent sufficient conditions for global attractivity of the solutions with an extremely simple form are provided. The above-mentioned conditions make the stability test quite practical. We illustrate application of this test to the Hopfield neural network models. The results obtained were also applied to a new marine protected areas model with delay that describes the ecological linkage between the reserve and fishing ground. 相似文献

This paper investigated the problem of improved delay-dependent stability criteria for continuous system with two additive time-varying delay components. Free weighting matrices and convex combination method are not involved, which achieves much less numbers of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and LMIs scalar decision variables. By taking advantage of integral inequality and new Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, new less conservative delay-dependent stability criterion is derived. The affine-scaling modification of Karmarkar's algorithm is extended to solve problems with free variables. This extended primal algorithm is used to prove two important results. First the geometrically elegant feasibility algorithm proposed by Chandru and Kochar is the same algorithm as the one obtained by appending a single column of residuals to the constraint matrix. This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of continuous linear systems with two additive time-varying delays in the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) framework. Two novel delay-product-type terms are introduced into LKF candidate inspired by our previous research. The Wirtinger-based inequality, together with the reciprocally convex combination technique, is applied to estimate the integral terms arising in the derivative of the LKF. As a result, a new delay- and its-change-rate-dependent stability criterion is established. Its advantage of less conservatism than some existing criteria is demonstrated through a numerical example. Finally, the stability criterion is applied to analyze the stability of the load frequency control scheme of power systems. 相似文献

This paper examines dynamical behavior of a nonlinear oscillator which models a quarter-car forced by the road profile. The effect of multiple time delays is studied in detail. The focus is on the influence of delay in the system. This naturally gives rise to a delay differential equation (DDE) model of the system. The domain where the control is efficient in reducing the amplitude of vibration is found by the harmonic balance method. Technical stability within definite time and asymptotic stability is derived for selected gain control parameters. The control gain parameters are chosen according to technical and asymptotic stability. The energy analysis is a combination of Lyapunov’s function and the averaging technique, and is used to analyze the Hopf bifurcation. 相似文献

研究了含有多个变时滞的不确定奇异系统的滑动模态问题.该系统相比文献中已研究的系统更为复杂,具有多个变时滞,且分别含有匹配和不匹配的外部扰动项.通过对系统进行等价分解化为两个子系统,对分解后的系统进行切换函数的设计,再通过定义Lyapunov函数得到使得系统的滑模运动渐近稳定的充分条件.由此证明了所设计的滑模控制率能够保证状态轨迹在优先时间内被驱动到指定的切换面上且保持运动.设计过程简单,且结果以线性矩阵不等式呈现,相比文献中已有的结论更易于实现.最后通过例子验证结论的正确性. 相似文献

A swirl flow with a free surface is susceptible to centrifugal, capillary, and Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities. The present work extends the stability criteria of Rayleigh and Synge for inviscid and viscous fluids, respectively, to free-surface configurations.
