An initial boundary value problem for the generalized Boussinesq equation with allowance for linear dissipation and free electron sources is considered. The strong generalized time-local solvability of the problem is proved. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the blowup of the solution and for time-global solvability. In this paper, we are concerned with local existence and blowup of a unique solution to a time‐space fractional evolution equation with a time nonlocal nonlinearity of exponential growth. At first, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local solution by the Banach contraction mapping principle. Then, the blowup result of the solution in finite time is established by the test function method with a judicious choice of the test function.  相似文献

In part I the Boussinesq equation was found to describe large-horizontal-scale disturbances in certain marginally stable flows. In this paper the properties of the solutions of this equation are explored. Solutions that are bounded for all time and those that blow up in finite time are observed analytically and numerically. In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem for the generalized Boussinesq‐type equation with strong damping. By defining a suitable solution space with time‐weighted norms and under smallness condition on the initial data, we establish the global existence and decay property of the solutions. The mechanical model of the cover layer cracking in reinforced concrete structures due to corrosion expansion of reinforcement and uniform stress at infinity is established in this paper. The principle of superposition and the series expansion technique of the theory of complex potential established by Muskhelishvili are applied. The complex stress potentials are assumed to be in the form of Taylor and Laurent series expansions, and the unknown coefficients are determined by the boundary conditions and the stress state at infinity. Finally the analytical solution for hoop stresses in concrete is derived. Referring to the previous studies in the literature, the equation for time of concrete cracking due to corrosion expansion of reinforcement and uniform stresses at infinity is established. It is found that the change of stress state at infinity may accelerate or decelerate the initiation of crack. In addition, compared with the case without corrosion, the existence of corrosion products can alter the location of cracking. Further analyses indicate that the effect of the ratio between reinforced bar and concrete on the cracking is insignificant, and that the possibility of cover layer cracking increases with increasing penetration of corrosion.  相似文献

This work is concerned with the initial‐boundary value problem for the Boussinesq equation. By employing the unified transform method of Fokas, novel solution formulae for the linearized “good” Boussinesq equation on the half‐line with various initial and boundary conditions are obtained. Moreover, these solution formulae are numerically illustrated in the case of concrete data. Finally, Boussinesq's original physical derivation of the so‐called “bad” Boussinesq equation is provided.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the initial value problem for the sixth order Boussinesq type equation in the framework of modulation spaces. Under suitable conditions, we first prove that the problem has a unique local solutions and global solutions. Then scattering and stability of solutions are also discussed. The proof is mainly based on the decay properties of the solutions operator in modulation spaces and the contraction mapping principle.  相似文献

We consider a pair Korteweg-de Vries system of the Boussinesq type and its symmetric analogue. Such systems, which describe the behavior of a liquid in a channel, are shown to have no solutions defined globally in time under certain conditions. Using the method of nonlinear capacity, we obtain sufficient conditions for the solution blowup and estimate the blowup time for both these systems and for a generalized multicomponent Korteweg-de Vries-type system.  相似文献

In this paper we implement the moving mesh PDE method for simulating the blowup in reaction–diffusion equations with temporal and spacial nonlinear nonlocal terms. By a time-dependent transformation, the physical equation is written into a Lagrangian form with respect to the computational variables. The time-dependent transformation function satisfies a parabolic partial differential equation — usually called moving mesh PDE (MMPDE). The transformed physical equation and MMPDE are solved alternately by central finite difference method combined with a backward time-stepping scheme. The integration time steps are chosen to be adaptive to the blowup solution by employing a simple and efficient approach. The monitor function in MMPDEs plays a key role in the performance of the moving mesh PDE method. The dominance of equidistribution is utilized to select the monitor functions and a formal analysis is performed to check the principle. A variety of numerical examples show that the blowup profiles can be expressed correctly in the computational coordinates and the blowup rates are determined by the tests.  相似文献

This work investigates the active vibration control and vibration characteristics of a sandwich thin cylindrical shell whose intermediate layer is made of the graphene reinforced composite that is bonded with integrated piezoelectric actuator and sensor layers at its outer and inner surfaces. The volume fraction of graphene platelets in the intermediate layer varies continuously in the shell's thickness direction, which generates position-dependent effective material properties. The constitutive relations of the graphene reinforced composite and piezoelectric materials are given by taking one-dimensional steady thermal field into account. Considering Donnell's shell theory, a final equation of motion in terms of the generalized radial displacement is derived by using Hamilton's principle and Galerkin method. Shell's natural frequencies are derived considering influences of the thermo-electro-elastic field. Introducing a constant velocity feedback control algorithm, active vibration control of the sandwich cylindrical shell is presented by employing the Runge-Kutta method. The feedback control gain has a pronounced effect on the damping, as well as the inertia of the system. Comparisons between the present results and those in other papers are done to validate the present solutions. Influences of weight fractions, distribution patterns and geometrical sizes of graphene platelets, temperature variations, thicknesses of layers and the feedback control gain on the vibration characteristics and active vibration control behaviors of the novel sandwich cylindrical shell are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a nonlinear wave equation with damping and source term on the whole space. For linear damping case, we show that the solution blows up in finite time even for vanishing initial energy. The criteria to guarantee blowup of solutions with positive initial energy are established both for linear and nonlinear damping cases. ABSTRACT

In this paper a nonlinear string-mass structure of the vibration absorber is analyzed. This structure is convenient to be installed in vibration damping systems of high buildings for their protection in the case of earthquake. The considered string-mass structure contains a translator movable mass connected with two strings. Due to nonlinear geometric properties of the system the motion of the mass is described with a strong nonlinear second order differential equation. In the paper the approximate procedure for solving of the nonlinear equation of motion is developed. Based on the solution the influence of the string preloading force, slider mass and friction force on the vibration property of the string-mass system is investigated. It is concluded that variation of the preloading string force may be applied as a control parameter for vibration absorption and as the regulator of vibration decay time.  相似文献

In this article, we establish some relationships between several types of partial differential equations and ordinary differential equations. One application of these relationships is that we can get the exact values of the blowup time and the blowup rate of the solution to a partial differential equation by solving an ordinary differential equation. Another application of these relationships is that we can give the estimates for the spatial integration (or mean value) of the solution to a partial differential equation. We also obtain the lower and upper bounds for the blowup time of the solution to a parabolic equation with weighted function and space‐time integral in the nonlinear term.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the Cauchy problem for the generalized improved Boussinesq equation with Stokes damped term in n-dimensional space. We observe that the dissipative structure of the linearized equation is of the regularity-loss type. This means that we have the optimal decay estimates of solutions under the additional regularity assumption on the initial data. Based on the decay estimates of solutions to the corresponding linear equation and smallness condition on the initial data, we prove the global existence and asymptotic of the small amplitude solution in the time-weighted Sobolev space by the contraction mapping principle.  相似文献
