In this paper we study transient processes in one-dimensional deformable cables when there is a nonsteady change in length during towing in a stream of liquid or gas. A new hyperbolic-parabolic model is constructed that takes account of the longitudinal waves in the cable and nonlinear effects caused by the change in the length of the cable according to a prescribed law of control of its length. As an illustration we give an analysis of the evolutionary characteristics of a radial winch and the relative velocity of streamline flow around it for two tachograms of a winch simulating realistic working conditions in the operation of towed oceanographic systems. In this paper, we study solutions of one phase inhomogeneous singular perturbation problems of the type: $ F(D^2u,x)=\beta _{\varepsilon }(u) + f_{\varepsilon }(x) $ and $ \Delta _{p}u=\beta _{\varepsilon }(u) + f_{\varepsilon }(x)$ , where $\beta _{\varepsilon }$ approaches Dirac $\delta _{0}$ as $\varepsilon \rightarrow 0$ and $f_{\varepsilon }$ has a uniform control in $L^{q}, q>N.$ Uniform local Lipschitz regularity is obtained for these solutions. The existence theory for variational (minimizers) and non variational (least supersolutions) solutions for these problems is developed. Uniform linear growth rate with respect to the distance from the $\varepsilon -$ level surfaces are established for these variational and nonvaritional solutions. Finally, letting $\varepsilon \rightarrow 0$ basic properties such as local Lipschitz regularity and non-degeneracy property are proven for the limit and a Hausdorff measure estimate for its free boundary is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce a new homotopy perturbation method for solving a fractional order nonlinear cable equation. By applying proposed method the nonlinear equation it is changed to linear equation for per iteration of homotopy perturbation method. Then, we solve obtained problems with separation method. In examples, we illustrate that the exact solution is obtained in one iteration by convenience separating of source term in given equation.  相似文献

The dynamics of a (nonlinear) Berger plate in the absence of rotational inertia are considered with inhomogeneous boundary conditions. In our analysis, we consider boundary damping in two scenarios: (i) free plate boundary conditions, or (ii) hinged-type boundary conditions. In either situation, the nonlinearity gives rise to complicating boundary terms. In the case of free boundary conditions we show that well-posedness of finite-energy solutions can be obtained via highly nonlinear boundary dissipation. Additionally, we show the existence of a compact global attractor for the dynamics in the presence of hinged-type boundary dissipation (assuming a geometric condition on the entire boundary (Lagnese, 1989)). To obtain the existence of the attractor we explicitly construct the absorbing set for the dynamics by employing energy methods that: (i) exploit the structure of the Berger nonlinearity, and (ii) utilize sharp trace results for the Euler–Bernoulli plate in Lasiecka and Triggiani (1993).We provide a parallel commentary (from a mathematical point of view) to the discussion of modeling with Berger versus von Karman nonlinearities: to wit, we describe the derivation of each nonlinear dynamics and a discussion of the validity of the Berger approximation. We believe this discussion to be of broad value across engineering and applied mathematics communities.  相似文献

The nonlinear nonlocal singularly perturbed initial boundary value problems for reaction diffusion equations with a boundary perturbation is considered. Under suitable conditions, the outer solution of the original problem is obtained. Using the stretched variable, the composing expansion method and the expanding theory of power series the initial layer is constructed. And then using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems is studied. Finally the existence and uniqueness of solution for the original problem and the uniformly valid asymptotic estimation are discussed.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with singular perturbations in parabolic problems subjected to nonlinear Neumann boundary conditions. We consider the case for which the diffusion coefficient blows up in a subregion Ω0 which is interior to the physical domain ΩRn. We prove, under natural assumptions, that the associated attractors behave continuously as the diffusion coefficient blows up locally uniformly in Ω0 and converges uniformly to a continuous and positive function in .  相似文献

We analyze the effect of nonlinear boundary conditions on an advection-diffusion equation on the half-line. Our model is inspired by models for crystal growth where diffusion models diffusive relaxation of a displacement field, advection is induced by apical growth, and boundary conditions incorporate non-adiabatic effects on displacement at the boundary. The equation, in particular the boundary fluxes, possesses a discrete gauge symmetry, and we study the role of simple, entire solutions, here periodic, homoclinic, or heteroclinic relative to this gauge symmetry, in the global dynamics.  相似文献

The dynamic contact problem of the motion of a flat punch on the boundary of an elastic half-plane is considered. During motion, the punch deforms the elastic half-plane, penetrating it in such a manner that its base remains parallel to the boundary of the half-plane at each instant of time. In movable coordinates connected to the moving punch, the contact problem reduces to solving a two-dimensional integral equation, whose two-dimensional kernel depends on the difference between the arguments for each of the variables. An approximate solution of the integral equation of the problem is constructed in the form of a Neumann series, whose zeroth term is represented in the form of the superposition of the solutions of two-dimensional integral equations on the coordinate semiaxis minus the solution of the integral equation on the entire axis. This approach provides a way to construct the solution of the two-dimensional integral equation of the problem in four velocity ranges of motion of the punch, which cover the entire spectrum of its velocities, as well as to perform a detailed analysis of the special features of the contact stresses and vertical displacements of the free surface on the boundary of the contract area. An approximate method for solving the integral equation, which is based on a special approximation of the integrand of the kernel of the integral equation in the complex plane, is proposed for obtaining effective solutions of the problem that do not contain singular quadratures.  相似文献
