We introduce a symmetric dual pair for a class of nondifferentiable multi-objective fractional variational problems. Weak, strong, converse and self duality relations are established under certain invexity assumptions. The paper includes extensions of previous symmetric duality results for multi-objective fractional variational problems obtained by Kim, Lee and Schaible [D.S. Kim, W.J. Lee, S. Schaible, Symmetric duality for invex multiobjective fractional variational problems, J. Math. Anal. We compare the relative performances of two iterative schemes based on projection techniques for the solution of large sparse nonsymmetric systems of linear equations, encountered in the numerical solution of partial differential equations. The Block–Symmetric Successive Over-Relaxation (Block-SSOR) method and the Symmetric–Kaczmarz method are derived from the simplest of projection methods, that is, the Kaczmarz method. These methods are then accelerated using the conjugate gradient method, in order to improve their convergence. We study their behavior on various test problems and comment on the conditions under which one method would be better than the other. We show that while the conjugate-gradient-accelerated Block-SSOR method is more amenable to implementation on vector and parallel computers, the conjugate-gradient accelerated Symmetric–Kaczmarz method provides a viable alternative for use on a scalar machine.  相似文献

Symmetric function theory provides a basis for computing Galois groups which is largely independent of the coefficient ring. An exact algorithm has been implemented over in Maple for degree up to 8. A table of polynomials realizing each transitive permutation group of degree 8 as a Galois group over the rationals is included.

In this paper, we consider the pair of symmetric dual multiobjective variational mixed integer programs proposed by Chen and Yang [X. Chen, J. Yang, Symmetric duality for minimax multiobjective variational mixed integer programming problems with partial-invexity, European Journal of Operational Research 181 (2007) 76-85.] and extend some of their results under the assumptions of partial-pseudo-invexity and separability on the functions involved. In this paper we, using a particular technique, consider the symmetric vector quasi-equilibrium problems in the Hausdorff topological vector space. In this paper,the Schur convexity of Fn(x, r) and Gn(x, r) are discussed. As applications, by a bijective transformation of independent variable for a Schur convex function, the authors obtain Schur convexity for some other symmetric functions, which subsumes the main results in recent literature; and by use of the theory of majorization establish some inequalities. In particular, the authors derive from the results of this paper the Weierstrass inequalities and the Ky Fan's inequality, and give a generalization of Safta's conjecture in the n-dimensional space and others.  相似文献
