We report on measurements of excited-state absorption spectra and absolute cross-sections in Co2+-doped KZnF3 and MgF2 at room temperature in the near-infrared domain. The data are compared with the predictions of the single-configuration co-ordinate model.  相似文献

Three new Fe-defect complexes have been identified by ESR in Fe doped crystals of SrTiO3. These are an Fe3+ center with rhombic fine structure in the “as-grown” crystals, and the vacancy associated complexes Fe2+ -Vo and Fe1+ -Vo in “reduced” crystals. Photo-excited charge transfer effects are observed for these centers.  相似文献

Far infrared absorption in cubic KMgF3 doped with Fe2+ is reported . A line is observed at 87cm?1, which is assigned to the (Γ5g → Γ3g, Γ4g) transition in the Fe2+. The reduction in the spin-orbit coupling from the free ion value has been predicted by Ham, Schwarz and O'Brien.  相似文献

Optical absorption and the enhancement and bleaching of Fe3+ and Fe5+ electron paramagnetic resonance in SrTiO3: Al measured as a function of wavelength and time show that the photochromic absorption bands are due to electron transfer from O2- valence states to Fe4+ and Fe5+. They occur at 2.09 and 2.82 eV for Fe4+ and at 1.99 and 2.53 eV for Fe5+.  相似文献

We have measured the far-infrared absorption of iron-doped MgO in the wavenumber region 10–200 cm?1 and in magnetic fields up to 6 T. Absorption peaks found at 107.0 and 110.5 cm?1 are assigned to magnetic dipole transitions between the spin-orbit Г5g groundstate (J = 1) and the Г3g, Г4g excited states (J = 2) of the Fe2+ -ion at a cubic site. The observed magnetic field dependence shows that Г4g is the higher excited level, so that the crystal field order of the levels is not changed by the reduction of the spin-orbit splitting attributed to a dynamic Jahn-Teller effect. An additional absorption peak at 33.4 cm?1 is found to split in magnetic field.In iron-doped KMgF3 absorption peaks at 52 and 87 cm?1 that have previously been attributed to the same transitions of Fe2+ are found to remain unshifted and unsplit in magnetic fields up to 6 T.  相似文献

EPR spectra of Mn2+ in MgF2 crystals grown by the Bridgman technique were measured at 300 and 20 K. Application of the superposition model to the zero field splitting (ZFS) patterns indicates complete absence of dynamic contributions to the ZFS. The luminescence spectra are also in accord with substitutional incorporation of Mn2+.  相似文献

The electron spin resonance spectrum of Fe3+ impurity ions in the ternary semiconductor CuGaS2 has been analysed. The two magnetically inequivalent metal sites in the chalcopyrite lattice could be distinguished via fourth order terms in the spin Hamiltonian. No serious deviations from stoichiometry could be detected in transport-grown crystals. It was found that traces of iron impurities lead to strong absorption in the visible and near infrared spectral region.  相似文献

Holographic measurements in LiNbO3: Ti waveguides are reported indicating a mode dependent enhancement of photoconductivity. This enhancement can be explained by a stabilization of Fe2+ centers in the waveguide which are responsible for optical damage effects.  相似文献

The emission of Ni2+ ions in MgO, KMgF3, KZnF3 and MgF2 crystals has been investigated. The fine structure on the bands at about 20 000 cm-1 and 13 000 cm-1 has been studied in detail and from this and the excitation spectra these bands are assigned to 1T2g3A2g and 1T2g3T2g transitions respectively.  相似文献

The energy levels, oscillator strengths, spontaneous radiative decay rates, and electron impact collision strengths are calculated for Fe VIII and Fe IX using the recently developed flexible atomic code (FAC). These atomic data are used to analyse the emission spectra of both laboratory and astrophysical plasmas. The nf-3d emission lines have been simulated for Fe VIII and Fe IX in a wavelength range of 6-14 nm. For Fe VIII, the predicted relative intensities of lines are insensitive to temperature. For Fe IX, however, the intensity ratios are very sensitive to temperature, implying that the information of temperature in the experiment can be inferred. Detailed line analyses have also been carried out in a wavelength range of 60-80 nm for Fe VIII, where the solar ultraviolet measurements of emitted radiation spectrometer records a large number of spectra. The hexagonal ferrite Fe2W = BaFe22+Fe3+16O27 exhibits a sharp 57Fe Mössbauer spectrum at 300 and 78 K. All seven sublattices in this complicated crystal structure are detected. Fast electron exchange between Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions gives rise to sharp lines and makes them indistinguishable. At 5 K the exchange is slow and the Fe2+ ions are detected from the presence of a weak subspectrum with broadened lines separated from the main spectrum of the Fe3+ ions. Analysis shows that the Fe2+ ions reside exclusively on one of the seven sublattices, which is occupied statistically by Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions in the ratio of 2 : 1. For SrFe2+2Fe3+16O27 the situation is the same.  相似文献

The paper deals with the spectroscopic and magnetic properties of Fe2+ ions in FeF2. The microscopic spin Hamiltonian theory for Fe2+ in crystalline environments with second-kind orthorhombic symmetry is considered. Explicit formulas for the parameters B0(2)(D),B2(2)(E), gx, gy, gz and, for the first time in the literature, the fourth-order parameters B0(4), B2(4) and B4(4), are derived. Using semi-empirical data for the 5D-term energy levels of Fe2+ ion in FeF2, the pressure dependence of the parameters Bq(k) in the region from 0 to 133 kbar is discussed. The relative role of the fourth-order parameters with respect to the second-order ones is found to increase strongly with pressure (e.g. in the region studied, D increases only by a factor of 3, whereas B0(4) increases by a factor of nearly 20). The magnetocrystalline anisotropy of FeF2; is considered in the strong anisotropy model taking into account the fourth-order spin Hamiltonian terms. The uniaxial anisotropy constants K1 and K2 are derived theoretically and their pressure dependence is discussed quantitatively. The theory and numerical results of this paper are useful with regard to Fe2+ in other isomorphic fluorides, namely: MgF2, ZnF2, VF2 and MnF2. It is found that the fourth-order spin Hamiltonian parameters are accessible to experimental detection from spectroscopic studies on Fe2+ in non-magnetic fluorides and magnetic studies on Fe2+ : MnF2 and FeF2, preferably under high pressure.  相似文献

The hydrated shell of both Fe2+ and Fe3+ aqueous solutions are investigated by using the molecular dynamics (MD) and X-ray absorption structure (XAS) methods. The MD simulations show that the first hydrated shells of both Fe2+ and Fe3+ are characterized by a regular octahedron with an Fe-O distance of 2.08 for Fe2+ and 1.96 for Fe3+, and rule out the occurrence of a Jahn-Teller distortion in the hydrated shell of an Fe2+ aqueous solution. The corresponding X-ray absorption near edge fine structure (XANES) calculation successfully reproduces all features in the XANES spectra in Fe2+ and Fe3+ aqueous solution. A feature that is located at energy 1 eV higher than the white line (WL) in an Fe3+ aqueous solution may be assigned to the contribution of the charge transfer.  相似文献

本文对用Co2+-Ti4+和Cu2+-Nb5+离子取代BaFe12O19单晶体中Fe3+离子进行了研究,以Bi2O3作为助熔剂生长出了BaFe12-2xCox2+Tix4+O19(x=0;0.04;0.09;0.13;0.27和0.68)以及BaFe12-x[Nb1/35+Cu2/32+]xO19(x=0;0.28;0.44和0.60)这两系列的单晶体,测定了100—300K温度范围内样品的磁化强度σ与单轴各向异性常数K1,我们发现,对Co2+-Ti4+取代的样品,当x≤0.09时,其σ与K1随x的增加而缓慢增加;当x>0.09时,其σ与K1随x的增加而迅速降低,至x=1.1时,K1变为零,对Nb5+-Cu2+取代的样品,其σ值在整个成份范围内基本保持不变,且有缓慢增加趋势;而K1值则随x增加而单调下降,提出了取代离子在M型六角铁氧体中可能的分布模型来解释我们的结果。 关键词:  相似文献

Electron spin resonance has been observed for Fe3+ and Mn2+ ions occupying sites with trigonal symmetry in undoped and doped Verneuil-grown crystals of the ilmenite type compound MgTiO3. At 300 K, the fine structure parameters in the spin Hamiltonian are (in 10?4cm?1) D = +844 (± 1), (a? F) = +118 (± 1), a = 69 (± 7) for Fe3+ and D = +164 (± 1), (a ? F) = +10.2 (± l), a = 7.0 (± 1) for Mn2+. These values are compared with literature data for Fe3+ and Mn2+ in other oxides, especially Al2o3, with particular reference to the recent “superposition” theory of the effect of a trigonal distortion. From the orientation of the axes of cubic pseudosymmetry of the spin Hamiltonian, and with the assumption that a has the same sign for both ions, it is proposed that Fe3+ and Mn2+ occupy the same octahedral site, namely the Mg2+ site. Anomalous line splittings observed for one sample were attributed to twinning on (0001) or {1120} planes.  相似文献

EPR spectra of KNbO3:Fe single crystals are obtained in the - 10–110°C temperature range. The angular dependence of resonant lines is well reproduced by spin Hamiltonian parameters relevant to a Fe3+ impurity ion substituted to Nb ion in KNbO3 crystal. The temperature behaviour of resonant lines is explained by a quadratic dependence of axial parameter D vs polarization Ps of the form D = βP2s in the orthorhombic phase.  相似文献

The magnetic and dielectric properties of polycrystalline Cd1 - xFexCr2S4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.9) are investigated. Upon substitution of Cd by Fe, the Curie temperature (TC) is increased while the saturation magnetization is decreased. A low doping level of Fe increases the permittivity, while a high doping level decreases the permittivity, which is explained by the internal barrier layer capacitor model. Kinks are observed in the temperature-dependent permittivity and loss tangent near TC for the samples with x= 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, implying the existence of the magnetodielectric effect. Furthermore, with the increase of Fe content, a decrease of anomaly deviation rate induced by internal molecular field is revealed in the permittivity, while an increase is observed for the loss tangent.  相似文献
