In this paper, we investigate an initial boundary value problem for 1D compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes equations with large initial data, density-dependent viscosity, external force, and vacuum. Making full use of the local estimates of the solutions in Cho and Kim (2006) [3] and the one-dimensional properties of the equations and the Sobolev inequalities, we get a unique global classical solution (ρ,u) where ρC1([0,T];H1([0,1])) and uH1([0,T];H2([0,1])) for any T>0. As it is pointed out in Xin (1998) [31] that the smooth solution (ρ,u)∈C1([0,T];H3(R1)) (T is large enough) of the Cauchy problem must blow up in finite time when the initial density is of nontrivial compact support. It seems that the regularities of the solutions we obtained can be improved, which motivates us to obtain some new estimates with the help of a new test function ρ2utt, such as Lemmas 3.2-3.6. This leads to further regularities of (ρ,u) where ρC1([0,T];H3([0,1])), uH1([0,T];H3([0,1])). It is still open whether the regularity of u could be improved to C1([0,T];H3([0,1])) with the appearance of vacuum, since it is not obvious that the solutions in C1([0,T];H3([0,1])) to the initial boundary value problem must blow up in finite time.  相似文献

The low Mach number limit for the full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with general initial data is rigorously justified in the whole space R3R3. First, the uniform-in-Mach-number estimates of the solutions in a Sobolev space are established on a finite time interval independent of the Mach number. Then the low Mach number limit is proved by combining these uniform estimate with a theorem due to Métivier and Schochet (2001) [45] for the Euler equations that gives the local energy decay of the acoustic wave equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with Cauchy problem for the multi-dimensional (N ≥ 3) non-isentropic full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a global strong solution to the system for the initial data close to a stable equilibrium state in critical Besov spaces. Our method is mainly based on the uniform estimates in Besov spaces for the proper linearized system with convective terms.  相似文献

We prove the existence of globally defined variational solutions to the compressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations with the coefficients depending on the temperature. As a by-product, we give a simple proof for the nonexistence of nontrivial weak time-periodic solutions by the entropy principle of Clausius–Duhem and a new Poincaré-type inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the three dimensional Cauchy problem of the compressible micropolar viscous flows. We prove the existence of unique global classical solution for smooth initial data with small initial energy but possibly large oscillations and the initial density may allowed to contain the interior and far field vacuum states. We prove the global existence of weak solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible, heat-conducting flow in one space dimension with large, discontinuous initial data, and we obtain apriori estimates for these solutions which are independent of time, sufficient to determine their asymptotic behavior. In particular, we show that, as time goes to infinity, the solution tends to a constant state determined by the initial mass and the initial energy. and that the magnitudes of singularities in the solution decay to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, we will investigate the global existence of solutions for the one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations when the density is in contact with vacuum continuously. More precisely, the viscosity coefficient is assumed to be a power function of density, i.e., μ(ρ)=Aρθ, where A and θ are positive constants. In particular, the initial density can have compact support. We study the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible barotropic fluids in a bounded or unbounded domain Ω of R3. We first prove the local existence of solutions (ρ,u) in C([0,T*]; (ρ +H3(Ω)) × under the assumption that the data satisfies a natural compatibility condition. Then deriving the smoothing effect of the velocity u in t>0, we conclude that (ρ,u) is a classical solution in (0,T**)×Ω for some T** ∈ (0,T*]. In this paper, we study the evolutions of the interfaces between the gas and the vacuum for viscous one-dimensional isentropic gas motions. We prove the global existence and uniqueness for discontinuous solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible flow with density-dependent viscosity coefficient. Precisely, the viscosity coefficient μ is proportional to ρθ with 0<θ<1. Specifically, we require that the initial density be piecewise smooth with arbitrarily large jump discontinuities, bounded above and below away from zero, in the interior of gas. We show that the discontinuities in the density persist for all time, and give a decay result for the density as t→+∞.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the global existence and convergence rates of the smooth solutions for the compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in R3. We prove the global existence of the smooth solutions by the standard energy method under the condition that the initial data are close to the constant equilibrium state in H3-framework. Moreover, if additionally the initial data belong to Lp with , the optimal convergence rates of the solutions in Lq-norm with 2≤q≤6 and its spatial derivatives in L2-norm are obtained.  相似文献
