THE VALUE DISTRIBUTION AND UNIQUENESS OF ONE CERTAIN TYPE OF DIFFERENTIAL-DIFFERENCE POLYNOMIALS

In this article, we investigate the distribution of the zeros and uniqueness of differential-difference polynomials G(z) =(fn(fm(z)- 1)dΠj=1f(z + cj)vj)(k)- α(z),H(z) =(fn(f(z)- 1)mdΠj=1f(z + cj)vj)(k)- α(z),where f is transcendental entire function of finite order, cj(j = 1, 2, ···, d), n, m, d, and vj(j = 1, 2, ···, d) are integers, and obtain some theorems, which extended and improved many previous results.

MEROMORPHIC SOLUTIONS OF A TYPE OF SYSTEM OF COMPLEX DIFFERENTIAL-DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS

Applying Nevanlinna theory of the value distribution of meromorphic functions,we mainly study the growth and some other properties of meromorphic solutions of the type of system of complex differential and difference equations of the following form∑nj=1aj(z)f1(λj1)(z+cj) = R2(z, f2(z)),∑nj=1βj(z)f2(λj2)(z+cj)=R1(Z,F1(z)).(*)where λij(j = 1, 2, ···, n; i = 1, 2) are finite non-negative integers, and cj(j = 1, 2, ···, n)are distinct, nonzero complex numbers, αj(z), βj(z)(j = 1, 2, ···, n) are small functions relative to fi(z)(i = 1, 2) respectively, Ri(z, f(z))(i = 1, 2) are rational in fi(z)(i = 1, 2)with coefficients which are small functions of fi(z)(i = 1, 2) respectively.

一类高阶线性微分方程解的增长性

研究一类高阶线性微分方程f(k)+Hk-1f(k-1)+…+H1f'+ H0f=0解的性质,其中Hj=Aj1(z)ePj1(z)+Aj2(z)ePj2(z)(j=0,1,…,k-1),Pjq(q=1,2)是n次复系数多项式,Ajq(z)是级小于n的整函数,当Pjq首项系数的主幅角不全相等时,得到这类方程的超越解有无穷级且超级为n.     

亚纯函数的差分多项式

假设函数f(z)是亚纯函数,H(z,f)是关于f(z)的差分多项式,s(z)是关于f(z)的小函数,考察了差分多项式f(z)~nH(z,f)-s(z)的零点分布问题.首先得到了差分多项式f(z)~nH(z,f)-s(z)的零点计数函数和函数f(z)的特征函数以及极点计数函数之间的一些不等式估计,再根据这些不等式,建立了Hayman关于亚纯函数的一个经典结果的差分模拟.     

q-差分多项式的值分布(英文)

本文研究了零级的亚纯函数的q-差分多项式的值分布.利用Nevanlinna理论,得到了以下结果.设f是零级的超越亚纯函数,m是非负整数,q,a,c∈C\{0},b∈C,α(z)是f(z)的小函数.如果f(qz+c)-f(z)≡0,n≥5,则f(z)n(f(z)m-a)[f(qz+c)-f(z)]-α(z)和f(z)n+a[f(qz+c)-f(z)]-b有无穷多个零点.该结果改进了定理D中的n≥7和定理E中的n≥8.

The generalized Roper-Suffridge extension operator Ф(f) on the bounded complete Reinhardt domain Ω in Cn with n ≥ 2 is defined by Φrn,β2,γ2,…,βn,γn(f)(z)=(rf(z1/r),(rf(z1/r)/z1)β2(f'(z1/r))γ2z2,…,(rf(z1/r)/z1)βn(f'(z1/r)γnzn) for (z1,z2,…,zn) ∈Ω, where r = r(Ω) = sup{|z1| (z1,z2,…,zn) ∈ Ω},0 ≤ γj ≤ 1 -βj,0 ≤ βj ≤ 1,and we choose the branch of the power functions such that (f(z1)/z1)βj |z1=0 = 1 and (f′(z1))γj |z1=0 =1,j = 2,…,n. In this paper, we prove that the operator Фrn,β2,γ2,…,βn,γn(f) is from the subset of S*α(U) to S*α(Ω)(0 ≤ α ＜ 1) on Ω and the operator Фrn,β2,γ2,…, βn,γn(f) preserves the starlikeness of order α or the spirallikeness of type β on Dp for some suitable constantsβj,γj,pj, where Dp ={(z1,z2,…,zn) ∈ Cn ∑nj=1|zj|pj ＜ 1} (pj ＞ 0, j = 1,2,…,n), U is the unit disc in the complex plane C, and Sα* (Ω) is the class of all normalized starlike mappings of order α on Ω. We also obtain that Φrn,β2,γ2,…,γn(f) ∈ S*α(Dp) if and only if f ∈ S*a(U) for 0 ≤ α ＜ 1 and some suitable constants βj,γj,pj.

Axiomatizability of reducts of algebras of relations

In this paper, we prove that any subreduct of the class of representable relation algebras whose similarity type includes intersection, relation composition and converse is a non-finitely axiomatizable quasivariety and that its equational theory is not finitely based. We show the same result for subreducts of the class of representable cylindric algebras of dimension at least three whose similarity types include intersection and cylindrifications. A similar result is proved for subreducts of the class of representable sequential algebras. Received October 7, 1998; accepted in final form September 10, 1999.     

Characterization of types of asymptotic discernibility of families of hypotheses

We give a characterization of the types of asymptotic discernibility of families of hypotheses in the case of hypothetical measures that are not, in general, mutually absolutely continuous. The case when the logarithm of the likelihood ratio admits an asymptotic expansion of the type of an expansion with local asymptotic normality is examined in detail. Lengths of periods of continued fractions of square roots of integers

Empirical study of the period’s length T of the continued fractions of $\sqrt{Q}$ (for growing integers Q) shows several strange asymptotical results, for instance, $T\leq C\sqrt{Q}\ln{Q}$ . These results show important differences between the statistics of the elements of the continued fractions of random real numbers and of square roots of random integers.
