In this article, we consider surfaces that are general withrespect to a three-dimensional toric idealistic cluster. Inparticular, this means that blowing up a toric constellationprovides an embedded resolution of singularities for these surfaces.First we give a formula for the topological zeta function directlyin terms of the cluster. Then we study the eigenvalues of monodromy.In particular, we derive a useful criterion to be an eigenvalue.In a third part, we prove the monodromy and the holomorphy conjecturefor these surfaces.  相似文献

In this paper we study a quasilinear boundary value problem of Neumann type with discontinuous terms. In particular we consider a problem in which the p–Laplacian is involved. In order to prove the existence of solutions we replace this problem with a multivalued approximation of it and, using a variational approach for locally Lipschitz functionals, we prove two existence results for it.  相似文献

In this paper we address a key issue in scenario classification, where classifying concepts show a natural overlapping. In fact, overlapping needs to be evaluated whenever classes are not crisp, in order to be able to check if a certain classification structure fits reality and still can be useful for our declared decision making purposes. In this paper we address an object recognition problem, where the best classification with respect to background is the one with less overlapping between the class object and the class background. In particular, in this paper we present the basic properties that must be fulfilled by overlap functions, associated to the degree of overlapping between two classes. In order to define these overlap functions we take as reference properties like migrativity, homogeneity of order 1 and homogeneity of order 2. Hence we define overlap functions, proposing a construction method and analyzing the conditions ensuring that t-norms are overlap functions. In addition, we present a characterization of migrative and strict overlap functions by means of automorphisms.  相似文献

In this paper we establish the existence and multiplicity of solutions for a quasilinear elliptic problem under strong resonance conditions at infinity. In the first section we summarize some properties of Jordan triples. Then we state some rules about differential calculus of rational functions. In the second section we generalize results about norms and traces of Jordan algebras. In the next section we define a group of birational functions belonging to a Jordan triple and characterize this group by differential equations. A special form of these differential equations was given by M. Koecher (see [3], page 44, Theorem 2.1.). In the last section we give some examples. In particular one obtains the exceptional group E6 as a homomorphic image of a transformation group.  相似文献

In this paper we will consider two-person zero-sum games and derive a general approach for solving them. We apply this approach to a queueing problem. In section 1 we will introduce the model and formulate the Key-theorem. In section 2 we develop the theory that we will use in section 3 to prove the Key-theorem. Monoids and acts which may have zero elements are considered. In Section 1 we construct a O-wreath product of monoids. In 2 we prove the theorem that the endomorphism monoid of a free act over a monoid with zero can be represented as a O-wreath product. Considering monoids with tero we are interested in their annihilator properties. In 3 we give necessary and sufficient conditions for a O-wreath product of monoids to be a right (left) Baer (Rickart) monoid. In 4 we obtain as a consequence corresponding conditions for the endomorphism monoid of a free act over a monoid with zero.  相似文献

In this work, we study a class of nonlinear eigenvalue problems related to fully discontinuous operators. In particular, we prove the existence of a critical point for two distinct problems. Connected with this problem, we also study a minimization problem with constraint, and we investigate the existence of solutions for a resonant case near zero. Moreover, we give some estimates and qualitative properties of solutions by using the relative rearrangement theory.  相似文献

In this work we employ a new method to penalize a constrained non solid vector optimization problem by means of a scalarization functional applied to the constraints system. Then, we formulate optimality conditions which mainly use several types of regularity for single and set-valued maps. In order to motivate our demarche, we discuss in detail the assumptions used in the main results and we show how it can be verified.  相似文献

In this paper we study in detail the geometrical structure of global pullback and forwards attractors associated to non-autonomous Lotka-Volterra systems in all the three cases of competition, symbiosis or prey-predator. In particular, under some conditions on the parameters, we prove the existence of a unique nondegenerate global solution for these models, which attracts any other complete bounded trajectory. Thus, we generalize the existence of a unique strictly positive stable (stationary) solution from the autonomous case and we extend to Lotka-Volterra systems the result for scalar logistic equations. To this end we present the sub-supertrajectory tool as a generalization of the now classical sub-supersolution method. In particular, we also conclude pullback and forwards permanence for the above models.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a characterization of best Chebyshev approximation to set-valued functions from a family of continuous functions with the weak betweeness property. As a consequence, we obtain a characterization of Kolmogorov type for best simultaneous approximation to an infinity set of functions. We introduce the concept of a set-sun and give a characterization of it. In addition, we prove a property of Amir–Ziegler type for a family of real functions and we get a characterization of best simultaneous approximation to two functions  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a continuous-time Markov regime-switching model for a pension plan with a collective defined benefit character. In particular, we focus on optimal funding and asset allocation problem for a fund manager who wants to maximize the expected utility of the difference ratio between the benefit and contribution rates to the total salary until ruin. Using the techniques and methods of stochastic control, we present a system of Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman equations for this optimization problem and establish a verification theorem. In the special cases of logarithmic and power utility, we solve the problem explicitly and present some numerical examples to illustrate our results.  相似文献

In this paper we include topics which we consider are relevant building blocks to design a theory of mathematics education. In doing so, we introduce a pretheory consisting of a set of interdisciplinary ideas which lead to an understanding of what occurs in the “central nervous system”—our metaphor for the classroom and eventually in more global settings. In classical design, a low-order compensator is applied to a given plant. In this paper, we present an algebric construction of low (or fixed)-order compensators. Using the theory of root clustering, we achieve the following design requirements: closed-loop relative stability, relative stable compensators, and compensator's zero inclusion. In addition, we present a general robust analysis for real parameters. To reduce the computational difficulties, we suggest the use of low-order compensators.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop the theory of the discrete moving frame in two different ways. In the first half of the paper, we consider a discrete moving frame defined on a lattice variety and the equivalence classes of global syzygies that result from the first fundamental group of the variety. In the second half, we consider the continuum limit of discrete moving frames as a local lattice coalesces to a point. To achieve a well-defined limit of discrete frames, we construct multispace, a generalisation of the jet bundle that also generalises Olver’s one-dimensional construction. Using interpolation to provide coordinates, we prove that it is a manifold containing the usual jet bundle as a submanifold. We show that continuity of a multispace moving frame ensures that the discrete moving frame converges to a continuous one as lattices coalesce. The smooth frame is, at the same time, the restriction of the multispace frame to the embedded jet bundle. We prove further that the discrete invariants and syzygies approximate their smooth counterparts. In effect, a frame on multispace allows smooth frames and their discretisations to be studied simultaneously. In our last chapter we discuss two important applications, one to the discrete variational calculus, and the second to discrete integrable systems. Finally, in an appendix, we discuss a more general result concerning equicontinuous families of discretisations of moving frames, which are consistent with a smooth frame.  相似文献

In this article, we generalize modulus‐based synchronous multisplitting methods to horizontal linear complementarity problems. In particular, first we define the methods of our concern and prove their convergence under suitable smoothness assumptions. Particular attention is devoted also to modulus‐based multisplitting accelerated overrelaxation methods. Then, as multisplitting methods are well‐suited for parallel computations, we analyze the parallel behavior of the proposed procedures. In particular, we do so by solving various test problems by a parallel implementation of our multisplitting methods. In this context, we carry out parallel computations on GPU with CUDA.  相似文献

In this paper we construct Gorenstein-projective modules over Morita rings with zero bimodule homomorphisms and we provide sufficient conditions for such rings to be Gorenstein Artin algebras. This is the first part of our work which is strongly connected with monomorphism categories. In the second part, we investigate monomorphisms where the domain has finite projective dimension. In particular, we show that the latter category is a Gorenstein subcategory of the monomorphism category over a Gorenstein algebra. Finally, we consider the category of coherent functors over the stable category of this Gorenstein subcategory and show that it carries a structure of a Gorenstein abelian category.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove an existence and uniqueness result for a bi-layer shallow water model in depth-mean velocity formulation. Some smoothness results for the solution are also obtained. In a previous work we proved the same results for a one-layer problem. Now the difficulty arises from the terms coupling the two layers. In a previous paper, we have proved that a planar quadratic system with invariant parabola Г has at most one limit cycle. In this paper, we use geometric characteristics to give necessary and sufficient conditions under which a PQSГ with three non-degenerate singular points can be transformed into two different definite forms.
